Women Of The House | EPIC AU 💋
Pairing: Amelia x Nikolai, Michelle x Rochelle
Characters mentioned/hinted: Petra, Melissa, Arrow and Liane
Note: As I was writing this, I realized I put a mix of first person POV with three person POV oops 😅 oh well! AND YES I HAD FUN WITH THE COLORS!
— Warrior Pen style Au
—
At the 16, I became the youngest queen of my island and did it with pride. I will admit it wasn’t easy even had my doubts, but I had my family and friends beside me, so it became a ride.
Years past by and it clearly was time for me to become a faithful bride. I knew I needed someone clever, loving, empathetic, experienced and supportive.
Weeks went by without any results of any kind that could fit the charts. Then I started to feel like I wanted something more—I wanted someone could be there for me and make me smile on my darkest days, as I can do the same for him.
As we search, Petra thought of Alexander Of Sparta, but Melissa had her eyes on someone different.
I wanted someone smarter. Kinder! Then we searched his family tree, as my eyes caught onto the boy for me. A boy I would give the world to see…
Nikolai.
He made my heart beat faster than I swore it couldn’t do such a thing. He made my smile grew even more. He had a lightning in his darkest days, I couldn’t explain but it felt just right.
He made every face in our island blush, men and women alike, with his recognition and charm. Trouble. That was the word whisper across the room from the elderly woman who stood there watching.
It felt like a roar! A fighter with a heartbeat that held layers.
I swear, he was one of the few men I had a curiosity for. He’s what I saved my affection for. Oh! He was the most impressionable man I ever seen, witty enough to be.
But long before we had a true chance of peace, he wrote to me that he thinking the same thing.
We were wondering…
Where is she? Where is the women you’ll have as your bride?
Where is he? Where is the man you’ll have as your guide?
Where is the love with whom you’ll spend your life?
Cause in my darkness, my heart is my drive. Time is fleeting, it’s running out, time to be women of the house.
—
Queen Amelia tug on her hood as she took a deep breath, her sword behind her back as she walked towards the palace. Her palace. As she headed to grab the doors, she paused hearing voices as she glances around to see several ships docked afar.
‘The fu-? Is my man having a party of some kind? I mean it’s been more than 10 years, he can do whatever he wants but still.’ She thought.
But she kept her guard up, as she slide in between the palace walls only to find it to be completely torn down and sacked like Troy.
‘Oh hell nah!…pigs.’
She even saw the silhouette of her husband in his layered clothes, slightly longer hair and stronger built. He built a challenge for the people here as he left the room.
Behind him followed their dog, Arrow.
‘He’s replacing me?! Oh wait, I been gone for years. Nevermind..’
Whoever could string Mia’s bow…
But what caught her attention more were the words coming out of men and women too. Suitor and suitress.
‘They are gonna wh-? And then—ooh hell no! Nah nuh! Nope! Geh—not today!’
— — —
I went on to hide their weapons as they OUTWARDLY planned out their attacks against my man AND MY SON—closing the doors as i shuffled to the weapons room. That’s when I saw a certain white dog.
‘Oh shi..ahh!’ I thought as I was approached by the fluffy mutt.
I was sniffled, licked and nuzzled in the side by the dog. Mainly surprised he would still recognize me.
“Oh, oh, hey, baby. I missed you too.” I whispered, “Shh, Arrow.”
Arrow calmed down puffing his chest out in front of me and looked determined, yet faithful.
“Good boy. Where’s daddy?” I asked in a whisper.
And without a single second to spare, I got my answer. Like a shadow in the wind, I looked up to see him coming through the curtains from the other side of the room.
I lost my breath, my mouth went dry—
‘Ah shit! He’s looking at me! He’s looking at me! I’m not even freshened up, oh no, I probably smell like sea! And then—uhh why is he looking at me like that?! Gah—’
Before I knew, I was slammed onto my back facing the floor, seeing my husband on top of me. He had a dagger in his hand and the other locking me in.
“You think you can buy me into your arms so easily?! That you’ll have to take me down—” Nikolai exclaimed with a glare.
I looked at him with frantic eyes, my hood fell off and my hair fell onto his fingertips. I could hear the sounds of suitors screaming and laughing down the hallway.
“Baby, wait it’s me!” I shouted.
“As if that were truth, I had women claim—” He snarled but then paused noting the scar on my cheek, “Wait...Mia? Is it really you?”
“You else would think to come in here?”
“I…hi.”
“Hey..”
He removed himself from me, and stumbled back onto his feet tugging me off the floor with him. I could see the wav of emotion spiraling his eyes and body, as he picked up his infamous sword.
“We uh..we have a lot of explaining to do to each other..” I mumbled, reaching for my bow and arrow.
He chuckled dryly and hummed, “Yeah, no kidding…”
Then I saw the determination in his eyes.
“Listen. Here’s the plan, for they don’t suspect a thing, you’ll take the ones in here and I’ll take the ones who’s stupid enough to reach our halls.” Nikolai stated, with a firm expression.
“But..” I started. “You don’t have a question for how I..?”
“No buts. And believe me, I have questions. But first..”
Before I could say anything, his hand slipped underneath my chin and pressed a long awaited kiss onto my lips. I hummed returning the affection, as my hand came to rest on his chest.
“But first, I have plans to ravish my dear wife once this is over.” He mumbled between our lips, before pulling away to exit the floor.
That left me breathless…

-> CUT TO MOUNT OLYMPUS ✨
Liane sat down with her large mirrors on display watching the screen unfold as she squealed. She is holding her tissues in her hands and replying the scene.
“Oh my gosh! Finally some romance—wait why is he..? Oh right.’ She said.
Michelle walked in raising an eyebrow muttering, “What in gods are you—ooh! Gross, my human with Rochelle’s human again..eh they’re kinda cute.”
“Go away, i’m watching the show—oh my! Did she just..?”
“THATS MY GIRL! Shoot them in the back!”
That’s when Rochelle walked in, “What is all this yelling abou—Oh my goodness!”
“ISN’T IT WONDERFUL?!” Michelle yelled with a grin.

What’s In My Bag Challenge — Mia Addition ➕
Okay, I was literally asleep when I got this Tag, but since I am waiting for Petra to watch Finding Dory, I might as well join in. Shall we? *wink at the camera 📸*
Soo I have different bags for different occasions. Technically it’s two bags! One for my day-to-day stuff, one for SHIELD days and if I am going to the mall, which is my biggest bag…oops! *chuckles awkwardly* I’m rambling, aren’t I?
Anyways sooo
Let’s do my day to day bag! 👜
In my day to day bag, I have the essentials. At least for me hahaha. Oh wait sorry this is my purse! Or bag, whichever one you prefer to call it. I know your probably thinking, this isn’t mine *🤨 laughing a bit* but it is! I had this bag boy since high school, but I don’t bring it to SHIELD anymore because I rather not have my bosses think I’m a childish little lady.

I was gifted this bag for my 16th birthday! Thanks to my step-daddy Ben and my mama for giving the guy the idea, because he had no specific idea what to give me. Aside from taking me out to eat on my birthday.
And yes I know it has Hello Kitty on it! Along with a Pokémon character, Peter gave it to me, sooo I never took it off. As for the Lotso mark on it? My step-daddy didn’t not he was a villian in Toy Story 3 when he stuck the sticker on there *😂 and shrugs* don’t worry it removable!
As for what’s inside? I have my sunglasses! 🕶️

These were a gift from a friend, who was very kind to hand them to me! I don’t always get to wear them very often because of the weather lately, being all over the place. One minute it’s cloudy and chilly, the next it’s warm and sunny. The f-? *camera cuts off*
I have coconut scented creams in here and whatnot, nothing cool or fancy. You sometimes just need to keep your hands from not getting dry! But I do got some pretty nice stuff in here *showcase her phone case, bracelets and earbuds🎧*

— I love theses! My earbuds tend to change every few years, because I use them every single day sooo they end up getting damaged. I used to use a hair clip to hold them together, but I was at the dollar store when I found this ADORABLE Snoopy headband holder *🥹 smiling*.
As for my phonecase, I tend to change the whole phone case to a lighter color when we get to Spring and Summer time hehehe! I go from a cherry red 🍒phone case to a cherry blossom 🌸 color with pinks.
The whole bracelet situation is always a mess haha. At the moment, I have my bracelet from Tiffany & Co. which technically I found years ago during my first year at SHIELD. Let me explain, I was on a mission in Italy, and while I was getting coffee near a park, I found this type of chain style bracelet just sit around. At first I thought it was a trap or someone lost it, so I left it alone.
Didn’t touch it! 7 days later, after the mission was completed, I returned back to the park near the cafe, and the bracelet was right there, right where I left it, I looked around to see if anybody had found it. Nope. Nothing. Soooo I took it with me! I know someone might classify it as stealing, but I can’t say it was stealing. No one claimed it!
*looks inside her bag* I have my wallet, which I am not gonna showcase on here. But it’s a cute Tiffany & Co. wallet, just so you know! I have a water bottle, because you should stay hydrated people! Oooh I got TONs of bubblegum in here, mints as well. Even crackers! Hey, a girl can get hungry and need a small snack to hold her over until lunchtime.
Tissues, because I am always emotional haha, and allergies are always floating around. Ooh! I forgot I have my cherry lipstick in here. I don’t use it as often as I should, but I used to wear it every single week, if possible. *keeps looking around* I have a couple of band aids, wipes and hair ties. You always need to be prepared.
Hm, I got a pen in here, a few pieces of paper—*opens the pieces of paper and read them out loud*—this one is a note from Liane that said ‘Buy some more strawberries and peaches! Thx ☺️’. This one was a list of things to buy such as shampoo, more conditioner and hair combs! We have a lot of different people in The Tower, so we need to buy items every 3 days!
Seriously, every two days, someone is going to the store to buy whatever we need. Sometimes it’s me, sometimes it’s Ethan, or Petra, even Liane will go out with Rick and Nat!
*searching for more stuff* Yikes! I have some wrappers, and more pieces of paper in here. I need to clean this bag out later! I have a charger for my phone, because for whatever reason I loose my battery real fast.
OHH! I have a headband, nail file since you never know when you might break a nail people—oh shit I am missing my Starbucks card. *gasps searching around in the bag then sighs with a pout 🥺* I am pretty forgetful right now and tend to misplace things, so I am pretty sure I have it somewhere in The Tower hahah. I will find it eventually!
Let me see what else I have in? *she raise an eyebrow 🤨 * Why the heck do I have a pair of socks in here?! Ooh right! I brought socks last week, just in case I got chilly. Anyways! I have Advil and Tylenol for anyone who needs it.
Uhh i don’t think i have any other interesting things to show ya!
Sooo yeah that’s what’s in my Day-To-Day Bag. I hope y’all like it
Who’s next? 👀
Marvel AU - What's in my Bag: Liane Felton
*takes a seat on the couch as the camera comes into focus*
Liane: Okay..do I look at you or do I look at the camera?
*title card saying Liane Felton: What's in my Bag?*
Liane: Hi, I'm Liane Felton and today I will be showing you What's in my Bag! Yknow I was supposed to do this for Vanity Fair during my modelling years? Yeah, that would've been- *laughs as the camera cuts*

Liane: Ahem so this is my Bag *brings into frame a large white purse* This is my baby, she goes everywhere with me and I can fit so much inside her pockets! Huh? *responds to person off screen* Of course my purse is a She! Look at her!
*opens the back pocket* So in this little hidden part that's closest to my body when I carry it I keep my phone *holds it up and there's a photo of her and Ethan as her screensaver* cause New York is insane. I also keep my sunglasses in here *pulls out her signature heart shaped sunglasses* I first got these, God how long ago? I was given them for a photoshoot during my modelling years and I fell in love with these babies, and I outright said "Hey can I keep these?" And they said sure! I also keep a handy dandy tampon in here *shows it to the camera* yknow cause...I mean obviously.

