8 Things that I will teach to my future daughter
There is no such thing as perfect parents. They can be bossy, nagging, childish, or even difficult at times, just like their children. Both parents and children are growing and learning. As the first child, I am fully aware of the things my parents forgot to teach themselves while raising me. I am writing this for my future daughter; I will teach her these important lessons.
I will teach her that she is not just my daughter; she is also an individual with rights. No one has the right to abuse her—not even her father or mother. She is a human being first, and then my daughter. That is respect.
I will teach her that being a parent is not an excuse for not saying sorry when I am wrong. In return, she should acknowledge her mistakes and apologize as well. That is forgiveness.
I will teach her to love everyone, including herself. She can freely love anyone—whether a guy or a girl—but I will help her understand that loving others does not mean neglecting self-love. She should know the difference between true love and toxic love. That is love.
I will teach her to tell me everything that upsets her, and I will share with her what upsets me, little by little. I will not let her remain unaware of what I am going through, so she feels comfortable sharing her feelings too. That is honesty.
I will teach her that crying in front of her parents is better than sobbing alone in her room. I will be there for her when she needs support. That is openness.
I will teach her that parents are human too—that it’s okay for parents to cry, and it’s not a sign of weakness. Parents make mistakes, but that doesn’t make them bad. That is vulnerability.
I will teach her that respect should be given to everyone, regardless of race, color, or status. However, I will also teach her that respecting others doesn’t mean being a pushover.
I will teach her that I can understand her and love her deeply. I can empathize with her mistakes, and we can face challenges together. I am not just a parent; I was once a daughter too.

When you needed me, I was there to check up on you at the end of the day. When I needed you, you stayed silent.

…. At 6AM
At 6AM:
Sometimes I hate the rays of the sun
It makes my heart beats faster than it was
Blinding light makes me remember of the past
And my heart beats heavier than it was
At 8am:
While doing things that everyone wants
I can hear the clock.. ticks and tacks..
“It will get better as days past”
No. It won’t. It gets louder. Thunder like cracks.
At 10am:
When you have something that is falling
It is slipping off your grip
When you have a heart that feels like a burden
It is making you question your existence
At 12pm:
Sometimes I want to go to a land
Where no one give a damn thing about who I am
It makes me cringe when someone know my name
Their definition comes after that noun
At 2pm:
While doing things that everyone wants
Their words are burning.. flicks and flacks..
"It will get better as days past”
I’m a fool. It gets louder. Thunder like cracks.
At 5pm:
When you have something that is falling
It is slipping off your grip
When you have a heart that feels like a burden
It is making you question your existence
At 7pm:
When you have a life, you should use it
You are expected to walk and shine
Even if you have a heart that pumps burden
Even if you are questioning your existence.

"As an introvert, I constantly have to remind myself that people don't know what's in my mind. I actually have to talk to them and express emotions. It's the hardest part of my day, every day."

“Who says the writer’s life is easy? Do you know the feeling of having more than five characters with different personalities talking inside your head all at the same time?”

I am 27. I am still figuring out if I like myself or not. I am still asking if this is the path I want. I am still those years before being 27.

Time haunts us. That night that you choose to stay at home instead of your friends: you wonder if you are spending the right amount of time with them and if it's okay to be spending some time with yourself. That afternoon when you choose to drink alcohol instead of writing your book: you wonder if you are wasting your time instead of reaching for your dreams. That morning when you woke up and no one is there beside you, you wonder if you are wasting every morning by not loving someone to be there for you when you wake up. That night when you don't want to go to sleep because it feels like you are just wasting your time sleeping when you could've do something else and sleep later. We are always haunted by those seconds.. minutes... hours...
