So i finished the ruikasa fanfic by not touching grass
this is part 3
part 2: https://www.tumblr.com/aylin-hybison/737301746667470848/that-rui-kasa-fanfic-part-2?source=share
All night, Tsukasa barely slept. He couldn’t focus. He didn’t know why. He was so confused.
When the morning came,  Tsukasa was filled with a sense of dread. His job was simple. All he had to do was to take the knife handed over to him by his father, slice the Kamishiros necks… and end their lives. That was all he had to do. It would be a simple job, much easier than the countless other missions he had taken on.
He didn’t know what to do. He really didn’t. But there was no more time for pondering and thinking. He had to get up. Sleep wasn’t important. Tsukasa went into the bathroom. Washed up his face. Stared at himself in the mirror.
His eyes stared back at him.
It was time.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
He climbed the stairs up to the execution platform. He could feel the weight of hundreds of thousand stares upon him. Today, everyone’s attention would be upon him. He was the one representing his family name. He could not make mistakes.
He took over the knife, handed over by his father.
The rising sun was so beautiful. The yellow mixed with purple on the horizon line. How Tsukasa wished he could return to simpler times, where he could stare at the skies with no worries weighing down his mind.
His hands were so wet. They were drenched with sweat.
He could do this, he told himself. He wouldn’t drop the knife. First, Rui’s father climbed up onto the platform.
Slice.
He fell with a comically loud thud onto the ground.
Then Rui’s mother.
Slice.
Now she was dead.
Rui.
He was smiling. A melancholic smile.
Tsukasa stared right into his eyes. He had killed before. This wasn’t his first time. He had two corpses decorating the space around his feet. He had blood staining the ends of his pants. He had blood on his blade, on his hand, blood was nothing new to him. He was no stranger to death. But… but… he found this kill was quite similar to his first one. He didn’t know what to do.
“Help…” Tsukasa whispered.
“Do it.” Rui whispered back. “Remember, you can’t hesitate.”
He couldn’t.
He had to do it.
Slice.
Another one down.
Tsukasa felt like throwing up.
What was wrong with him?
There was blood on his cheek. He stepped down from the platform. He felt so disgusting. The people cheered for him. He was a murderer. He didn’t deserve this. What to do?
He looked back on Rui’s corpse.
Rui was strangely ungraceful in death. Blood everywhere. Eyes empty. Lips pale.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
“Good job, Tsukasa! That was a nice one!” The guards and his father congratulated him.
He didn’t deserve the praise.
He smiled back at them. “Thank you. If you don’t mind, I didn’t have enough sleep last night. I’ll just go off and take a nap.”
“Congratulations! Good job! Yeah that was well done!”
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
He felt dead. Did he stab himself too, when he killed Rui?
It would make sense. There was so much blood on him. He felt like he was covered in blood.
“Take care of my people.” It was as if Rui’s ghost was whispering in his ear.
They would never know the truth. Rui’s people would forever have a tainted memory of him.
“Rui, I promise I’ll take good care of your people. I promise, that they’ll be happy.”
“I’ll never forget what you did for your people.”
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
“Isn’t it sad that our prince died?”
“Yeah! He was so nice to us. He would have been a good king if he ever had the chance to take over.”
“Indeed, it’s sad.”
“He was like a real life Robin Hood from the stories. I remembered the one time he left me food on my windowsill. That one piece of bread saved me from starving to death.”
“It’s a shame, really.”
“I still can’t believe that he died.”
“Yeah, let’s just hope that this ruler will be kinder than the last.”
“Let us all hope and pray, but never forget our kind prince Rui Kamishiro.”
“To never forgetting!”
“To never forgetting!”
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
And so they lived in mostly happiness and peace.
The people at the very least could have a full stomach, but they never forgot the kindness of their prince, and neither would Tsukasa.
The people always somewhat resented Tsukasa, from taking their beloved prince from them, and Tsukasa always somewhat resented the people for not knowing the truth.