*opens the main part of the purse* Ah so first thing I see, my wallet *holds it up* its got all the important s**t, sorry stuff, you might need to bleep that *laughs* oh God! Sorry, wallet, it has everything important but most importantly this *shows a photo of her smiling and Belladonna not smiling* my beautiful daughter, she looks so happy here. Oh underneath that, my portable umbrella! *pulls it out* It's purple obviously and because if I've done my hair nice, I ain't getting that wet! So umbrella. But if its hot, sunscreen. Not bringing back those tanning bed days, trust me.
Ah next is pills, Advil, Hayfever, what have you, I'm always prepared. Pack of tissues, boring but useful. Oh here we go, my mini makeup kit. *holds it up* Yknow for if I'm suddenly going for a meal, if the paparazzi decide to stalk me, so I look good! It contains, lipstick in my signature shade, Barbie Pink. Eyeliner cause I do not leave the house without lining my eyes. Teeny bit of blush, concealer if my skin decides its gonna turn on me, and makeup wipes if something smears or smudges. This comes in real handy. Oh and a mini can of setting spray.

*keeps reaching in* Ah my SHIELD ID, if this is not in my bag I freak out, so this stays in here. Car keys *jingles them* uh, oh a can of Red Bull, forgot that was there. Pack of bubblegum, my current flavor of choice is apple! Spare charging cable when my phone dies and a portable charger. I go nowhere without my phone being at least above 80% charged. Oh small snack *pulls out a bag of sweets* cause sometimes you just want sweets, mini bottle of body spray, my current scent is Victoria's Secret Coconut Milk and Rose, *spritzes herself*, mini deodorant so I don't stink in public, another can of Red Bull...

*keeps rooting around* Some old receipts, another lipstick, Work Phone, oh my headphones cause music keeps me sane, my sketchpad and pencils! This is where I just sketch what I see or if inspiration sparks for a look, I can just doodle it up. Wireless earbuds if the headphones are too much, hairbrush and hairties cause sometimes I need my hair up! And that's it! Thank you for watching! *camera cuts*
Hope you enjoy, not tried this interview format in a while, idea just came to me randomly, @ask-missparker think you could go next? I wanna see what you'd do with this format.

Oh to be 16 with an emotionally controlling boyfriend, taking a late night drive with the hot new guy who just GETS you and has quickly become your best friend, to be building him up and telling him about your future, when the world slows down and he looks at you like THAT
And you look at him like THIS
And you know you shouldn't be here, that you're on the precipice of disaster, but it doesn't matter because you're young and you've never felt so alive and free and understood

It Takes Time — EPIC AU🪴
Pairings: Nikolai x Amelia, Rochelle x Michelle
Summary: How the first 10 years went for Amelia
Guest Star/Quick Cameo — Hermes aka Cole
Note: Michelle is a mood hehe 😜
—
Year 1 — 💞
Weeks went by, Amelia allowed herself to be busy and distracted. Tending to her people’s issues as she saw more folks sail away to war in Troy, meanwhile she answered scrollings, attending meetings, and tending to the garden.
When she had time, she would particularly taking time to practice her swordsmanship. But most all, carefully taking care of her 5 month old son Joshua, as she’d carry him on her hip while checking on the halls.
Rochelle was at Troy with Nikolai and Amelia assumed that Michelle would be there too. But she was wrong.
One afternoon, Amelia put 7 months old Joshua on the floor and let him crawl around. She turn her back around for a minute and then he was gone! But the only thing she heard were giggles along with a voice from the dining hall, it was too early for lunch, as she grabbed her sword and entered.
To her surprise, she saw Michelle bouncing her son on her leg while eating a piece of ham. Amelia lowered her sword and squeaked, “Michelle?! What the-how the-?”
Michell looked unfazed and waved her piece of ham, “Hungry?”
Amelia blinked, “No! What are you doing here? Should you be at war or something?”
Michelle raise an eyebrow and giving Joshua a piece of ham to chew on, despite the baby not having any teeth yet, as she answered, “Am I? I don’t remember any war in my schedule—OHH right, Troy! Nahh, I can watch from afar, besides everyone knows i did not start that fight.”
Amelia blinked, “I know Helen and Paris started the war because of a love affair but still. Shouldn’t you be there in support?”
Michelle rolled her eyes, “My dear friend, someone needs to keep you company and protect you. And that person is me! Besides, I don’t trust these men…”
Amelia raise an eyebrow, “But aren’t you the goddess of war?! You’re literally pissed off every single week.”
Michelle grumbles, “Don’t start.”
—
—
Year 3-5 — 🍋
Joshua is 4 years old today, babbling out phrases and chowing on whatever his little teeth can dig into, unless it’s vegetables then he’s spitting it out. His curls were looking more like a golden brown, looking blonde in the sunlight, according to Nikolai’s mother who would oftentimes visit the palace. Amelia’s little boy was being treated like the prince he’s always been.
His eyes filled of wonder and a sense of humor, along with strength that reminded Amelia so much like his father. Amelia sighed, thinking about the weight and pressure of not having her husband home. Waking up some mornings without him were tough rolling over to not see Nikolai fast asleep beside her, but other times she would feel alright to start her day.
She figured that the war in Troy would end soon, she hoped.
At least she had Michelle who would stop by with a firey laugh and a couple of words to keep her spirits high. Even updating her on things have been, as Hermes—Cole—would accomplish a little more detail with messages from what he could overhear from the front lines.
“Dawling! Look who’s here, it’s me.” He’ll say giggling pulling out a scroll and reading it, “It’s from Nik. It says ‘Hello love, I apologize I can’t be there but, blah, blah I miss you and blah blah blah I hope you’re having a nice day. We’re planning on having a meeting this afternoon, my love’—man, he writes a lot.”
Amelia would snicker, rolling her eyes at Cole’s words. Other days, Amelia found Michelle enjoying her time in the dining hall, teaching Joshua little moves—more like Michelle will sing but deny it saying Apollo’s new stupid song is stuck in her head—as the boy will giggles and ask her questions.
—
—
Year 6-7 — 🍴
To say Amelia was still holding onto the ball was an absolute, ridiculous understatement. 7 year of war, waiting, meetings, waking up alone and tending to her world. There were weeks and even months where she would not see Michelle, as she went off to watch over the war, accompanying soldiers and making twists in the direction of the people.
Even joining Rochelle, her beloved lady of Wisdom, in the fight as they watched over Nikolai if they weren’t somewhere else. Meanwhile at home — sailors, vendors, royals, politicians would arrive at the island to speak to Amelia on matters, as she’ll hold up meetings with them.
Sometimes—if not, she’ll usually leave it up to the captain and councilman of the court to deal with it, then report back to her later.
Instead, Amelia would find herself reading in bed to her boy, Joshua. Eating lunch with him, watching him playing with their dog in the yard, and joining him in his studies as well. Sometimes she’d find Joshua writing away in scrolls and crafting sketches filled by ideas of him own.
One afternoon, she got the question she was dreading to answer.
“Mama..” Joshua started, midway through eating dinner.
Amelia was chewing on a piece of chicken as she answered, “Yes, baby?”
“Is father ever going to come back?”
Amelia froze—yes, her now almost 7 year old son would ask for stories about his dad, pondering how he’s like, and listen to messages Hermes would send—but that question hasn’t truly been raise yet.
She took a breath and swallowed the piece of chicken before answer, “Bug, I like to believe that he will. It’s just taking longer than expected.”
“Why? Auntie Michy says they just fight all week.” Joshua asked in confusion, referring to Michelle.
“Well, yes, they do. But it’s more than that, it’s a fight between love and hate…Papa is on the front lines of that battle helping to sort everything out.” She explained, “So it takes time.”
Joshua nods and sighed before mumbling, “Does Papa think about us? I don’t even remember him…”
Amelia cupped his cheek and rubbed his cheekbone with her thumb as she said, “Of course he does, baby. I’m pretty sure you’re father is wondering if you’re doing okay.”
—+—
Years 8-10 — 🏹
Rumors we’re flying over the borders of the war would someday, somehow come to an abrupt ending. But then again, they were rumors. Amelia likes to say how this felt like the homestretch of it all.
She was considerably older now and grimace at the thought of getting older with the side of the bed remaining empty. There were days where she’d awakened to the sound of birds and servants voices, realizing that she on Nikolai’s side of the bed instead of her own. She will never admit it, because it felt wrong to say it, but having a bed all to herself felt pretty good sometimes. She was used to it by now, despite the odd feeling of not having a proper pair of arms wrapped around her in the morning.
Things had their routine by now.
Wake up at a later hour, lying in bed for a bit before crawling out of the bedroom to greet her son and mother in law at the breakfast table. Reading, doing some simple chores—yes, they had servants in the palace but she liked putting her clothes away as well—actives such as darts, entering the garden and taking her time to get her hair done. At some stage in the week, she’ll have a few meetings, taking time to enter the town, participate in a small event of training and greetings folks at the docks.
Sadly, her mother in law, Nikolai’s mother, passed away one night, peacefully in her sleep. Amelia sighed and sniffled, wiping away young Joshua’s tears at his grandmother being gone.
However one afternoon, during year 10, changed things.
Amelia was in the throne room painting, it was a rather strange scene, quiet but pleasant among the chaos of it all. She heard the sound of boots clapping the floor and smiled to see Michelle playfully sitting in her throne, keeping a watchful eye on everything that Amelia didn’t see.
Suddenly the sounds of screams, chatter and the noise of sails came into view—as Amelia put her brush down and gazed out the window. Her eyes doubled in size, seeing the docking of ships slowly approaching the shore. It wasn’t uncommon to have visitors but still.
“Michelle. What’s going on?” Amelia asked, looking between the window and her goddess friend.
Michelle snapped her fingers in realization before saying, “Ah! I knew I needed to tell you something.”
Amelia gestured for her to continue, “Tell me what?”
“That the war ended yesterday afternoon. People are packing up their weapons and crewmen to come back soon.” Michelle explained then pause, “Why are you looking me like that?”
“Because you didn’t say a word.”
“Ohhh right. Well, now you know..”
Michelle stay quietly grumbling about the stupid fact Nikolai and the other soldiers hid in a wooden horse to get the job done. She rolled her eyes in anger and annoyances, knowing she would’ve went in slashing mortals with her sword instead.
Amelia grinned in hope then rushed off to tell Joshua, who was climbing a tree with a few children of servants, in the garden as guards stood by watching the sight. Amelia chuckled at the sight of her son climbing, screaming and laughing with other children his ages.
“Darling, can you come over here for a moment?” She called out, as her gaze followed him jumping down from the branches.
Joshua jumped down and slide over catching him breath, “Yeah, ma?”
Amelia the moment to tell him the news that she just heard, seeing the young boy’s eyes lit up in awe and excitement. He asked if his father was on one of those ships, ready to rush off to the docks to find him.
“Well I don’t know yet but Michelle is here and-”, Amelia started but was cut off rather quickly.
Joshua gasped, “Aunt Michy?!”
Without a second chance to continue her sentence, her son ran off inside to greet the goddess of war, also known as his aunt Michelle.
Amelia smiled to herself that week in anticipation for her husband’s return, only for her smile to slowly fade away as time progressed. It’s been 9 days and he’s still not home?!
“I’mma kill him..” She muttered once in the war room, by Sunday afternoon.
Michelle looked up from chatting with someone when she heard her. She smirked, “You’ll what?”
“What are they doing? Having a party with the people in Troy who didn’t try to kill ‘em?!” Amelia remarked clearly not happy.
Michelle snickered, “Maybe. I usually don’t get to see this side of you. I like it.”

