HAPPY UT ANNIVERSARY!

Its been seven years! What an amazing time. Wish we could have done something for this year, but life has bit us in the ass and we haven't had the time or energy for it. Hopefully next year we will, though!

Thank you Toby Fox for making such an amazing game. And thank you fandom for giving us a space to freely express ourselves and our ideas!

Always remember to have perseverance through all of the hardships of the world.

To keep integrity in your heart, even when those around you are deceitful.

To be patient with your abilities and the abilities of those in your life.

As people who have been raped, we absolutely DESPISE when people say stuff like "forgiveness could help you move on" or "they got therapy and changed to be a better person."

First of all, nobody EVER is required to forgive someone who sexually assaulted/abused you. In fact, 90% of the time with people we've met, when a survivor says theyve "forgiven" their rapist/abuser, it usually means they're blaming THEMSELF, or BELITTLING their trauma because its "not that bad."

Second of all, even if the abuser/assaulter has had psychological help, that doesn't mean what they did is okay or forgivable. Because it is not.

SEXUAL ASSAULT/ABUSE IS UNFORGIVEABLE. PERIOD. It doesn't matter how 'gentle' they were. It doesn't matter if they 'feel sorry.' It doesn't matter because once youve been raped/abused/assaulted, THAT STAYS WITH YOU FOR LIFE.

And if the survivor DOES forgive them, out of free will? Thats their choice to make. But that doesn't mean they should be ANYWHERE near their rapist/abuser. BECAUSE EVEN IF THEYVE FORGIVEN THEM, ITS UNHEALTHY TO BE AROUND SOMEONE WHO CAUSED SUCH HORRIBLE TRAUMA. Never let a victim of sexual abuse be around the person who hurt them. Never. It is bad for their mental health and recovery.

We also DESPISE when people say "worst could have happened." COMPARING TRAUMA? Not cool. It doesn't matter who has "more" or "less" trauma. it doesn't matter who has "more severe trauma." TRAUMA ISN'T A COMPETITION. It is a HORRIBLE thing, no matter what it is.

From bullying, to emotional/mental abuse, to physical abuse, to sexual abuse. From loss of a loved one, a physical accident (like a car crash or natural disaster), or poverty, or EVERYTHING ELSE that could POSSIBLY scar someone. All of it is horrible. And it should NOT be "compared" or belittled because someone went through something worse..

1. Toriel hasn't misgendered any of the canonically trans characters. She also didn't assume pronouns for Frisk; she used 'they/them', and when Frisk never corrects her, she continues to do so. Which is what EVERY Undertale character does. Implying that ALL OF THEM respect Frisk not to randomly assign pronouns they think fit. As far as we know, Monsters are neither homophobic NOR transphobic.

2. The theory of Deltarune Asgore cheating on Toriel with Rudy...is ridiculous, honestly, but lets indulge in the land of fantasy. If, in some crazy twist of events, Asgore was a cheater...how would that make Toriel homophobic??? Why wouldn't she break up with him for cheating on her?? Of course she would break up with a cheater, regardless of their sexuality!!

3. Toriel telling Alphys and Undyne not to kiss in front of Frisk is the stupidest reason to call her homophobic. Shes JUST being protective; like, YEAH, plenty of protective parents shield children from watching makeout sessions! Thats normal!!

Toriel, while she does have flaws, has never shown ANY signs of homophobia or transphobia. Just like how Berdly, while being an annoying shithead, is still respectul; hes just blind AF to people's attractions.

toriel is not homophobic or transphobic or whatever in any universe i'll fucking kill you she uses frisk chara and kris' correct pronouns easily and without event and we can joke about "not in front of the human!" all we want but that really was all it was. don't start making out in front of a human kid you just met yesterday after they were just almost killed. homphobic toriel just isn't the vibe sorry she's not a "karen" she's a good mother <3

If we look at how almost every character in Undertale treats Papyrus, everyone talks about him as though he’s a young child despite him being either a late teen or young adult, and they all think of him as naive and innocent. However, the one person who explicitly states confidence in Papyrus (while also admitting he can be tricked easily by those who aren’t honest about their intentions) is Sans, Papyrus’s brother and therefore the one who knows him best. Additionally, in the neutral ending in which Papyrus becomes ruler of the Underground, we see him showing much more maturity than most characters give him credit for, even insuring a policy that humans can’t be judged all good or all bad–something we don’t see other rulers do.

Papyrus’s experience of being treated as childish and naive by everyone except his relatives despite showing a great deal of maturity is highly reminiscent of autistic teens/adults’ treatment in mainstream society and media. In this essay, I w

While it's...cute? in fanart to see Kris go up and hug Susie, in canon, when Kris is moving on their own to sit next to her, they always give her space.

And the one time Kris (jokingly?) asked her for a hug/to share her jacket, they asked, they didn't glomp her.

They immediately smile at her ribbing a moment later, showing that they're not bothered by the refusal.

In fact, any time they've gotten physically close, it's because Susie approached Kris.

Which Kris seems to be perfectly alright with; she's their best friend and Kris does seem to want to be close to her, since they ask her for a hug after the Spamton fight.

My point is, Kris deliberately gives her space when it's up to them how close to get to her. Not only are they respectful of her boundaries, Kris seems to want Susie to bridge that physical gap herself.

If they hug, Susie's probably going to be the one to do it first.

we hate it when we find an artist we enjoy, but then we stumble upon transphobic art...it happens in the undertale community on deviantart a lot.

like, we found this artist who made GREAT content of the ghost cousins, but then made an entire comic strip about Mad Mew Mew that was really transphobic...like, basically misgendering her and making her "hate her new body" even though she adores it and praises it in-game.
