I’m still here… still breathing but with some difficulty… but I’m hoping to return to my hobby!

The Heart Is A Wolf is one I’d like to try to complete. I’ve had the ending on my head since I started it, I will say fanatic Jonsa shippers will not like it, but anyone who knows my fics will not be surprised, as I don’t ship Jon with Sansa (unless it’s a political move, like it is in the fic), but with Arya. And I ship Sansa with Robb or, sometimes, Harry or Tommen.

I’m just waiting to buy a new laptop. In the meantime, I’ve been typing out drabbles and fic ideas out on my phone, which drives me absolutely insane. But it’s at least helping me save some creativity moments. I’ve also done the old ways of pen to paper for the longer inspirations/ideas. So that when I get that laptop I just have to copy it. TBH, pen to paper is refreshing for me, and it’s a break from electronics/technology. I’m just not crazy about the double work lol.

i just reread masque of masks and i remembered how much i love it 🙏 i saw in one of your comments that you entertained the idea of writing a prequel to the whole story and now i cant stop thinking about that. it’s been a while since you’ve been active on ao3 but do you think you’ll ever write the prequel or just get back into writing robbsa in general? it’s such an interesting and complex relationship and there’s hardly any fics of them and i was just wondering if your heart is still in it because i’m literally dying for more fics about them and your robbsa stories are always absolutely amazing.

I’m still breathing so there’s always a chance I’ll take up my writing hobby again. I hadn’t been on AO3 for a long while, so in the past few weeks, I logged on and responded to all the unread comments I had on everything.

I’ve had the urge to start again, just have to wait for a new laptop because my only means is my tiny phone and that would drive me crazy. My intentions are to either put out some short Drabble to start, like snippets of fic ideas, then maybe take up the WIPs I’ve left open, like Heart of A Wolf and my Merlin fic with Arthur/Morgana. So we shall see!

I have a few ideas for Robbsa, a prequel for Masque of Masks is one of them, maybe a sequel to Don’t Stop Swaying with Lorsa/Benjen and Loras/Renly… I consider Masque of Masks my most uneven and weakest story because it was my first and I just made up everything as I went along, but I’m also proud of it as it’s the first full fic I had ever done.

Also, I’ve tried watching other series/shows to see if any characters spark fanfic flames… Stranger Things I definitely am a Steve/Nancy… You I am all for Love/Forty… Cobra Kai Robby/Sam (which of course IRL canon is better lol)… but nothing hits me like the Robbsa pairing.

Long story less long, I am hoping to get back to it soon. I’ve had some pretty unsavory health issues and diagnoses which has derailed me in the past couple of years, but now I’ve been wanting to get back to a hobby that I can enjoy.

Also wether you dummies want to accept it or not, AO3 is THE proshipper site. Made by and for proshippers. Those who don’t know that are clearly new to fandom and way too young to know the history. It’s not a claim it’s the literal history of it.

Short summary of the history. Fanfic.net mainly but many fanfiction sites were purging fics and censoring content. Group of people decided to create an archive with a thorough tagging system that upholds anti-censorship and fandom etiquette (proshipper ideals). They created AO3 for that purpose. Which is why it’s in their literal GUIDLINES that they DO NOT delete fics based on ‘this is icky fiction’ reports. They literally had to make an article recently going over these things BECAUSE of you idiots.

So yes, to the Antis that still want to act like us proshippers are just ‘claiming things’ and are clearing uneducated, AO3 IS A PROSHIPPER SITE BASED AROUND KEY PROSHIP IDEAS AND FANDOM ETIQUETTE (which is Proship).

Watching TikTok try and rewrite fandom history by saying fandom culture was created by teenage girls makes me eye twitch to an extent I’ve never felt it twitch before. The middle aged women printing out Spirk erotica to share with each other in the 1900s did not die for this!!!! How dare you erase our important historic moments!!! Thank you! I’ve always wanted to get back to writing, or at least post the snippets/paragraphs of what I have unpublished, to see if there’s any interest. I’ve figured once I get my house in order - literally and figuratively - I’ll return to the hobby. I hadn’t realized the last thing I’ve written on AO3 was in 2021. Since I’ve decided to make 2024 my year to focus on being financially frugal, it would be a great time to get back into my free hobby, yes? 😊🤞🍀
