Angel/Demon AU / @wolfstarmicrofic / 989 words
CW: sexual content, drugs & alcohol
Remus points a blessed sword against the side of the demon’s throat, eyes narrowed in his direction. He feels Minerva McGonagall’s divine energy as she apparates beside Remus.
“Leave her alone,” he warns in a low voice.
The demon, Sirius, slowly turns around with raised brows. Both Minerva and Remus scowl at him. Sirius had always been a threat to them. Always found a way to corrupt humans, especially the ones assigned to specific angels.
He always got his way.
“She isn’t doing anything she doesn’t want to,” he replies, unbothered about the divine beings in front of him. You’d need to be a major nuisance to have not one, but two angels corner you. And yet, he was indifferent.
Minerva steps forward, quiet and lethal. “You are encouraging a range of unhealthy activities. Drinking, drugs, luring her to this…” she scrunches her nose at the club they were standing outside of.
Sirius grins as if they’re all sharing a mutual joke. “I know, isn’t it fun?”
Minerva looks down her nose at him like he is nothing but filth. “She is under our guidance.”
“Is she?” Sirius asks innocently.
Marlene McKinnon stumbles out of the club in that moment, bottle in hand as she sings out of key. Remus doesn’t need to check to feel the drugs in her system.
Minerva thins her lips. They had lost another one. If there was one thing Remus knew very well, it was that angels were not as forgiving as humans made them out to be.
Remus redirects his sword so it’s right under Sirius’s chin, almost touching him before Sirius flinches away. Blessed weapons had the ability to injure a demon painfully. “You turn them all like you. You ruin everything good. Nothing thrives in your presence. You are a leach,” Remus hisses.
Sirius’s eyes flash in warning. “Careful, angel. Don’t forget I’m not above tearing the wings off your back.”
Minerva tenses and Remus can see her calculating. He knows she is thinking about killing him. He also knows that they’re both aware that they can’t. Not when Sirius belongs to a dangerous family. Killing him would cause a chain of events they didn’t want to deal with.
This is why Remus had come. To make sure someone didn’t die.
Another woman walks out of the club and makes her way to Marlene. Remus watches as she pulls her in for an embrace. Marlene grins up at her before leaning in for a deep kiss.
Minerva’s wings ruffle in agitation at the display.
A tremor goes through Remus’s own, for reasons other than annoyance.
“We will guide her back,” Minerva cautions, wings pulled tight. “Outside of drugs, you have nothing. You are nothing. She will come to the same realisation.”
Sirius glowers at her then directs it to Remus. “What makes you think I won’t torture him. He’s also nothing. There’d hardly be a consequence.”
That much was true. Minerva was more like Remus’s… mentor. She was a higher up. He was, well, replaceable.
She gives him a deadpan look. “I’ll kill you.”
With that, she disapparates.
Remus watches Sirius with stiff shoulders, feathers ruffling from anticipation. They stare at each other, both bracing for bloodshed.
They wait and wait and Remus realises no other angel is coming.
Sirius seems to realise it too.
He is on Remus in a second, hand on Remus’s throat to pin him against the wall. Remus lets out a grunt at the force as Sirius drops his hand to pin him by the hips instead. Remus shivers when he feels Sirius’s hot tongue sliding down his throat. His mouth opens instinctively and he tugs at Sirius’s hair to connect their mouths.
It should be mortifying how quickly that hot liquid of desire spreads through Remus. He is already moaning lightly against Sirius’s mouth, tugging, tugging, tugging to get him even closer.
“My beautiful angel,” Sirius whispers against him, leaving wet kisses across his jaw. Remus sighs contently, spreading his legs so Sirius can be between them. When that doesn’t feel close enough, he attempts to wrap his legs around the other’s waist. Sirius gets the message instantly and indulges him.
Remus loves the closeness.
“Have they been nice?” Sirius murmurs, still leaving kisses across his body.
Remus ignores him. “Stop stealing my humans. You’re going to make it obvious,” he breathes out shakily.
He feels Sirius grin against his throat. “No, they won’t suspect anything. We hate each other.”
Remus arches against him with a gasp when Sirius’s hand slips under his shirt and up his body. “Absolutely loathe each other,” Remus agrees breathily.
He holds Sirius close, deepening the kiss as Sirius tenderly strokes his wing.
“Missed you,” Remus mumbles and Sirius hums. “I missed you too, had to get your attention.”
