Did anyone have this feeling that brands have really REALLY tried to make "the western-style" THE shit for this year but it just hasn't worked out (besides Beyonce)? Like sorry Miss Schuhmacher but I just don't see it. We're slowly moving into autumn fragile manic English Lady and not an Arizona horse girl, I am afraid.

When does the parental care stop, and a literal child abuse starts?

That was a question that lingered in me, as I spoke to one of my co-workers yesterday, lets call her Renee. On a late and tiring evening, she said she needed to go home a bit earlier to be able to watch a tv-show with her son.

"How kind of him to wait for you, and not secretly continue watching by himself" I said.

"Well, he's scared to watch it alone. There are some scary scenes in it, and he wants to be watching it with his mommy"

Right, I get it. So I asked, how old is he?

"Fifiteen" she said and I had to control every muscle of my face to not look too judging. Did it work? I am not sure, because she started to explain herself, or rather him.

Ma'am, you both are watching Sherlock Holmes and your 15teen year old son, is scared to watch it alone?

Ma'am, may I know if your son is occasionally bullied by kids his age? I wouldn't guess why...

How to live like in 2014 tumblr peak era? #2

1. Arizona Drink

I don't know why exactly it became so popular but girls loved it. Paint your nails a cute color and make aesthetic pics with it

2. Photos on your bedroom wall

It's best when they look like polaroid pictures. I never had a polaroid, but I'd edit them in apps so they looked like that. If you were a cool grunge girl, your photos had to be placed on a black grid. If you were a cute tumblr girl, your photos had to have some form, like a heart. Fairy lights were a key to this design.

3. Fandoms like Supernatural or AHS for the grunge girls

Let's start with the fact that fandoms were important for your identity as a person. While today, young people defiene themselves by "cores" in 2014, you defined yourself by a fandom you belonged to. For grunge tumblr girls it was mostly Supernatural or AHS. Quotes like "Normal People Scare me" were everywhere, I even remember how I designed my notebook cover with it.

4. Penny Boards

I don't know where you still can buy them, but I would assume ebay is full of them. They were cute and trendy. You did not have to know how to use them, you had to have cute pics with them. I owned a green one with pink wheels and for shit I couldn't stay on it or direct it. But it was something to do after school with your friends.

5. Tanned legs

If you were tanning, you had to make a photo of your legs. Plus points if you hold something, like a drink or water bottle. It was so popular that men had to of course destroy everything, and started to make jokes that girls legs look like 2 sausages, bc how can men leave women at peace :/.

How To Live like in 2014 Tumblr Peak Era?

I feel like I am qualified to speak about it since I was 15 years old at that time, and I was the main target audience. I made a list of things I remembered we did to feel cool.

1. You had to have a flower backpack for Back To School

I remember I owned a blue one, and I was so proud to wear it to school.

2. Half Up and Half Downs!

It-Girls were inspired by Ariana Grande and Zoella and this type of hairstyle, and I remember the half up half down with the high ponytail had me in chokehold even tho it seriously required hair extensions lol

3. Phone case/ phone background with palm trees

You were cool if you had palm trees on your phone background or phone case. I believe everyone wanted to live in a vibe of summer in LA even though I lived in Germany it did not matter. It HAD to feel like LA

4. Mason Jars for food!

If you were to bring oatmeal or a salad to school to eat it during lunch you had to have it in a Mason jar, ok?

5. Water bottle with fruits

I remember how the fruits eventually would dissolve and the water would be not the tastiest especially if you added bunch of cucumber but it was about how pretty it looked, you had to make photos with it. Also your water bottle had to have this cylindrical shape!

Ok so that's the end of the post for now. I will do more soon but that's the beginning. Hopefully it helped those who try to live their 2014 lives or those who would like to relive it but already forgot most of it.

IMPOSSIBLE CHALLANGE:

styling galaxy leggins. Ok so galaxy leggins had it's time in early 2010s and tbh nowadays it seems impossible to wear it in a trendy way. I thought to myself, I have to try to style it.

Mind you, I don't own some professional app to do so. I just tried to make smth happen but what do you think? Is this smth? Did I manage to style galaxy leggins???

I miss YouTube.

Like 2014- 2017 YouTube.

I miss when youtubers would recommend products one could actually afford in a drugstore.

I miss those colors, yeah sometimes saturation would go over the roof but life actually had colors back then. It always felt like summer. Now it's the "clean girl aestehtic" "boss girl" "it girl" "soft girl" - greys and beige and black and white.

I miss when loud and catchy music would play. It was fun and exciting. Now it's a soft beat playing in the background. Everything went monotone.

I miss loud "HEY GUYS" I miss the energy. I am tired of: "calm easthetic grey morning routine" , "watch me drink coffee in silence for a minute", "let me film random sections of my day with no voice over, just some boring music in a background" I CANNOT STAND IT I used to love YouTube so hard but now it's so difficult to actually find an interesting content that actually makes you want to watch those 10 minutes straight.

What will be in style?

I am not working in fashion industry nor am I an expert BUT I like fashion so let me tell u what I think will be trending for spring.

1. Citrine and ultramarine blue

The blue is defiently present in Giorgio Armani collection and citrine was visible in Prabal Gurung show. I personally love citrine styles but as a warm toned person ultramarine looks just wrong on me!

2) Fringe Clothes!

I have not yet make my mind about black leather fringe jackets but I am welcoming it on dresses and skirts!

3. Very basic black or white or beige outfit with a strong touch of glitter!

I have already seen few stars rockig a basic black dress but adding beautiful silver glitter shoes to it. Or a safe white outfit but a lovely golden glittery bag!

4)Asymmetric tops/dresses will be the shit

I have always been a bit scared of asymmetric styles but I see you...

5) Pastel Pink (lowkey 2020 early quarantine style)

Have you seen the spring collection from Chanel??!?!!!

As in my bio, I do lots of manifestation and witchcraft and all that fun stuff, but I also do 💕reality shifting 💕 so I thought it would be fun to talk about my desired realities!

🎀 Better Life Reality - It is very similar to this reality with some changes (for the better, of course!) I will permashift there 😊

Progress: I shifted there already once, but after I woke up, I was feeling very sick, as if I was drank, dizzy, i felt like throwing up, I passed out I believe.

🎀 Teenage Life - a reality where I relieve my teenage years. My teenage years were very depressing bc I moved to a new country, I did not know language, people were very racist, and I spent all these years alone in my room so now I just want to "go back" and actually have fun.

Progress: haven't shifted there yet

🎀 Gravity Falls - I am shifting to be Dipper, to be specific, I will insert myself on the place of Dipper. I just want to have a cool summer with mysterious adventures. In that dr I am, however, 14 years old (so that one day with the trip to that haunted store probably will look different). Also, I don't have any romantic feelings towards anyone there, I just want to have fun

Progress: One time I was so close during a method I could hear Mabel. I didn't hear what she was saying bc it felt like it was coming from another room

🎀 Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - shifting to be a twin sister of Sabrina! Super excited to see aunties, and to walk around that beautiful witchy house. I am a witch in this reality but this will be a nice experience to observe witches from a different dimension. I also really want to experience the 80' there. I am shifting for the plot.

Progress: i once was pretty close that during a method I started to hear a clock ticking. I don't own watches/clocks in my apartment. I did not script any clock in that dr but of course it could be I had one in that room, at least I want to believe it.

🎀 Rubinrot Dr - I shift to be a girl with a time traveling gene working for mysterious, dark academia society in London where I get missions I have to accomplish in different time periods. I get to learn history, new languages, and many different things. I also script that I do it with my best friend.

Progress: nothing for now
