A Love That Burned in Constellations

There was once a version of you

that I loved so deeply, I prayed for his joy

more than I prayed for mine.

I held him like a sky cradles stars

quiet, constant, eternal...

even when he turned into a storm

that forgot how to hold me right

I miss him..

not the one who watched me break and blinked,

but the one who used to flinch

at the thought of hurting me.