(In my case) Cause in my darkest days | Epic AU ✨
Pairing: Nikolai x Amelia, Rochelle x Michelle.
Summary: Before the chaos of the journey begins 🔨
Note: This is pure fun, feel free to contribute to this 😉
—
The past few days were an absolute oddball of moments.
Sailors docking their ships, soldiers fighting in the front edges of the garden, friends and relatives gathering around the palace. There were rumors floating around about the possibility recruits skilled men and women to war in Troy.
Most of all? The king of Ithaca had declared himself distracted and busy. Especially after Rochelle has strongly quick thought his mind and told him about the importance of going to Troy. She was a warrior of wisdom and war, made sense. So in response? He decided to keep himself and even faked an injury to not go.
The only thing was that he hasn’t told the missus yet.
When Queen Amelia came into their chamber, dressed in a slick pink nightgown and her hair in long pinned curls. She has finished putting their 5 month old son to bed, when she found him leaning against the railing of the balcony. Just like when they were younger, thankfully he hasn’t tried jumping, yet. Nikolai was staring at the stars above when he felt a hand on his lower back, he looked up to see his wife.
“There’s my girl.” He greeted her with a light smile. “As beautiful as ever,
She returned the smile, “Hey. Everything alright? It’s chilly out here, come inside.”
“In a moment.”
“You didn’t answer my question. You alright?”
Nikolai held back a couple of thoughts, he wasn’t sure how to respond to the question. His beloved wife noticed, as she leaned backwards against the railing to get a glimpse at his face. He knew that he had been watching the skies above for answers from the stars. Not alas, he had none.
How do you tell your wife you’re supposed to head off to war in a few days?
“No, no I’m not.” He told her, “Rochelle came over earlier today telling me about the current situation. You know, the war at Troy?”
Amelia nods and sighs, “Yes I know. What about it?”
“Well, apparently a few warriors are leading soldiers to fight and reclaim Helen. And I’m well…”
“You’re asked to join…”
Nikolai nods seemingly as he watches her face drop in disappointment. Neither one of them could imagine this. He didn’t even want to think of leaving his sweet boy alone.
“That’s why you’ve been busy all week long.” Amelia figured, chewing on her lower lip.
He nods with a sigh, taking her hand within his and pressing a soft kiss against her knuckled.
“I thought if I came up with plenty of reasons not to go, I’d be lucky enough to stay..” He explained, “Darling, believe me, I don’t want to go ahead with this trip and—”
“Go.” Amelia suddenly said noting the surprise expression on his face before explaining, “You’re a skilled fighter, my love, and a warrior of honor. Yes, it’ll hurt not having you home, but I can try and manage things here.”
“Amelia, no…”
“Nikolai, yes.”
“I don’t want to leave you or our son. Matter a fact, our friends and relatives…”
“You’ll have a team of skilled players in the field, some of whom are your friends..”
He saw the determination and understanding in her eyes as he smiled. He thanked every day he found himself with a woman who was willing to give him a chance. He had it hard enough growing up and he knew that he got lucky.
“Who knows how long this war may last.” He remarked, with a dry chuckle.
She shrugged and chuckled, “A possible four years? If your luck, you can sneak back and see me every single week.”
“Don’t tempt me, woman.”
Amelia smirked, “Besides, it’s a 6 day trip. You’ll be home soon after.”
Nikolai smirked pulling her closer, “I’ll be counting the days.”
“You’re lucky you got Rochelle as your goddess friend, and not Michelle.” Amelia joked.
“Don’t remind me, Michelle has to be the grumpiest woman in all of Mount Olympus.” Nikolai teased.
“How does Rochelle love her, we may never know..”
The two laughed.
~~~
MEANWHILE On Mount Olympus…
Rochelle and Michelle were sound asleep when Michelle snapped awake.
“Somebody is talking about me again!” Michelle said, sitting up straight and looked around with wide eyes.
Rochelle, who was asleep wearing a sleeping mask, grumbled, “For the 3rd time this week, no one is speaking your name!”
DADDY VADER | Star Wars AU 💫
Father daughter dynamic: Nikolai and Margot
Summary: FAST FORWARD TO YEARS LATER NIKOLAI IS IN HIS DARTH VADER/STILL IN HIS LOVING AND LIGHT SIDE ERA.
Note: Since the twins don’t have FCs yet I’m using baby Leia
It continues this post -> ✨
~~~~~
He hears about his daughter and is like, "I'M A DADDY?!" as the Sith Lord are like, "Uhhh..no, we said Nikolai is a father, your Darth Vader..?"
Nikolai grins, "THIS IS WONDERFUL I HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE!"
Sith Lord rolling his eyes, "..damn it, I should've picked another crazy Jedi to turn into Darth Vader instead of him."
FLASH-FORWARD TO HIM MEETING HIS 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, MARGOT AND HE'S LIKE GRINNING LIKE THE IDIOT HE USED TO BE.
Margot is holding up a lightsaber, "I'm a Jedi in training, like my daddy before me."
Nikolai nods and gasped, "I heard! I'm just so excited to meet you, woah you look just like me with you mothers eyes!”
Nikolai pause sensing Margot's thought and gasped, "..wait sister? I have ANOTHER daughter too?!..you have a twin sister?"
Margot looked at him oddly and blinked, "Uh, yeah...wait, I shouldn't have answer that.."
Nikolai looks at Sith Lord and glares, "WAIT! You said Amelia died DURING my raging moments...how she have the same amount of strength to deliver TWO kids, if she was dying? That doesn't add up!"
Sith Lord smiles nervously, "..uh, she lost the will to live?"
Nikolai grabs his lightsaber and points it in his direction, "AHHH! You lied to me, I'll have my revenge!"
Margot processing everything and looking around like, "..wait, your my real daddy?!"
———
Margot is just standing there, blinking, processing in real time that this crazy, rage-filled, dramatic man is, in fact, her father. 💀💀💀
YEAH MARGOT YOUR MAMA FELL IN LOVE WITH A CRAZY MAN, I'M SORRY BABY.
Five mins later, Nikolai return after killing the Sith Lord and is out of breath, "Soooo onto important matters, how are you, darling? By any chance, is your twin sister's name Darlene?"
Margot jaw dropped, "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?"
Nikolai CLEARLY remembers Amelia's pregnancy VERY WELL and how he was the one to pick out his future daughter's names.
He just smiles, "Cause I picked out your name and your sisters..wait, if you're alive and here, is your mom alive too? Oh yikes, I got some serious apologizing to do if she is.."
Margot nods as if it’s obvious and grins.
“Ah shit. I’m in trouble.” He added shortly after.
He paused and asked, “Wait. How are you here?”
Margot smiled and shrugs, “Auntie Liane and Uncle Ji-Hoon are babysitting us too.”
“THEY ARE HERE?!”
———
Sooo I know this is random but whatever
Plot Twist - Ji-Hoon and Liane have BOTH stormed the ship 😂 and out for revenge 👀

