James looks up at Sirius – he’s holding an ice pack to his friend’s cheek, clearly thinking of nothing but how long the bruise would last. He had always been bothered by Potter’s potential injuries. James tactfully didn’t specify why that was. He thought Sirius would say if it was necessary.

"I thought it would be unpleasant for you to hear that crap. Why did you do that?"

James's lips twist into a smirk, and he can't help but chuckle. Who better than Sirius to know that James would never take words thrown at him by a stranger as truth or an insult? However, of course, he wouldn’t let anyone hurt his friends.

"I thought it would be unpleasant for you to hear that crap."

Sirius laughs, shoving the ice pack into his friend’s hand. James thought that he probably had the same thoughts in his head that had just been in his own. It wouldn’t be surprising at all – over the last five years, they had become so close that people might consider them brothers. James had always wanted a brother, but it turned out it wasn’t necessary to share parents with the one you consider a soulmate.

james potter shines so bright that he's not even able to see the shadow he cast. just like the sun.

sirius may be the brightest star, but in the end of a day there's a lot of stars in the night sky and they all are the same.

people could look at the moon, could recognize her in the night sky. but after all moon are just locked to the earth and the sun, only shows her near side. so does remus.

however, people like to romanticize the sun, the moon, the stars. they never romanticize the earth itself. cause its boring, right? earth doesn't deserve enough attention. peter never got one.

marauders as heathers just think about it. they finally can be seen as a kinda toxic friends group of popular rich school kids who they actually ARE

james is heather chandler, peter is duke and sirius as mcnamara

james charismatic, loved, obviously handsome and knows it. he's a natural leader and it's seems like he's good to everyone. and even if he's not people be like "it's just a joke, yall", "james would never do it on purpose" or "well, its such a small mistake from such a perfect person, who cares". james only treats his friends actually well. however, he also too blind to see that his behavior reflects on his friends too. that he may be not as perfect and rightful as he thinks. james and his popularity shines so bright, he's not able to see the shadow it cast.

james and sirius seems to have very close relationship. sirius dad is loaded and he's his favorite son. pretty, talented, he obviously gonna have a perfect life after school. sirius may be a little rebellious but its fine while he still a heir of the house of black. he's actually very alike to james, but never try to get the spotlight cause its james place and sirius love james so much.

however, its peter who would like to steal the spotlight. yeah, he feels safe, actually having fun with james and sirius. but they never really see him as equal. he just there and thats all. peter pretend that it's fine, it's okay. it's not. it never was.

the heathers. the marauder's. the most popular kids in school. rich spoiled kids. everyone adores them and they enjoying it obviously.

hogwarts just a playground to them.
