The recent news out of South Korea is stomach turning. The tragedy that is the current state of life for woman in South Korea is depressing to think about let alone live in & experience on a day to day basis. I hope all the victims get justice, find peace & can one day live in a society that doesnā€™t few them as prey, even in the ā€œš™Øš™–š™›š™šš™©š™®ā€ of their own home. May the hands of the universe hold them close & protect them from harm.

I highly suggest ppl look into the case of Jaleayah Davis. It was classified as an ā€œaccidentā€. None of her friend (white) were ever questioned & one of them just so happened to have the keychain her sister gave her that she never was without. https://www.change.org/p/michael-f-bennet-justice-for-jaleayah-davis

Horror for laughs.....respectfully
PODCAST TIME!!
Tumblr media
We're back for round 2 of my favorite true crime podcast. it's a short list this because well.....it's only two podcast. So as for the past two weeks I've put aside my regular podcast listens to binge listen to my new two favorite true crime/comedy podcast. True crime & comedy together will make a normal person cringe but youā€™re reading & Iā€™m writing this so...šŸ™‚
Iā€™m OBSESSED with Obsessed! Obsessed Network was founded by Patrick Hinds, host of both podcast. The network host a number of different true crime podcast you can check out but these are the main two that people recognize. ā€˜True Crime Obsessedā€™ is hosted by Patrick Hinds & Gillian Pensavalle, while ā€˜Obsessed With Disappearedā€™ is hosted by, again Patrick Hinds & the loudest women youā€™ll ever hear, Ellyn Marsh. Sheā€™s great!
These three have created a unique dialogue that many can relate too. The way we speak about true crime with other true crime enthusiasts is not always In a serious tone. For me, I find both podcast very comforting & familiar while some may find it crude. For those who are on the rocks, Maura Murrayā€™s sister was interviewed by Patrick last year in January. She signed off on the podcast & says she understands what they are doing & is totally comfortable with it. Of course sheā€™s not speaking for all, mostly the episode covering her sisters disappearance which is still haunting to many worldwide.
Please enjoy & listen! If you already do, youā€™re great, amazing, & I love you!
Stay Safe,
Chris šŸ’‹šŸ”Ŗā˜•ļø

