Due to a change in management to an irresponsible and hateful woman, I had to leave Book Lover’s. This is to let everyone know that this blog is now dead, and to warn everyone to stay far away from this store. All you’ll find is hoarding chaos, dirt, and mold now. 😔

Sometimes the Military Fiction section just gets really familiar. I’m not the only one who had this thought at this cover and these titles, am I?

This book title should go under the file ‘Commas Matter’. What are men ships? Are they ships specifically for transporting men? Are they romantic pairings favored by male audiences? Does the sea have an effect on whether men believe Sally should marry Joe versus marrying Peter?
Use commas, avoid ambiguity!

Admittedly I didn’t know most of them, but I’m always curious!

When working with used books, one often encounters inscriptions left by previous owners. Most of the time it’s an owner’s name and address, a to/from message, notes, or childish scribbles. But some cases are much more… interesting. This is one such writing, which I have copied in a standard font as the handwriting us rather difficult to read. (If the pages look odd, it is because I had to photograph each page separately to get a clear image and merged them back together for this post.) I’m still not sure how to react.
Warning: does contain a couple of swear words, for anyone who may find that offensive. I have no intention of offending anyone, just sharing an experience from work.
P.S. Please don’t write in books, though! Unless you are the author, it decreases the value and can make them harder to sell.

Found this little doodle and note in this book the other day, thought it was cute. Kid draws a pretty good truck, don’t you think?