Remus tries to pull back to give him a disapproving look but Sirius just leans in to kiss his furrowed eyebrows.
Remus gives up. “You’re going to leave traces of yourself on me.”
“I’ll wipe my aura off you,” Sirius mumbles, still peppering him with kisses anywhere he could reach.
“Oh,” a voice says. Remus pulls back to look at Marlene who begins to grin widely. “Fuck yeah Sirius, this is a win for the gays tonight.”
Sirius looks at her smugly as she drags her lover away, saying something about recreating what Sirius was doing. Remus is instantly curious about that interaction as it wasn’t common to directly interact with humans. Both Remus and Sirius were glamoured to look more human so she hadn’t seen the wings or horns.
Sirius mistakes the look on Remus’s face. “She’s fine, just partying,” he says, knowing Remus was still an angel at the end of the day.
Remus can’t even think to reply because Sirius is leaving love bites, pulling pleasurable sighs out of Remus and oh, does it feel lovely.
Sirius had won twice today.
Corruption, afterall, was his strongest ability.

Look, I love you, genuinely, but following you has become such a huge problem;
On one hand, the micro/mini fics you post are genuinely the BEST that I’ve ever found on here—They’re captivating, beautifully written, and I’m just overwhelmingly obsessed with them, and you as a writer.
BUT.
But, because of how aggressively, overwhelmingly, and flat out obscenely amazing these fics are, I’m left heartbroken EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I finish one, knowing that there’s no more of it for me to read😭
It’s cruel. You’re so lovely, yet so, so cruel to us😭😭
FIRSTLY, I love you too and appreciate you sending an ask
This is honestly the nicest thing ever and I’m so glad you are liking the microfics. I feel for you about wanting writers to continue and expand on their microfics 😭
And I blame YOU 🫵 guys. I’m so busy right now but somehow I keep posting the stories. It’s because you guys are so nice with your comments, likes, asks etc 😤
But thank you you for the support, truly ❤️

Assassin AU / @wolfstarmicrofic / 874 words
CW: sexual conversation
“You look bored, how about I take you to bed instead?” Sirius whispers in Remus’s ear.
Remus jolts, spinning to look at Sirius with wide eyes. Sirius suppresses a smirk.
Sirius had been hired to kill Lyall Lupin’s son, Remus Lupin, and he was going to be paid a hefty amount for it.
He knew that Lyall worked at the ministry. This wasn’t the first time he’d been hired to kill one of its members. His client harboured strong animosity towards Lyall and wanted to kill his son out of spite. That made Sirius’s job easier. Killing an important government official was always a hassle. He’s sure mini Lupin would have become just like his father anyway.
Sirius completed his assassinations in various ways depending on the context. Sometimes he’d go to their homes and kill them directly. Other times he’d poison them. His favourite technique, however, was to seduce them. It left them vulnerable and unassuming.
Sirius had been watching Remus the past hour to get an impression of him. So far, the man seemed reserved and awkward. Sirius decided on his seduction technique because Remus kept glancing at him and Sirius knew what those looks meant.
Remus’s entire face goes red at his words and he stutters unintelligibly. Eventually he laughs nervously and Sirius takes that as cue to lean towards him.
Remus shoots his hands up to stop Sirius from moving, hands on Sirius’s chest.
Perhaps Sirius had read him wrong. He looks into the other’s eyes to get a better feel of the situation. Remus’s eyes were still wide but he looked innocently confused.
“Unless you prefer the old fashioned way where I take you out first,” Sirius says, undeterred.
“I— oh god,” Remus replies, “I’m so bad at this, please don’t put me on the spot.”
This pulls a surprised laugh out of Sirius. “No need to be nervous, I can lead and take control,” he says with heavy implication.
Remus wets his lips, eyes darting around before they fall to his feet. He drops his hands to his sides.
He says nothing.
Doubt creeps into Sirius. Had he read the situation wrong? Was Sirius not what Remus wanted? It left him feeling unnerved and slightly agitated.
“Not interested, then?” Sirius asks calmly.
Remus continues avoiding his eyes, face flushed. “I am so terribly embarrassed,” he responds softly.
Understanding dawns on him and Sirius has to bite down on his lip. “One of the shy ones?”
Remus’s eyes flicker up at him then back down. “Unfortunately.”
Sirius leans against the bar, remaining close to the other. “It’s alright, I’m good at coaxing eye contact when I’m sleeping with someone. I’ll reward you with lots of praise, I promise.”