Accidents not allowed..
Death is the one thing we canā€™t avoid no matter how much the thought scares us. I struggle with a fear of death like many others and the thought alone sends me into a panic attack (literally I had a panic attack one time). Whatā€™s more scarier than dying, is the way you die. Why? Well, because you donā€™t know how youā€™re going to die or when. We just all pray itā€™s quick and painless. This brings me to a common cause of death: accidents. Accidental deaths are sad and so unexpected that it hits you in so many ways you donā€™t have time to even process it. But sometimes families donā€™t accept the fact that their loved ones just passed away without a person purposefully harming them. Sometimes, a person isnā€™t even involved in their death and despite any evidence presented to them they still refuse to believe and to that I ask why?
I was watching an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (S2,E2) and the case Grissom and the team was working on dealt with a college student who mysteriously vanished, turns up dead in a garbage field and in the end it turns out to all just be an unfortunate series of events. At the end, Grissom and Catherine tell the parents what happened and they reject it immediately. The parents strongly insisting someone intentionally killed their daughter and that baffled me. Why would anyone want their loved to have died at the hands of someone else? To have suffered? Why canā€™t they have died accidentally? Why are accidental deaths so unacceptable?Ā
Tumblr media
This bring us to Rosemont, Illinois on September 9, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Chicago Oā€™ Hare hotel. The body of nineteen year old Kenneka Jenkins, who attended a party there the night before with friends, is found in a latched freezer in a closed off part of the hotel. Shady, right? Of course the initial thought is someone killed her, I mean there is no other explanation. After multiple investigations, even MTV covering the case onĀ ā€˜True Life Crimeā€™ law enforcement all concluded that her death was an accident. The Cooks County medical examiner listed her C.O.D as being hypothermia, alcohol and topiramate, prescription drug used to treat epilepsy and migraines, intoxication. The prescription drugs in her system was a big debate as the fact she didnā€™t have a prescription for the pills, but due to the fact she was at a party itā€™s not that hard to guess where she got it from. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.112 way above the legal limit which attributed to her confusion and how she found herself lost and wondering throughout the hotel alone until she eventually found herself in the freezer.
If you are familiar with this case then you remember Kenneka was captured on hotel security cameras up until the time she entered the freezer. No one was with her the entire time. She was clearly intoxicated, stumbling around most likely trying to find her way back to her friends or anyone she knew from the party. There was massive accusations of the footage being messed with or parts edited out or deleted. None of that ever came to be true. There were so many other conspiracy theories that also fell to be true. All the false narratives people tried to make to justify her death couldnā€™t be proven. The truth is, since Kenneka was a young black female, her death being an accident was unacceptable. It couldnā€™t be true. The family had a every right to question the cops and demand her death be looked into before coming to its conclusion. Her death was all over social media, in the news, and was a hot topic in the true crime community. Even to this day people still believe she was murdered and other conspiracy theories that have already been disproven. The cops closing the case was just the system not caring about another black life lost, but the truth is it was a accident because accidents happen. Kenneka didnā€™t die at the hands of another person but that still donā€™t make her death any less tragic. A young girl lost her life and she should be celebrated for who she was, not remembered for how she died.
Death is hard enough as it is but I think when we lose our loved ones in a tragic we want to blame it on someone. We have to because there is no way it just happened, but we all know thatā€™s not gonna always be the case. Accidents happen. Another show I was reminded of was ā€˜1,000 Ways To Dieā€™. If you remember that show, how are you still holding up? If you donā€™t, then basically it was a show of 1,000 ways people died in the oddest, most horrible ways. All the deaths were 100% accidents, most of the time no other person was involved. It really left a mark on how I live my daily life Iā€™ll tell you that.

Alexis Sharkey
Tumblr media
It's been just a little over three months since the nude body of Instagram and social media influencer Alexis Sharkey, 26, was found nude alongside a road in Houston, TX. Close to Interstate 10, about 17 miles west of Downtown Houston and just a few miles from her apartment. She moved to Texas last January of 2020 very soon after getting married to Tom Sharkley. They were only married for 11 months before her death, tying the knot December of 2019.
As of January 2020, The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences have officially declared Alexis's death a homicide with the cause of death being strangulation. The mysteries that surround her death have yet to be answered. She wasn't officially reported missing to the police by her husband, Tom, nor any other friends or family members but there was calls made to inquire about her missing.
There hasn't been many more news updates on Alexis's case since January that I can find. The case is still open and being investigated. A fewt true crime YouTubers are still talking about the case and keeping her story out there. Check out YouTuber's Stephanie Harlowe and Kendall Rae videos. Stephanie's video was release on December 15, 2020 about two weeks after her body was recovered and Kendall's video is more recent only being released a few days ago.

Hello! Welcome to my blog. This is a new passion project of mine Iā€™m really excited to start doing. As a fellow ā€œcrime junkieā€ Iā€™ve been obsessed with the morbid tales of this cruel world. Iā€™ve always wanted to help victims of crime and their families because I know what itā€™s like to have someone taken from you in a cruel way. My life was forever changed by this loss.
My biggest passion lies with our missing men, women, & children of the world. I want to keep their stories alive & help, in whatever little way I can, to help in the search for them. ā€œMissing But Not Forgottenā€, M.B.N.F, is something Iā€™ve been thinking about for awhile & I want to put it into action. Please follow for more updates & please send me any missing persons you know of that you want everyoneā€™s help in finding. We can all make a difference if we just keep our eyes open & stay alert.
Stay safe,
Chris šŸ’‹šŸ”Ŗ
