So... my first attempt at bookbinding wasn't perfect 😂 which is why I decided to try again, and the second one turned out much better. The problem with the first one was that I sewed the signatures in a way that made the whole thing look, well... weird. I managed to avoid that problem with the second one, so now I have this pocket journal as a result:
I happen to have these rose beads in my jewelry supplies and decided to add one to the closure thingy, I think it looks cute :)