Remus chokes and snaps his head up to Sirius, his eyes going impossibly wide. “You—“ He takes a deep, shaky breath. “You can’t just— say things like that.”
Sirius pushes his tongue against the inside of his cheek, trying to hide his smile. He was leaning into his role as the seducer but it came easily to him. Remus was someone he would have slept with outside of work. Sirius’s eyes linger on his lips and he watches Remus swallow nervously at Sirius’s attention.
Remus’s breaths were coming out short, mouth slightly open and skin flushed.
Sirius moves to gently pull him in by the waist. “Don’t you want to taste me?”
His eyes flutter shut and he groans in response.
To Sirius, it was the sound of victory.
“I— Please,” he breathes out.
“Good boy,” Sirius murmurs, fingers rubbing delicate circles on his waist. “That’s it.”
Remus opens his eyes and Sirius is thrown off-kilter at the tender gaze. “I can’t. I want it— badly, but my father won’t allow it.”
Sirius blinks. His curiosity ignited. “Why not?”
Remus glances away bitterly. “He doesn’t want anyone to see me.”
This answers nothing and leaves Sirius with more questions. Seeing this, Remus offers him a kind smile. “Thank you for the offer, you’re quite gorgeous.”
Sirius feels a bit tingly. He won’t lie and say he wasn’t intrigued (in more ways than one) but he had a job to do. He didn’t need to seduce Remus to be able to kill him.
Someone pulls Remus rather harshly out of his grip. Sirius looks at Lyall Lupin’s sour expression.
“I’ve finished discussing with the others. Let’s go.” His hand is firm on Remus’s shoulder.
Skilled in picking up pieces of information, Sirius’s eyes cut to where a small group of men are leaving the bar. His gaze comes back to Lyall who is scowling at him while sending concerned looks to his son. Remus isn’t looking at either of them.
Sirius takes in Remus’s scars and he feels like he is seeing him for the first time. The scars closely resembled the ones his current client had.
The puzzle started forming in Sirius’s mind. It was just out of reach.
Lyall protectively pulls Remus away and Remus sends Sirius a mournful look.
Yes, it looked like Lyall was harbouring a secret regarding his son and Sirius would be damned if he didn’t figure it out. He had a feeling it had everything to do with the man that hated Lyall.
Fenrir Greyback.

Hi, thank you for the ask!
All my works are in my pinned post. Although, the wips I mentioned are sitting in my google docs because I only want to post them if I’ve completed them :) (to avoid abandonment and to be able to go back and edit stuff)
The current wip I’m working on has siren Sirius and he is vicious and lethal ((i’d let him tear my throat out with his sharp teeth)) I have some others but they’re on a pause while I work through this one
I can’t think of any recs right now! I usually avoid angsty fics (hypocrite)

Dark AU / @wolfstarmicrofic / 312 words
CW: violence, cruel characters
Remus watches without feeling as Sirius is forced onto his knees, wrists tied behind his back. He breathes heavily, blood dripping down his nose. The corner of his mouth was stained with blood.
“Bring him with us,” Remus’s voice calls out and Sirius snarls silently at the other werewolves who move towards him. He directs his expression towards Remus who is standing next to Greyback.
Their expressions are carbon copies of each other and Sirius lets out a sharp, cruel laugh. He had trained Remus well.
Remus’s brow twitches at the abrupt laugh. “Don’t make this harder for yourself. You’ve already lost.”
“Go to hell.” Sirius spits blood onto the ground.
Remus gives one curt nod in response.
When someone tries to haul him up, Sirius sinks his teeth into their arm. They cry out in anger and reel their fist back to strike Sirius in the nose again and again. Sirius chokes on another bloody laugh.
Remus does nothing. Sirius knew. He knew something had changed in Remus in the two years that he’d been missing. When they found each other again, he was a shadow of his past self. He kept the same face but the detached expression wasn’t his. Those empty, soulless eyes weren’t his. Not his Remus’s.
And now the pack was hunting down the purebloods, destroying them one family at a time.
“Don’t be difficult, Padfoot.”
“No.” Sirius shakes his head, struggling to breathe on the ground. “No. You don’t get to call me that anymore. You will never be allowed to call me that again.” His eyes sting and burn with emotion. With betrayal. With grief. With anger. With hatred. With remnants of love.
Remus doesn’t even bat an eye. Feels nothing. “Alright, Sirius.”
