Sketch from late 2019 of beckycas 's "Draw This In Your Style" challenge. Right now I've finalised the line work and transferred to my final paper, making a start on the first layer of pastel watercolours. These challenges are a fun no-stress way I've been slowly getting back into drawing, I've got so many of them bookmarked on insta!

My unfinished Halloween sticker collection from last year had a lot of cute pumpkins and spooky treats! I'll keep posting sneak peeks of the work I managed to get done and will return to complete the project pretty soon, so they'll definitely be ready for Halloween this year!

Late last year I took some time to try and get back into drawing, warming up my skills again and also just having fun. These two drawings are experiments with my Kuretake markers, using them in very new and challenging ways for me, to loosen up. These are in my super old sketchbook which has taken forever to fill - referencing the super fashionable and inspirational "@ miasaidno" (account inactive I think) and "@Miles­_Jai" (insta). I'm always trying to practice, practice, practice new things, I can easily see the flaws in my works and have lots of room for improvement, but I use this to motivate me rather than discourage.

I worked my little spoonie ass off last September and October - trying in vain to bring out a new sticker collection for Halloween, I was super inspired, but also super sick. I didn't manage to finish many of the designs, but they've been put aside for safe keeping, and I'm hopeful that this year I'll be able to complete this project! Here is a little look at some of the designs I was brainstorming.

Things are still incredibly tough for me health-wise, and I truly can't remember the last time I was without pain - so trying to focus on the good and being grateful for what I do have is pretty important to balance the scales. Its still something I'm working on, do you journal or create art to help manage your mental health? If you've posted about it I'd love to check it out - tag me!