Marvel Meet MCU (~Mia’s version)
Summary: What if Mcu!Mia met 616!Mia
Note: For easier understanding and no confusion, 616!Mia will be referred to as Amelia cause technically that is her actual name and everyone knows Mia is a nickname!
Extra Notes: This is basically roasting also how Mia used to be in the OLD Rp eras, if you know you know 😉🤭 comment below 👇🏼
— —00– –
“Okay, what fruit theme place was I brought into now?” Mia exclaimed, looking around the room in frustration.
“I think I just encountered Skrull, get the cages ready if needed.” Said Amelia into her coms then pointing her blaster at the other woman. “Hands up where I can see them!”
Mia turned around and held up a hand in surprise, “Woah, woah! Hold up frosted tips, I'm not whatever that is.”
“Liar! You look and sound like me!” Amelia yelled with a glare. “Tell me something only I would know, not some green freak.”
“Okay first off, ouch. Secondly…um–uhh, we will never admit it to Liane but we enjoy some of Taylor Swift’s songs.”
“You are…not wrong. Wait, is this that alternative universe meet up, I heard about?”
“Alternative universe–nevermind. But yeah, sure, it is I guess…”
“I’m Amelia Morse. Earth 616.”
“Uh, Mia Morse-Parker, uh I don't know what exact Earth number am I from? Possibly Earth 1-99999. Sorry I had a weird day.”
“No problem, I get it. Weird days happen to me too! Yesterday Avengers Tower was attacked and Liane freaked out while Rochelle was taken. Oh! Luna went insane as well, using purple magic.”
“No way! Doc Ock attacked yesterday too, but Ji-Hoon blasted him and Ricky went straight to disarming his extra arms. Nano-tech, weird but cool.”
“Very cool! I use it to design a few suits.”
Amelia nods, dropping her weapon and putting it into her pocket for safety reasons. She scanned Mia up and down, already getting a sense of who she is and possibly where their timelines/universes split up.
“Age.” Amelia said with a smirk. “You look a bit younger than me, no offense.”
“I’m 24? How old are you exactly?” Mia asked curiously, relieved she lowered her gun.
“28, so you're only 4 years younger than me, nice.”
“Huh? 28 years old..I age gracefully, unless that’s all surgical?”
“Nope! All natural, the Parker genes are a gift…and so are my father’s genes.”
Mia blinked in confusion, “Father? Ben Parker or Phil Coulson…?”
“Aunt Bobbi’s big brother.” Amelia clarified as if it was obvious. “Shitty father, no wonder Bobbi never liked to mention it, but at least I got some closure.”
“I…okay.”
“You never met him?”
Mia shook her head innocently as Amelia cocked a half smile nodding.
“Oh, you sweet, sweet, child.” Amelia replied, shaking her head with a sigh. “You lucked out and dodged a bullet. I assumed you got your powers on Nepal alright, even if you didn’t meet him there? You know ‘The Afterlife’?”
“I’ve been to Nepal, which is where I met Jeremy and–wait did you say powers?!” Mia asked, taking in the information.
“God, you’re slow, aren’t you? And yes! I said "powers”! What are you? Human?”
“Apparently!?”
Mia explained that she never went to the cave, below the lighthouse, where Daisy got her abilities and never got blasted, she was above the surface level with the rest of the team. Amelia blinked and scoffed, realizing how risky she must’ve been meanwhile her counterpart was more or less on the safer end.
Possibly, less traumatized too?
Amelia looked at her up and down trying to comprehend what she was hearing, now she’s betting that neither Earths were totally different when it came to certain things.
“Okay, so it appears like we have some differences. Take it back, how about your time within SHIELD, i’m guessing you and Grant Ward had a connection?” Amelia said with a smirk.
Mia huffed and smiled annoyed, “Yeah, some connection…we were good until it was revealed that he was HYDRA all along, working for John Garrett. Well, technically he was loyal to Garrett, not HYDRA and–”
“Wait what? Stop! No, no, no that’s wrong! Ward was always SHIELD, since day one, no undercover code or shit.”
Mia raised an eyebrow and scoffed, “You clearly didn’t have your coffee this morning…Ward is HYDRA, girlie. Wake up.”
Amelia pinched the bridge of her nose, “I know that, dumbass! But in my universe, he became HYDRA later!”
“Come again?”
“Grant was and will always be loyal to SHIELD since day one. It’s where he felt home, but after having to go undercover at HYDRA for a few months to gather intel, something went wrong and he turned on us. It was all Garrett’s fault.”
Mia blinked in shock and took a shaky breath, trying to understand what she was hearing. She wasn’t going to lie, she didn’t know weather to feel envious or sad for her counterpart.
“Okay, so he was SHIELD all along but betrayed you guys due to being manipulated by HYDRA?” Mia exclaimed, raising an eyebrow once more. “What? No, him wanting you to join him or whatever? Or him apologizing for his actions and trying to get you to understand him?”
“Oh yeah! He’s done that a few times, and still did that..” Amelia smirked and giggled looking off into the distance as if remembering something. “It was a joy to see him in that cell and plead for my forgiveness.”
“And you forgave him?”
“Sometimes. My man is very convincing.”
Mia nodded then paused, it was like a record scratch was heard in that very moment.
“YOU’RE WHAT?!” Mia exclaimed, putting her hands on her hips. “Did you just say ‘your man’? Are you and Ward…a thing?”
Amelia just shrugged, “It’s complicated. We never really dated or anything, but you know, chemistry. Friends to enemies kinda dynamic, with a hint of underlying tension kinda thing.”
“So you're not together?”
“We were! Way back when, a few dates but afterwards? Nahhh!”
Mia sighed in relief, as if a huge weight had taken off her shoulders, but still questioning her counterpart's motives. But before we can smile and turn to the next topic on her mind, her counterpart sorta beat her to it…in a rather calm and odd approach.
“But I did date Michelle’s brother though?”Amelia said ever so casually, holding up a finger and grinned.
“I’m sorry you dated who?” Mia asked in disbelief as to what she just heard. “Did you just say Michelle’s brother? Rochelle’s girlfriend Michelle’s big brother?”
“Yeap! That’s the one!”
“HOW?! WHEN?!”
“Uh, hello? Isn’t it obvious? He’s handsome and flirty, and I'm pretty and flirty, plus we both had similar interests right off the bat. Why not date?”
“I..okay. You dated a dude with ultra powers, and who’s mother is literally Carol FREAKING Danvers…?! So you just flirted with your friend’s brother?”
“Technically, he found me and there was a connection sooo…wait you never hooked up with Michelle’s brother Micheal?”
“NOO! I don’t even think I met the guy! And you-yo-you are a wild little flirt!?”
Amelia smirked and snickered, holding back her laughter at her counterpart's reaction. The poor girl was in pure shock and maybe a hint of disbelief, even disgust. Or even some jealousy? Amelia couldn’t tell. It was clear that this version of her was more tamed when it came to the romance department than she was.
But then again, Amelia has had wildlife and lived longer, even been to the underworld once and so much more. She has been with Grant Ward, Micheal Danver, Quieten Beck, Nikolai Morozov and possibly had a few other romances, depending on the comic book she was in.
“Okay, okay, calm down, sweetheart.” Amelia said, chuckling, holding up a hand.
Mia scoffed, “Slut.”
“Ouch. But at least hoe sounds a bit nicer.”
“Whatever.”
“Now i’m curious, who did you fall in love with?” Amelia asked curiously.
Mia softened her expression and nods, “Nikolai.”
“That royal flirt?!”
“Nikolai isn’t royalty…”
“Uh, sweetheart, he is. His family comes from a royal bloodness, has he not told you about his past?!”
“I know enough. He said his parents were murdered, his older brother is horrible as he trained him to be a skilled fighter and treated him badly..and he escaped his home then ended up in New York, a few years later he met me.”
“Girl, you seriously realize you are literally considered a princess in some universes cause you marry him right?”
“I’m what now?”
Amelia pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed deeply. She shook her head and let out a little chuckle, knowingly. She knows that Nikolai wasn’t ever one to let the world know about his trauma or accidentally let it slip about himself. He kept that tight lipped and only let a few things slip, depending on the conversation.
Mia, of course, knew what she needed to know and didn’t push her man into that level of talking about his past. She knew what she needed to know! She respected it and wasn’t going to poke the bear. Last time she tried to get him to talk about it, he threw a pillow at her face with a smirk.
“So kids?” Amelia asked with a smile, hoping to change the subject into something lighter. “Got any?”
Mia mumbled, “...with all the men you’ve been with, you probably got a few.”
“Hey!”
“Just saying!”

OH. MY. GOODNESS.
Dr. Vex is a menace to society as people within SHIELD would say, but we will always and forever need it. I’m not afraid of admitting it…however i am scared of him sometimes.
At the end of the day? He is the most brilliant mind i ever read. Even if Fury dismissed him.
Dr. Caius Vex

Full Name: Dr. Caius Vex
Alias: Vex
Affiliation: Independent (reluctant consultant for S.H.I.E.L.D., occasional asset to the avengers, unofficial contact for the illuminati)
Specialty: Experimental biology, cybernetics, and quantum mechanics.
Age: early 40s
Height: 6’2”
Date of Birth: February 29
Zodiac Sign: Pisces (logical but deeply aware of emotions, just unwilling to be ruled by them, sees the big picture but doesn’t care for the small details of human sentimentality, often labeled “cold” or “detached,” but it’s really just hyper-focus on efficiency.)
Place of Birth: Unknown. Not because it's classified, but because no one really knows. Some records claim he was born in a research lab. Others list a remote, isolated town that no longer exists.
The man they all hate. The man they all need.
Nobody likes Caius Vex. That’s just a fact. He’s the kind of person who makes people uneasy the moment he enters a room. Not because he’s loud or aggressive—quite the opposite. It’s the way he watches, analyzes, calculates. He talks like he already knows how the conversation will end, like everyone else is playing checkers while he’s five moves ahead in chess.
But when disaster strikes, when the smartest minds in the world hit a dead end, someone always mutters his name like it’s a curse. And no matter how much they despise him, they always come back.
Family:
Dr. Victor Vex (Father, Deceased?) – A brilliant but ruthless geneticist who believed in scientific progress at any cost. Saw Caius not as a son, but as a project. Rumors suggest he perished in an experiment gone wrong but Caius has his doubts.
Dr. Evelyn Vex (Mother, Unknown Status) – A neuroscientist obsessed with enhancing human cognition. More calculating than affectionate, she saw Caius as the pinnacle of their research. Her current whereabouts are unknown, though some believe she vanished into deep-cover research after Project Chimera’s collapse.
No Siblings (Confirmed) – Caius was their only experiment that mattered. If there were others, they didn’t survive or weren’t worth mentioning.
Extended Family: Irrelevant. Caius never cared to find out if he had aunts, uncles, or cousins. Blood relations mean nothing to him.
---
Quotes:
•"You want me to be ‘nicer’? Sure. I’ll start pretending incompetence is endearing just as soon as you stop proving me right."
•"Yes, let’s ignore logic and go with your ‘gut feeling.’ That’s definitely never gone horribly wrong before."
•"Please, tell me more about how your ‘intuition’ contradicts my decades of research. I could use the laugh."
•"You don’t have to like me. You don’t even have to trust me. You just have to do exactly what I say if you want to survive."
•"I don’t make threats. I make calculations. And right now, I’m calculating how long you have left if you don’t listen to me."
•"You can be afraid of me, or you can be afraid of what happens without me. Your choice."
•"I am not your friend. I am not your enemy. I am the inevitable consequence of your own ignorance."
•"Morality is a luxury for people who don’t have to make real decisions."
•"People don’t want solutions. They want comfort. And I have no interest in comforting lies."
•"Oh, look at that—I was right. Again. It’s almost as if I know what I’m talking about."
•"I’ll accept your gratitude in the form of silence. That would be a refreshing change."
•"What’s that? You need my help again? I’m shocked. Truly. I never could have predicted this. Except that I did. Repeatedly."
•"If madness is the ability to solve problems no one else can, then by all means, call me insane. It changes nothing."
---
Personality