So this is how this story ends, my dear reader. Both sides having unwarranted resentment and hate towards each other, and in Tsukasa’s case, he never really forgave himself. That was perfectly fine with the common people, as they never liked him in the first place. But despite what Rui said, he did not go to hell, but to a heaven. He saw this, and knew this. He knew that there would be most likely no way for them to get rid of the underlying resentment, but also knew that he had actually been loved by his people.
Would he have lived, then?
Probably not.
“Tsukasa… my people… I hope to see each on of you here one day. There’s so much I want to tell you all… but my life was cut short… by myself.”
THE END

That Rui kasa fanfic part 2
part1: https://www.tumblr.com/aylin-hybison/737289447761182720/i-like-ruikasa-too-heres-a-silly-ittle-ruikasa?source=share
summery:
Ruikasa royal au
Rui… what was he doing? Or… more precisely… what had he done? That was his own father! How could he? But… at the same time… would Tsukasa have done the same, if he had seen the truth? Probably not.
“Rui… why? Why? Did you do it intentionally, to help me? My kingdom? Or my father? Did you do it solely to help your people? Do your people not fear us? I fear war, and I am a prince with guards. Rui… why?” Tsukasa whispered as he stared at himself in the bathroom mirror.
“Compose yourself. You have all that you need.”
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
“Father, I have the information from the crown prince.” Tsukasa announced.
“Tell me.”
Tsukasa relayed all the information Rui told him to his father, all but the stories of Rui’s childhood. And the fact that he had drugged his own father, to help his people.
“Thank you, Tsukasa. Tell the guards to announce that Rui Kamishiro, crown prince, shall be executed on the morning of the next day, at the rise of dawn. And you, child, shall have the honour of executing him.”
“...yes, Father.  Thank you, Father.”
As Tsukasa was walking to the guards post, he felt… a slight sense of sadness, pity and … another feeling he couldn’t name.
What was going on with him? What was going on with Rui?
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
“Okay,” the guard replied after Tsukasa informed him of the announcement.
Tsukasa nodded at him and walked towards his room. His room, where Rui was.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
“You’re here.” Tsukasa said upon seeing Rui sitting on the floor, free from his chains. “Why are you…”
“Why am I not in chains? They were too tight, and poorly bound, for your information, so I just got out of them.”
“If you could escape these chains, why didn’t you escape, or try to escape?”
“How did you know I didn’t try and fail to escape?”
Tsukasa gave Rui a pointed look.
“Fine, I didn’t because… there’s no point. Where would I go if I were to escape? My kingdom is yours, I have no family, what am I supposed to do?”
“You could have tried to start a revolution?”
“Thanks for the advice, but my people hate me, and the royal family. They think we’re all corrupted and evil, and they’re not to far from the truth.”
“That can’t be true-”
“No, it is. Even if you hadn’t so barbarically invaded my country, the people would revolt sooner or later. It’s kind of inevitable.”
“...”
“...”
“You could have lived.”
“...Tsukasa, I don’t think you get it. My life has been fulfilled, or as much as it can be I don’t want to live anymore, especially if I have no purpose. My people will be happier under you and your father’s rule, I trust you.”
“...oh.”
“Oh, and tell me, when will I be executed, so I at the very least have something to look forward to.
“...tomorrow. At the crack of dawn.”
“Why is it so early? I suppose they have to make sure everyone is so sleepy nobody will remember the bloodshed.”
“I’ll be the one to end you and your family’s life.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yes.”
“That’s great!” Rui leaned in to whisper to Tsukasa, covering the sides of his mouth like he was sharing some sort of intimate secret, and said, “Make my parent’s death extra painful for my people, will you?”
“...sure.” Honestly, Tsukasa felt… numb. He really didn’t know what to say.
“Hey, Tsukasa, look at me! Don’t blank out!”
“You’ll be taken to the dungeons soon.” Tsukasa stated.
“That’s so sad. Hey! Hey! Tsukasa, are you there?”
