PSA: Do y’all remember when we created the DCDP tags so you could stop overwhelming the Danny Phantom feed? If not, here’s a passive aggressive reminder to STOP TAGGING DANNY PHANTOM IN YOUR POSTS!!!!!! It’s a fandom tag, not a character tag- people coming to the DANNY PHANTOM TAG want to see DANNY PHANTOM content, NOT DC CONTENT!!!

This is not a ‘wHy nOt jUsT bLocK iT?’ Moment. I promise you, I have. But DCDP is big enough that it is its own fandom, and Danny Phantom fans cannot go seven posts without having your stuff shoved down their throats or getting filtered banners popping up in their face, and it’s annoying.

DCDP is irrelevant to Danny Phantom 98% of the time. By which I mean you’re basically using another fandom’s concepts as your OCs for the DC universe- and it’s not allowing a fandom to enjoy their own series and characters in their actual context, and it’s RUDE.

I will be the bad guy and step up and say that it’s rude. I am not one who likes to make posts that make me an asshole, but if the idea of people blocking me for my opinions is exciting then you know there’s a problem, because at least then my dashboard will be clear.

And YOU KNOW ITS RUDE and don’t care, which makes Danny Phantom fans way more likely to want to block your content anyways so why?! And I don’t mean filter, I mean I and several others are literally a millisecond away from blocking every user who Posts DCDP stuff because it’s so en masse and irrelevant. - And that sucks, because I am a comic enthusiast who loves DC, and I love Danny Phantom, but they are two different series and their fandoms should be allowed to have their own spaces where they can enjoy head canons and canon content in their own established worlds with their own side characters.

I don’t hate crossovers, but this is not cute in this capacity and you know it because the sheer quantity is its own separate entity at this point. I would be hardcore willing to bet that many people don’t even have a first experience with the series on its own without this crossover on the brain because we are choking on it. I’m not even someone who worships canon, but come on, let us BREATHE.

You are suffocating and massacring a small fandom for a cancelled series that has been hanging on by its bloody fingernails and nostalgia for 20 years, and it’s fucking obnoxious. I can’t even favorite the main tag for one of my favorite series because I will get the wrong content and it SUCKS. Genuinely.

(Side note, have you seen AO3 lately? Where the hell are the Danny Phantom Fics? It’s insane. This is like invasion of the body snatchers but instead DP content is being slowly wiped from existence by DC under its own fandom tag. It’s almost demoralizing but at least we can actually filter there.)

No ifs, ands or buts. No ‘oh this is DP adjacent so I should tag it.’ No ‘This has this character so I should tag it.’ NO. This is not a cute crossover moment. STOP. FOR. THE. LOVE. OF. GOD. USING DANNY PHANTOM TAGS. USE THE DPXDC TAGS!!!

Down with Bruce Wayne not being able to cook. That headcanon doesn’t make sense. He’s Batman. He trained with anyone and everyone and is a brilliant chemist. People who can’t cook don’t know how to follow instructions properly or haven’t watched an easy YouTube video to figure out what to do. Simple as that. If you think this man, who is a borderline superhuman at chemistry, doesn’t know cook????

Bruce Wayne is a great cook. He can create incredible dishes and has easily enough knowledge to know proper substitutions for ingredients to make what he’s cooking still turn out great. He knows flavor profiles and how to mix them to create complex flavors and unique yet delicious flavor combos.

What you’re thinking of is Bruce Wayne’s performance as special guest and judge on the hit cooking competition tv show “Nailed It!” Starring host Nicole Byer, co host Jacques Torres, and assistant director Weston “Wes” Bahr.

You know, that one episode where the Gothamite billionaire managed to mess up his baking in the most bizarre ways imaginable. End results so absurd that it borderlined on parody. Understandable enough mistakes that it’s believable but mistakes that perfectly altered the dish in such a way that it created the worst possible ever version of the dish.

Fanfiction Club: The Rules

This idea came to me when I woke up first thing this morning.

I want more Dad!Tim stuff. (And once again a deaged Danny and Ellie idea)

So let's go do that.

So you know those DPxDC AUs where Tim makes a deal with either Clockwork or Danny to carry Ellie? Or Tim is a reborn Danny whose carrying Ellie instead (love these first btw) in order to get Bruce out of the time stream.

Well what about instead of just Ellie, it's both her and Danny.

Danny and Ellie who were badly hurt by the GIW that they both had to revert into their cores. They are saved by their friends/family and are taken to Frostbite. There they are monitored and looked after only until they can finally the reform but they run into a problem. The two can't return to their home dimension due to the GIW activity and they cant stay to long in the Infinite Realms cause they are still halfas. Then one day CW appears to speak with Frostbite over something important about the two.

Meanwhile in the DCverse.

Tim might have figured a way to save Bruce from the timestream. A being known as Clockwork might be able to help him if he manages to summon the powerful 'Ancient'.

However he knows summoning and requesting it's help he will have to pay a price.

If it means getting Bruce back he'll do it...

what's that one thing where they asked how ripely from alien was so realistic and believable as a female character in scifi for once and they were like "well we just took the dude from the original script and made him a girl and changed nothing else. it works bc men and women are the same?" and people were like "woah no way" and then didn't learn anything from that for 20 years

something I think we all know about fanfic, but don’t talk about because it would hurt writers feelings is that some fics are like fast food. I mean this as a compliment. I don’t always want to sit down for a six course meal that will be a flavor experience. Sometimes I just wanna dip some fries in a frosty. Sometimes I want something homecooked and delicious and super niche, but super comforting. Sometimes I want to eat an entire dark chocolate cheesecake in one sitting even though I know Its gonna make me sick. Just. holy crap, y’all. Sometimes I don’t even want fast food, I just want to eat an entire bag of chips. and yeah, I’m ashamed of myself afterwards, but at the time it was exactly what I wanted. So, no, we’re never going to say to our fanfic writers that we consider their writing to be the equivalent of a midnight run to taco bell - and we shouldn’t, feelings would be hurt by that. But writers, please, please, please, remember this. You don’t need to create a six course meal if you don’t want to. You don’t have to make something complex and homemade if you don’t want to. You don’t even have to finish cooking it - because someone will be thrilled that you brought a bowl of cookie dough and a spoon, because they cannot even consider sitting down and having a proper meal right now. It’s okay writers, whatever you decided to make. Someone was happy to have it. You gave them what they needed. You made them happy. You did good.

So we joke about how Tim never ages and it's very popular to whumpify Tim in Fandom.

I am imagining a curse where Tim stopped aging because everyone forgot his birthday. Before somebody remembered. They were early or late but they remembered eventually.

But this year, everyone forgot. There wasn't even a whisper or mention of it. And he won't age until someone remembers again.
