incredible fic, very well written and near painfully in character imo. an exploration of damian joining the waynes and how his past and current traumas affect him. heavily consider whether you can stomach reading about sexual assault in this manner. but if you can, this fic shot me dead and brought me back, over and over. as someone who has some personal experiences i wont get into, this fic hit very close to home. it was a painful read but a very good one, and i recommend it to those that want angst and HURTHURTHURT/comfort.

Do you think… Paul was actually…the mayor? Now hear me out! He loves hatchetfield more than anyone, and knows it better than anyone. He’s kind of a natural leader in TGWDLM and has the inclination to want to save people at the end of the day. hes also kind of an asshole like most political figures and doesnt always know the right thing to say.

but because Lauter got ahold of the black book, a spell was cast to make him the mayor instead. Thats why paul never left hatchetfield and why he seemingly doesnt have any wants (his purpose was taken from him), and why he has no backstory (again, it was taken from him)
