The art of self care: As you all know I have been quite unwell lately so my self care has gone down the drain. The first photo is what it looks like. This is the first time I have taken my hair down all week. It was knotted to heck and very painful to brush. Today I forced myself to do my hair and shower. These two simple tasks are horrid to even think about when mentally unwell. All you want to do is shut out the world and not even think about self care. But, we do what we gotta do. After this I took some time to myself doing what I love to do. The simple things in life. This, is what you need to do. If you’re feeling stressed and over it all take sometime. Really struggling today and as you can see, my eyebrows have taken the punch. My asthma is getting worse, my medical news isn’t the best and all I can think of is my girl and how much I miss and need her. Missy wasn’t just my service dog, she was my best friend. Lately I have been trying to take care of myself and take pride in my appearance again.
