I had one weird dream last night, that was something.
It was some sort of a follow-up game of subnautica.
My dream started in a regular subnautica game. The aurora had long since blown up and I was low on calories and water. I was going around my seamoth a little bit too close to the aurora. I didn't have much on my character. I didn't have food or water and thought, hey! that's a good opportunity to go fetch some food and to scan stuff, the stuff that I needed at the time in the game, anyway. Keep in mind that it's pretty early in the game, so it was my first time going in the aurora in this save. Cause, of course, I've already finished the game I don't know how many times.
But weirdly the moment my character set foot on the aurora, the usual first entry thats cover up with boxes when you enter after facing Sammy and Sebastian.
See here who I'm talking about.
Tumblr media
(I have a soft spot for Mabel, who at the begin, when I started playing, I'd call them Kevin)
The ship made a lot of scratching metal noise like it was drifting or sliding off the crash site. And realizing that it was sliding off I panicked and used the repulsive canon to enter the damn sinking ship because my reason was: I need to go to the captain room to go get the the shit that's going the get me off the planet! And if I die, I'll just reload to my last save 馃憤.
So I burst in, same old, same old, I stop the fire that blocks the entrance then the electric cable that is blocking the way. I swim passed it to the got the the underneath of the destroyed platform where you can get a PDA, and... well, took it.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
(Ps: that's not my game, I was too lazy to open my laptop, I just screenshot a video. I'll put the link at the end)
Looked up to what was supposed to be the door you to get you out to the lab that you have to enter for blueprint. But I was faced with architect technology like furnitures.
That was the weird part cause there was a bed, a freaking table and a small closet I think you know the furniture you get in ikea that are closets but are not? Yeah that, but like, make it for architects.
I scanned every single one of them thinking hey that be cool to put in my base later on. But then I notice my oxygen level was pretty low, I had 30 seconds left before the screen would turn black. So I looked up, naturally. And notice my seamoth and lifepod were at 2189m above me.
I remember thinking; shit, I'm in the void. But it wasn't a casual 'Ah shit, I'm in the void again.' No, no, it was a 'Holy fucking shit I'm that deep into the void in my survival game.'
I'm not speed runner so the void in a survival game is a big deal for me, even after playing that game for so long I still have that uneasiness and fear everytime I get close to the cracker edge.
I stare at the void, and the void stares back.
Anyways!
I look up notice that I was sinking deeper into the abyss. My oxygen was going low. It wasn't looking very great for me. And on that moment. The dynamics completely changed. When my oxygen was about to run out and the screen would start to fade. A hand pulled me out of the water and passed me through an airbubble in the ship.
Then it wasn't subnautica anymore. It wasn't the Aurora. My oxygen barr was not existent anymore. Food and water same thing. Even my character wasn't the same! It was a woman! Not Riley. It honestly looked like an epic cutscene.
Some guy he had like a heavy armor that looked like the Spartan's Mjolnir armor from Halo but was mixed with an old diving suit. It looked badass, to be honest. And that man kept barking me orders and reports of the submarine status and damage like;
"There's multiple breaches and damage in sectors 5 and 6. If we are attacked again by that thing, we are going to lose the main control room!!" He would shouts while dragging my character away from the water toward a sealed door that seem to be the entrance of a hangar.
"Turn off all lights on the ship and redirect the main power to the Bai and to its reactors." My character, a female voice that sounds rather straightforward. Like she's done this before. Would shout back at her second in command before they put the code to the sealed door. While looking at the door in the distance of the dark red, cable, hallway barely holfing the water back. The water pushed on the door at the very end until the pressure was too much and burst the door open. Causing the water in infiltrate the hallway.
The sealed door opened with a single loud alarm before they both rushed in the hangar and resealed the door right behind them before the water reached them.
They turned and walked in a rather rushed but confident manner talking to passing by crew members . It was hudge! A big ass crew with vehicles. I have a little difficulty describing. Engineers, electricians, scientists, medics, and a freaking assault team. It was something BIG. At least over 2 hundred people in that Bai. All working together.
The hangar had like star wars like Space Hangar? Like you know those open gates that keeps the air in, but let's the ship leave the station?
