Bangs are all about the spirit of collaboration. People come together to inspire each other and create amazing pieces for things they love. We’re looking forward to seeing what our amazing artists and authors create for the JD Reverse Minibang!

Hi mods, do we need to wait for a sign up confirmation email before sending in our prompts? (I accidentally closed the form submission success page so I don't have the link to the prompt submission form 🙈)

Hi!

If you don't have the link from the sign-up form, then yes, you have to wait for the confirmation email! The prompt submission form is only available to signed up people, to avoid possible chaos.

If you signed up in the last 48 hours-ish, your confirmation email is on the way. (They were supposed to be sent yesterday, except someone (me) fell asleep.)

If you signed up before that and you did not get a confirmation email, check in spam, then send us a DM or an email (JayDickReverseBang2025@gmail.com) so we can resend it!

Hello~ this is more of a question for later on, but this will be my first RBB event and I was wondering if we're allowed to read the author's WIP in case we want to draw more to accompany the fic? (beyond the prompt sketch we submit)

Hi!

Absolutely! Ideally, the author and you will be working together to a certain level (you can agree on it between you).

This means that, if you agree on a close collaboration, you could create the story outline or details together, and even add some details to your artwork that the author thought of (this is of course not mandatory, but it happened before).

Even if you don't want to collaborate closely, we ask that you check in and share WIPs once in a while so your teammate knows where you are.

There will also be a question in the prompt submission / claims forms about the desired level of collaboration - this is not something we promise to match perfectly when creating the team's, but we'll try.

Hi mods, can I ask what time(zone) the form will close on June 1? I just stumbled upon this event and it's a busy week ahead for me but I want to make sure I submit in time so I can join in the fun!!

Don't tell the others, but we are always going to close the forms a bit late (so after GMT-11 has passed midnight), so any stragglers have the chance to fill them out.

But officially, at the evening of the americas timezones (GMT-7-8). Don't make us wait on you guys! (Except you. Good luck with your busy week!)

We all deal with impostor syndrome from time to time, and it can get in the way of creating some amazing work. If worries and frustrations like these have been holding you back from signing up for the event, please consider the following tips:

Learn more about what impostor syndrome actually is and what causes those feelings. If you’re reading this, you’re already starting!

Talk about it. When these feelings stay locked inside your head, they can seem too big to manage. Expressing yourself (to a friend or even to yourself through journaling) can help make those feelings a bit smaller and easier to confront. You’re welcome to send us an ask (or DM @malfiora on tumblr, BlueSky, or Discord). You might even be surprised to hear how others have struggled with the same feelings. 

Celebrate your wins. It can feel egotistic or hollow, but spend some time reflecting on what you’ve accomplished, large and small.

Let go of perfectionism. Something is better than nothing, a messy draft is better than an idea, and good is good enough.

Be kind to yourself. These feelings are normal and do not mean that you are a lesser creator.
