Roscoe’s Tavern, also in Northalsted, is another cornerstone of Chicago’s queer scene. With over 30 years of history, it offers a diverse lineup from piano nights to themed parties, plus Roscoe’s Drag Race – a weekly amateur drag queen competition, the longest-running of its kind in Chicago!

The absolute highlight of Pride Month is the Chicago Pride Parade on June 29. First held in 1970 as a direct response to the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion, it was one of the first Pride marches in the U.S. Today, it's one of the largest in the world, attracting over one million people each year along its approximately 20-block route!