Caius isn’t just intelligent; he’s terrifyingly intelligent. He absorbs information like a machine, constantly analyzing, calculating, and predicting. Conversations with him feel like playing a game where he already knows the outcome. It’s not arrogance if it’s true—at least, that’s how he sees it. He has no patience for ignorance or incompetence. If someone asks a stupid question, he won’t sugarcoat it—he’ll tell them, flat-out, that they’re wasting his time. This makes him nearly impossible to work with, but it also makes him impossible to ignore.
Caius doesn’t do things because they’re right or wrong—he does them because they work. Ethics are just another set of rules, and rules exist to be rewritten. If something needs to be done, and the "heroes" are too squeamish to handle it, that’s their problem. That’s not to say he’s evil. He’s not out to hurt people for fun. But if saving a million lives means sacrificing ten? He won’t hesitate. And if someone asks him if he feels bad about it? He’ll look at them like they just asked if gravity feels bad about pulling things down.
He feels emotions, but they don’t dictate his actions. He experiences frustration when people can’t keep up, amusement when they try to challenge him, and even satisfaction when his work is acknowledged (not that he’d ever admit it). But empathy? Compassion? Those don’t come naturally to him. That being said, he’s not a robot. He has small, rare moments where something almost resembling sentiment breaks through. A slight softening of his expression. A pause before delivering a cutting remark. A cryptic statement that makes people wonder if there’s more to him than just cold logic.
There’s something undeniably compelling about Caius. He speaks with absolute certainty, his words precise and deliberate. Even people who despise him find themselves drawn in by the sheer weight of his intellect. But his presence is also unsettling. He never seems fully relaxed, as if his mind is running through a thousand calculations at once. His eye contact is intense, like he’s dissecting people as they speak. Being around him feels like standing next to a supercomputer that occasionally decides to be sarcastic.
Caius doesn’t want to be a hero. He doesn’t care about saving the day. What he does care about is proving, over and over again, that the world needs him. Every time the people who rejected him come crawling back, it only reinforces what he’s always known:
He’s the only one who can do what he does. And that, more than anything, is what keeps him going.
----
Backstory:

Caius never had a childhood, at least not one that most people would recognize. His parents weren’t just scientists; they were visionaries, obsessed with pushing human intelligence beyond its natural limits. And he was their proof of concept.
While other kids played with action figures, Caius was breaking apart and reassembling machines before he even knew how to ride a bike. He read medical textbooks at five, debated quantum physics at eight, and was solving equations that baffled PhDs before puberty. Emotion was irrelevant. Love was a biochemical reaction. He understood human attachment on a theoretical level, but he never felt it.
And he didn’t care. Because feelings wouldn’t change the world. But science? Science could reshape everything.
----
"You’re moving too slow, Caius."
His mother’s voice was clipped, each word a sharp cut, precise and unforgiving. Caius didn’t flinch. His hands kept moving, small fingers adjusting the microchip’s delicate wiring. The cold metal of the workstation pressed against his forearms, the only sensation that grounded him.
"The alignment of the conductive pathways requires a careful hand," he said, voice even. "Rushing would compromise efficiency."
His mother exhaled sharply through her nose. "Excuses are for lesser minds."
His father—silent until now—finally looked up from his notes. Caius could feel the weight of his gaze, heavy and expectant.
"You want to be exceptional, don’t you, Caius?" The question sat between them, a test wrapped in feigned curiosity. Caius paused. He wasn’t foolish enough to misunderstand. There was only one right answer. He turned his head slightly, meeting his father’s stare with a calmness he did not feel.
"I already am," he said.
For a moment, there was nothing. Then his father’s mouth curled into something that wasn’t quite a smile, "Good," he said. "Then prove it. You have until morning to refine the design. No food. No distractions."
His mother was already walking away. His father turned back to his notes. Caius sat alone in the glow of the overhead lights, stomach twisting—not from hunger, but from the understanding that this was a lesson. Hunger was irrelevant. Sleep was an obstacle. Perfection was all that mattered.
Age 12
The murmurs started the moment he stepped inside.
"That’s him, right? The freak?"
"Twelve years old and already correcting professors—what kind of kid even does that?"
"I heard he doesn’t even talk like a person. Just... facts, like a machine."
Caius heard every word. He just didn’t care.
The lecture hall was too warm, the air thick with the scent of old books and the sweat of nervous students. At the front of the room, he lifted the chalk, the rough texture grinding against his fingers as he wrote out the equation. The answer was obvious—so painfully simple he had to resist the urge to sigh. Behind him, the professor cleared his throat.
"Mr. Vex," the man said carefully, "your proposal contradicts standard theoretical models on neural mapping. Are you suggesting the entirety of existing cognitive science is incorrect?"
Caius turned. His classmates were watching, some amused, some expectant, "Not incorrect," he said. "Just outdated."
Silence. He tilted his head.
"Science evolves," he continued. "If you refuse to evolve with it, you become irrelevant."
The professor’s expression flickered—anger, embarrassment, something else Caius didn’t bother naming. No one spoke after that. Caius picked up the chalk again, "Next question."
Age 16
The alarms screamed. Red light painted the lab in violent flashes. Smoke curled into the air, thick and acrid, burning his throat. Caius stood over the test subject. The rat—no, not a rat anymore—twitched violently, its eyes flickering with something unnatural. Then, suddenly, it stopped. A sharp inhale behind him.
"What did you do?" his mother demanded. Caius didn’t turn. He kept staring at the motionless form in front of him.
"It wasn’t supposed to reject the process," he muttered. His jaw clenched. "I accounted for every variable." His father stepped forward, his presence a cold weight against Caius's back.
"Clearly, you didn’t."
A dead thing on the table. A failure in his hands. The numbers had been perfect. The data had been flawless. His mother sighed, rubbing her temple. "You’re still learning, Caius. Failure is part of the process."
His hands curled into fists, "No." His voice was quiet, but the word carried a sharp edge. "Failure is a sign of weakness. And I am not weak."
His father placed a firm hand on his shoulder
"Then prove it."
Caius exhaled, slow and measured. Fine. He would fix it. He would try again. And next time—Next time, it would be perfect.
Age 18
The boardroom smelled of stale coffee and cold calculation. Across from him, men in suits shifted uncomfortably.
"You’re saying you developed a cognitive enhancement serum that could push human intelligence beyond normal limits?" one of them asked.
Caius steepled his fingers, unbothered by the weight of their scrutiny, "Yes."
A government official frowned. "That kind of power is dangerous."
Caius tilted his head, studying the man like a specimen under glass, "Only if given to the wrong people."
Silence stretched between them, thick with unspoken tension. Someone cleared their throat. A SHIELD representative leaned forward, "And who," the agent asked, "do you consider the ‘right’ people?"
Caius smiled. It was small. Cold. Calculated.
"Me."
----

By the time he was twenty, Caius had burned through multiple high-profile research positions—not because he wasn’t brilliant, but because he terrified his colleagues. He didn’t believe in limitations. Ethical concerns were just obstacles placed by lesser minds.
Then came Project Chimera—his defining achievement and his downfall. The idea was revolutionary: human biology enhanced with alien adaptability, a living organism capable of evolving on command, immune to disease, injury, even death itself. It wasn’t just science. It was the next step in human evolution.
And it worked. Too well.
The subjects adapted faster than expected. They changed, becoming something beyond human comprehension. The project was shut down before it spiraled completely out of control, but the damage was done. Three research sites were obliterated. S.H.I.E.L.D. classified the incident as an “anomalous biological disaster.” And Caius? He was erased.
Not arrested. Not imprisoned. Just… removed. His name was scrubbed from government records. His funding was cut. Overnight, he went from a scientific prodigy to a ghost.
-----
"You can’t be serious," Dr. Langley said, voice tight with barely concealed horror. "You want to rewrite human biology? Splice it with alien DNA and just—see what happens?"
Caius didn’t look up from his work. His fingers flew across the holographic interface, data streams reflecting in his glasses.
"Not 'see what happens,’" he corrected. "Predict. Control. Evolve."
Langley took a step closer, lowering his voice like the walls might be listening. "This is playing god."
Caius finally turned to him, expression unreadable, "God is an outdated construct," he said. "Evolution doesn’t ask for permission. It simply happens. I’m just expediting the process."
Langley exhaled sharply. "You’re out of your mind."
"No," Caius said smoothly. "I’m just ahead of yours."
The alarms shrieked. Glass shattered. Metal groaned as something enormous tore through reinforced steel like paper. Caius stood frozen, breath shallow, as Subject-09—no, not Subject-09 anymore—turned its head toward him. Its form twisted, constantly shifting, adapting, mutating with every passing second. Eyes that had once been human flickered with something else, something more. For the first time in his life, Caius felt it—a whisper of something like fear.
"Dr. Vex!" someone screamed. "We have to shut it down!"
He forced himself to move, fingers flying over the console. He had accounted for every variable. Every calculation had been perfect. So why— A wet, gurgling sound. He looked up just in time to see Langley convulsing, his skin darkening, hardening into something unfamiliar as the thing that had once been a man reached out and— Caius turned away. He hit the emergency lockdown. He didn’t watch as the doors slammed shut, sealing away the thing that had once been his greatest success. His greatest failure.
The briefing room was suffocatingly quiet. The kind of quiet that wasn’t absence of sound, but the weight of something unspeakable. Caius sat with his hands clasped in front of him, waiting. Across from him, Director Fury’s expression was unreadable.
"Three research sites gone," Fury said at last, his voice calm in a way that only made it worse. "Casualties in the triple digits. Classified as an ‘anomalous biological disaster.’"
He slid a file across the table. Caius didn’t look at it, "Your project was a disaster, Vex."
Caius finally met his eyes. "My project was a success." Fury exhaled through his nose, slow. Controlled.
"You’re done," he said. "Your name is off every record. Your funding? Gone. Effective immediately, you don’t exist."
Caius didn’t react. He didn’t ask for forgiveness. He didn’t beg. He simply stood, straightened his coat, and turned to leave.
"You’ll be back," he said over his shoulder. "You’ll need me eventually."
Fury didn’t respond. But he didn’t deny it, either.
-----
And yet, Caius didn’t go into hiding. He didn’t run. He didn’t need to. Because as much as the world wanted to pretend he didn’t exist, they needed him. When an alien parasite threatened to wipe out an entire continent, they called him. When an interdimensional virus started rewriting human DNA, they called him. Every time something monstrous and incomprehensible reared its head, they came knocking. And Caius? He always picks up the phone.
Not because he cares. Not because he wants redemption. But because every time they come to him—every time the geniuses and heroes and so-called great minds of the world admit they have no answers—it proves something. He was right all along.
----
The ringing echoed through the darkened apartment. Caius didn’t move for a moment, letting the sound fill the silence, stretch across the room. It was always this way after an incident—his phone would ring, and for a moment, he would wonder if they had finally forgotten. If they had finally learned that he wasn’t the answer.
The phone rang again. And then, as if the weight of it had finally settled into his bones, he picked it up.
"Caius." The voice on the other end was curt. Familiar.
"Director Fury." Caius’ voice was calm, detached. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"We need you." Fury’s voice was all business—no warmth, no pretense. "We have a problem. A parasite is spreading across the East Coast. The situation’s escalating fast, and we’re out of options."
Caius could feel the gravity in the words, the undertone of desperation that wasn’t meant to be there, "I’m sure you’ve already got a team of ‘experts’ looking into it," Caius said, leaning back in his chair, his fingers tracing the rim of a glass. "What’s your problem, Director? Running out of lab rats to test your theories?"
There was a moment of silence. Then, a cold sigh, "It’s beyond us, Vex." Fury’s voice dropped an octave. "And beyond anyone else. You’re the only one who might understand what’s happening."
Caius smiled, the kind of smile that never reached his eyes. He could hear the panic underneath the director’s words, feel the weight of their collective inadequacy pressing on the line, "Well, well." Caius leaned forward, amused. "I do seem to have a knack for that."
The lab was quiet, sterile. Caius stood in front of a glowing screen, observing the data, running numbers in his head as he analyzed the parasite’s genetic makeup. There was a hum of activity around him, but none of the lab techs dared to interrupt. They had learned, in the years before, that to approach Caius was to risk making a fool of themselves. He had already deciphered the parasite’s mutation patterns. Already pinpointed the exact trigger for its spread. Already formulated a possible solution.
"What’s the matter?" One of the assistants muttered, looking over his shoulder. "Aren’t you concerned? This could wipe out—"
"Don’t speak," Caius interrupted, his voice icy but calm. "You’re not adding anything to the conversation."
The assistant winced and stepped back. Caius didn’t even acknowledge them. He was too busy. His mind was already somewhere else, swirling with equations, calculating probabilities, mapping out the biological code that was as easy to read as a book to him. He wasn’t concerned. He had never been concerned.
A dozen S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stood in the briefing room, their eyes on him, their discomfort palpable. It wasn’t just that he was here. It wasn’t just his reputation. It was the fact that Caius Vex—the Caius Vex—was still somehow… above them.
He stood at the front of the room, his gaze piercing as it swept over them. His expression was detached, as though he were observing a specimen in a lab rather than an assembled team of elite professionals, "You want me to fix this," he said, his voice cool and measured. "And I will. But let’s make one thing clear: you can’t control me. You can’t even pretend to."
The agents shifted uneasily, but no one dared speak up. Caius turned back to the whiteboard, where diagrams of the parasite’s DNA sequence hung in the air like ghosts. "You want me to save you," he continued, voice like a blade. "But remember this: You needed me long before you admitted it."
The parasite was gone. The continent was safe.
Caius walked through the corridors of the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility with a quiet satisfaction, ignoring the silent looks, the whispered conversations that died when he passed. He was a ghost in their world—an enigma, a tool, something too dangerous to understand but too valuable to ignore. When he reached the exit, Fury was there, waiting, arms crossed, a look of grim acknowledgment in his eyes.
"You did it," Fury said, his tone begrudging. "But I don’t need to remind you—you’re not one of us."
Caius stopped, his back still turned.
"And you never will be." Fury’s voice dropped to something lower, almost a growl.
Caius let the silence stretch. Then he spoke without looking at the director.
"I never wanted to be."
He walked away, the door closing softly behind him, the faintest of smiles curling on his lips. The world could pretend they had forgotten him. The world could pretend that he was the one who needed them.
But every time they came back—every time they called on him, desperate and out of options—he knew the truth. He had been right all along. And they were still too afraid to admit it.
----
Personal Quirks & Habits

