So 2022 sees me starting back early this year helping my client’s move towards their New Year Resolutions and goals.
However, there seems to be a worrying trend that consistently repeats itself at the start of every year.
Everyone’s expectations are set way too high! They all want the quick fix.
A good example of this is around weight loss. I have clients saying they intend to lose between 2-4kg per week towards their target weight. One client vowed he will lose 20kg in one month.
These bold unrealistic statements are why over 80% of New Year’s resolutions always fail as quickly as they got started. when things don’t go as intended it’s too easy to just give up.
So to help you stay on track and make your New Year’s resolutions a reality here’s what you need to do.

The other day I listened to 2 radio presenters discussing what new habits they are trying to adopt during the Covid-19 lockdown.
One mentioned they had been meditating daily for 10 minutes.
They meditated regularly for around 3 weeks, but then the wheels started to fall off the wagon.
In their own words, they started to find meditation was becoming ‘a bit of a chore.’
why is it so hard to maintain motivation and enthusiasm over a sustained period?
Click the link in the comment box below to find out what can we do to overcome those obstacles that cause us to give up.

In society today we seem excessively concerned with projecting a certain self-image.
We go to great lengths to portray an image that will be free from criticism and judgements.
But with all this effort are we projecting a true image of ourselves?
We repress aspects of ourselves that do not fit in with the structured ideal of our society.

We all have areas in our lives that seem to always cause us problems.
Sometimes they are easy to fix, however at other times there never seems to be a solution in sight.

Often, when people first find out they have a problem they really don’t know what the problem is.
They know the symptoms. They know they feel uncomfortable. They know they want to make changes.
