That Feeling When...
you came up with an amazing character name during a verbal conversation, but you didn't write it down, and now you don't remember the name; only that it was an amazing name :smiling_face_with_tear:

That feeling when...
you were trying to come up with a naming theme for your next pokemon run, so you think to name them after your OCs, so you go to your excel spreadsheet you have that is a sorted list of all your OCs (because that's something everyone has, obviously), and you realize the list is out of date by a few years, and now you've completely forgotten about pokemon and are now updating your OC spreadsheet with a potentially unhealthy level of scrutiny and enthusiasm

Idea for a Story #6
My youtube feed keeps giving me suggestions for gimmick rom-com manga, and while I don't know why it keeps giving them to me (yes I'm aware that the more I look at them the more the algorithm will suggest them, but I don't know when/how it started is my confusion) it has reminded me of some older story ideas I had for such a genre from back in college. I'll post a few of them as I re-remember them, with a few tweaks to the original idea added in for story cohesiveness and to better setup the premise. With that said...
Idea for a high school slice-of-life romance anime/manga/webcomic: protag is too picky and critical about the girls he tries to date: always finding multiple flaws in their appearance, personality, choice of interests, or even aspirations, that cause him to lose interest in whomever he dates once he realizes they don't stack up to the "dream girls" he has in his head. He is fully aware that he's the problem, but argues that this is just how his brain has always worked, and he can't just "flip a switch to make his brain think normally" (maybe something that can be addressed later in the story, like he has some kind of hidden trauma from his childhood that caused him to always be hyper critical of potential partners/spouses, whether he wants to be or not)
Anyway, one day, after protag rejects yet another girl for seemingly abstract/random reasons, one of his guy friends claims he doesn't even know what his criteria for his "dream girl" is, and only uses that as an excuse to not have to commit to anyone. Protag refutes this, and the guy friend tells him to prove it by explaining exactly what his "dream girl" looks like. Protag then sheepishly admits he has multiple "dream girls" that each have their own sets of criteria in his head like a checklist. He has a checklist of aspects for a tomboy athlete, a nerdy girl, a gamer girl (which he claims are two very different types of girls), and so on, with the only commonality between them being that they should all have red hair. Upon hearing this, his friends are all rightfully upset at him on behalf of "all women in the universe" who could never and will never meet his hyper specific criteria for even one of his dream girls, let alone multiple. They call him hopeless, and say he's gonna die alone unless he gets over himself. A few nights later, protag laments to himself that he completely agrees with his friends, but doesn't know how to not think the way he does. He briefly wishes that his dream girl was real (not specifying which type of dream girl) so he could just find love already and not worry about fixing himself, as he thinks the former would be easier. He then looks up and sees a shooting star, and immediately wishes that he didn't need a dream girl to be able to find love, not realizing the shooting star had been in the sky for a while before he noticed it (you all see where this is going)
The next day at school, not one but three new transfer students join protag's class, and they all look exactly like protag's dream girls in his head: a tomboy athlete, a nerdy girl, and a gamer girl. Protag eventually puts two and two together, realizing the wishing star granted his first wish instead of his second, but he doesn't know which one of the three girls was the one made by his wish. Resolving to become even more critical of them to try and snuff things out, Hijinks ensue as he begins pursuing all three new girls to find his "true" dream girl, all with different levels of success.
Never figured out which girl he ended up with by the end while I was in college, but with my current story mindset and the tweaks I made, I think ultimately it shouldn't matter. The ending though would obviously be that protag gets over the "dream girls" in his head and learns to love "a" girl (doesn't even have to be any of the three) for who they are, flaws and all. With that said, how we get to that ending can go a few ways: --protag finds flaws in two of the three girls that turns him off of them, while determining the third to be his "true" dream girl, only for the third girl to reject him, making him realize that it doesn't matter if he finds his dream girl if he himself can't be someone's dream boy, and this revelation causes the dream girl criteria in his brain to shatter. --protag finds flaws in two of the three girls that turns him off of them, while determining the third to be his "true" dream girl, only to find that even though she is perfect in every way he thinks matters, he ultimately loses interest in her as well, and this revelation shatters his brain's dream girl criteria. --Overtime protag gets to the root of his problem on why he thinks the way he thinks, and with the help of his three new female friends, he learns to overcome it and shatters the dream girl criteria in his brain himself.
Or maybe there's a 4th option I didn't consider that would be even better. I'd love to hear people's thoughts.

