What if I told you I'm working on a Southern-inspired EP called 'magnolias'...

what if there was a trans Cinderella where the Evil Stepmother and stepsisters force Cinderella to live as a boy at home. maybe her dad and birth mother supported her transition, but the stepmother is a TERF or something and the stepsister steal all her feminine clothing and misgender her.

the Fairy Godmother lets her go to the ball as a girl which is why no one recognizes her. this literally happened to me at a Halloween party once, my friends didn't recognize me at first, so i think it could happen. maybe the stepsisters only see her from a distance or maybe its just a masquerade ball.

then, when the Prince tries to find the girl he danced with last night, no one in the entire Kingdom can match her shoe size (its too big instead of being too small) except for this one "boy" who looks oddly familiar. when Cinderella tries on the shoe, it fits and the Prince recognizes her. he leaves and returns with a ring.

the Prince proposes to Cinderella and demands that the Evil Stepmother and stepsisters stop misgendering her and let her live her life. Cinderella and the Prince go off to the castle together singing "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" and they all live happily ever after.

being not out at work is so funny bc sometimes customers will gender me correctly and a coworker or manager will get so upset about it.

like, a customer will come through the drive thru, hear my voice on the speaker and call me "ma'am", and i'm just thinking "cool, i'm making progress with vocal training 😊🌸", but my manager will be like "i can't believe they just disrespected you like that! you're not even gonna correct them?! this like the 3rd time today!!! 😡"
