🌈 Rainbow Roulette: Day 3 – ORANGE! 🧡

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about orange, but WOW — this look is giving fire goddess energy ☀️🔥

Bold? Yes. Wearable? Surprisingly yes.

And I did it all in 30 minutes with a toddler throwing snacks at my feet 😅

I need advice...

Does anyone else miss the days of YouTube makeup creators where it was more about tutorials and less about pushing products on people?! I miss the days of 2016 makeup tutorials and it being about actually learning... and I find myself wondering if that vibe will ever come back. I want to be a makeup creator and my long-term goal is to become an MUA, but I just struggle to make content for TikTok that actually gets any views.. I just don't feel like I can get enough of my makeup tutorial done in such a short amount of time... I'd much rather make longer tutorials but I feel like all anyone wants to see is short, super edited, stuff and every time I try to make makeup TikToks/Reels, by the time I edit them to fit in the time limit, they just feel choppy and not authentic or like the real me. The authenticity is just lost!

Does anyone else get what I'm saying??

If someone wanted to be a makeup creator, what would you recommend in this situation? Suck it up and just do the short, super edited makeup videos that give people the short dopamine rush, or start a YouTube channel and focus on actually teaching and learning and sharing the journey in longer videos and just letting your authenticity shine in the way only you know how to, and then focus on promoting the crap out of it so people actually watch it?

I feel like YouTube growth in terms of a following just isn't what it used to be.... does anyone else feel this way?? Like, how does one find balance between the content they enjoy making and the content that people seem to want?

⚡ Glycolic Acid

🌙 Moon Water

🍵 Green Tea Packet

🌹 Rose Essential Oil

🌱 Peppermint Essential Oil

🪔 Any other oils you'd like

𝐿𝑜𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛: 🛁 Your Shower

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀:

1. Put Glycolic Acid on your scalp and massage into your scalp for a couple minutes. Place the intention that you are scrubbing off the bad to allow the good to come in! 💞 Leave it on for no longer than 15 minutes.

2. While that's sitting, take your Moon Water 💦 and steep your green tea bag in it for 5 minutes, just until it has a nice color.

3. Add a few drops of your 🌹 Rose Essential Oil and focus your intentions on manifesting your healthiest hair, skin, and any other beauty related things you want to bring into this new month and feel the love you have for yourself in your chest by placing your hand on your heart 🫀while you take deep breaths.

4. Add a few drops of your 🌱 Peppermint Essential Oil, focusing on manifesting abundance for this new month.

5. Add any other essential oils you'd like to boost your intentions. ✨

6. Once that mixture is all mixed together, step into the shower and repeat, "I am beautiful. I am confident. I am worthy. And abundance is on its way to me without any obstacles in the way!"

7. Pour the mixture over your hair and use your hands to massage it from your scalp to your ends. 🧖🏻‍♀️ Imagine that you're rinsing away the negatives and anointing your head with all your positive intentions.

8. Shampoo and conditioner and shower as normal!

Maturing is Realizing...

As I've gotten older, and especially once I became a mom, I've come to realize a lot of things, but there's one that constantly comes back to me as a reminder... I don't know about you, but one thing I struggle with is falling into the trap of thinking, "It's not the right time," or "I'll do x when y happens..." and the next thing I know, months have gone by, and I'm no closer to achieving the goals, the life, or frankly the level of happiness that I want. If you're like me, you've probably fallen victim to this mindset before. You've waited for the right time or waited for a certain thing to happen to act as some divine sign that you could finally start chasing your dreams. But guess what? That divine sign isn't going to happen! You can't just wait for things to happen before you start living the one life that you're given, and trust me when I say, I'm writing this as a reminder to you, but also as a reminder to myself! Years ago, a friend told me something I'll never forget, "A goal without a plan is just a wish." WOW! Talk about powerful! Or as the brilliant Mel Robbins said, "You're never going to feel like it!" Every single day, we have to wake up, smell the flowers, and DECIDE that what we want is worth it and most importantly DECIDE that we are worth having whatever it is! And then here's the kicker, we have to CHOOSE to put in the action steps to actually achieve it. So, I challenge you to choose your dreams every single day because you are worth your dreams, but you can't wait for them to happen. You have to put in the work!