“If it’s any comfort to you, I’ll make your death quick.”
“... Tsukasa. Are you listening to me? Of course not. And you don’t even know how much I have sinned. Kill me in the same way you kill my parents. I hate pain, but this is my own way of repenting for what I have done.”
“What have you done? And aren’t you afraid of death? Or pain?”
“We’re sure asking a lot of questions today. Yes, of course I’m afraid of death, afraid of the judgment that comes after death, of the pain of death… only a fool would not be afraid of the darkness that lies beyond. But oh, would you hear that, the guards are coming to take me. I better get back into these chains lest they suspect something, shall I?”
“...you should.”
“Help me, will you?”
Silently, Tsukasa bound the chains around Rui once again and secured them in place.
“Ow, not so hard! That’s too tight! Tsukasa, can’t you be a slight bit more gentle? You don’t want to accidentally kill me now, do you? Hey, are you there? Fine, if you like the peace, I’ll shut up.”
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
“Prince? We’re here to take the Kamishiro off your hands. May we enter?”
“You may.”  Tsukasa replied.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
Rui was brought to the dungeons. Tsukasa was left all alone.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
Tsukasa went through the rest of the day as per normal, but everything suddenly felt… emptier. Colder, quieter. He didn’t know why, but it seemed like a part of him was missing.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
When he went back to his room to sleep at night, he noticed a note left on his desktop.
He read the note. The note was written a rushed scrawl, but a nonetheless readable handwriting.
“Oh. So that’s what you did. Really, Rui? Really? Rui…”
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
My dearest darling Tsukasa:
I don’t have much time to write this. I just want you to know the atrocities I have commited, because I can’t bring myself to tell you, and I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself if I didn’t tell someone the things I have done.
I killed my own people. I drugged my father. I stole from my own family.
I killed my own soldiers so you could win this war.
I drugged my father so you wouldn’t be hurt.
I stole from my family’s food for random strangers in the streets.
I will burn in hell once I die, but I can at least rest in the knowledge that my father will be there with me.
And Tsukasa, I don’t even know why I did all of this
At first, it was only for my people, a pure, undiluted, innocent motive. Then I heard of you. And I thought you could save my kingdom. I hadn’t even met you, then, but I had so much hope that you would save my people.
I hear your people are happy. Perhaps my people will be happy if I surrender them to you. Perhaps I have saved them. Or… perhaps I have doomed them. Tsukasa, you will one day take over. I am begging you, be a good ruler. I do not wish to meet my people in the underworld.
Sincerely, and confused, and upset, but hopeful,
Rui Kamishiro
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
“Rui… I’ll try my best. Rui…”

i like ruikasa too
Here's a silly ittle ruikasa royal au because i feel like it
summery:
Ruikasa royal au
Rui was the crown prince of another nation, another nation that has now fallen.
Tsukasa is in charge of interrogating him, but finds out things that he never expected to find.
------------------$----------------------
Explosions shook the ground and the scent of sulfur invaded Rui's nostrils. He grabbed a knife from his belt and ran away from the fire that was rapidly advancing towards him.
He pulled down his cloak to mask his features before going down his planned route. He slashed across a soldier's throat, alerting the rest of the group. The group turned around, leaving them prone to enemy attack.
That was all he could remove without arousing suspicion.
His job was done.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
"Victory is almost ours, Tsukasa."
"Indeed, Father."
"Now, it is your job to capture the royal family. They are already weak. The brick wall has been destabilised, and now it is your job to knock it down."
"Yes, Father."
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
Tsukasa fought through enemy lines, guards and soldiers, to reach the place where the Kamishiro royal family was hiding. How cowardly of them to not help with thier own soldiers!
He slashed and ducked the blows of the guards. This was too easy. It was as if the royal family wanted to be taken.
When he reached the throne room at the centre of the palace, he smiled triumphantly as he saw the Kamishiros waiting there for him.
