Today marks five months with the lady of my dreams. This is the first relationship where timelines have flown out the window. I always had it in my head that you needed to know a person for at least a year (if not 30) to get to know them. With Shelby.. I met her and it felt as though my half of a heart met its match. Well, soon it would develop into that.

Little did I know that she was EXACTLY what I needed in my life at the time. We met at work; a call center of all places. She walked in the training room on that first day and all I could remember thinking was, “woah, what a bold move pairing so many patterns together.” She always does enjoy expressing herself through her clothes. It makes a statement. I love that about her.

She’s a neat gal. I really have a seriously rad gut feeling about her. Stay tuned. 💕

Why do I have the cutest girl ever? I don’t know, but I’m going to stop questioning it. This is rad as hell.

It’s January 31, 2021 at 1:55 am. I have to be up in two hours and 35 minutes to drive to where my sister and her kiddos live to then watch them while she works. Now don’t get me wrong, I love those rascals. One of a kind kids, really.. I have to admit that my energy is not what it once was so long ago. Sigh. I loved the days when I thought, wow, I will never get old. Now look at me, feeling 45 at 25. Moral of the story, listen to your body when it’s telling you what it ✨needs✨

Like mine.. it’s saying, “Sleep, for fucks sake” 😴

Highlight of my day:

My girlfriend and I had an impromptu date night where we grabbed a little Hawaiian grub and drove to one of our favorite nature spots near our place. We stop. She tells me to get out of the car and come around to her side. She syncs to the Bluetooth and starts playing, Can’t Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart. I digest what’s happening and realize that she was pulling me in to dance with her. We sways in the misty, cold air under the stars while the melody ripples around us. Lucky, I know 🍀 I’m not sure what I did to deserve her, but boy am I thankful.
