I have reclused this year. I don’t know if it’s the bipolar, the stress of doing all my personal witchy shit, or my music producing journey. But I haven’t been active on social media. Not very anyway. I do apologize. Life does have a way of doing things and I believe it happens for a reason. Why did I recluse? I will never know I think. But I’m positive it’s for a good reason. Maybe self reflection and shadow work? Who knows! I definitely will try to blog a little more and start getting on tiktok again. But I make no promises.

Energy Vampire Cleansing Bath Ritual

Everyone has encountered an energy vampire. Whether it be a friend that shouldn't be one, or walking past one in the street. Every so often I would suggest taking a specific energy vampire cleansing bath to rid yourself of them. They can attach whether or not they know you. I know that doesn't quite seem possible but it's true. Imagine yourself just getting tapped while dancing or bumped walking in the busy street. That direct connection of energy can be linked to you like it or not. Here is what I do when I feel one attached.

Things you need:

Lemon oil

Sweet orange oil

Rose petals (any color your attracted to I suggest red or yellow)

Lavender

Babys Breath

Melaleuca soap

Melaleuca shampoo & conditioner

I use a tub with a drainer in the side of it. I over fill the tub with water. While the tub is filling I add lemon and sweet orange essential oils, rose petals and lavender for a softer release (it's like falling into pillows), and babys breath for that breath of fresh air after the connection is terminated. I also light a zingy candle like a citrus infused one and an incense that calls to you. I'd suggest something like lotus or eucalyptus. Sit in the tub and repeat a mantra. I use "Release the negative energies draining me, and bring in the good energies rejuvenating me." Once you’ve mediated on your mantra to the point you feel it’s completed, submerge your head under the water for however long you feel necessary. Once you’re done it’s time for the shower. I highly suggest using a melaleuca (tea tree) based soap and shampoo and cleanse yourself from head to toe. You should feel completely rejuvenated and cleansed afterwards.

I have an one of these plants and let me tell you I have a black thumb. This is a mother plant, 100%. I can keep a child alive but I’ve never succeed at being a green witch-I killed an aloe plant and a cactus! BUT this plant... African violets… I have one. I’m beyond proud of it. I’ve had it almost a year now. It flowered and I heard rumor that it normally does not the first year. I need to put its petals to use as they die off. This post I’m sharing has a lot of information to help me decide how I’m going to use the petals. I figured I’d share this information too as I’m positive there are other black thumbed witches out there that might have similar issues and need the courage to try another plant. This plant needs a special soil and pot as water is only needed scarcely.

Title: African Violet Other names: Saintpaulias Latin Name: Saintpaulia ionantha Planet(s): Venus Element(s): Water Gender: Feminine

Primary Associations: spirituality, protection

Description: A perennial flowering plant native to Tanzania and Southeastern Kenya.  African Violets can grow up to 12 inches tall and can grow 5 petaled flowers in a multitude of colors, including pink, blue, purple, white or a combination of those.  The leaves are thick, dark and ovate in shape. African violets are common indoor houseplants that can thrive in low light conditions and bloom throughout the year. 

Magical Uses: If grown in the home, African Violet is said to promote spirituality within it, as well as aid in protection.  African Violet petals can also be worn in an amulet for protection, and is also frequently burned as incense during the spring Equinox sabbat.  African Violet is also an excellent plant to add to faery charms and spells, the violet protects against faery mischief. 

Culinary Uses: African Violets are not actually part of the violet family of plants and are not considered edible.

Suggestions:  African violets have long been associated with mothers and motherhood, for this reason they have been a traditional gift to mothers.

Not craft related but I’m this kind of nature friendly witch. Nature does not like me (I’m allergic to most everything outdoors). I think it’s all beautiful but damn do I wish I could enjoy it more often without dying of asthma, allergies, etc. I wanna go on a hike so bad and swim in some hidden waterfalls without being eaten alive by insects that will turn my skin into welts and purples.

Black Salt!

