Was digging through some old art, trying to find an old design for reference, when I stumbled upon these old drawings I never posted. I made these designs around the time FNAF Security Breach initially came out and everyone was trying to make glamrock animatronic OCs, and I wanted to throw my hat into the ring. The concept for these guys was inspired by the initial opening track of the game reminded me of Videopolis, so I decided to make them like MTV style hosts, their platform where they performed would show parody music videos featuring the Glamrocks and worked with DJ Music Man as Emcees. Their game mechanics would essentially be them creating a loud sound to attracted other prowling animatronics if they spotted you(aka the most annoying mechanic ever).

If you ever wondered why I could never participate in things like Art Fight, it’s because of scenarios like this.

Do you ever have that moment where you just remember that you’re an artist and you can just change things about your character’s designs and lore whenever you feel like it? Like if you’re starting to feel bored with your characters and their designs, you can just redesign them and play around with their lore, nothings stopping you from doing that.

Let me tell you when I had that revelation, it immediately changed how I viewed theses guys and I’ve never been happier with the results. So here’s the newest designs for the main cast of Seven Deadly Circus Gang, now in fun monster form

So I unintentionally just stopped posting art all together it seems. Allow me to explain it in zine form.

I’m going to be honest with y’all, between the state of the world, the possibility of Tumblr shutting down, the uncontrollable growth of AI, and my own preexisting insecurities that I’m coming to terms with, I’ve learned that if I don’t post anything about my art, I suddenly enjoy drawing again. Been a bit hesitant to post on here ever since I saw those posts about Tumblr maybe shutting down. Though I am trying to find other places to post, I want to at least post some art I made today.

I never read Homestuck, and at this point I might never will since it’s really long and I have other things to do, but I was interested by the trolls when the extended zodiac released and I took the quiz like most people did. I made a attempt at a troll sona based off that result and what little I knew about trolls and left it in a corner to rot, that is until today.

Thanks to Crimson Ruze and his recent stream, I decided to take another crack at it, this time with more information about the world building and the trolls, and in the process, making me really interested in Homestuck as a story. I still don’t have a good name for them but I decided that they’re a cowboy with a somewhat friendly nature.

A small tut on how i made my ear wings

List of things you’ll need:

Foam sheet/cardboard -> for the base

feathers (i used these :

Scissors

Glue (i used hot glue)

A headband

STEP 1:

Cut out the base (i recommend using a real wing as a reference. The height of the base of the wing should be a bit bigger than the height of your ear.

i labelled them left and right, but it’s pretty useless to do that.

STEP 2:

I painted the base white because the feathers aren’t opaque, and we could see the purple of the base.

STEP 3:

It’s time to glue the long feathers on! Make sure to position them before gluing, to make sure they look ok. Make sure to to follow those handy guide!

STEP 4:

Position the second (round) layer of feathers! I fold over any feather that went over the base on the top, to keep it looking clean.

STEP 5:

Now is the time to add the fluffy feathers if you want to!

STEP 6:

Time for the back! You can either leave it white or put feathers on the back too.

STEP 7:

Almost done! It’s time to attach them to the headband. If the one you have is made of plastic and is smooth, you should wrap some thread around it and glue it to the headband before the wings, so that the wings won’t detach

This is the pink thread i used, it’s embroidery thread. I used about the length of my arm for each side, and i then lathered it in hot glue. Not super clean, but it works.

MAKE SURE YOU VERIFY THE PLACEMENT OF THE WINGS BEFORE GLUING THEM SO THEY’RE NOT WONKY!!!!

Next, the actual attaching. You can glue the ears directly onto the headband.

STEP 8:

Wow! Your wings are done! Good job :3