Greyback places a hand on his arm and Remus turns to walk away. The signal to be silent. His little pet dog.

Omg are you considering expanding King Sirius to a full fic? 👀👀 It is perfect as-is but holy shit the possibilities 😳
JFBSJDB I thought of this fic idea weeeksss ago and spent hours at night just daydreaming and plotting it. I didn’t turn it into a full fic because I already have so many long fics I’m working on 😭
I wish I could just take the idea out of my head and show you because the toxicity? The drama?? Angst?? The eventual possessiveness and yearning?? Had me foaming at the mouth
Thank you for showing your interest!!

AU where Sirius is a king and Remus is brought in as a prisoner
TW: violence, slightly toxic characters
Remus swallowed down vomit as he moved jerkily with each press of the silver spears against his back. The king’s men didn’t even have to physically touch him to hurt him. They could burn him just by placing their spears close enough to his body.
His wrists were shackled with silver in front of him. Each time his wrists moved, it sent waves of fiery anguish through him. The only reason he stayed upright was to avoid a spear in his back.
People nearby gasped and moved backwards when they saw him. Remus isn’t sure if they’ve put it together that he is a werewolf or if they think he is some dangerous criminal being guided by soldiers. Most people knew nothing about werewolves, just that they were lethal murderers.
Remus had never murdered anyone.
He’d never even hurt anyone. He made sure he couldn’t.
But the king’s soldiers were always on the hunt for dark creatures and they had located him through his howls of pain. The men sighted him just as he was turning back into his human self. They almost made Remus walk naked until he heard them say that they didn’t want to disturb the general public. After weakening him with silver they decided to bring him directly to the King. Remus doesn’t know if it’s for imprisonment, execution, study or torture.
When they reached the gates, the guards stationed there gave them all doubtful looks but let them through.
“We’ll keep it in the prisons under the castle until King Sirius is made aware of this discovery,” one of the men said in a gruff voice.
Belatedly, Remus realised they were talking about him.
“It will be well contained,” another added.
Remus discreetly eyes his surroundings. The halls were littered with large works of art and the chandeliers made his eyes go wide at the beautiful complexity.
They are intercepted a few minutes later. A young, lean man with curly dark hair strided towards them and frowned through his glasses. Remus knew immediately by his neat and regal attire that he was someone important. Was this the King?
“Explain what I’m looking at,” he demanded with clear disapproval. Remus’s eyes flickered restlessly towards him.
The guard made a respectable gesture before signalling to Remus. “This one is off to the prisons until the King gives orders on what to do with it.”
The wealthy man furrows his brows, looking directly at Remus. Remus looks at his feet because he was not used to people staring at him without recoiling away. Remembering himself, he looked into the other’s eyes.
“Does the King know of this?”
“Not yet.”
Agitation passed the man's face and he began walking away, urgency in his steps. “You will follow me.”
“My lord—“ the guard began but thought better of it. They poked Remus with the spears, making him hiss out in pain and stumble in the Lord's direction.
Two people opened double sided doors for the unnamed Lord and the rest of them. Remus felt the guards around him hesitate but they didn’t dare question the Lord with glasses.
“Sirius,” the Lord snapped and Remus flinched at his tone.
Remus quickly understood the hesitancy around him when he walked into what appeared to be the throne room. There sat a man with long jet black hair. Stomach giving out on him, he realised the ornament on his head labelled him as a King.
King Sirius.
Fuck.
Reflexively, he tried to pull back and this time somebody really did stab his spine. He muffled a moan and stumbled forward on uneven footing.
“Here is yet another one,” the Lord spoke without waiting for acknowledgement. “Starving probably. Is it really fair to throw a young man like this into the prisons? He is hurt, Sirius.”
Given the informal use of the King’s name, the Lord must be very close to him. Unless he was stupid.
The King didn’t bother to look at anyone but the Lord who spoke.
“Another complaint?” the King asked warily, a half smile playing on his lips.
His companion huffed and gestured aggressively to Remus. Remus shrunk back. He was pinned down by grey eyes and Remus knew from his eyes alone that the King was someone resilient, fierce, and merciless.
“My King, this is not another thief situation,” the guard behind Remus argued.
Remus braced himself for the reveal.
“It’s a werewolf. We were taking it down to be restrained but Lord James insisted we come here.”