That feeling when...
you get games that you wanted to play for the story, but you've gotten used to playing games with background noise, so now it feels weird to play without background noise, and you can't play your story games with background noise because the noise distracts from the story :smiling_face_with_tear: (idk how to do emojis)

Idea for a Story #5
Idea for a webcomic/youtube series: one of those analog horror monster stories where the monster looks human but isn't, but, it's from the perspective of the monster.
Premise: protag is part of an unspecified species of monsters that can shapeshift to look like humans and have lived underground for thousands of years. a couple of centuries ago, small groups of these monsters (which I'll call "lookalikes" as their generic analog horror monster name given to them by the humans; doesn't really matter what they're called given the focus of the story) emerged from the underground to begin preparations for what the lookalikes have come to call "The Great Emergence", where millions, possibly tens of millions, of lookalikes from across the world will emerge from the underground to join human society and gradually take over the world by simply eating the humans until they outnumber them.
The plan for The Great Emergence is as follows: 1.) a first generation of lookalikes will study the humans for several years/decades, learning all they can about how to look and act human, including human language, appearances, habits/mannerisms, etc., integrating themselves into human society as completely as possible to sell the illusion. --This will be the part of the plan considered most likely to fail, as the lookalikes haven't mastered how to look and act human, hence why only a small group are doing it to reduce suspicion. 2.) a second, slightly larger generation of lookalikes will emerge to act as the "children" of the first generation, learning everything that their "parents" learned in order to blend in more seamlessly, while the "parents" will eventually return to the underground to teach the rest of the lookalikes how to be human once their "children" are sufficiently integrated. --an example of one of the trickier things they needed to learn is that they have to start out small and gradually grow bigger overtime to normal human size, but only for a couple of decades or they will grow too big and arouse suspicion. another tricky one is "adding more loose skin" after about half a century on the surface, and acting frailer when they've spent almost a full century on the surface 3.) a third, even larger generation of lookalikes will later emerge and integrate themselves into human society on their own, to prove that the first generation's teachings to the underground would work effectively enough that, at the time of The Great Emergence, they'll all be able to integrate effectively, and eventually replace the human race as their numbers dwindle. --this is the generation that our protag is part of, and theirs will be generation that will herald The Great Emergence. And of course throughout all three generations of lookalikes, they've been killing and eating humans, but doing so only on rare occasions to avoid suspicion, and usually only going for people society won't miss. Humans have plenty of other meats that can be consumed in the meantime, but eating them raw with the skins still on is considered abnormal (humans are such picky eaters).
This is the state of the world that our protag is in, living a simple but fulfilling life; at least, they assume humans would consider it fulfilling: living in an apartment, hanging out with friends (both human and fellow lookalikes), even working a job at the local town's meat processing factory (which is also run by a lookalike, so the lookalike employees there get to "sample" the meats they process whenever their hunger would risk them getting exposed). Despite the latter benefit, protag still likes to kill humans, as do many others of her generation of lookalikes, and society is starting to take notice. Despite this, with The Great Emergence on the horizon, protag's generation aren't caring too much about it.
So the story would follow protag's life before, during, and after The Great Emergence occurs, and how their life and the world around them changes as a result.
Not sure about individual details at the moment, but the story could go many different ways, depending on the desired tone of the story: --maybe protag made a human friend that they decide they don't want to see killed during the emergence transition --maybe protag doesn't care about the humans, and we just follow their monstrous life going from place to place as the analog horror scenario goes on around them (and they are actively part of it) --maybe this third generation brought too much attention to the lookalikes, and The Great Emergence either meets resistance or fails entirely, and now the roles are reversed with protag being the victim and the humans being the monsters
Lots of options.