There are various ways black salt can be made and, no, it doesn’t actually have to be black. The following black salt recipe I’m going to give you has absolutely no salt in it for environmental protection. If you don’t plan on using it in grass or anywhere plant life is living by all means add actual salt. This particular recipe is meant for this mantra: “Protect my home and sweeten thy hearth”.

I highly recommend putting it at fireplace openings as well.

Ingredients:

Eggshells (dried)

Ashes from anything (fires, cigarettes, incense, etc)

Black peppercorns

Activated charcoal

Cocoa powder

You can add black powder food coloring or squid ink but honestly I don’t mind if my salt isn’t black. It’s about intention.

Take your ingredients and grind them down. Be sure to set your intentions like how you want to sweeten your hearth! You can use a Mortar and pedestal or a food processor. Doesn’t matter what tools you have as long as you have the intentions set. Once done you can sprinkle it over your doorways, window sills, fireplaces, etc. You can use it for protections, banishments, healings, hexes and more! This is more meant for protection of ones home AND to “sweeten thy hearth” by bringing in whatever you may want in abundance: money, love, calmness… anything that you want to be sweetened. I actually use the mantra as my spell while I sprinkle my home. To boost protection effects, put a charged obsidian crystal in the salt for an hour before you use it. There are other crystals you can do this with but obsidian is one of my husbands favorites. Examples: tigers eye, amethyst, onyx, quartz.

My Apologies

So I got rather sick at the end of March and it lasted through til July. I was pretty much couch bound with GI issues that we couldn't figure out. Turns out it was a new medication I was on and am now finally switched to something else. Directly after figuring this out, I took a extremely bad fall down a large flight of steps and was couch bound again for an entire month. This time I was unable to even help my family even in the smallest of ways. So I clearly was not able to post for a few months. But, now that I am back in the swing of things I can start blogging again. I have had a few personal spiritual experiences that I am not sure I want to share as of yet. BUT I can definitely start more material. Next up- latest type of black salt made with egg shell substitute for environmental purposes.

A friend of mine family member is having a tough spiritual time so I offered to make them witches bells to help control some of the activity flow. This was completely done through intuition and custom made for her but I love it so much I’m thinking about adding them to my etsy! What do you all think???

Struggling finding a place to start?

My suggestion would be to start with grounding. Before doing any practice you need to be in the right headspace. There are many forms of grounding and not every way will fit your needs or likes. Here are some examples:

-Meditation

-Listen to music

-Sing!

-Cleansing

-Yoga

-Breathing exercises

-Smell a scent deeply

-Listen and focus on nature or the surrounding sounds

-The 5-4-3-2-1 Method

-Mantra chanting

-ASMR

-Moving around! You can dance your way to a clear head.

-Squeezing a ball, bouncing a ball, tapping a pen, drumming

-Word association game

There is no right or wrong way to ground yourself. Some methods will work better for certain tasks than others. It's okay to use multiple techniques and to assign different techniques to different activities to achieve your goals. I would start this even before starting a book of shadows or a grimoire. You need to be able to concentrate to journal your experiences, spells, and gathered knowledge. Grounding will give you a great connection to access your power, energy, and the universe.

The Murdered Friend

This is one of the medium readings I did.

All I knew prior to the start of this reading is the client and the victim spent Valentines Day together as friends. There as a moment where a kiss could have happened but didn't. They hung out and watched movies and then he left her to go home. The next day he was told that she disappeared. She was later found murdered up in the desert hills in California outside of their city. This happened many years ago. At the time he was hustling to get by in life and now he is financially stable with a family of his own. This is literally the only details I knew.