King Sirius and Lord James stared at Remus sharply. Remus is sure he looked a mess with his hunched shoulders and defensive body language. Even with the declaration, their faces were almost impassive.
The King leaned back on his throne in a casual and aloof manner. “That’s no werewolf. It’s merely a man.” He gives them all loathsome looks. “Have you come to waste my time? Are my men truly so dim they cannot recognise a bloodthirsty wolf from a man?”
For a moment, the King is met with shocked silence.
“My King,” a different guard starts uncertainly, “rest assured this is a werewolf. We found him in his cursed form and waited to bring him like this.”
Lord James visually tensed at that, eyes scanning Remus up and down. The King appeared to be doing the same.
“You’re certain?” King Sirius asked. Remus’s wide eyes drew to him solely and they held eye contact. Remus wondered what the King saw when he looked at Remus who was wearing the King’s official colours because the guards didn't want to bring him in bare.
“Most certainly,” came the reply, sounding calmer. “We’ve weakened it with silver so you needn’t be afraid of harm. We will take our leave while you decide what to do with it.”
Remus didn’t ignore the way they only referred to him as an it.
King Sirius held up a hand to stop them just as Lord James opened his mouth angrily. “This is a boy. How is he a boy?” the King asked.
The question confused Remus. When the others don’t reply, he addresses Remus specifically. “You. Explain it to me.”
Remus startled. Had the King really addressed him?
“I would not waste my breath,” the same guard said. “It cannot speak English.”
The King looked disappointed. Seeing his window closing, Remus rushed to say something.
“Untrue, I can speak English.” His voice was hoarse from the previous night of screaming.
The knights around him stiffened and the air became cold and unwelcome. At all the hard stares, Remus worsened it by speaking because he never worked well under pressure. “I can read and write too.”
His body hit the marble floor roughly when somebody from behind kicked him down. The shackles on his wrist moved terribly with the movement, causing him to wheeze out in pain.
“Do not lie to the King,” the guard snapped and held Remus’s head down with his boot.
Remus groaned, regretting everything. He should have let them continue thinking he was a daft, witless creature. They never once asked him to speak when they found him and Remus was too scared to talk to them. He knew they looked down on the poor and the cursed.
“Is that necessary?” came Lord James’s voice, tinged with alarm. Remus heard footsteps approaching.
“Its looks are deceiving. It looks like a man but is not one. Don’t waste your concern on it.”
Remus didn’t move an inch. He was not going to do anything that would endanger him quicker.
“Remove your foot off him.”
Remus swallowed thickly at the sound of King Sirius’s voice. Still unreadable in his emotions.
“Sire—“
“Do not make me repeat myself. I am agitated as it is.”
The foot leaves his head but still Remus does not move. He hears more footfalls and prays the King isn’t coming his way to behead him. He catches sight of his shoes near his face.
“Rise.”
Remus hesitates and after a moment of contemplation he hesitates again. Very slowly, he raises his head a fraction, afraid he is going to kick Remus’s teeth in.
The King only looks at him with something resembling curiosity. He is at least pleased that Remus stays close to the ground in a non threatening manner. It does nothing to ease the others.
“As I asked before, how are you a man?”
Remus does not reply. Instead he watches the King, eyes glued on his face for signs of incoming violence.
“Do you have a name?”
No response.
“Can you only speak a bit of English?”
Remus’s eyes flicker behind him at the guards.
“Ah,” the King says with realisation. “They are not allowed to stop you from conversing with me. Speak.”
He continues to say nothing.
He almost wasn’t surprised when a knight stomps on his spine. Remus cries out as his burns rub against his shirt and the offending boot. A sob leaves his mouth and he fails to hold in a whimper. He lets his head stay on the ground. If they were going to kill him, let them. He was too tired to be tortured.
“How dare you,” Lord James bristles, facing his fears and walking closer to Remus. “Get back,” he snaps when they try to shield him from Remus.
“You hurt him for speaking and then hurt him for not speaking,” comes the King’s cold reply. “Do not interfere again or I will spike your skulls on the gates.”
The ice in his voice makes Remus shiver.
“Stand, Lycanthrope.”
Unsteadily, Remus does as he says. When he is on his feet, his upper body is hunched again from the burning sensation. The King’s eyes fall to his burnt and shackled wrists but says nothing.
For awhile, all three of them stare at each other. At first, Remus is met with detached looks from both the royal men. Then, they regard him with a look almost akin to pity.
Lord James side eyes King Sirius.
