I’m writing a fic which I have been for months, but I don’t think I’ve posted anything about it in here. Anyway, it’s a The 100 fix and I’m almost done with the second season. It’s already posted on both my ao3 and Wattpad. But I want to know if I should keep Maya alive or not. I’m kind of intrigued on how the story would go. Thoughts?

“light” - Jegulus microfic - @into-the-jeggyverse - 792 words
“family gathering” - 25 Days of Jegumas - Day 23 - @noblehouseofgay
Regulus is pacing in their bedroom when James walks in.
“Reg?” James tries to get his attention, but Regulus is too far in his own head to respond. James walks towards Regulus and stands at the end of where he’s pacing. “Regulus?” He tries again when Regulus is in front of him. James reaches out but doesn’t touch him. But Regulus quickly wraps his hands around James’ forearms and looks him directly in the eyes.
“Dark green or light green?” Regulus asks, desperately.
James looks equally concerned and confused. “What?”
Regulus walks over to their bed where there are two jumpers, a dark green and a light green.
“Which one do I wear, James?” He asks, and he sounds frantic. “The dark green is too nice; it’ll make me look like I’m trying too hard. But I wore the light green one last week when I hung out with Barty. And that’s all it is. A jumper you throw on to hang out with friends when you don’t care what you look like.” Regulus rants and starts pacing again. “And I have nothing in between. Which means I should probably go shopping, but that doesn’t help me—”
“Regulus?” James cuts him off softly. Regulus turns to him with an exasperated sigh. “This isn’t about the jumpers, is it?” James asks gently.
Regulus stares at James for a moment then slumps his shoulders with another defeated sigh. “I’m so nervous, Jamie.” His voice sounds small even to him.
James instantly wraps Regulus in his arms, “Love. You don’t have to go. Not if it makes you this anxious. I don’t want—”
Regulus is shaking his head against James’ chest before he cuts him off “I want to go.” His voice is muffled but firm. “I want to go so badly. It’s just that…” He trails off and shakes his head.
James leads them over to sit on the edge of the bed. He takes Regulus’ hands in his and rubs soothing circles. He doesn’t say anything, he just waits and lets Regulus gather his thoughts. After a long moment Regulus takes a deep breath.
“I’ve never been to a family gathering before.” He starts and James furrows his eyebrows. “We had family events, and it was always a production, a performance.” Regulus explains. “I was expected to be silent and invisible. Tonight, I’m going to have to talk and socialize and I don’t know how to do that. Especially with people I don’t know. And especially with important people. And I want to meet your family so badly but they’re so important to you and I’m not going to know what to say or how to act and I want them to like me, but I don’t want—”
“Baby.” James cuts off Regulus’ spiral and cups his cheeks. “I love you so much.” He tells him with a soft smile. “And I hate that it’s making you anxious and nervous. But it means so much to me that you’re excited to meet my family.”
“James! I’m not excited. I’m terrified!” Regulus cuts in.
“I think you might be terrified because you’re excited.” James says and Regulus narrows his eyes skeptically. James looks at him thoughtfully for a moment. “Okay. It’s okay. You don’t have to go if you don’t want to. I promise—”
“I want to go, James!” Regulus cuts him off again. “I want to meet your family. I want to talk to your Abuela about her poetry, because the poems you showed me are beautiful. And you said one of your cousins is going to Cambridge to study Astronomy and I’d love to talk to him. And Effie is so excited to introduce me to her sisters. I want to go, James. I’m just… nervous and terrified and anxious and—”
“Regulus.” James cuts in with a giant smile. “You’re going to be fine, love” He tells him. “And I’m going to be there the whole time. And mom and dad will be there. And we can always step away if you need a minute to yourself… I know you’re nervous, Reg. But I promise, it’ll be okay.” His smile gets impossibly wider. “And they’re going to love you.”
Regulus sighs and turns to lean against James’ side, and he starts nervously fidgeting with his fingers. He thinks about everything he just said and everything James just said and everything he’s feeling. He’s quiet for a few minutes then he takes a deep breath.
“I’m still nervous.” He whispers.
“I know.” James says simply.
“Okay.” Regulus sighs and nods his head. “Jamie?” Regulus says after a moment. James hums in response. “Dark green or light green?” Regulus asks and James huff a tiny laugh then hums again.
“Why don’t you wear the navy one mom got you?” He suggests.
Regulus sits up straight and looks directly at James. “Well, why didn’t you say that before? This whole thing could have been avoided!”

