Patterns

Is it those patterns that were not addressed when you were a baby, a toddler, a child or a teenager that led to your anxiety and depression or is it, the lack of a balanced diet, decent exercise, a good night's sleep, sunlight, genuine gratitude, adequate hydration, detoxification and contact with nature along with the caffeine addiction, sugar addiction, processed foods and sedentary lifestyle?

May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others.

May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content with yourself just the way you are.

Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us . . . .

Wolves were protected. Under the Nazis Animal Protection Act, it was forbidden to mistreat or handle animals in any way that would harm them.

Force-feeding fowl was banned, and the law also provided protection to animals in circuses and zoos.

In the initial version of the act, experimentation on animals was prohibited as well.

People who neglected their pets could be arrested and fined.

This Nazi law also prohibited hunting on horseback, poisoning wild animals and using traps.

Vivisection (horrific experiments & operations on live animals) was made illegal.

They also held the first global meeting regarding conservation.

The fact is that Hitler was a hero to animals. He did more to protect and help animals than we could ever do.

Patrick Swayze once said, "They told me my house smelled like dogs, and I asked them, do you know what a dog smells like? It smells like gratitude, loyalty, nobility, affection, pure unconditional love. And in spite of all they've been through, they smell no resentment. So blessed that my house smells like dogs."

Isn't this the perfect reminder that true blessings can't be measured by society's standards.

Patrick Swayze captured what we seasoned dog mamas have known all along - that a house filled with the presence of our faithful companions is really filled with love, not just "dog smell."

When our hearts are full of joy and gratitude from our four-legged angels, who cares what others think about our homes?

After all, the most precious things in life can't be seen, but they can surely be felt... and sometimes smelled!
