This is our Family during and prior to this brutal War :

Almost everyday I hear about losing a family member or a friend

and we fear if we didn't lose one another through bombing we'll die either of hunger or disease.

All of my family members are hit with diseases ,they're either can’t find the medicine or can’t afford it if its there.

With your generous donations, you will help us Reunite our family and find a safe haven in Egypt.

My Family Members:

1- Sami Kamal Dawoud (Father)  - He suffers from Chronic joint inflammations

2- Rania Abdallah Dawoud (Mother) – She suffers from  Eye inflammations (Conjunctivitis)

3- Ayham Sami Dawoud, 22 years old (Brother) – He suffers from Gastroenteritis

4- Hla Sami Dawood, 19 years old (Sister) -She suffers from Gastroenteritis (very severe)

5- Sama Sami Dawoud, 15 years old (Sister)-  She suffers from Urinary tract infections

( hopefully we can save our dear cat as well)

This is my sister with our cat sitting in the ruins of our home .

Expenses:

Travel arrangements to Egypt (approximately $5000-$10,000 per person) for 5 family members.

Housing expenses.

Living and transportation expenses during the initial period of travel.

Food and medical expenses currently as it's urgently needed.

This is not the first war we face .. our home was bombed and destroyed in 2014 war .. then in 2023 war .. we keep fighting the best that we can hopefully we can rebuild what was taken away from us in a war we had no choice in partaking in.

What is this about the tumblr staff wanting to sell art data to midjourney?

An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don't have any more info. They probably won't have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:

I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.

Tumblr's CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and 'AI' companies.

A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data... tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)

So I don't have any extra info yet, but I'm keeping my ears open.
