staying up until midnight to register for classes: a journey

Registerring for my next semester opens tomorrow, and they didn't give a time so I'm just assuming they mean it opens at midnight. Usually I'm well asleep by midnight. But tonight I'm keeping myself awake, because if I don't get into Brit lit I will sob until winter.

23:06 -- starting this post, doing okay, eyes are starting to get dry though, my body wants to sleep

23:11 -- friends on discord are keeping me awake, we can do this

23:15 -- started watching friends, i'm giggling

28.01.23 - goodbye book buying ban !

I went out to the bookstore and got these two pretty purple books! I had been planning on getting cinderella is dead, but when i saw a river enchanted i couldn’t leave it behind. I haven’t heard much of it but the ratings seem good and so does the story! However i’ll be starting with cinderella is dead because i’ve been looking forward to it for weeks.

26.01.23 - Notion page upgrade

I redid my university notion page for the new semester and I'm in love with how it turned out!! My previous one was a lot more dark, with less colours overall, so this is a great change. I feel motivated and excited to start the second semester (though i have to wait a couple more weeks) :)

You know what i hate abt writing fanfics and what i love abt writing novels?

Fanfics are expected to have the same chapter lenght, every. single. chapter. Even if it doesn’t fit the story or the vibes, even if a short chapter would be so much more impactful. The whole pressure of having a certain length of chapter is high.

Writing novels is like a dream compared to that. Who tf cares about chapter length! Do what feels best and what works best, it’s so freeing.

Anyways, those are my thoughts
