This is a letter for me. The little me: I haven't been nice to you for these past 29 years. Always hating you for being such a baby and for being weak in moments where you had to be brave. I despised that you were being nice to the people you knew were using you and mocked you behind your back. Even some family members who mentally tortured you to the point you hated attending parties and sleepovers. And we still do, unfortunately. I can't say that your future will be easy, there will be challenges that will effect you emotionally and physically; but those challenges will mold you to who I am now. You will achieve goals that you can't imagine. The paths you wish to take will not be open to you, instead there will be a maze of opportunities that you can take. It will be tiring, draining, painful, and even depressing. Life is not easy, I know you know. Our Mom, dad, sister, brother, and friends will always support you, us. Continue what you love and never stop. I know you don't want to grow up; I still don't want to grow up, how selfish we are aren't we? But look at us now. Hitting 30. Scary isn't it? We still have a long way to go though, but I know we can face whatever life throws at us. We are in this together. So for now, I end this with a hug and a Happy Birthday.