Idea for a Story #4
Idea for a high school romance/slice of life anime/webcomic: my attempt at making something that stands out among probably millions of others in the genre at this point...
Protag has a medical condition that gives him intensely vivid hallucinations, but rather than be scared of them or feeling terrible because of them, he actually finds them quite pleasant--
(I was thinking schizophrenia, as I heard that not everyone's hallucinations are negative, but I overall don't know enough about that or similar mental illnesses to be able to say for sure what condition could cause this; feel free to offers ideas for what you think could suit my story needs without coming off as insensitive for how it's depicted, or simply verify my hunch that I should keep it vague on what condition is causing his symptoms)
--The kicker though is that, while there is medication available that could help protag's hallucinations go away, it's incredibly expensive, and his parents unfortunately can't afford it without going into extreme debt. As such, upon confirming that protag's hallucinations aren't making a danger to himself or others, the parents reluctantly decide to leave it be, instead focusing on helping protag live with the hallucinations rather than financially ruin themselves trying to cure him. As a result of this, by the time protag has entered high school at the start of the story, he's become very good as discerning hallucination from reality, and by extension being able to ground himself enough that he isn't disrupting those around him, at least not too much. Protag is honestly pretty happy/content with his lot in life, but does sometimes wonder what it would be like to see the world "like a normal person"
Enter the love interest, a girl who is part of protag's freshman homeroom class, and just so happened to be completely blind after an accident several years ago, meaning she can't see the world "like a normal person" either (or at all for that matter). If the choice of identical wording didn't give it away, these two end up bonding over their shared "abnormal" ways of looking at the world, especially when the girl asked protag to describe what he sees, and through his descriptions she is able to see the world again (if not a better version of what she remembers), which she's very grateful for.
Not too much thought out about the idea after that. Maybe one of them gets the opportunity to be "cured", and thus they have to make a tough decision about whether they want to go through with it or not, as they may worry that doing so will ruin the friendship they have with each other (they are high schoolers, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had that incorrect train of thought, at least for a little while until the other person assures them otherwise) Aside from that, a lot of the appeal of the show I imagine would be the vivid hallucinational artwork that would be throughout the show; really psychedelic and surreal stuff (unless that would be offensive to people with similar medical conditions, as that wouldn't be my intent). Regardless, feel free to suggest ideas for where the story and/or characters can end up going. I'm curious what y'all come up with.

Idea for a Story #3
Idea for an anime: protag gets reincarnated as his own son from another dimension/timeline/universe.
Basically when protag dies for whatever reason, he's given the option to reincarnate as one of his family's descendants, which he agrees to. The problem is there is a mixup, and protag's soul ends up in the wrong universe, resulting in him being born as the son of an alternate version of himself.
Hijinks ensue as protag learns about how events in this timeline differed from his own, but at the same time the timeline is similar enough that he's able to predict events that have yet to happen with frightening accuracy. There's also the inevitable conversation he ends up having with his alternate self, who initially doesn't believe it until protag reveals something that only a version of protag would know, which ends up shifting the dynamic of the relationship for the rest of the show, only for it to shift again when the mother finds out due to noticing the change between father and son.
Alternate version of the idea (that I think would be much more likely to already exist): the mixup isn't another dimension, but rather one of protag's ancestors was supposed to be reincarnated, and instead of being his own son, he's actually the son of his son, ending up being born not long after protag's death. still a lot of hijinks potential, but I think the mother-son relationship would be a lot different from the first idea, as while in the former version she can pull the "if you are the same person then that means I have twice as much of my husband to love" card, here the relationship could drastically change based on how the original relationship between protag and the mother was before he died.

Idea for a Story #2
Idea for an anime: Magical Girl Isekai
First episode has the big bad show up and destroy protag's home city, with protag only narrowly escaping thanks to the intervention of whatever the source of the magical girl's powers is (goddess, benevolent alien, ancient wizard; whatever). We get a montage of protag obtaining their magical girl powers, learning how to use them, and overall training to become stronger, until eventually she confronts the big bad. Protag tries her best, but the big bad is still too strong, and protag is defeated and about to be killed. This is when the power source intervenes again, apologizing for their failure to protag, and in a last ditch effort to keep protag alive, power source sends protag through time into the past, with their last instructions to her being to find the source of the big bad's power and destroy it before the big bad can ever exist.
Thus does the true premise of the story begin, with a magical girl trapped in the old fashion medieval fantasy past, trying to find and destroy the source of the big-bad's power and save her future, with the big bad in the present sending their monster-of-the-week minions into the past to find and slay the magical girl before she can succeed.
We can have all the tropes of this sort of premise: --meeting the future magical girl power source when they were young/inexperienced, and maybe having protag train said power source like they trained them --have protag accidentally/unaccidentally set up events/people that were shown/established in that first episode --she can either succeed in her mission, or finds out that her actions made an even worse future (depends on the tone of the show)
etc etc. could be a fun time.

