I found this busted robot lying in the mecha yard! I got it up and operational again with a few loose parts I found around. I stuck it into the blender 2.93 transformers using the EEVEE function and it started walking. After a little tweaking though, it powered down so I had to wait while I ordered a new battery core.

While it was inactive, I found some substance painter cans to touch it up. Unfortunately, I ran out of yellow and black paint (hence the rough paint job :). The batteries arrived, and what do you know, the thing works like new! I hooked up a drone and recorded some angles. I had a real job of cleaning up the footage with after-effects because the drones lenses are recalled scraps and unreliable. They will need replacing soon as well.

I've been working on a little something small in my evenings. I've always wanted to do atleast one clay like texture for a character in 3D, that incompasses some Mograph skills ive learnt over the years. The focus was on materials, to get that finger print texture working, the lighting setup and to push just the expressions on the rig.

Walking Box Robot - JOBOT The concept is, you put the chip into the bot and it walks its delivery to a new destination. Its like a loot box on legs. The styliing of it has evolved into a NES system.