Tumblr media
Yeah, stuff like those, but in this, they were to keep the water out and let the vehicle in and out. It was awesome you could look at the underwater life through them. But the only thing was that we were so deep below you could only see darkness.
A lot of people came up to my character and started asking question and recommendation, showing statics on how to deal with the creature that's been tailing the ship for a while causing all the damage on the said ship.
Then, the our view leaves the Bai and our characters to take us completely off the ship. We see the ship moving clumsy away from our new perspective and we are pretty low on the grown surface. Watching, stalking the lights we see (the ship), and then pitch black except the deem red lights.
Then we move. Cutting into the water like a hot knife in butter. We stay low, stalking the ship with an unmoving focus.
We glow bright purple for a few seconds before the perspective changes again and we are a camera on the back of the Bai at the entrance of those star wars outside doors.
We see pitch black except some micro life in the red flash of the lights. We don't hear anything, just silence. It's an uncanny silence. Like we know, something is watching us from the darkness.
And it's freaking me out!!
The camera picks up on nothing, it turn left and right multiple before two bright yellow eyes stares right at us. We don't see anything but the eyes in the dark. It's terrifying.
Then, it bones glowed purple before disappearing in the darkness.
It was a leviathan!
The leviathan looked like a snake mixed with a chameleon as it could change its colors whenever it needed, probably easier for it to hunt. Massif legs and arms, it had strong and sharp skin/scales. Well, it kinda looked like an axolotl mixed with a dragon but 10 times more scarier.
And we are back with our characters! They yelled at each other, the woman (captain) and the guy (second in command), saying that if they want to reach the rendez-vous point with the company, they will have to find a way to flee this creature, since they don't have enough power to fight it.
And then I woke up.
It was a really cool dream. To be honest, I'm really wondering what would happen next, but I have dreams like once every blue moon if the time is right.
But it was nice sharing that!
Thank you for reading this fuckery!

Empty space
Jason todd meets Death before being resurrected.
Warnings: gore, blood, angst, fear. Happy ending, I swear.
Tumblr media
He awakens frightening, grabbing furiously at his body in panic, trying to find himself.
He can't hear anything...yet... there's this ringing sound that seems to echo all around him... like a laughter...a maniac laughter.
He opens and closes his eyes while gasping and choking for air. Every time he opens his eyes, he sees his face... that smile... that inhumane smile. He squint his eyes shut, bracing his ears with both hands before yelling and begging over and over for Him to go away.
He could feel his broken ribs at every breath he took. Panicked, he looked down at his destroyed robin suit, looking for band-aid in his belt when he noticed his body twisted in a way that would hunt his dreams. His bones were popped out of his skin. The deep carving of the knives were painting his suit in a deeper red with his own blood. The ripped skin tissue and tendons were making him gag. He sat on a small puddle of his own blood. He stared at his body for a few seconds, blank, before the dull pain suddenly shots through his body.
.
He screams.
.
.
He screams in agony.
.
.
.
He screams even when his voice cracks
.
.
.
.
He screams even when there's no sound coming out of his mouth anymore.
.
.
.
.
.
He falls silent on the floor. Quietly suffering. Sobs echoes in the void.
.
.
.
.
.
.
He warped his bleeding arms around himself, clutching and gripping at his suit in a desperate attempt for comfort. His shoulder would jerk up every time he sobbed. He let his head fall to the floor until his forehead hit the floor.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Tears run down his cheeks.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The sound of his pain echoes
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Until the only sound remaining is his sharp breathing in the void.
.
.
.
.
.

"Hello?" An echo reaches his ears.
He gasps harshly as he abruptly looks up. He sees nothing. Just now, he realizes he doesn't really know where he is.
There's mountains ahead of him, but they are strange. They look like they were made from black ink or some sort of waterpainting? It's beautiful yet strange.
The floor beneath him is completely white with small black dots like stars within it. It looks like a reverse night sky.
Not so far from him, he sees flowers. But they don't have any colors in them they look just like the mountains, water- ink-ich. They don't move. He just now noticed that there's no sun nor moon. There's no wind.
Where was he?
He clearly wasn't in that dark and twisted place with them...with him.
"Hello?" He jumped a little, that echo again. It sounds so close, but there's nothing around him. He was alone.
"Oh," it echoes. It's... pleasant, soft. Like rain. He missed rain.