Remus’s head drops. He knows they are not impressed with what they see. The loathed lycanthrope. A scrawny young man. The horrors.
Another tense silence passes before Lord James can’t hold himself. “Surely you can’t kill him. Look at him. He’s….”
The King sighs. “He’s a danger, James.”
Remus already had no hope of surviving this, but this killed him further.
King Sirius takes a step closer to Remus and everyone, including Remus, freezes. This time, nobody tries to second guess the King. He takes another and another step until he is right up against Remus.
Remus looks anywhere but at him, feeling caged and very small in his commanding presence.
“This thing…” he begins, “like a puppy. Mutt. This is a werewolf?”
Remus’s stomach churns with anxiety. What would he do to him?
“My King,” a guard warns in a strained tone.
“You’ve frightened it,” is all King Sirius says.
Taking a risk Remus finds stupid, he tilts Remus’s head up with a strong hand. Remus’s eyes widen and his body aches from how still he tries to hold himself without shaking. Touching a werewolf was inexplicable. Nobody would go anywhere near a werewolf, let alone talk to or lay a hand on one without the intention to kill.
His brows raise at Remus, studying him. “Submissive.”
Remus is shocked at the word that leaves the King's mouth but knows it’s because he is viewed as nothing more than a wild dog. A skinny and petrified one at that.
Lord James moves slowly to stand next to the king, a frown upon his face again. “Sirius,” he begins, “this is unsafe.”
The King doesn’t remove his eyes from Remus, insisting on trapping him in his gaze. “You wanted me to show mercy,” he states.
“That was before—“ Lord James huffs, running a hand through his hair. “You’re too close. He may bite.”
Horrifyingly, this makes the King tilt his head with curiosity. “Is it true that you can only spread your curse on the full moon?”
When nobody answers, Remus gives a small nod of his head.
“You can turn into a man?”
Remus bites off his angry words. King Sirius’s eyes gleam. “Go on, permission to bite— verbally, that is.”
Remus doesn’t go for the bait. His shoulders fall a bit and the other clicks their tongue. He had no reason to be displeased by Remus’s lack of anger.
“Refusing to answer will get anybody in trouble, regardless of who they are. Can you turn into a man?” he asks again.
“I am a man,” Remus whispers.
He hears no reply.
King Sirius is amused, curious, and disbelieving all at once. He grabs Remus’s chin to tilt his face left and right, looking for signs of animalistic features. His gaze snags on a few wounds Remus knows are there and Remus swallows thickly. Nervousness thrums through his system, making his heart race. The King’s gaze falls to his wrists again but doesn’t make the command to release him.
“I think you will teach me a lot of things, Lycanthrope,” he says softly.
Dread pools in Remus’s gut.
He’d be kept for study then. There was no gaurantee that torture would not be involved, especially because the King would not be prepared for how stubborn and unwilling Remus was going to be.

[Remus’s Pov]
A broken moan leaves Sirius’s mouth.
He cannot see anything but he can feel the way his body burns. Every breath he takes sends an ache through him.
Sirius can feel the soothing balm of magic over his body and he forces one eye to open.
“It’ll be done in a minute dear,” a feminine voice says to him.
He groans again, relishing in the healing being done to his body.
What prank had he pulled to get him hurt like this? He wondered if James and Peter were nearby. Sirius sits upright, wincing as he does. A dark liquid is handed to him and he sniffs at the strong scent of chocolate coming from it.
“You’ve had a bad moon. What’s this about, Remus?”
Sirius blinks blearily at Madam Pomfrey while he drinks the delicious potion.
“Bad moon?” he asks.
Remus? He knows who Remus Lupin is. His eyes catch on the quiet boy often. He tells himself it’s because Remus is friends with James’s crush, Lily.
Sirius never directed a prank at Remus and even discouraged it when Peter suggested it. Remus was far too kind and undeserving for it.
“It’s that wretched boy, isn’t it?” she asks. “He’s on your mind.”
Sirius has no idea what she’s talking about. He looks down at his body and startles at the bloody gauze wrapped around him. His heart races as he takes in the jagged claw and bite marks and notices that his skin looks different, littered with freckles.
He brings his attention up his arm and to his shoulder where an old white scar sits.
Sirius had studied enough about dark creatures to know what that bite mark was. His mouth falls open in shock.
Had he been bit by a fucking werewolf?
He didn’t recall this at all.