•Meticulous & Organized, But Chaotic at the Same Time: Caius keeps his workspace just messy enough to look disorganized, but if someone moves a single item, he’ll know. He remembers exactly where everything is, down to the millimeter.
•Unnervingly Still: He barely fidgets. While others might pace or gesture when thinking, Caius just stares, as if processing every variable in his head at once. It makes people uncomfortable, like he’s a predator waiting to strike.
•Talks to Himself (Sort of): When deep in thought, he mutters half-finished equations or ideas under his breath. It’s not really for anyone else—it’s just how his mind processes data.
•Absolutely Hates Small Talk: He has no patience for social niceties. If someone tries to make casual conversation, he’ll either ignore them completely or respond in a way that shuts it down.
Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths:
✔ Unmatched Intelligence – He sees connections others miss, making him invaluable in crisis situations.
✔ Emotionally Unshakable – He doesn’t panic. Ever. Even when staring down the apocalypse.
✔ Master of Manipulation – He knows how to make people need him, even if they despise him.
✔ No Fear of Consequences – He does what must be done, no matter the cost.
Weaknesses:
✖ Completely Lacks Empathy – He understands people logically, but he doesn’t care about their emotions.
✖ Unwilling to Compromise – If someone suggests a less extreme plan, he’ll refuse just on principle.
✖ No Social Filter – If someone is being incompetent, he will tell them. Bluntly.
✖ Overconfidence – He’s almost always right. The problem? Almost. If he ever does miscalculate, he won’t see it coming.
-------
Additional information/Fun facts

•Caius Vex doesn’t believe in failure the way normal people do. If an experiment fails, it just means the data was incomplete. If an idea doesn’t work, the problem wasn’t the idea—it was reality being too flawed to support it. The only thing that truly counts as failure for him? Being wrong. He prides himself on being the smartest person in any given scenario, so if something actually proves him incorrect, it haunts him. He won’t admit it, but he’ll obsessively analyze what went wrong, replaying it over and over until he finds a way to “fix” it.
•Caius Vex has a very specific kind of humor—dry, cutting, and often borderline cruel. He doesn’t laugh often, but when he does, it’s usually because someone has made an absolutely ridiculous mistake, and he finds it hilarious.
– Sarcastic One-Liners: He has zero patience for dramatic monologues or emotional speeches. If someone starts talking about “hope” or “teamwork,” he will immediately undercut it.
– Deadpan Insults: If someone tries to intimidate him, he’ll respond as if they’re a mildly annoying insect.
– Dark Irony: He finds it deeply amusing when people realize they have to rely on him despite hating him.
•Caius doesn’t just want to be right—he wants to reshape the world in his own image. He looks at humanity and sees inefficiency, chaos, wasted potential. Every time they come begging for his help, it’s proof that they’re too weak to survive without someone like him guiding them. Deep down, he doesn’t just want recognition. He wants control. Not because he craves power for power’s sake, but because he genuinely believes that if he were in charge, everything would function better. But he also knows that the world will never willingly hand him that control. So, for now, he plays the game. He waits. Because sooner or later, they’ll realize he was always right.
•Caius Vex doesn’t fear death. He doesn’t fear pain. He doesn’t even fear losing. But there are things that unsettle him.
– The Idea That He Might Not Matter – The thought that the world could survive without him? That his intelligence might not be as crucial as he thinks? That’s a terrifying concept.
– Being Outmatched by Someone Smarter – If there’s one thing he values above all else, it’s his intellect. The idea that there could be someone better—someone who could do what he does, but even more efficiently—would gnaw at him.
– Losing Control of His Own Mind – He relies on logic and calculation. If he ever felt himself slipping—losing focus, making errors, experiencing true irrationality—it would shake him to his core.
•Caius knows how people see him. He’s the man they call when things get desperate. The "necessary evil." The wildcard genius they barely tolerate. But in the long run, what does he want people to remember him for? In his ideal world, he wouldn’t be remembered as a villain or a hero—he’d be remembered as the one who fixed everything. The man who saved humanity from itself, whether they appreciated it or not. But the real tragedy? Deep down, he knows that history won’t be kind to him. Even if he succeeds, the world will find a way to erase or vilify him. And yet… he does it anyway. Because in the end, Caius Vex isn’t trying to be liked. He’s trying to be right.