"I didn't notice you were here, apologies." It's not an echo but a voice. He looked around, slightly unnerved. There's a voice speaking, but he was alone.
Until he sees a bright silhouette in the distance, slowly shaping itself more clearly as it approaches him.
He can feel his heart accelerating at every step they take. He started to back away from them. Leaving a trail of blood as he crawled away.
What do they want from him?
We're they going to hurt him like they did?
We're they going to torture and torment him like he did, too?
He doesn't want to find out.
No.
He crawls away while moaning in pain, tears running down his cheeks as he whines like a dying animal in the middle of the road, abandoned and left at the mercy of the cars. He doesn't look back. No, he doesn't want to look at the light that will end him.
He crawls until he can't no more. Exhausted and tired, he cries in pain.
He waits.
He waits for them to finish the job.
To finish what he started.
Breathing heavily, he lay there. But after a few minutes of silence. Nothing happened. We're they waiting for him to look at them? Did they want him to see who would take his life? The silence still remains. No, he wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of seeing his tears. They can go to hell.
Still, nothing happens.
His curiosity is edging him to look behind him. To see what is happening. But he pushed the thought away like it was fire.
Nothing.
Even after minutes that have passed, still nothing.
He takes a chance and looks behind him.
To see a woman staring at him with a gentle gaze.
Jason was pretty sure she was the incarnation of the sun with how bright she glowed. Her hair was snow-white. She had bandages wrapped around her eyes and hands. Her dress looked like waves of clouds when there's a strong wind pushing them into beautiful curly lines.
She had stopped a feet away from the small puddle he created earlier. She bowed slightly at him. "Greetings, young one."
He shallowed down his saliva before cautiously turning his body towards her.
"I hope you were not waiting for long." Her voice echoes softly in the void. It's nice, calming. Like a mother wishing goodnight to her child after a bedtime story.
"What is your name, my child?" She asked him softly.
He eyed her suspiciously. His mouth moves into a thine line as he stares back.
Noticing he wasn't going to answer, she smiled gently. "May I sit with you?" She asks while gently pointing beneath herself with her hand.
After a few seconds of hesitation, he slowly and painfully nodded at her.
She bowed once more while mumbling a 'thank you' before lowering herself to the ground. Sitting crossed legs.
A moment of silence passes between the two as they both stare at each other. One of curiosity and one of patience. Finally, she breaks the silence.
"You seem to be hurt, young one. Would you like help with your injuries?" At the request, jason feels his eyes water again. They want to help? Or their just trying to get him to let down his guard so they can hurt him?
He opened his mouth to speak but closed it right away. He hesitated. What if, just maybe, they do wanna help? It hurts so bad...
No.
She's going to hurt him in some way, that's for sure. Like the bat, how he left him for dead or how that maniac destroyed his body and sanity.
Rage ran through his body at the thought of the bat. He left. He abandoned him in that place with all of them. He left him for dead.
He clenched his jaw close as he closed his fits, almost drawing blood with the pressure he was putting on his skin. He glared darkly at the ground, lost in his own anger.
He didn't notice the woman had gotten up and walked towards him until he felt warmth on his back.
Then his gazed snapped to the woman that was now kneeling beside him, her hand on his back and the other slowly going towards his chest.
He should push her away, yell at her to get away from him. But he doesn't. It's like his mind can't think of anything when her hand lands on his chest and a warmth blooms in his body.
This feels nice...
He remembers when his mother used to hold him during cold nights when he was younger. It was warm and safe. Just like this. Tears roll down his face at the memory.
God, he misses his mom.
More tears fall as he sobs at the warm memories he suddenly remembers. He remembers Alfred showing him a book, his favorite now. When Alfred prepared tea every time him and dick came back together after a snock out. He remembers the video games nights he had with dick after a particular rough day.
With the overwhelming feeling of loss, He couldn't help but reach for the strange woman. He wrapped his broken arms around her form into a desperate hug as he cried, burying his face in her neck as he sobs and gasps for air. Holding on to her like she would keep the shadows and the cold away from him as long that she stayed by his side.
She hugged him back, sending warmth all over his body. She caressed the back of his head and rubbed his back gently while whispering that everything will be all right.
That he is safe.