Sirius rolls out of bed and crumples to the ground with a muffled sound. Madam Pomfrey starts scolding him but he picks up a small mirror on the side table and looks at himself.
For a moment, he looks confused at who he is looking at.
“Mr Lupin, please,” she huffs and gently tugs him by the elbow. In the back of his mind, he understands. But in his dizzy state he can only follow the healer back to bed and stare at the ceiling with his thoughts racing.
Absurdly, he thinks this is some dream. Or a peek into Remus’s memory. He also considers this being a prank but thinks James wouldn’t go this far.
“How’d I get here?” he rasps cautiously.
“I carried you from the shrieking shack. Drink this.”
His mind swirls but he accepts the drink. If this was real, how was he in Remus’s body? He was ignoring the fact he was a werewolf. Remus Lupin, a quiet rule follower, a werewolf.
Sirius laughs through his nose.
Of course he fucking was. Him and all his little secrets. An unassuming man tricking them all.
Sirius feels a bit stupid for not making the connection earlier. All those sick days, the way the professors didn’t care if he was late. Sirius had assumed it was because they adored him as a teacher's pet. Even now, the healer referred to Remus by his first name and knew about his condition.
Sleepily he wondered if Lily Evans knew.
His body and mind seem to shut down. His head was aching even with the second potion Madam Pomfrey had given him. It was still early in the morning, so he would let Remus’s body rest and heal. Later, he would get up and find out what was happening.
Images of Remus’s soft, doe-like brown eyes flashes through his mind. He thinks of the phrase, wolf in sheep's clothing. But Sirius couldn’t see him as anything other than the sheep even after knowing about his lycanthropy. Remus’s personality, at least, was real.
Bloody werewolf.
If he wanted to take a rain check from pain today, he could have just asked Sirius.
Sirius feels a sting of agitation as he realises that all the professors knew about his condition and let him bleed out in the shrieking shack every month.
Bloody adults.
With thoughts of Remus Lupin swirling in his mind, he let his mind drift off to sleep. For Remus’s sake.
When Sirius woke up hours later, he beelined for the dining hall. His eyes were locked on his usual spot where his friends were sitting and mucking around.
No matter what body, Remus was still Remus. He was scrunched up and biting his lip anxiously as he eyed Sirius’s friends as if they were the wolves.
Sirius rolled his eyes dramatically.
For someone who kept his condition secret from everyone, he was awful at pretending everything was fine.
Honestly, how hadn’t anyone figured it out sooner?

Bodyguard AU / @wolfstarmicrofic / 236 words
“Reckless, daft fool,” Sirius snapped.
Remus snorted despite himself. It was endearing to see his bodyguard get so worked up over his safety. Sometimes unwarranted, sometimes warranted.
This time it was warranted after Remus had caused conflict in Sirius’s brief absence. In his defence, three knights had bad-mouthed Sirius and Remus had been too angry to remember he was a poor fighter. In the end, Sirius had interfered and Remus walked out with no bruises. Sirius’s current irritated expression brought a sense of amusement to Remus.
“Do you care about me?” he teased.
Sirius glowered at him. “There is nothing more I'd like to do than shove this sword through your abdomen.”
A smile stretches across Remus’s face and he takes a step closer. His bodyguard watches him warily and Remus unsheathes his sword to point it at his own stomach.
“Go on, then,” he says. “Satisfy your urge.”
Sirius’s fingers twitch as if he was really considering it just for that. His face did eventually break into a scowl and Remus threw his head back in a laugh, feeling overjoyed at such a small thing.
“Careful, I might think you’re in love with me,” Remus continued. He loved messing with him, if only to see that sour look almost always directed at him and solely him.
Sirius smooths his expression out and brushes invisible lint off his clothes. “Then that’d make you irrational and misguided.”

Bodyswap AU / @wolfstarmicrofic / 976 words
Remus should have known something was wrong.
He woke up feeling refreshed and strong which was unlikely after a full moon. When he inspected his arms he knew something bad had happened. There were no scars from the bites he had given himself last night. Along with this, he could see black hair falling down his shoulders.
He scrambled out of his warm bed to the closest mirror in the odd room he had woken up in.
Remus skidded to a halt when he was face to face with Sirius Black, looking at him with wild eyes and a heaving chest.
Remus’s mind ran with all sorts of horrible thoughts before he decided the mirror was cursed.
That was until he remembered he could literally see the difference in his body.