Update: I was able to remove the dashes, huzzah. I guess I was trying too soon to change my name the first few times. I googled that there was a 24 hour wait to be able to change my name back, and I thought I waited long enough, but I guess not.
Whatever. It's fixed now and I'm happy.
I immediately messed my account name up
I wanted to capitalize my tumblr name, and I somehow I screwed it up and it resaved my name with two Ls. Then when I tried to change it back, it said my original name was already taken, so I had to add those dumb dashes to make it look presentable again. god fucking damn it.
If anyone knows how to fix my blunder so I can go back to just "azurelightsmith09", I'd greatly appreciate it. Otherwise, I guess this flub-up will just be forever immortalized on my account and bug me forever whenever I look at it...great...

Idea for a Story #1
Idea for a fanfic/video game: a mario and sonic world swap story, aka mario ends up on Mobius while Sonic ends up in the mushroom kingdom, and hijinks ensue. An unoriginal idea I'm sure, but in all my time on the internet, I've only ever seen art or jokes made about the idea, and no one attempting to make a story around the idea, let alone playing it at least semi-straight in said story (maybe I just haven't looked hard enough). So, I want to at least think out loud about the idea; a semi-believable premise to set it up, how mario and sonic's approaches to heroing would work in the other's worlds, how they'd handle their villains and vice versa, etc.
Premise: Eggman and Bowser are both attempting to reach out into other universes (one via science and other via magic), coincidentally at the same time and for different reasons (Eggman wants to harvest resources from other universes to help further his next big plan to take over Mobius; Bowser wants to find a new ultimate power to give him the extra edge he needs to beat mario). Both heroes attempt to intervene, and while they ultimately thwart their plans, they get sent through the villains' interdimensional gateways at the same time before said gateways explode, naturally ending up in the other protag's worlds. hijinks ensue as each hero has to adapt to their new environments, make new friends, thwarts their new enemies, and ultimately find a way back home.
Sonic vs Bowser: --Sonic's speed would be insane here; I can't think of anything that Bowser could do to outspeed or slow him down; Bowser may be strong and bulky, but that means nothing if he can't hit his target, so he'd have to fight a lot smarter just to get the opportunity to gain an advantage in a fight. --Sonic doesn't actually kill; breaks robots sure, but he always makes sure the animals inside are ok; this could open up an interesting interaction where Sonic is defeating all of Bowser's minions non-lethally, which could be its own challenge; He'd certainly be shocked when he sees Luigi, Toad, and even the princesses just straight up murdering the koopa army.
Mario vs Eggman: --Mario is a lot more durable than sonic, but also much slower; able to take a lot more hits, but probably couldn't escape traps that were calibrated for Sonic's speed, so eggman may try to kill him with booby traps more than direct confrontation (though mario vs metal sonic would be a fun boss battle) --Mario is straight up willing to kill, much to everyone's shock, but thankfully most of eggman's minions are robots...but they have animals inside, so could still be problematic; eggman would play more strategically than usual, opting to stay further away from Mario when fighting compared to when he fights sonic, as unlike sonic, Mario will go for the killing blow if given the opportunity
That's all I really got on the idea so far, but the overarching story would definitely be Tails working to recreate Eggman's portal for Mario, while Sonic would get help from...idk who, honestly, to create a magical gateway to get him back. Let me know y'all's thoughts on how this idea could be fleshed out more, like how maybe since there aren't any mushroom on mobius, and/or rings in the mushroom kingdom, both protags might only have one hit before dying, or maybe how the different power ups would differ or not differ when given to the other protag. Tons of potential with this idea in my opinion

A lot of great choices in the notes, but I've got one that no one's thought of (possibly because it's relatively recent, and also may not have a fandom in the way y'all are referring to)
Vtuber fandom: AmaLee/Monarch's Outfit when she joined VShojo (my youtube feed keeps giving me clips of her recently, so that's probably why I thought of her third)
Aside from that, my first two thoughts were Pokemon's squirtle squad and Gurren Lagan but I also acknowledge the notes' mentions of Steven universe and homestuck. All kinds of great options overall though.
How to summon multiple fandoms at once