He slowly realized that his body doesn't hurt as much as it did. He pulled away from her to look down at his body. He was no longer bleeding, and the trail of blood that he made, as well as the small puddle, had turned into the same flowers he noticed earlier. Gentle and small flowers.
His body was no longer broken or dislocated it was strong and powerful. He felt like a new person. He closed his eyes to feel his mighty heartbeat. It was strong and alive like a drum on the battlefield, strong and constant.
He was alive.
"My child." He opened his eyes again to look at the woman beside him who smiled.
"Jason." his voice was loud and strong. It was completely different from earlier. It sounded like he could move masses by just talking. "My name is Jason."
She smiled brighter. She was proud of him. He could see it in her body language. She was proud and happy. She reaches for him once again.
"Jason... my sweet little bird." She said gently while caressing his face like a mother would to her child. "Your time has not come, yet." She slowly took off his robin mask off of his face and placed it on the flowers beneath them, revealing his beautiful deep blue eyes. "They still need you. Your family needs you."
Jason suddenly has a flash in his mind. There was a 'S' like Superman symbole and a plushie? Of Superman? He sees hair? Red/ orange hair in a high-ponytail? And an arrow, a red one. As quick as it came, it vanished. He blinks a few times. What the hell do those things mean?
The ground suddenly starts to shake before it slowly starts to glow a deep green emerald.
What is happening?
He looked around himself when he noticed the mountains fading away in the green. The flowers turn into greenish colors. He looks back at the woman to see her smile sadly at him. "It's time..." she simply said before putting one last time her hand on his cheek, where she heals a rather deep scar.
Jason reaches for her hand to hold on to it. Scared of what will happen next.
"It will be okay, Jason. Do not be afraid of the future." He frowns, confused at her words. As the world around them crumbles into green. "Even if you don't remember... just know it will be okay." She continues as she reaches up to kiss the top of his head, causing a streak of his hair to turn white. "You will be okay." She looks straight into his deep eyes and smiles reassuringly before everything fades to green.
.

.
"Everything will be okay." It echoes...

An au where Simon Riley actually dies, but he mysterious survives death.
He's nowhere to be seen during the nights.
And so is his motorcycle.
There's always this unsettling feeling of death and crushing sins that follows him everywhere he goes.
There's always a smell of ashes and blood that clings to him like a second layer of skin when he walks by.
His motorcycle have strange marking all over it, as if it has been burned multiple times.
With ashes stuck to the tires.
He always carries chains with him, and nobody knows the exact reason why.
But strangly, they also seemed related to his bike.
Nobody really knows what happened to Simon Riley or his death...
Just like nobody knows how Ghost came to be.
A spirit of vengeance.

Frozen waters
Subnautica Below Zero small story
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a very calm evening, no storm in the distance, the strong and cold wind had calmed into a soft breeze, and the temperature wasn't as cold as it was during the day.
It was a once in a while situation. It didn't happen all that often to have such a peaceful moment in this secteur.
But it was alright, you always cherished those moments of calm and stillness. It's always a welcome change of pace in your everyday life of research.
The rays of the sun were the only source of warmth you had for the moment, as you sat at the edge of one of the massif icebergs located towards the cracker edge of the secteur. Yes, it was a restricted area for many reasons, mainly because of all the dangerous creatures below but, you manage to found a way to go through undetected by those creatures (that tends to stay on ground level) AND your superiors by swimming side by side with glow whales.
It's a very unique experience to swim side by side with one of them. It's like swimming with creatures holding the secrets of the univers and the cosmos. They know so much and express so much with their eyes, your heart became heavy with emotions the first time you've experience it, it was beautiful.
You tug your equipment closer to yourself as a shivers run downs your spine. Even if the wind has calm down, the temperature was not forgiving. It was easily -39 celsius out, a rather warm day but still cold.
Atleast you had a cold suit on and some fevered pepper. You also believed you saw some growing in a small opening of the icebergs, the ice must've had melted and created this space that sheltered them from the wind and the storms and so, giving the chance for grow.
It always fascinated you how life always found a way to grow despite all the harsh conditions of the environment. For example the thermal lillies, they grow straight from the cliffs of ice and stay alive by consuming the minerals within the ice and absorbing the sunlight as a heat source to store it within its body.
