Just finished Batman: night cries, a standalone graphic novel by Archie Goodwin. I highly recommend reading it. The story deals with uncomfortable and dark topics like the cycle of abuse and child abuse. The art style is also beautiful but harrowing. If you haven’t read this yet, I assure you it’s worth the read, especially if you want a more serious, dark, and important Batman story. Commissioner Gordon’s storyline in this also gives more depth to his failed marriage and relationship with his son.