"I, Tsukasa Tenma, order that you surrender to me!" He declared.
"N-now you see, good sir, if you are a mercenary, I promise I will reward you far more grandly than if you were to fight for me than the Tenmas!" The King Kamishiro smiled nervously in hopes of buying Tsukasa over.
The Kamishiro royal family consisted of only three memebers: the King Kamishiro, the Queen, and the Crown Prince, Rui Kamishiro.
"I am no mercenary. Now, come with me before I use force."
"Father, we have no choice! We have to go with him! The castle cannot go down!"
"Shut up!" King Kamishiro yelled at his son.
He pondered over his choices - surrendering, and likely being executed later, or being killed on the spot.
Although being executed later would allow for him to bid his time, his ego wanted to preserve whatever was left of his dignity. He attempted to attack Tsukasa. Tsukasa did not expect that, but as soon as he lifted up his blade to parry the king's attack, the king... lost consciousness and fell unceremoniously onto the ground.
Strange... Tsukasa thought. But he just ignored the slightly weird stuff going on and captured the royal family as per his father's orders.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
"Bring the royal family to the dungeons. Bring all but the crown prince. Interrogate the prince. Use whatever methods you have to. Make him give up the secrets of his kingdom."
"Yes, Father."
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
"Rui Kamishiro, I, Tsukasa Tenma, as a loyal prince of my kingdom, demand that you give up the secrets of your land!" Tsukasa pointed his sword at Rui's throat.
"What land?" Rui tipped his head back and laughed. "My land is gone now. My people are yours. So what more secrets do I have?" He was bound in chains, forged specifically to contain him.
"Kamishiro. You know what I am talking about. If you do not comply, I wil be obligated to use force."
"Go on! You are a loyal prince of your country, and I am a loyal prince of mine. I will not willingly give away my secrets."
"Then you leave me with no choice. Guards, bring him to my room. I will find out what he is hiding."
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
Rui was forcefully bought to Tsukasa Tenma's room, and bound in the same chains so that he could never escape.
He had been taken. His kingdom had fallen. He had lost his parents. He had lost everything. Let them see the truth. After all, what more did he have to lose? He was about to die anyways. Might as well make a fellow prince's life a slight bit more difficult.
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
Tsukasa walked into his room. Rui smirked at him. Althought Rui was the one in those power-binding chains, he still looked like he had the power.
"Tell me. Now." Tsukasa ordered as he pulled out a knife and kneeled down so he was staring into Rui's eyes.
"Why should I? I'm going to die anyways."
"Since you're going to die anyways, why not make your death quicker and slightly less painful? Knowing my father, your death will be drawn out and painful." Tsukasa warned.
"Hahaha... what barbarians you are." Rui laughed, sardonically.
"You say we're barbarians? You're no better!"
"Fine. I'm not one to endure torture for long, anyways. So, you want to hear secrets?"
"Yes. Tell me."
"Well, then the secrets of the kingdom, that I have, at least, I shall tell you. But just a heads up, I do not know many secrets."
"Tell me what you know. Now. Stop procrastinating."
"Okay, okay, okay. Let's start, shall we?"
—-———————————————————————————————————————————
"My father is not a kind man.
"To be truthful, the people of my kingdom were never loyal to him. To win them over, just try to be slightly less of an asshole than he is and you'll be fine. You won't have to worry about revolts or revolutions or anything like that. They only care about getting fed, having a preferbly warm place to sleep at night, and they are mostly content.
"Just to give you an idea of how fucking terrible my father was a king, I'll tell you a little childhood memory of mine.
"Oh, and no. Unlike most children, I'm not blinded by his love, or the fact the he's my father. Perhaps it's because he never gave me much love, and never been much of a father figure. Somethings, I think that a blood relation is the only sort of relationship that we have. But hey, who knows?" Rui shrugged as he said this.
