I've heard about all the stuff with Fortnite and honestly it really puts in the confirmation I won't be playing it much if at all.

I play games for the art, when all that's there is corporate there's no art and thus no reason for me to play.

I feel like I'm a bit of an outlier with my fursona because she's not anthropomorphic. It's more of a lore choice though. The world around her was heavily inspired by My Little Pony and Them's Fightin' Herds and they didn't need to evolve hands because levitation magic was so quickly discovered and became one of the first things Evolunarian children are taught. Main exceptions are the Dragons and Kobolds because they split off from the Lizards and began evolving on a remote island with noticeably less magic particles.

I'm really off and on when it comes to games like Cities Skylines or Game Dev Tycoon for some reason. I feel like it's a type of game I should enjoy but I guess I don't sometimes?

I just had an experience with someone asking to be commissioned after a stream. I'm going to copy paste what I said to them as it's generally how I feel when this type of thing happens.

Sorry, I needed some time to think, and I'm gonna need to be blunt. I get it, you're an artist who wants their art more known but as someone who does their own projects there's an etiquette to this and things begin getting complicated when money is involved. A person who thinks someone's really cool and wants to make fan art? Yeah, that's normal. A person who comes to someone else asking to be commissioned? Not as much.

Look, I feel really bad saying this, but self promotion comes with a time and a place. My best suggestion to grow as an artist is to make a commission sheet and post it here, or maybe set up a Ko-fi page. Maybe you're in some Discords that have a channel for self promotion or at the very least a channel to show off your own art. Your friends probably wouldn't mind if you asked them to check out your stuff too! Art streams could work, time lapses on YouTube!

The conclusion I want to make is…I understand the desire to make your voice known. It will take time, but it will happen.

Don’t Die on a Hill, Dang It!

Welcome back to random tangent from my mind I post on social media! I feel like it's important to say that there's no shame in switching sides if you realize that one side is wrong. Picking a side is not signing a contract; you can change your side, and people will be understanding. It's better than dying on a hill.

After hearing about what Aonuma said about Zelda and not wanting to go back to the old style I'll just go ahead and talk about it.

BotW and TotK are good games on their own. But as Zelda games they are incredibly dissapointing. I miss the BotW era of speculation where we thought it was going to be closer to something like Twilight Princess but you choose where you want to go. Now it doesn't resemble Zelda at all outside of the characters.

To segway, I think Light no Fire is gonna be a good example of what Open World Zelda can be if they just ditch the Zelda name like they should because it's not at all close to normal Zelda.

Also, while I have not played it, Tunic exists and I've heard it's pretty good so just play that if you want classic Zelda.

I have a weirdly specific phobia of corrupted game textures, as in the ones you'd see on Vinesause corruption stockpiles. Like, contorted 3D models of humans? I'm completely fine with that. But textures? That just creeps me out.

Doing all the side missions in Cyberpunk 2077 right before the point of no return is the equivalent of going to college, succeeding in all your classes, becoming the leader in your field, and all after your doctor said you have a few days to live.

Maybe I should go to doctors more often so, if there is anything, I can obtain 100% completion on physical and mental illness, then show it on my profiles like a trophy

I am beginning to think there is something critically wrong with how I see relationships. A lot of the time I feel like it's an uphill battle where I must fight for everyone's attention. Yet...I don't know how else to see it. If I'm not making the rounds people will forget about me, they'll abandon me because there's no reason to be my friend.