I shuffled my deck and got clairaudient words floating across my mind. The victims presence was light and airy-very sweet. I pulled a few cards and began to read. She most definitely was murdered but would not say how. She states through the cards that she is happy he finally has reached out to her. She has been visiting him many times over the years. She regrets not pursuing a relationship with the client but is happy how his life has turned out. I get the statement in my head, 'She is not who I pictured for you, but she is good for you.' He laughed and asked why. The cards state she pictured someone more like herself but his wife is described as more headstrong and harsh but not in a bad way. He laughs. He wants to know what kind of life would they have had if she hadn't been murdered. I shuffle some more. The cards answer, 'a good one but nowhere near as good as he has it now. Financially living paycheck to paycheck struggling- happy but struggling and still living in California.' I had more cards pop. The message continued to state 'don't dwell on the past, your life is where it was meant to be, and it's good.' As were sitting there the word 'smell' and 'outdoors' comes to my mind and I tell the client. He laughs again, "That day we went out onto the balcony and that's where we almost kissed but there was a terrible smell that made us go back inside." He never told me about being on a balcony nor about a terrible smell. He tells me that he felt bad about what happened to her. He wished that he was there and that maybe that could have prevented it. I draw some more cards- they state to not feel bad, things happen for a reason. That she did think about asking him to go with her on her errands that day but felt he wouldn't have been interested in them. He says he feels worse. Shuffling some more we get more from the victim. Another don't feel bad. 'I made the decision not to ask.' We conclude for a while but a couple hours later I get an overwhelming sense of urgency and it definitely feels like the victim again.

I get back with the client and shuffle a spread. I tell the client I'm overcome with this feeling of urgency and the need she needs to explain herself. The cards spill out an entire message for him. The message states that he is feeling like he missed out on something with her and that since we talked earlier he has been ruminating on what could have been. Advice was 'don't'. If she did not die, he would not be fulfilling his life purpose like he is now. They were not meant to be. She has been with him in previous lives and he has done the same thing for her in order for her to move forward. He has everything in this life he needs to ascend when its his time to go and that he needs to continue to do what he is doing with his family. She proceeds to give me more sensory vibes that makes me feel like she feels very bad for giving him this false hope of a future that never happened. I tell him this. He states out loud that she does not need to feel bad. I get vibes from him making me feel like he is skeptical about this second reading. He asks me if he can ask another question. I tell him certainly. He asks about a specific music show they went to called Deadman. I pull cards and immediately a card with a poison cup on it referring to the title of the party-Deadman. Two more cards come up, one referencing it being fun party, the other referencing a fight that occurred at the party involving the client. The client laughs again telling me he had to ask to make sure it was really her. He tells me that there was a fight at this party and that she was the person who got him the gig at this party. He stated he is officially convinced of my skills and of this spirit being her. He confirmed that she was right and that he was ruminating on what could have been. He went over all the details he hadn't told me before the reading and that he had never told anyone about the details I gave him: the smell, the balcony, and the fight at the party.

I believe my gifts are meant for Mediumship

As I've stated before, I've had gifts since birth/since I was a small child. I am clairaudient, claircognizant, and clairsentient (my strongest and most a-tuned ability). I also occasionally see spirits and extremely rarely smell them. I would not consider me having clairvoyance or clairalience due to these only happening rarely. I have never once experienced clairgustance. I've had premonitions before but I can honestly state I've had maybe 5 in my 30 years of living. Since the December spiritual attack, I've been more connected than ever to the other side. I can honestly state I've felt the calling to connect spirits to the living. I've been recently attempting to do so. I've been practicing my craft while doing medium readings using tarot as my communicator as I believe I am much more connected and stronger with both skills combined. I am definitely in need of some help and I most definitely need friends who are willing to guide me. I do not want a mentor per-say. I want a friend! Or a few... Radio Silence

I’ve been away the last two weeks due to half of my house being sick, my bipolar episode, and just needing to step back and evaluate where I want to go with all my social medias. 

What has come of all this?

I decided I am going to start an Etsy for my tarot and oracle readings. The store front will not be limited to readings but will feature all sorts of things from my life. That could mean thrifted things I find to sell, spells I create for sale, jewelry I’ve made or come across too. 

My Tiktok will just be an excerpt of various parts of my life. 

Tumblr will stick to my witchy experiences unless I deem other things necessary in connection to those witchy experiences. 

My Instagram will be just my life in general- covering all topics!

Reaching out to Loki

OKAY SO first and foremost I need to say I NEVER before have ever reached out to any deities other than the one God I follow religiously. This is a complete first time for me.