Spiralling with paranoia, Remus leaned against the mirror and stared at the wide, light grey eyes looking back in terror. Not an expression he has ever seen on Sirius.
It hits Remus coldly when he remembers Snape’s threat from the beginning of the week about how he was going to make Remus regret it when Remus told the headmaster that Snape found out his secret and was going to out him. Obviously, Dumbledore forbade it and Snape was left restless and bitter.
But this?
Turning Remus into the most popular boy, one he hardly knew, was ridiculous and futile. He changed Remus’s appearance, so what? At least now he was temporarily hot.
Remus evened out his breathing. This was fine. He would fix this before classes started. He leaned his back against the mirror and looked around the room. He took in the music posters and the way the room had unfamiliar things scattered around.
Worse, he saw James Potter blinking blearily from his own bed. Remus froze, thinking for the first time that maybe this wasn’t some type of fucked up polyjuice potion and that perhaps Snape had discovered a way to swap his body with someone elses.
The blatant reason blares through his mind. It was so someone else would take in their wounds and make the connection that Remus was a werewolf.
His hands began to shake. Who was he swapped with? Snape? Mulciber? Definitely with someone out to get him.
He’d run to the infirmary to see if he was right. As he darted to the door, James intercepted him. Remus hadn’t realised he had gotten up.
“Where are you off too? You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” he yawned.
Don’t reply, don’t reply, don’t reply.
What would Sirius say?
Sirius.
Where was Sirius?
It dawned on Remus that Snape had probably swapped his body with Sirius’s. Somehow, that was almost worse. His eyes fluttered shut.
“Nowhere,” he breathed.
Remus could not get rid of Sirius’s friends. They followed him everywhere and always pestered him with conversation. He was gnawing on a fork by lunch because he hadn’t seen Sirius all day and couldn’t visit the infirmary alone.
He could burst into tears from anxiety.
Surely, if things were horrible, a professor would have pulled him aside.
The more he waited, the more his paranoia grew. He couldn’t hide it from Sirius’s friends who watched him like hawks but didn’t press after how stressed he’d been the first time they tried.
“Can I sit here?” a voice asked from behind.
Remus stiffened, knowing that voice intimately. James and Peter looked curiously at the speaker. Slowly, Remus turned around, feeling faint and pale.
His own face stared at him with a raised brow. Sirius looked sickly in his body but he hid his pain well. Not waiting for his response, he flopped down next to Remus.
“Looking good, by the way.”
Remus cringed into himself and Sirius kicked him sharply under the table. Remus flinched. “Ah— thank you? I mean, I know.”
Sirius gave him a very unimpressed look with Remus’s evaluation of him. Remus chewed on his bottom lip, drawing Sirius’s gaze to it. Right, of course. He wasn’t in his own body. It was surreal to see himself sitting next to him with expressions he didn’t usually make. Those at least screamed Sirius Black.
Fortunately, Sirius ignored his usual group of friends who gawked openly. Remus didn’t know what he’d do if he went into his usual chatter with the boys. He could see that Sirius’s temperament today was reserved and displeased.
Sirius side eyed him. “Can I ask why?”
Remus looked at him with despair, this wasn’t his doing at all. “Snape,” he answered mournfully.
Sirius looked past him to glare hatefully at the Slytherin table. The snarl on his face was the harshest expression Remus had ever seen. “Stupid fucking cunt,” he snapped.
Remus jolted, not expecting it. He started worrying that Sirius was very unhappy to be in a werewolf’s body. He obviously knew what Remus was by now, especially if he spoke to Madam Pomfrey.
“Cruel, tactless, piece of shit,” Sirius listed with agitation. James and Peter stared at him with eyes wide with shock and glee. They would surely harass him later with gratitude. Brilliant.
“Let’s go to Mada—“ Sirius’s eyes flicker to his friends. “Miss McGonagall wants to talk to us about doing study sessions together.”
Remus caves in on himself. He was going to be in so much shit. He irrationally thought of Aurors waiting for him outside.
Sirius places a hand gently on his own and Remus looks into his kind eyes. “Hey, you’re alright, I promise. I’m going to fix this.” He casts another venomous look at the Slytherin table. “And I’m going to fucking kill him.”
Remus holds his breath. Perhaps, their shared hatred of Snape would save him. He lets Sirius tug him out of his chair and doesn’t let go of his hand, clasping it tightly for support. In response, Sirius rubs a thumb soothingly over it.
