Rose Tinted Cheeks ~SJY~ (part one)

Hi guysss! So sorry for the hiatus! I’ve been working on this story and I’ve finally finished it! It’s just a small Halloween themed romcom-drabble that I cooked up for almost entirely self-indulgent purposes. Becuase of that fact I apologize if it’s hot garbage, but I’d be so so honored if you gave it a read!

Summary:

It didn’t come as a surprise that Jake showered at Heeseung’s, at least not anymore. All of the boys did, save for Sunoo, who complained about the lack of actual shampoo and conditioner. I agree with him. 2-in-1 is an abomination.

Heeseung opens his mouth to speak again, but as if on cue, a tall form saunters its way out of the bathroom, steam billowing out into the cooler air of the spacious living room.

It is in fact Jake.

And he is so shirtless.

(Or: to appease her pestering roommate, Virginia St. August makes arguably the worst decision of her life: Fake-dating “academic ace” Jake Sim.)

Short chapter here but it felt like the right place to end, give it a read if you have time!

Summary:

I am interrupted by a soft rustling of sheets. Dread coils in my gut. The Harbinger, whose hair is almost tangled enough to be funny, props himself up on the bed with a curse, letting his eyes adjust and looking around the room, at Wooyoung, at Yeosang, at me.

“What the bloody damn is she doing here?” Are the first words out of his mouth that day.

“She got shot, Captain. You saved her?” Yeosang replies, turning to his small table to prepare the same syringe of pain killers that he did for me.

“Shit.” The Harbinger mutters, turning his eyes towards me and staring straight through my soul. “Figures I had to save your ass, nothing but worthless political figures-“

I throw an apple Yeosang had placed beside my bed at him.

The Harbinger abruptly stands up, shoving the knife back into his belt, and spans the length of the room in seconds, grabbing my collar and walking me backwards until my back hits the wall to the right of the door.

“Why should I believe a single word that leaves your filthy mouth, huh?” He hisses, lips pulled back into a grimace. I feel the familiar fiery burn of hatred bubbling up inside me as the man stares me down, willing me for an answer. “Not only that, but you dare to just step in here unannounced? Unaccompanied? You’re a bloody damn fool if you thought I would just listen to you-“

His grip on my shirt slackens slightly, allowing me to roughly shove him off, keeping his stare all the while. “First of all, fuck you.” I start. ‘Second, that ship you’re moving to attack, your highness, is a stolen warship IIX run by a bunch of marauders, ask Wooyoung if you don’t believe me.”

San continues to gape at me, finally composing himself and barking out a laugh. “Are you crazy princess? I know you’ve had some battle training, being royal scum and all, but me? You’re out of your mind.”

Maeve Bloodborne hates pirates.

They make her skin crawl, make her stomach turn. Filthy Sea Rats she calls them, along with most of the population of Solaris. Aspiring to command a Navy vessel, she trains to harness the power of a ship, trains so that one day she might personally be the demise of an unfortunate pirate ship, blown to pieces by her very own artillery. How exhilarating it would be.

unfortunately, being kidnapped and dragged onto the only pirate ship she is certain she could never take down, was not on her summer itinerary.

(Or: Maeve hates pirates, and Kim Hongjoong captains the most brutal pirate crew seen in generations.)
