Hunter glanced at Luz when she uttered those words that had so clearly swirled in her head for far too long. He furrowed his brows and looked away again. Was it a bad thing? Camila had told him to laugh, to smile, to be happy. But Camila didn't know what they left behind, and when he looked over at Luz and saw her despair, practically feeling her ache, he started to wonder if she had a point. Maybe it was all selfish.

He sighed and answered her as honestly as possible, (which was dissatisfactory even to him):

"I don't know."

Or,,,  Hunter’s been through a lot, and there’s never been a moment to breathe. Maybe being stuck in the human realm can give him that opportunity, however twisted it makes him feel. It's strange and unfamiliar having so many people care about him.
