I was at work the other day and we always have music playing in the background, it will usually just be a playlist from 8Tracks or something. But this song, Sweet Ophelia, by Zella Day totally caught my ear which was strange because usually I just tune out the music and totally forget it is even playing. Zella Day is a pretty cool lady from Arizona and I highly suggest you check out her music. I received Amanda Palmer's album Theatre Is Evil as a Christmas gift from a family friend without ever having listened to any of her music previously. In all honesty, this frightened me! In some respects, I really love my favorite artists and musicians and often stick to their music. I know that is incredibly one-dimensional, but we are entitled to have our favourites. Since receiving that album, Amanda Palmer has become one of my favourites. I have listen to Theatre Is Evil countless times and I often recommend it to my friends. So now I'm going to recommend it to you! Take a listen to one of my favorite songs off of Amanda Palmer's album Theatre Is Evil, "Olly Olly Oxen Free" http://bit.ly/UdYCuX

Lush Haul II
Tumblr media
So as some of you may know Lush has released six new products to their permanent line! I was really excited about this and picked up two of the new products as well as repurchasing some products that I loved from my last haul, which I will share with you now!
African Paradise, New Product!  Type: Body Conditioner  Featured Ingredient: Almond Oil  Fragrance Score: 5 noses out of 5
So if you remember from my last haul I had bought Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner which I would have repurchased if not for Lush releasing African Paradise which I really wanted to try out. I love the body conditioners so much they just make my skin feel great and are a really nice way to finish off a nice shower or bath. I also think that African Paradise just smells amazing, it has lemon and vanilla oils in it which gives it a great scent. I will say though that this is one of Lush's most expensive products so I would maybe ask for a tester of the product first and try it out before going to buy the actual thing just because it is costly.
D'Fluff Shaving Soap, New Product!  Type: Shaving Cream Featured Ingredient: Strawberry  Fragrance Score: 4 noses out of 5
I was so excited when I saw this product on the list of new releases from Lush! I have already used it a few times and I know it will be a repurchase for me as my skin is still soft from using it the day before! There are also so many delicious ingredients in this product, egg whites, orange oil, vanilla, fresh strawberries, maple sugar, like that sounds like making a cake more then making a soap! All those ingredients also make for a fantastic smelling product. Love, love, love.
Buffy, Repurchase!  Type:  Body Butter Featured Ingredient: Ground Aduki Beans  Fragrance Score: 4 noses out of 5 * Vegan
I bought the large size of Buffy this time around because I love it so much. I think I have become addicted, I use it three times a week to exfoliate my skin, and it just leaves my skin so amazingly soft. I just have been so happy with this product, it has done everything it said it would.
From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, Repurchase!  Type:  Massage Bar Featured Ingredient: Lemon Fragrance Score: 5 noses out of 5 * Vegan
I have used this product every single day since buying it. What else can I say? It leaves my skin so soft and it smells just so good! I use it in part as a perfume because the scent is so long lasting I just love it. I mostly use it on parts of my body where my skin is really dry, like my heals or knees. It is just a great product and I highly recommend it.
If you want to read my pervious Lush haul you can click here. In my first Lush haul I review many more products as well so if you are new to Lush products it may really help you out with what to look for when shopping.  Cheers!

I love Volcano Choir. I think about all the perfect hot summer nights by the lake, just soaking up how extraordinary and calm the world seems during those moments... and of course then there is just this luscious music playing. It's a transcendental experience, almost religious. Here is the link to "Comrade" by Volcano Choir, please have a listen. http://bit.ly/1n5aHMU

This weekend 18,000 screaming fans—most of them teenaged girls—will arrive in Anaheim, California in hopes of seeing and meeting their favorite stars. But instead of cheering for Jennifer Lawrence or One Direction, they’ll be chanting the names of Hannah Hart and Tyler Oakley. The event is called VidCon.

English Major Reads: Fun Home by Alison Bechdel
Tumblr media
I read Fun Home as part of my 'gender and sexuality in literature' lecture in first year. As part of the reading, we had to examine the book through the scheme or view point that the book was exclusively about sexuality. Now for the proposes of that course it makes sense that we had to do that but Fun Home is a great deal more complex than that. I found it to be incredibly relatable as someone who had parents that fought and were separating, and relatable just in the sense of being a daughter. I am passionate about this book and I am very keen in my recommendation of it to all of you!
