“Tell me more about the time when you saw the hologram of your kitchen back home, up in the dark sky.”
“Well, for starters, I was six years old.”
“Yeah that explains a lot. Anything else?”
“It was an incandescent light.”
……..
“The yellowish-orange light.”
……..
“People don’t use those bulbs anymore.”

I got hit by a stone
few years ago, one summer night.
It is blur- the trajectory of it
for the sun was cruel
but not enough to win against the dark.
It did hurt, but where? Not sure.
I got hit by a stone
at the brink of light, this chilly morning.
It is clear- the trajectory of it,
because the sun rises to be cruel
just the same as the dark.

when a book hurts your head and heart both, simultaneously, do you consider it as a good one? I am talking about This Is How You Lose The Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone.