It's mind blowing!
Sometimes, you believe you should've studied biology than robotics. There's so much to discover and to understand in this univers. Of course, robotics is also very helpful in discovering new things and helping with research but, there's just this special feeling in your heart everytime you meet a new plant or creature. Intrigued and curiosity takes over. To try and understand the world around you. After all, it's also the one you live in.
Maybe in another life.
The sun was beginning to set as it cast a golden hue on the neverending ocean before you. The few clouds were slowly painted with a deep orange fading to bright yellow. The clouds behind you were also slowly chosing their color as deep pink. It was like looking at a vintage painting from the late 1400. It was a magnificent sight. One you quickly took a picture of to keep in your pda but, noticed it wasn't as pretty as the actual sight.
As the sun set further into the horizon, the first moon was beginning to do it's fourth rotation of the day. It's soon going to block the last few sunlight and the freezing night is going to start.
As much as you don't want to leave this magical moment. It's not for no reason why there's a curfew at sunset. The temperature drop so much that it's deadly for anyone during the night.
With a heavy heart, you start packing your equipment to go back to the headquarters.
The sound of the quiet waves crashing on the iceberg's edge takes your focus almost instantly. Making you really wish you could stay longer as the sound brought peace to your mind. Stars, you really don't want to go. To stay here and live this moment a little longer than to go back to the loud environment of the robotics headquarters.
A small cloud of steam leaves your mouth as you sigh deeply before looking one last time at the sun that was now half block by the moon.
It's getting dark and you notice the small layer of ice slowly forming on top the freezing waters.
Yeah, it's best to go back.
Standing at the edge of the icebergs, you look towards the horizon. Your last thought that passed through your mind before jumping in the frozen waters was that it would be nice to have a cup of hot chocolate before calling it night.

Way out there
Warning: mention of blood and dead animal (hunt)
(Picture not mine found it on Pinterest)
Tumblr media
"What's out there?"
The man slowly perched up at the quiet voice that just spoke along the the chants of the river beside him. He looked down at the small girl as her gaze was far ahead of her, towards the mountains of eternal cold, instead of the water that she was playing with just a few moments ago. She was in deep thoughts. He could tell by the way she was so focused on the view head, as if all the things around her didn't matter anymore. From day one, she was a mystery to him, she never acted like a normal child. Normally, a child is noisy and loud, always wants attention and can't live without help. They were annoying and helpless. At least that's what he thought of them. But she was never like that. Since the day he was tasked to care for her as his own, he never saw those traits on her. Always stayed on the quiet side, rare were the times he heard her cry or complain. Hes sure he can count them on one hand. It's in those moments where he wonder where she came from. She was quick on learning new things, was able to keep up with him during hunting and had showed great potential in battle but also in special abilities, but she was still to young to confirm. He sighs deeply as he repositioned himself on the rock he was sitting on before returning his gaze down on the animal he had hunted and carefully continued pilling off its fur with his knife.
"Mountains."
His deep hoarse voice pierced through all the sounds around them. Making it stand out. It was a simple answer, clear and to the point. Just like him. He wasn't a big talker, usually tends to communicate his intentions and emotions through the bond he shared with her. And now all he wanted was some peace and quiet for the rest of the evening. But unfortunately for him, his (he dare say) daughter was in a talkatif mood. Which would happen every blue moon if the stars were aligned. Slowly she got up from her sitting position on the grass to stand as if she was trying to see further in the distance. He watched her from the corner of his deep eyes and immediately noticed the that the old clothing she was wearing, if you could even call it that, was getting way passed its time. No it looked more like an old rag than a oversized shirt. With all the stitches and patches to hold the fabric together someone could mistake it for a poor attempt of a potato bag. He mentally told himself that he would have to go get some fresh clothes for her instead of the old potatoe bag that reaches her knees and the small fabric that vaguely resembles of shorts. She slowly turned to face him. The sudden movement made him look up to her. Bright blue eyes meet his deep oranges ones.
"What's beyond those mountains?"
