This movie goes back and forth between three families moving into the same house during different decades. I do like how all of them connected.

Jonathan Bennett being in his fourth gay Christmas movie is iconic, and I love that each of his Christmas movies have important conversations or topics, this one has a gay couple becoming foster parents for the first time.

The Holiday Sitter (2022) || 4/5 🌟 || Romance/Comedy || "Sam is a workaholic bachelor who's babysitting his niece and nephew during the holidays. Completely out of his element, he recruits help from a handsome neighbour and soon finds himself in an unexpected romance."

Aw this was really cute

I really appreciate the conversation that Sam and Kathleen had towards the end, about how marriage and kids were always an option for her but not for him because he's gay. and then to have their entire families celebrating them! I loved it so much!

There were definitely sweet moments and I think this could've been really good if only the script was better.

It's definitely a hallmark-y christmas romcom, every single cliche possible.

But honestly I'm glad we can get these cheesy ass romcoms now.

THIS IS A VERY EXPLICIT SHOW!

CW: On-screen sex scenes, outing, strong sexual language.

This is a new 8 episode Spanish Christmas show on Netflix.

These are very messy characters and messy relationships, and honestly let queer people be messy, queer characters don't have to be perfect and they don't have to just exist to be "good" representation, or be palatable for cishet people, which this show definitely isn't.

While I was excited for the possibility of polyamory in this show, even though I don't think non-monogamy was handled the best I was fine with the way it was handled at the end, any polyamorous person will tell you that non-monogamy is not the solution to a failing relationship and at least that was showcased in this show pretty well.

The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls (2021) || 4/5🌟 || Romance/Comedy || "Excited for a calm Christmas, Mike Mitchell unexpectedly gets roped into a Christmas house-decorating reality TV show against his brother."

This is the sequel to the 2020 movie The Christmas House.

We saw a lot more of Brandon and Jake in this one, which was one of my issues with the first movie, they were kinda in the background, in this one they were more of a main focus along side the Christmas house challenge.

Because it's a Christmas movie it's cheesy and cliche and ridiculous at times, but we deserve to have these types of movies like straight people have had for a hundred years.

This has a gay couple raising children in a Hallmark Christmas movie, which I don't believe we'd gotten before this.

Jonathan Bennett is also in a new Hallmark Christmas movie 'The Holiday Sitter' which has a gay couple as the main romance and focus of the movie while Jonathan's character is babysitting his niece and nephew, I haven't seen it yet though.

We're slowly getting there everybody!
