Remus with a scar through his eyebrow because he had a piercing that rejected and he was in denial for so long that it just fell out aftet a bath one day

James shares his childhood stuffie with Sirius even after he moves in with Reg and they move in with Remus & it was like a custody battle at first and they finally settled on weekly alternations (Remus & Reg made it happen bc they couldn’t bare the whining any longer)

marauders roadtrip headcanons!!

all popular characters split into three cars :)

CAR ONE:

james: he’s driving because the road trip was his idea. he’s taking effie and fleamont’s mini van to account for all the luggage and snacks. he wanted to do it “the old fashioned way” and not use a gps so this car is navigating via paper map. this is stressing him out but he refuses to admit defeat. he’s made a wrong turn so many times.

remus: remus is in the front passenger seat with the big paper map sprawled out on top of him. he was the only one who knew how to read a paper map, this does not mean he's good at it. he is yelling at james to turn and james is not listening. sirius is sat behind him and remus might strangle him if he kicks his seat one more time.

peter: he’s sat behind james. peter gets SOOOOO carsick its insane. he has to wear those motion sicknesses glasses and has noise canceling earplugs in. james’ reckless driving is only making peter’s current situation worse. they had to pull over twice on a 6 hour drive for him to throw up.

sirius: sirius is the only one in this car having a good time. he agreed to sit in the back on the sole condition that he gets aux control. thankfully, they all have pretty similar music taste or this would be a problem. he’s singing at the top of his lungs and trying to get peter to dance with him. if it weren’t for sirius’ good mood, everyone in the car probably would’ve strangled each other by now.

CAR TWO:

lily: she is the main driver of this car. because the girls have common sense, they are actually using a gps to navigate to their location. with the help of the gps and lily's driving skills, this car makes it to the end point 2 hours before the other two cars.

mary: she's sitting up front with lily and they take turns driving. mary was given primary aux duty but all the girls are putting in requests. she's planning out things to do in the hours they have before all the boys finally arrive.

dorcas: she's sat behind mary and pretty much reads for the entirety of the car ride. most of the luggage in the car is hers, she needed a new outfit for every activity. #forthegram

marlene: she's sat behind lily and is trying to get everyone to play car games the entire time. it works at first, but everyone loses interest eventually. when this happens, she starts doing crossword puzzles and chats with mary and lily to pass the time. she gets bored so easily, so this car ride is her own personal nightmare.

pandora: she was sitting in between dorcas and marlene, but after an hour on the road she shifted to be laying across them both. she's mainly daydreaming and napping. not a care in the world. she also brought a lot on the trip but its mostly snacks and crafts for everyone to do once they get to the airbnb.

CAR THREE:

regulus: he's the only one in this car who can drive. unfortunately, his phone didnt charge the night before the trip so he has to follow behind james' car to navigate the whole way there which sucks because, if you recall, james doesnt really know where the fuck he's going. regulus is on the verge of a monumental crash out and the other two people in the car arent helping at all.

evan: he deadass sleeps the whole time in the passenger seat next to reg. some help he is

barty: barty was banished to the backseat with all his luggage because he brought way. too. much. he's torturing reg with bad trap music the whole time and even though his phone is fully charged, he refuses to help with directions. he thinks following james' driving and remus' shitty navigation is far funnier.

I remember having a pink and purple Disney princess tv with a vhs player I don't remember much bc I was born when they were just fizzing out I think but I'm such a whore for physical forms of media

people still use VHS???? 🫣

i’m realizing now that probably not a small number of ppl who follow me were born around when they stopped making VHS tapes, but - yeah, lots of people do! collecting physical media can be really daunting and expensive, but VHS tapes are still incredibly cheap or free pretty much everywhere. i have a really big collection, and 2 copies of '10 things i hate about you' in case one of them breaks :3
