RANT ABT GRAVITY FALLS THEORY

So I'm rewatching Gravity Falls like everyone else rn and I think I just found smth interesting, if someone else already pointed this out I'm sorry and credit to you lol.

In the book of bill we learn that the twins only survived in one timeline, the shows timeline. I'm one of the people who believe in the theory that Waddles is why they lived, his presence saved them, and I found smth that possibly proves it.

In season one episode nine when Mable wins Waddles she says "everything is different now" while looking out with a blank expression.

Now obviously that could just be her saying that bc she got a new pet and she's excited, but this is Gravity Falls and I read into everything way too much.

Waddles also helps them a few times during the show, he helps Mable and Dipper escape the bubble in weirdmageddon and also helps Stan with kickstarting his memory in the final episode when he jumps into his lap and Stan reacts how he would before his memory was wiped.

Was everything different now because with Waddles at their side the twins would survive? Almost like he was their guardian angel? Also I haven't read the book of bill yet, this theory is just from stuff I've seen on tiktok lol. This is for shits and giggles don't take it too seriously I just thought it was interesting. :)
