Interactive Ficlets!

How it will work:

I write a mini story. A ficlet, shall we say. A little baby fic! 😊 So cute, it hasn't grown up yet. And then YOU, through poll, decide what happens next, and I write it.

Let's get started!

"Hey House," Wilson greets, swinging into the glass wallet office. "A new place around the corner from me just opened," he says, flopping into the chair behind House’s office. "Ya wanna go tonight?"

House, lounging behind his desk as usual, his feet on his desk, hisses through his teeth, "I'm gonna have to raincheck there Wilson. I promised 13 that I'd hit up a bi bar with her tonight. She's determined to fine me a, quote, 'delicious man dish'," House puts air quotes around this and rolls his eyes.

Wilson, meanwhile, blinks in surprise, "del...House, you're not into men!"

House looks genuinely baffled as his head cocks backwards in surprise, like Wilson has stunned him with his ignorance, "yes I am."

"Nooo, you're not," Wilson insists. Looking annoyed, House maneuvers his bad leg down off the desk. With both feet now on the floor, House reaches into his jeans pocket and hoists his phone out of his pocket. Aggressively, he begins swiping through it. "What are you looking for?" Wilson frowns, baffled.

"Shush!" House orders, rather sharply, and Wilson decides to shut up. For about two minutes, House, nibbling the inside of his mouth, keeps flicking through the phone angrily until he cries, "ah ha!" Smugly, he turns the phone to show Wilson, who stares, gobsmacked, at the image in front of him.

It's House, at his medical school graduation. He's fresh faced and apple cheeked, so breathlessly young, but still perfectly recognisable. He's beaming ear to ear, wearing his cap and gown, holding his rolled up degree high above his head with one hand.

And has his other arm is wrapped around another cap-and-gown wearing graduate. A male graduate, pressed against young House, kissing his cheek and looking elated. House swipes on the picture and another appears; this time, young House and the other male graduate are full-on kissing and hugging. "That," House says smugly. "Is my medical school boyfriend."

This is canon now. No arguments accepted.

Wilson waking up on House's couch, exhausted and sore, having experienced the weirdest fever hallucination that consisted of the rest of the show. House limps in and sees Wilson staring up at him with a confused frown, debating everything he "lived" through.

Wilson asking House if he would die for him which House just answers "Probably" before they continue on with their day as if nothing happened.

something something hilson and first names. calling each other by their last names so its all dude bro enough for them to pretend. but "greg" and "james" is reserved for those moment where there's no satirizing, there's no mixed feelings or acting. it's a flag of sincerity, reserved only for those times when they mean it. love, lust, care, feelings. they mean it with every pulverized piece of their soul.

I love how House and Wilson are both each other's emergency contact AND each others doctors. I personally headcannon that, since the Stacy incident, they're each other's medical proxy too.