"So, when I was around, say, five, six, years old, my father finally let me out of the royal palace for the first time. Outside the royal palace, I saw these scruffy people sleeping on the streets. Quite clearly, I didn't know who or what they were. I asked my father why their bodies were covered in dirt, why they looked so thin, and whether we could do anything to help them.
"My father, being the amazingly kind bastard he is, said that we could do nothing. Said that we had to look out for ourselves. I didn't get it then. I thought that we didn't have the resources to help them. We were the royal family, of course we had the resources." Rui sighed. "I wished I could have helped them. I think what my father was trying to instill in me was the belief to only look after ourselves.
"Years later, I sneaked out of the palace and went to one of the less fortunate villages out there. I disguised myself as a commoner, although I soon discovered that I look nothing like a commoner in my land. No, commoner isn't the right word. At that time, they looked like fucking corpses. I was, in those villages, considered very, very fortunate. The very fortunate ones were only lucky enough to have food on their tables for every meal. And the meal was usually a peice of bread or something of that sort.
"I was so lucky... and yet I never saw it. I ate at every meal. I was suffering from no disease, and yet, I wanted more. I wanted love." Rui looked... disappointed at himself. "But hey, it seems that I'm going off topic. I'm not supposed to be complaining about my asshole of a father, but hey, you never know what happens!" He laughed
"Anyways, just... be nice to the common people. They've suffered enough, okay?" Rui requested.
"I didn't know you cared about them." Tsukasa replied.
"Wow, just like what my father said when I requested him to be nicer."
"Moving on...
"The army is probably also in a bad shape. Mostly due to the fact that my father starves them, to win over their dependence and 'loyalty'. I won't elaborate any further, but it should be quite easy for you to treat them well and win them over. That's quite literally about all I know." Rui finished.
"I have another question." Tsukasa said.
"Go on, ask."
"Why did your father just collapse and loose consciousness when attacking me?"
"Ah, good question. He probably isn't fit and pulled a muscle and collapsed from the pain or something like that." As Rui was explaining, Tsukasa noticed that he averted his eyes and looked down at the floor, quite different from his usual confident stare.
"You're lying, aren't you." Tsukasa stated.
"Perhaps..."
"Tell me!" Tsukasa threatened and aimed his knife at Rui's neck.
"I don't really see how this is important."
"Just. Fucking. Tell. Me. For god's sake!" Tsukasa pressed the knife into Rui's neck.
"Ouch! You didn't have to do that!" Rui winced in pain. "I have sensetive skin, all right? But, because you're oh-so curious, I drugged him. Just a little innocent drug. When he exerted himself, the drug would activate and sedate him for a while. Happy?"
"What?" Tsukasa paled.
"Did you not understand what I said? I said, I drugged him, because he was an asshole and I didn't like him." Rui snapped.
"But... he's your father!"
"So what? So what if he's my father? I owe him no loyalty, and he has earned none. I am a loyal prince of my country, as you are to yours, but I am loyal to my country and my people, not the crown!"
"Can you tell me more?"
"Not as of right now, but you will know all soon. You know most already."
"Okay. Sure, great. Thank you...? And wait here while I go do something!" Tsukasa ordered.
"Sure, I'll be right here, waiting for you."

i just had a random thought
for those of you who play hsr and have read mdzs, dont yall think that the yunmeng trio (jiangcheng wwx and nhs) kinda like dan feng/heng, blade, and jingyuan.
i didnt read tye hsr story that carefully so i may be wrong on some things
and spoiler warning for both mdzs and hsr, but nothing big with spoilers
dan feng/ heng is like wwx. Both of them kinda have mc energy, both of them were reincarnated (kinda?) and to me their just kinda similar
jiangcheng is like blade, they both have angsty emo sad energy. (And jiangcheng is somethimes shipped with wwx and dan feng/heng with blade)
jingyuan is nhs, the somewhat (very) intelligent one and... yeah i have nothing else.
and and and i saw like smth on pinterest that it was kinda sad that they started out as friends and ened up as strangers and enemies, which is kinda what happened with them.