Bringing The Team Together [Agents Of SHIELD]
Pairing: Amelia M. Parker (OC) & Grant Ward
Other characters present/mentioned: Maria Hill, Jemma Simmons & Leo Fitz, Phil Coulson, Skye, Melissa Wallance (OC), Ji-Hoon (OCs), The Young Avengers (OCs) etc
Setting: Agent Of SHIELD season 1 Pilot
Summary: Just when Agent Amelia Parker thinks she’s off the hook, she gets sucked back in. In other words, her old boss Coulson has the idea of making a team
–
1 year, 5 weeks, 2 days and 104 minutes. That’s how long she was gone from SHIELD directly, more or less. Or it’s not like she is counting away, right? She was on a short-length mission with Ward as she stood outside the building watching his six in the helicopter as he got the job done inside. Usually though? She was stuck “babysitting” the Young Avengers, making friends with them as they called it and keeping an eye on the team.
Which usually meant hearing romance gossip, being chased down as someone broke into The Tower and or trying to chill as they all got along. It wasn’t that she didn’t like them, she did. But sometimes she felt misplaced, like the oddball in the midst of it all. It didn’t help that Hill and other agents were consistently making them look bad in front of the young heroes, who weren’t that fond of them to begin with.
And now? She was being held in a black ‘debriefing room’ as they called it, in front of Maria Hill who was dressed in her usual entire suit. She sat down in the semi-comfortable chair, with her elbows resting against the metal table wearing her usual black clothing.
“What does SHIELD stand for, Agent Parker?” Hill asked in her usual stern tone.
Amelia glanced up at her as she answered, “Uh, Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.”
“And what exactly does that mean to you?”
“Are you really asking me that? Cause we both know i’ll say one thing and you give me a remark about it.”
“Agent Parker.”
“Fine. Compassion, loyalty and heart—that’s what it means to me. Or at least, that’s what it should it be because–”
“Parker. Enough. In case you need a reminder, I'm your boss here.”
“Ehh, wrong. Technically Coulson was my boss, you just stepped in when he died…”
Amelia looked away as Hill just silently watched her. Her fingernails tapping a rhythm against the metal table, waiting for Amelia to continue her statement or not.
“And it also means we’re the people who fight.” Amelia expanded on her previous statement with a deep sigh, “SHIELD means we’re the divide between the world and the much...weirder world. Sadly, we often protect people from things they aren’t ready to hear.”
Hill nods with her eyes directly on the young agent before saying, “Correct. And I know you may not always like it—a lot of people, many not always like it, as it does cause issues. But we do it. And if something shows up, we try to get to it before someone bad does.”
Amelia just nods silently and hums, inhaling as her gaze shifted to the older women in front of her. She did wonder why Hill brought her in here, after she gave her an item she had in her pocket about the Rising Tide.
“Everything is changing, Agent Parker.” Hill said standing up, once she gave the item to a fellow agent to store safely and turned to face her, “A little while ago, people went to be thinking the craziest thing in the world was a billionaire flying around in a red and gold suit. And then aliens, along with a god, invaded New York, having to expose plenty of people…such as the mutant, gods from distant planets, a man from the 40s and other non-human heroes.”
“Mhmm.” Amelia hummed, “I know. I was there, I saw it all from the Helicarrier, Hill. Why are you telling me this? To bring back old memories? Or are you trying to stir the pot even more? If so, I'm not interested and you might as well send me back to The Tower…”
“I’m telling you this because at the moment, you’re being removed from The Young Avengers case.”
“What?”
Hill nodded, crossing her arms as she circled around the room and walked before stopping. She didn’t know what Coulson or the others had planned, hell, she didn’t exactly care. But she did know that Phil was removing one of her agents off the database and onto his area of the field instead. Meaning, she won’t have a clue what her youngest agent, Amelia, will be up to, only if she returns for certain things.
“Agent Wallance will be taking your place, effective immediately .” Hill started taking a spot in front of her, “You’re going to be removed from The Tower and working on a new area.”
“I’m sorry, what?” Amelia exclaimed, “You’re putting sweet ol’ Melissa in that place, having a more prominent role?”
“You sound so surprised. Don’t tell me, you're going to miss being surrounded by those heroes?”
“N—no. Not exactly..I mean, they grown on me…just, why?”
“For that you’ll have to ask Agent Coulson.”
“Pff, yeah, sure, his spirit is gonna appear or something?” Amelia remarked with a sarcastic joke and scoffed, “You know Coulson is gone, Hill. I vividly remember Agent Ji-Hoon pulling me away from the hallway, so i don’t see the mess that Loki made once he killed Phil..I’m clearance level 6, got the full report.”
Suddenly, a voice appeared out of the shadow as a body stepped out, with a soft smile.
“Welcome to level 7.” Said the voice, being none other than Phil Coulson, as he glanced between Amelia and Hill.
“I…” Amelia uttered, taking a sharp breath and gasped as she turned around to face him, “..how?!”
“Oh? I just walked in through the back. Sorry, that corner was really dark.”
“No, not that! How?!”
Amelia’s jaw was dropped, as she listened to how Nick Fury faked Coulson’s death to motivate the agents and they knew they couldn’t have said anything to her, or else things must’ve gone sideways. Especially with how the Young Avengers basically had someone on their team who could practically smell lies from a mile away. Meaning Rick and Rochelle. Plus, none of them were level 7, so they didn’t need to know.
She just nodded in shock, before Coulson gave her a soft smile with an open arm, pulling the young agent into a hug.
———
As they exchanged words and escorted out of the elevator, in which Ward joined in a few minutes before. According to Hill, they told him first thing in the morning and was waiting to tell Amelia about this. Coulson gave them both a recap on how he ended up with this particular position and Ward remarked how something must’ve pulled Phil back in the game, as they entered another room. A control room filled with coaches, computers and monitors on the wall that showcases The Rising Tide getting footage before SHIELD has, an unregistered gifted man with an identity unknown. In other words, a superhero.
Hill said that Coulson decided to create a mobile command unit, in which Ward and Amelia were assigned. Amelia asked if Melissa and Ji-Hoon would join, especially since Ji-Hoon has level 7 clearance. Hill said that she’ll have them join in as soon as possible. Coulson added that he wants to have the team together and working around the issue to get to this new unknown identity. Amelia nods.
“This man’s world is about to get very weird.” Coulson stated looking between the monitors and the two agents. “He’s gonna need some help.”
“That’s where I come in?” Amelia asked, pointing to herself, “Coulson, I may have experience but it doesn’t always translate well with others. They’re either extremely traumatized or very sensitive about being brought in, needing help.”
“I know that. But oftentimes it works out very well for us.”
“Okay. We’ll try.”
“I’m sorry. I was trained on day one as a specialist. I go in alone, I get it done. Defusing a bomb? I’m your guy.” Ward suddenly said with his arms crossed and then pointing to Amelia, “A welcoming committee? That’s her speed.”
“Excuse me?” Amelia remarked, crossing her arms as she looked at the taller agent, “I’m not the welcoming committee.”
“Didn’t you spend 5 months out of your year recruiting and welcoming The Young Avengers?”
“Someone had to do it.”
“You just made my point very clear. And I think Ji-Hoon would agree.”
“Not funny.”
Coulson, as always, brought them back to the main conversation as he referred his attention to Ward first. “I know it’s not what you want.” He said holding a binder as he started to open it, “Agent Hill did a very detailed assessment of your last 3 missions. Combat? Top grades. Espionage? She gave you the highest marks since Romanoff.”
“Damn.” Amelia muttered, “If Romanoff heard that..”
Ward nods in approval and appreciation towards Hill as the brunette woman nods in return.
Coulson continued with a soft smile, “Under people’s skills, she drew a little poop, with knives sticking out of it.”
“What? It’s…” Ward said, placing a hand on Amelia’s shoulder as he looked over to see the drawing.
“That's bad, isn't it? And given your family history, I'm surprised it’s not worse. But…I think you're the guy for this. If I'm wrong, you go straight back to your bombs.”
Suddenly, Streiten entered the room, “Team’s approved. Physicals are all fine. Fitz-Simmons is not cleared for combat. Along with Agent Wallace. I’m told that won’t be an issue. Agent Ji-Hoon is in perfect health. Agent Parker is cleared for combat. Agent Ward here… he’s almost too fit.”
Ward’s gaze perked up as he walked over pointing a finger and said, “That’s an issue. That should be an issue. Maybe I can’t join the team..”
“God, are you dismissed.” Hill muttered as she was looking over the files in the binder, “Parker, follow him. You need to get packing anyway.”
“I–but...” Amelia protests with a whine.
“Go.”
She groaned and followed Ward out the door, as they entered the elevator. She leaned against the wall within the elevator as she smiled, “You’re still joining, aren’t ya?”
“I have no choice.” Ward glanced over at her once the doors closed and smiled, “Besides, someone has to keep my girl in check.”
“Aw, you just want to spend time with me.”
“I never said that.”
“But you implied it.”
“Don’t be cheeky.”
“But you love it when I am.”
———
—————
Amelia arrived at The Tower to collect her things, as she went to pack her stuff into a duffle bag. She noticed Melissa Wallace, her friend, entering the room and questioning where exactly she was going. Amelia replied that she was being sent on a mission, she was given level 7 clearance today, as Melissa’s eyes widened in intrigued, and slight confusion. She knew she couldn’t say too much, so she gave Melissa what she needed to know as the brunette gasped.
“Wait, wait, wait–you got level 7 clearance for a mission with Coulson? But he’s dead.” Melissa exclaimed, pushing her glasses up, “Mia, we talked about this. Phil Coulson is dead and gone, you grieved and moved past it.”
“I’m not lying, Mel.” Amelia said with her eyes shifted back to her duffle bag.
“We all saw it happen! Hill is probably messing with you and–”
“You’re cleared for this assignment too, you know?”
“I–what?! But I'm not..huh? I’m still confused how you ended up on level 7.”
Just then, a tall asian man, none other than Ji-Hoon, appeared closing the door behind him. He was hiding from Liane and trying to get some moment of peace.
“Who’s got level 7 clearance?” He asked, as the shorter brunette looked away.
Melissa answered him with a finger, “Mia did.”
“Seriously? Right on, Mia! I’m not the only level 7 agent here anymore.”
“Am I seriously the only one who isn’t cleared for this?!”
“No. Marlene is level 5 and Nikolai is level 6.”
“I–rude! Back to the main point, Mia is now welcomed to level 7 and is leaving us for some mission with her ghost mentor.”
“For the last time, he’s somehow not dead!” Amelia yelled in annoyance and looked up from folding up a sweater.
“Yes he–” Melissa exclaimed but was cut off by their friend.
Ji-Hoon crossed his arms and hummed, “She’s not wrong, he’s not dead. I got the full report this morning.”
“Wait what?!” Melissa asked with widened eyes and blinked. “So you know about this whole thing?”
“Sorta.” Ji-Hoon replied with a shrug, “I only got to reading page two, before Liane burned a painting this morning.”
“So we’re on this assignment?”
“Yeap. According to the file, Mia is going first and once my shift is over this week, i’ll be joining them.”
“..and me?”
“You’re not cleared from combat but you are going.”
Melissa muttered, “I—Go figure.”
“Just wait until Hill bring you into a black debriefing room.” Amelia said smiling and put a hand on her shoulder, “You’ll see.”
Ji-Hoon heard Liane’s voice calling out to him and groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. He really did hope he will be called in sooner, than later.
“Elsa, where are you?!” Liane shouted down the hall, teasing him with the nickname, “Did you get moody and hide in your ice castle again?”
“One more Frozen reference out of you and I'll freeze all your Speak Now merch alive! You hear me?!” Ji-Hoon shouted as his hands curled into first before sighing, “I swear with her…”
Melissa winced and rubbed the back of her neck before asking, “Uh okay…anyways, so, who else is a part of this team that Coulson is building?”
“Uh, you, me, Ji-Hoon, Ward..” Amelia answered listing off the names she remembered from the file, “Fitz-Simmons, Melinda May is just the pilot–”
“May is just the pilot? Okay, that’s a lie.”
“Ask Coulson, not me.”
“I’ll see it when I believe it.”
With that Amelia gave her friends a smile and hugs before grabbing her duffle bag, and rushing out the door. Liane saw where she was heading and muttered, “What is she going?”
“Don’t worry about it!” Ji-Hoon shouted at the blonde.

That’s all folks! Let me know what you think? 💭
FUN FACT -> The SHIELD Academy has 3 Divisions — Operations, Sci-Tech and Communications. Sci-Tech are considered by many as the popular kids of The Academies, having underground parties in which students from different divisions come together and have fun 😉 however Ops & Sci-Tech students didn’t always like to interact very much 🤷🏻♀️ but Communication students collab with others plenty of times!!

