Artemis's Mischaracterisation
Something that constantly pisses me off is the mischaracterisation of Artemis. In the myths (both Greek and Roman), she swore an oath of chastity and maidenhood. A lot of people now like to joke around that Artemis sleeps with her hunters. Artemis is not a lesbian. She is not attracted to anyone, man or woman. It really bothers me when people say she's a lesbian or that she has flings with her hunters because Artemis, as well as Athena and Hestia, is an early example of an aroace figure. This belief can largely be thanks to Ovid (who let's be real) was a fanfiction writer of his time. In the Greek version of Callisto's myth, Zeus seduced her in his own form. Ovid (our favourite Roman fanfic writer) wrote about Zeus turning into Artemis to seduce Callisto. (And I don't listen to what Ovid writes. Especially since he was the one who wrote the myth about Artemis romantically loving Orion.)
Another mischaracterisation I hate so much is the fact that Artemis hates men. This, I believe, is mainly due to Rick Riordan. (I'm sorry. I love his writing. Percy Jackson is literally the reason I live.) However, if you look into mythology, Artemis has had male hunters: for example, Orion and Hippolytus. I'm not going to talk about Orion, but Hippolytus joined the hunters, rejecting Aphrodite, which made her curse his mother into falling in love with him, and a bunch of dying. I won't get into the specifics. I think the main reason there aren't many male hunters of Artemis is because they fear to provoke the wrath of Aphrodite.
Anyways, this was mostly supposed to be a rant about the lesbian allegations with Artemis. I've seen too many posts about her doing it with her hunters, and I have had enough.

Finished BSD Storm Bringer
I finished reading Storm Bringer last night, and it was an emotional rollercoaster. It's both sad and beautiful how Chuuya was convinced he wasn't human, but his actions and feelings show that he is human.
I did not expect the PM to use its resources to find Chuuya's parents in the epilogue. I also find it bittersweet that he saw them once and decided not to introduce himself. It says a lot about Chuuya as a character since he was a boy with no past, and now that he does have one, he's decided to leave it behind.
I think it's quite possible that the scientists got mixed up between real Chuuya and fake Chuuya. However, I have a theory that Chuuya swapped places with his artificial version because he felt guilty he was the reason to bring the artificial Chuuya into existence.
There is this one plot point I'm confused about. At the end of Fifteen, Mori gives him Rimbaud's hat, which I think is the same one Verlaine has, but I could be wrong. And in Storm Bringer, Chuuya doesn't wear a hat until the end. Did Verlaine just steal the hat back or something? I might be reading something wrong, but I'd like someone to explain it to me.

Maomao Aromantic HC
After watching The Apothecary Diaries, Maomao gives such aromantic vibes with a sexual attraction to women. Unlike the other girls who are obsessed with Jinshi, she seems to not think much of him. Additionally, she only gets truly excited when poisons are mentioned or when she's getting close to solving a case. Making her aromantic wouldn't make her unemotional, since we can see she has good relations with other characters, most notably with Xiaolan. Then there's the matter of fact that she can look at the male body completely unimpressed, but when it comes to a woman's cleavage size, she's always commenting on it.