its not completely the same cause i would saw that i believe that wwx is completely dan heng but jiangcheng is kinda also baiheng because when jiangcheng lost his golden core wwx and jyl had to cut out wwx's golden core to jc, which when baiheng die, dan heng/feng and blade tried to revieve her i think, i still think jingyuan is nhs with the body of nmj's body (buff).
do yall agree with me? I mean this is a thought ihad while rereading mdzs while string at dhil x jingyuan x blade fanart so i may be high on something who knows

jingliu and baiheng as that one rooftop scene in mdzs
Jingliu as LWJ, who catches Baiheng (WWX) drinking wine in a place where wine is prohibited, and the events that follow after.
If you havent read mdzs (aka the gradmaster of demonic cultivation / mo dao zu shi by mo xiang tong xiu you should)
--- ------------------------------*-*-*---*-*-*-*--*--*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Under the cloak of the starry night sky, a foxian starskiff pilot climbs atop the roof of a temple in a mountain village, holding a jug of Emperor's Smile. She swing both legs to dangle from the slanted paving of the roof to face the endless starry night sky. This war would not be over all that soon. Might as well drink some wine to pass the time. She opened the jug of Emperor's Smile, held the jug by the neck, tilted her head back and took a huge gulp. The stars were so beautiful that night. Shame that it was on of the few times the starskiff pilot had left to see such peace and serenity that clearly.
Unbeknowest to the skyskiff pilot, she was seen from atop the roof by another. A righteous swordmaster stood under the moonlight, silently approaching her.
"It is against the village laws to drink wine in a temple, or near a temple, which you are." The swordsmaster announced as she dropped to the side of the starskiff pilot.
The starskiff pilot's eyes widened in shock. She had not been expecting anyone to abruptly tell her that what she was doing was prohibited, or really, anyone to approach her.
However, the starskiff pilot recovered quickly, smiling at the swordsmaster and saying, "Jingliu! I wasn't expecting you of all people to be up here tonight. Perhaps you would like a sip of the Emperor's Smile?"
The swordsmaster frowned at the pilot, repling, "Wine is not allowed in or near temples. Put away your drink immediately."
"Oh, come on! There's nothing wrong with just taking a little sip... or two. Or perhaps three. We should all relax a bit, you know?"
"..."
"Come! Come! Have a sip!" The pilot raised the jug of wine, making the glow of the moonlight illuminated her pale hair, and tried to press it to the swordsmaster's lips.
"Stop!" The swordsmaster unsheathed her sword and pointed the tip at the pilot.
"Hey hey hey I get it! I'll stop! But are you sure you don't want a sip?" The pilot stood up and grabbed the hilt of her own sword.
"Stop offering me a drink!" The swordsmaster yelled, before managing to conain herself before she disturbed the ones who lived in or near the temple.
"Fine. Suit yourself. But you know, you really shouldn't disturb other's peace." The pilot snapped, before jumping off the rooftop and away under the faint glow of the moonlight. The swordsmaster lowered her weapon, staring blankly into space as she saw the pilot run away into the distance.
She notices that the jug of wine was left behind. She picked it up and descended from the rooftop. She wanted to throw it away... but realised that she couldn't. So she kept it, perhaps as a little something to remember the day that she met a person who dared to break rules, who dared to live freely, without any limitations set on themselves.
Not long after, they would meet again, and the swordsmaster would fall in love with the pilot's wit and cunning and beauty and all the astounding qualities she brought to the table. She would not tell the pilot, tryng to show her love through gestures instead of words to prove it's sincerity. However, she overestimated the pilot's emotional capabilities, and the pilot never understood her affections, and would go on to think that the swordsmaster hated her.
In the upcoming war, the pilot would sacrifice herself, and the swordsmaster would lose herself, in the grief that she lost the one she loved without her even knowing how much she loved her, passing on thinking that she hated her.
-*-**-*---*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*--**
Go and read mdzs if you havent yet its so good and gay you wont regret it I promise