The Sweetness Before The Storm ⛈️ | Star Wars AU
Ship: Nikolai x Amelia
Characters mentioned: Liane and Ji-Hoon
Summary: I was just watching Padmé and Anakin fan vids then got inspired to create two scenes 🙈
Note: I didn’t proofread this post I was just having fun hehehe
~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~
Amelia walks into their living room area with a hand on her belly as she sighs, "Are you okay?"
Nikolai raise an eyebrow as he sits on the couch, "Do I look okay? Sorry, I didn't mean for it to come off as rude...the council is pulling me and Ji-Hoon left and right..but I'll be okay. I just..I don't need to stress you enough as you already are."
She shook her head as walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder as she said, "Don't do this. Don't shut me out, let me help you. What can I do?"
He smiled and kissed her hand, "Just hold on me, as we did on Naboo..?"
She smiled finishing his sentence, "When there was nothing but our love.."
Nikolai smirks, "You look rather stunning today." In a darling response, Amelia blushed.
Amelia’s smile was radiant as she took his flesh hand and pressed it against her belly, “He keeps kicking.”
“He?” Nikolai asked as his smirk grew, “I thought it was ordered for the medical droids to not spoil our surprise.”
She smiled softly, “Oh, I didn’t get this from the droids. It’s my…motherly intuitions?”
He chuckled when he felt a sudden kick against his palm before saying, “Mother intuition, huh? With a kick that hard? Definitely a girl.”
——
Amelia placed a hand on his cheek as she told him, "No, don't do this. This isn't you...all I want is your love and for you to come home."
But Nikolai is so far gone as he cups her face, "Love won't save you, darling."
Suddenly she stepped back slightly and began to furrow her eyebrows, "Excuse me?"
He added with a smile, "Only my new powers can do that. I won't lose you the way I lost my mother. I am becoming more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of, and I'm doing it for you... to protect you."
Amelia shakes her head, "No, no. Baby, listen to yourself. Leave everything else behind while we still can!"
Nikolai smiles and shakes his head, "Don't you see? We don't have to run away anymore. I have brought peace to the Republic. I am more powerful than the Chancellor; I... I can overthrow him. And together, you and I can rule the galaxy... make things the way we want them to be!"
Amelia gasped and place a hand on her bump before saying, "I can't believe I'm hearing this! You're not yourself..you've changed, Ji-Hoon and Liane were right."
Nikolai sends her a glare, "Enough about our friends! This is about us!"
Amelia steps in front of him and waves a hand in front of him in a glare, "I don't know you anymore! Nikolai... you're breaking my heart! You're going down a path I can't follow!"
Nikolai pushes her finger away and grabs her hand as he says, "But you can! You always dreamed of powers, you said it yourself plenty of times before!..we can do this together, imagine our child, living the life we always dreamed of..you and me, together, for all the stars above to see!"
Amelia sucks in a breath as her eyes water before saying, "Baby, you don't know how much I want to say yes.."
Nikolai furrow his eyebrow and step forward, "And what's stopping you? Is it Ji-Hoon and Liane?"
Amelia shakes her head, "I don't want to rule in darkness..come back please.”
For a brief moment he snaps out of it.
Nikolai can see the heartbreak in her eyes and sighed cupping her cheek, "Let me do this one task and I'll come back to you, darling.."
Amelia's sniffles and whispered, "But I'm losing you…”"
Nikolai shakes her head, wiping away her tears before saying, "I can do this.."
Suddenly Nikolai looks past Amelia to see Ji-Hoon standing in the ship as he glares, "What are you doing here? You idiot! You brought her here?!"
Amelia looks over her shoulder and gasps, "No! No! I didn't..he must've snuck aboard the ship."
Nikolai protectively steps in front of Amelia, a hand hovering over her frame and blocking Ji-Hoon from getting anywhere near her.
He pointed a finger and glared, "Whatever you think you're doing, don't try it!"
Ji-Hoon steps out of the ship, "I haven't even started. Now, if you're smart enough, you'll let her ago and we can settle this…you’re just lucky I didn’t bring the others.”
Nikolai looked down at his wife and whispered, "You brought him here, didn't you?"
Amelia shook her head rapidly and placed a hand on his shoulder, "No, no! I didn't."
Nikolai narrow his eyes, "I want to believe you.."
Ji-Hoon rolls his eyes, "Let her go, Nikolai! She has nothing to do with this."

—
It was a chilly afternoon in New York City, the first snow of the new year drifting down lazily, blanketing the streets in soft. The familiar hum of the city carried through the windows — the distant whoosh of cars, the occasional honk of horns, the chatter of people bundled up in scarves and coats as they hurried along.
Inside The Tower, the world felt different, quieter. The cold seemed to stay outside, held at bay by the warmth of family.
Ethan’s humming filled the kitchen, his voice soft but steady as he scrubbed the counters, a tune that was half-remembered, half-made up on the spot. Every now and then, a clink of a dish or the swoosh of the broom added to the mix.
In the living room, Liane was sewing a dress — a delicate, navy fabric — her needle moving in precise motions as she hummed along to a Taylor Swift album, headphones on, the sound of “All Too Well” slipping through the cracks.
Upstairs, Nikolai had decided to take a nap after a long day of work. His boots had been kicked off by the bed, and the faint rise and fall of his breath through the bedroom walls signaled the rare peace that had settled over the household.
And then there was Bella.
At 6 years old, Bella had the uncanny ability to quiet a room without even trying, her presence subtle but undeniably noticeable. Right now, she was sitting at the piano in the corner of the living room, her small fingers pressing down on the keys in a slow, yet kind rhythm, creating a song that only made sense to her. Her gaze was focused intently on the keys as she played, the melody drifting through the air in delicate waves, soft as snowflakes.
But as the minutes passed, her hands slowed and soon the song turned out into silence. Bella sighed and pushed herself away from the piano bench. Her mother, oblivious with her headphones on, was lost in her own world, humming along with Taylor. Bella glanced toward the kitchen where her father, Ethan, was still humming to himself, but he was too caught up in his own rhythm to notice her wandering.
She yawned. She was bored.
It was normal. At 6 years old, sometimes a girl just needed a change of scenery.
Bella’s eyes flickered toward the staircase that led up to the second floor and, after a moment’s thought, she padded quietly toward it. Her sneakers made little sound on the grey floor as she reached the top of the stairs, her uncle Nikolai’s snoring was evident.
However she paused, looking up toward the nursery at the end of the hall. She hadn’t been in there much, not since Auntie Mia started turning it into the baby’s room. But today, the door was open, and the soft scent of fresh laundry drifted out.
Curiosity tugged her forward.
She hesitated for a moment, then pushed the door open. Inside, Mia was sitting on the floor, a pile of tiny clothes spread out in front of her, carefully folding them as if the task required all her attention. The room was cozy and warm, despite the chill outside, and the faint sound of the snow falling added a peaceful background to the moment.
Mia looked up and smiled warmly as Bella stepped inside, her eyes twinkling with recognition. “Hey, sweetheart. What are you up to?”
Bella, standing just inside the door, didn’t answer right away. She glanced around the room, eyes drifting from the stack of clothes to the crib in the corner, then to the shelves lined with baby toys and blankets. The room felt like a soft promise of something new, and Bella could almost hear the quiet hum of change in the air.
“I’m folding clothes,” Mia said, noticing Bella’s quiet observation. “I thought I’d get it over with before I put it off again. You know how that goes.”
Bella nodded slowly, her eyes still scanning the room. “For the baby?”
“Yep,” Mia said with a smile, brushing her hair out of her face. “For Joshua. Your baby cousin.”
Bella’s gaze turned back to her aunt, her expression unreadable as she took in the sight of the tiny clothes in Mia’s hands. She crossed the room slowly, like a little ghost in the quiet, and stopped beside her aunt, eyeing the clothes with a mix of curiosity and deep thought.
Mia picked up a soft onesie and folded it in her hands, then reached over to grab something else when she noticed Bella was staring at the ultrasound photo resting on the edge of the table.
“Here. So you get a better look.” Mia said handing the photo to her niece, her tone warm and inviting.
Bella carefully took the photo in her hands and held it like something precious, her dark eyes focused entirely on the 3D ultrasound image of her baby cousin.
In the picture, Joshua’s tiny body was curled up, his eyes closed, his hands tucked near his face in a fetal pose. He looked so fragile, so small, and yet so perfectly real. Mia’s heart swelled every time she saw it herself.
“What do you think, hun?” Mia asked casually, sensing Bella's curiosity.
Bella was silent for a moment, scrutinizing the picture. Then she looked up at Mia with a serious expression. “He looks like an alien.”
Mia blinked, taken aback for a second. She had expected a reaction, but not quite that one. "I—"
However, she couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle. Despite being taken back at her statement, looking at the photo from Bella’s perspective, she couldn’t deny it. Her unborn son, looked a bit like an alien.
“An alien?” Mia responded.
“Yeah,” Bella said, her finger pointing to the tiny form in the ultrasound, her gaze still fixed on the image. “Like one of those little grey ones with big eyes. And tiny arms. He’s probably trying to communicate with us.”
She let out a soft, surprised laugh. “I—yeah, I guess he does kind of look like an alien.”
Bella looked up at her with a knowing glint in her eyes. “Like one of those aliens you see in the movies, who only want to take over the world by abducting socks.”
Mia grinned. “Well, that’s probably what he’ll do, then. Steal all my socks.”
Bella nodded seriously. “I’ll make sure to stop him. But only if you don’t make me change his diapers. Or deal with any screaming.” She wrinkled her nose, clearly not thrilled by the thought. “That part sounds awful.”
Mia chuckled, her heart warm at how perfectly Bella’s blunt honesty fit into the situation.
“Oh, don’t worry, you won’t have to do any of that.” She added softly. “You’ll just have to play with him... and maybe sing him a song or two when he’s fussy.”
Bella held a look of consideration as she nodded. “That part sounds better. I can hang out with him... maybe teach him to play the piano.”
She raised an eyebrow, as though she were already imagining how she would teach her baby cousin to tap out a few notes. “No diapers. No crying. Just the good stuff.”
Mia leaned back slightly, stretching her legs out in front of her, but her expression remained playful. “Fair enough. You can skip the diaper duty, sweetie. But I bet, you’ll teach him the important stuff.”
Bella grinned, clearly more interested in this arrangement. “I can do that. But if he steals my socks, I’ll just take his toys away. I’ve got a lot of experience with that.”
“Deal.” Mia said, still grinning. “I think Joshua will be more than happy to have you as his big cousin, alien or not.”
Bella gave her a serious look and smirked. “Of course he will. Aliens need love too.”
“But when he steals all your socks, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“I’ll be ready.”
And as the snow continued to fall outside, Bella took a seat beside her aunt, eyes on the ultrasound photo in her hands, already imagining how she’d teach her little cousin everything he needed to know.
The house around them hummed with the promise of family, warmth, and new beginnings.
~~~
I decided to do Joshua cause it’s his birthday month. Plus me and @gcthvile haven’t done our baby girls YET 💋
Let me know what you think 💭