Slightly taking aback by the question, he momentarily stop his smooth motion with the knife before resuming what he was doing. The young girl turn to look back at the mountains. Giving him a good view of her wings. They were still growing, the slightly grey feathers told him so, but some of her feathers has started to take a deep black color which meant that in a few years or so he would have to teach her how to fly. He pushed aside that small realization to refocus on the question he was asked. He looked back at his handiwork before he flopped down on the ground to wash off the blood on fur in the crystal clear water that was now leaving trails of red in the river.
"A world."
He didn't looked up at her this time. But he could feel through the bond that she wanted to know more. Sighing deeply, he quickly finish cleaning the fur before throwing it over his built shoulder. He grabbed the bag that was resting against the rock he was previously sitting on to put their soon to be dinner in it. He looked back at the girl as he got up ready to leave. She was still looking head of her. The gentle breeze made her black hair move in its passing.
"Can we go there?"
This time, it was him who had fallen in deep thoughts. He knew she was to young to go yet. If she did, she would get killed immediately. They were people out there that are after her. They all seek the same from her, her powers that had yet to shine. He thought it was ridiculous that people would go after a child for power, some were really desperate or really afraid... Either way, it didn't matter to him, he would protect this child as long as he can. Just like he promised all those years ago when she was entrusted to him. He did thought about the irony of the situation when she was given to him. Him a demon. A demon was entrusted to keep a child safe. Ironic isn't it? But she wasn't just any child, he could tell by her energy signature, she was...something. Something he never saw during his life. It didn't matter... At least not now...He looked a head of him towards the mountains.
"Not yet,"
Stretching his dark bat like wings before relaxing his posture, he grabbed his dark cloak and silently put it on (now covering his wings) before swinging the bag over his shoulder and started to walk away, signaling that the conversation was over. But little did he know she was not done yet.
Her bare feet would gently land on the grass, leaving a small trail behind her. From the lack of noise she was making he could mistake her for an animal passing by. The complete opposite of the strong sound of his boots hitting the ground with every step he took. She was silently following beside him as she look towards the forest before letting out a huff and turn in his direction again.
"Why not?"
Letting out a deep sigh that seems to come out from the pit of his lungs. He stops and look down at her. His orange eyes pursing hers making his stare look darker than it was. He flashed a warning glance at her. He was in no mood to talk, he made it shown, but that didn't seem to stop her as she looks up at him with the same neutral face she seemed to have grown up with.
They stared at each other for what seem to be more than a minute before he sighs in defeat and relax his stands.
"It's dangerous out there, your not ready to go yet"
He calmly explained as shift the bag more comfortably over his shoulders. His daughter kept looking at him with a curious gaze, urging him to continue.
Knowing that he could no longer avoid the conversation, he sighs as he slowly drop to his knees to be at eye level with the girl. She look at him expectantly, he saw an eagerness in her eyes that he was use to see when she had a goal in mind. He placed the bag on the soft grass below him before putting his hands on the shoulders of the young one. He look at her blue eyes that seem to slightly change to green, uncertain. Slightly frowning, he slowly drift his gaze at the mountains. He could see the clouds slowly drift by, letting the blue of the sky peek between them. Birds were minding their own as they fly free with wind. He look back at his daughter, seeing this serene stare that always reminded him of...her... He took a deep breath before starting.
"As peaceful this world may look like out there, the people that lives in it are not."
He slightly grip her shoulders, wanting her to understand what he was telling her. He knew she was too young, he knew she was going to try and go out there. That's what curious minds do. That's what gets them killed. That's what got her killed. He spoke with weight on his shoulders as memories rush back to him. He doesn't want her to end up like...her...
"Which is why you need to be ready before going out there."
The demon observed his daughter with a seriousness that the girl knew all to well.
"When you will be ready, we will go."
Letting go of her shoulders, he grabs the bag off of the floor and put it back on his shoulder before standing back up. With that, he turns and continue to walk home.
The small girl understood very well what he meant, without understanding the experience. She already knew, but she needed to hear it from him. She followed close beside him, walking closer to the edge of the forest together. She reaches out for his hand, searching for deep down comfort that they will make it together and that they both will be there for one another.
Almost immediately he returned the gesture. They both send comfort through the bond they shared. This moments made him remembered the very first time they met. It made him remembered why he was still here, why he was still fighting. That day just like this one, he swore to protect her until the very end like the daughter he never got to have.
Whatever it be here or way out there, he will be there to protect her.
