My thoughts on Alastor’s sexuality (aroace)

Starting off aroace people fall under the asexual and aromantic spectrum. And with these there’s different types of ace and aro people. Ranging from demisexual and demiromantic- where they only feel romantic or sexual feelings after forming a strong bond with someone to graysexual and grayromantic- where others might experience sexual and romantic attraction once in a while but largely don’t.

My personal belief is that Alastor is asexual and demiromantic and allow me to go into further detail about my opinion.

It’s evident through Angel Dust and Alastors interactions that Alastor is repulsed by Angels sexual comments and it’s more than likely that Alastor has no intent with anything sexual.

But I don’t believe that he can’t experience or have any romantic feelings if he knows them well or has a strong bond with them. Like with the characters Rosie, Mimzy, and Niffty. During early development Mimzy was supposed to be romantically involved with Alastor.

Which from my point of view makes sense for him to be demiromantic as he’s known Mimzy for a long time- both of them knowing each other when they were alive. And although she isn’t a love interest anymore I think it’s safe to assume if he did feel attraction on a romantic level for someone he’d have to have a strong bond with them first.

Please note it is completely valid to assume he has no romantic or sexual interest with anyone else of the sorts but do not get mad with others if they think otherwise- especially if they aren’t taking away from his sexuality.

Also, Vivziepop stated a while back that it’s okay to ship characters with him as long as they respect his sexuality. Which, if he couldn’t experience romantic feelings than she wouldn’t have said this in the first place.

That’s just my thinking, though.

Writing an Alastor x reader fanfic, any tips?

Okay! So I want to write for Alastor and I was wondering how to go about his sexuality. Since he’s cannonically aroace I was looking for help in how to understand how to write him better!

I’ve gotten mixed answers saying that he can still have romantic feelings but they’re in a very little amount. Others have said he can’t have any romantic feelings. My goal is to write him correctly without devaluing or getting rid of the fact he’s aroace. Please comment any suggestions to help!!

Okay so I want to write an x reader with Alastor but I want to understand his sexuality better. I know that he’s AroAce, which means sex is off the table completely which I’m fine with not writing because its unnecessary. But, I want to write for him correctly and I’ve seen dozens of people say AroAce people can still experience romantic feelings for others but they’re in a very little amount. Or, just none at all.

How would I go about writing for his character correctly without getting rid or diminishing his sexuality? Would it be okay for there to be some romantic feelings?

Imagine you’re his s/o and despite his usual demeanor staying the same with his sharp smile and all whenever he’s talking with you his short fluffed up deer tail is always wagging side to side happily.

Or cuddling with him in his or your bed and its lazily swishing around. Imagine catching him by surprise and his tail stands straight up before starting to flick around after realizing its you.. its the small things in life I swear.
