In a different, darker world, Diana of Themyscira was not raised in paradise, but instead was exiled to the underworld as a baby and raised by an enemy.
Darkness and exile did not destroy her; instead, they made her all the stronger—honed into an even greater weapon by tragedy, danger, and magic. Long denied her Amazonian heritage, Diana has finally reached the time for her to rejoin the surface world. Armed with new weapons forged in Hell, and a mission that looks a bit more like justice than peace, Diana will not be stopped on her quest to save the world and discover her place in it, even if that means carving it herself!
Eisner Award-winning writer Kelly Thompson is joined by breakout superstar artist Hayden Sherman to reinvent Wonder Woman from the ground up!

In the remarkable, bizarre, and heart-wrenching summer before Cullen Witter’s senior year of high school, he is forced to examine everything he thinks he understands about his small and painfully dull Arkansas town.
His cousin overdoses; his town becomes absurdly obsessed with the alleged reappearance of an extinct woodpecker; and most troubling of all, his sensitive, gifted fifteen-year-old brother, Gabriel, suddenly and inexplicably disappears...

Dorian Leith can see ghosts.
Not only that, he listens to their problems and tries to help them move on to the afterlife. It’s a gift that’s made him an outcast to everyone in town. That is except for his dearly departed grandmother, who he’s partnered with to turn this paranormal ability into an honest living, and the local bookshop owner, who seems to be the only non-deceased person willing to give him a chance. But it’s all worth it to Dorian, who feels like he’s been given a bigger purpose. A chance to save those who cannot save themselves.
Then one day, the key to Death’s Door is stolen, trapping all the ghosts in the land of the living. Since he’s only one who can see them, the spirits rely on Dorian to retrieve the key before it is too late. If they can’t move on, they’ll soon be consumed by a ghostly rot that has begun to plague them.

From the dream team behind #1 New York Times bestseller Indeh comes a graphic novel following a father and son as they navigate an increasingly catastrophic day.
Set against the quiet and unassuming city of Huntsville, Texas, Jack "Meadowlark" Johnson, and his teenage son, Cooper embark on a journey of epic proportions. Told over the course a single day, this electrifying graphic novel recounts Cooper's struggle to survive the consequences of his father's mistakes and the dangers they have brought home to his estranged family. As Cooper and his father desperately navigate cascading threats of violence, they must also grapple with their own combative, dysfunctional, but loving relationship.
Drawing on inspiration from the authors' childhoods in Texas, their relationships with their own sons and from ancient myths that resonate throughout the ages, this contemporary crime noir is a propulsive coming-of-age tale of the shattering transition into manhood. While both father and son strive to understand their place in the world and each other's lives, tension and resentment threaten to boil over. As emotionally evocative as it is visually stunning, this captivating graphic novel will appeal to fans of Cormac McCarthy's No Country for Old Men and Terrence Malick's Badlands.

Keladry is the first girl who dares to take advantage of a new rule in her homeland, Tortall--one that allows women to train for knighthood. She knows she’s ready for the traditional hazing and grueling schedule of a page, but standing in her way is the knights’ training master, Lord Wyldon.
The training master is dead set against girls becoming knights, and in an attempt to further hold Kel back, Lord Wyldon decides that she must pass a one-year trial that no male page has ever had to endure. But she is not to be underestimated. She will fight to succeed, even if the test is purposely unfair.
The Protector of the Small series gets its first graphic novel adaptation, bringing to life Tamora Pierce’s bestselling First Test in an exciting new format. This graphic novel story about believing in yourself and overcoming all odds combines action and adventure in a way that new and old fans of the series will love.

Out and proud, Riley Iverson knows there’s nothing more cringe than crushing on a straight boy. But from the moment that the handsome and sporty Jackson Haines walks into his life, Riley can’t help but feel an undeniable connection.
Mainly because, as impossible as it seems, Jackson is the spitting image of the boy who’s recently appeared in Riley’s dreams—dreams set in another time and another place where he and Jackson are desperately in love.
Soon these dreams morph into increasingly vivid nightmares. But no matter where or when these visions play out, two things remain constant: Riley and Jackson are always together, and they always die at the end.

It's not Halloween, but the Headless Horseman knows no season is this queer retelling of the classic story of Sleepy Hollow!
Isabel "Izzy" Crane and her family have just relocated to Sleepy Hollow, the town made famous by — and obsessed with — Washington Irving's Legend of the Headless Horseman.
But Izzy has no time for superstition as she navigates life at a new address, a new school, and, with any luck, with new friends. Then Izzy is pulled into the orbit of the town's teen royalty, Vicky Van Tassel (yes, that Van Tassel) and loveable varsity-level prankster Croc Byun. Vicky's weariness with her family connection to the legend turns to terror when the trio begins to be haunted by the Horseman himself, uncovering a curse set on destroying the Van Tassel line!

I've posted my review of Summer Shadows by John Harris Dunning and Jim Campbell.
Described as The Talented Mr. Ripley meets Dracula, this stylish neo-noir horror graphic novel is the story of Nick Landry who is searching for his ex on the unspoiled Greek island of Avraxos. Anthony was the love of his life, and without knowing why he left, Nick can’t move on. But Anthony isn’t the only one to disappear on Avraxos. Coast guard officer Alekos Kourkoulos is on the trail of another young man who disappeared there. Both men had fallen in with the glamorous set onboard a jet-black superyacht moored offshore before vanishing. The story behind the yacht is one of ancient evil that preys on humans.

I have wanted to sit down and read The Arabian Nights for decades now and have finally decided to take the plunge! I bought this gorgeous version of it — embossed cover and gilded pages — from bookshop.org. My goal is to read it similar to how Scheherazade told the stories in legend — one per night. The book's 650 pages long, so that'll be quite a few nights!

This anthology boxed set is packed full of post-apocalyptic punk in the most typical Tank Girl way!
Follow Tank’s adventures through three exciting series as she goes through a whirlwind adventure looking for her signature tank, combating Nazis and getting into sci-fi antics.
Tank Girl: Two Girls, One Tank: Expect a healthy dose of delirium and plenty of ball-crunching action in this high-octane cross-country skirmish that asks the question: is this world really big enough for TWO Tank Girls? Strap in and strap on, folks; it’s gonna be one helluva ride!
Tank Girl: Gold: Tankie and her trigger-happy family are going for gold in this series from THE Tank Girl creator. Take a trip with us down the Furry Road for this four-part adventure packed with vim, volatility, and verbal abuse!
World War Tank Girl: With a few bars of gold left, and Sub Girl’s uneasy feeling that she left something behind, Tank Girl hires her scientist friend to reinvent time travel. The Third Reich have no idea what is coming their way!