So a little starting information on this. I was talking with a family member who brought up that a certain female, of non relation but dating a man married in but then removed-father of a blood relation, was messaging my family members harassing them for things completely out of our families control and particularly not involving us in any way shape or form. The person that would be involved in these things is actually dead... for a long ass time now. This woman is running her mouth, insulting family members, blaming us for things we have nothing to do with, and consistently insulting a dead family member (ex of this man mentioned above, mother of their child). She has been told to stop on various occasions but simply hasn’t happened. I decide I’m going to break my promise to my Hubs and hex her. Not harmfully. I didn’t get his blessing but he will not stop me he said. The only reason being I plan on trying to make it as humorously as possible. 

I discuss hex ideas across the board, all over social media. I decide to message a witch friend and see if she had any ideas. She suggested I call on Loki. Me… being me, thinks this is brilliant! Just the shenanigans he would love! I go to the store to buy some supplies to set up a small alter to attempt to communicate with him through. You know- green candle, some cinnamon incense, some jade. I came across a small chip of blue kyanite as well that I was very drawn to but not necessarily for me. I felt like I should give it to Loki and from what I remember reading about Loki is that he likes small trinkets and things of nonsense. I buy that too. Figured maybe he can cleanse himself with it after we do shenanigans if he agrees to work with me. Who doesn’t let friends shower at their homes? I get home and remember I had one more Redditor waiting for a tarot reading. I do the reading and send them their information. To close and cleanse my deck between readings I shuffle my cards after a reading. Here I am shuffling and boom! Two cards fly out!

The Star (r)- I need to not feel discouraged or despaired. I need to trust myself that I’m doing the right thing. 

9 of Swords- I need to muster up the courage and realize this might not be as bad as I think it is for me to be hexing the person I’m going to be hexing.

I stop in my tracks. Am I talking with the God of Mischief?! I didn’t set anything up that I had planned to. How in the world is this happening right now. Did I just seriously focus on him that much while talking with my friend and shopping for him? I decide to ask out loud. If this is Loki, the one and only, pull a Major Arcana card. If it is not then pull a Minor Arcana. I started to shuffle. Within moments of shuffling the Wheel of Fortune pops out. I pick it up thinking it was just one card. Oh no. Three cards were right behind it perfectly aligned to where you could not tell it was more than one card at all. I spread these three out and read the message attached to Loki’s “Yes” response.

Page of Swords- This card describes the God, himself! Cunning, curious, witty, and clever but has a slight lack in the maturity department.

3 of Wands: Tells me right this moment is not the time to do things by myself. Success will come with cooperation and collaboration. I have a great opportunity in front of me and I need to make the most of it. I also need to put my trust in him as well as be open to his ideas. 

2 of Wands: This is asking me to make a point blank decision on whether or not I’ll be taking Loki’s offer to work with him.

I decide WELL! If that ain’t a trick question if I ever heard one. What is a collaboration decision without discussing the terms… I ask if we can discuss terms and state if your answer is ‘yes’ pull a card in reverse, if ‘no’ pull one upright. I shuffle and no less than two seconds in a card  falls out in reverse. He is quick with his answers. 

I then realize I don’t know shit about making terms with a god because I’ve never worked with anyone other than the One High and Mighty. I don’t count talking to Metatron as technically ‘working’ with him. He is great. We have great conversations. He helps me. But there was never an instance like the one I’m about to embark on. I consider Metatron like a guardian angel since he sought me out and not vice versa. I asked if we can put this conversation off until I do some research on terms since I have no experience in it. I started to shuffle and IMMEDIATELY another card popped. It was a ‘yes’. I am officially in love with how much respect this god is showing me already. Then again, I did just go crazy looking for supplies just to even attempt to reach out with no real expectation of someone of his likeness to ever respond to me of all people. I told my friend about this whole conversation and I asked her how in the world would I summon him before I meant to summon him. She laughed at me and said I was talking to her about him earlier. She works with him. So... It was that simple. Now I need to research terms and conditions of working with gods so I can get this ball rolling!