Bellatrix smiles at all the decorations she helped set up. Well, she told the Kreacher where she wanted everything, and he told the servants the same in return. She just sat back in a chair and watched, making sure everything is where it needs to be. She yelled at the servants a few times because they almost ruined everything and ripped the red velvet curtains she spent a lot of money on and has to return before her parents or aunts and uncles find out, but she still sat back and read one of her girlfriend’s articles she had written.
Narcissa and Andromeda are out getting the food for the party, Sirius is at the Black manor making sure no one finds out where they’re all going, and Regulus is at the doors holding back the piling up guests, only letting in their friends. Ophelia had arrived first which she had been let in by Regulus so she can talk to Bella about logistics of the party before everyone starts piling in.
Bella had made Ophelia the party planner because she can’t plan worth shit. Doing anything other than watching others do things has never been her strong suit. She still helped with anything Ophelia needed an opinion on, though, which was mostly everything. Bellatrix doesn’t think Ophelia has ever worked a day in her life either. I mean, she’s planning on marrying rich and hopefully never having to work.
“So, is everything perfect?” Ophelia asks finally, setting down her pad of paper and a quill she was using to check everything off.
Bellatrix takes a sigh of relief. “Yes.” She replies, kicking back and setting her feet on Ophelia’s legs. “Do you think she’ll like it?” Bellatrix asks her hesitantly.
“She likes fancy parties, right?” Bellatrix nods in return, chewing on her bottom lip. She’s liked all the parties the Black family has thrown and has even written articles about them. She’s loved fancy parties since she was little. Or at least since she was eleven. “Then she’ll like it.”
“Are you sure?”
“Are you sure about this?”
Bellatrix bites her bottom lip harder and finally looks at her friend's face. “I don’t know. Everyone else thinks so, but I have no idea.”
“Are you ready?”
“I am but I don’t think I’ll ever be ready to actually do it.” She sighs. “It doesn’t matter if I’m ready or not, it matters if she’s ready.” She looks over to more of their friends piling in, or, if you want to get technical, Regulus and Sirius’ friends who became hers. “I’m scared of getting rejected, Lia.” Bellatrix says, looking back to her friend's face.
“Everyone is.” Ophelia reassures. “But if you really want to do this before your family has a chance to hitch you off to someone else, you should do it.”
“They already tried, Lia.” Tears prick at Bellatrix’s eyes, threatening to spill. “I’m supposed to get married to Rudolphus Lestrange before I’m twenty.”
“So don’t, Bels.”
“But if I don’t, Andy will have to and then Cissa if she doesn’t, and I can’t do that to them. It’s my responsibility.”
“They’ll still have to get married to someone, Bels.”
“But it won’t be Rudolphus.”
“Talk to your parents. I’m sure they’ll understand.”
Bellatrix shakes her head. “They won’t. My aunt might, but they won’t.”
“So talk to her.”
“It’s Walburga, Lia. She might have understood years ago, but she won’t now.” She used the killing curse on someone just because they wanted food at their doorstep. She’s cruel. At least she is now. James had told them stories of his mother dating the ruthless Walburga Black.
‘Back then, she wasn’t ruthless,’ his mother had told him. ‘She was kind and affectionate. Not like she is now.’
Maybe back then she would’ve understood, but now? She won’t. She’ll torture her if she even mentions not wanting a marriage, let alone wanting to marry a witch, a Skeeter, at that. Maybe they can run away. They all can run away and live a happy life with their partners. “So, don't talk to her, Trix. Propose to her. Do it.”
Bellatrix smiles at her getting down on one knee in front of Rita. She'll say yes excitedly, and they’d kiss. They’d kiss with a thousand more suns than before because they’re getting married. Then she frowns, picturing the alternative. Her saying no and walking right out of the party, not ever talking to her again because why would she think they were something more than girlfriends?
“What if she says no?”
“Do it anyway, Trix.” Ophelia states, grabbing her legs and shaking them. “Do what you want or once. Not what your family wants you to. What you want.”
Bellatrix smiles at her friend and takes her legs back and places them on the ground. She hugs her and bounces up, running to the doors. “Reggie! Let them in! All of them!” She rushes back to the ballroom and spins around in the center of the room, laughing as people crowd around the ballroom. She’s doing this. She’s proposing to Rita Skeeter. Her Rita.
Hours later, Rita is laughing with some of her friends and Bellatrix smiles at her bright smile. She’s smiling and it hurts Bella’s with how much her heart is beating out of her chest. A champagne glass sits in Rita’s hand as she talks and laughs. Bellatrix plays with the ring box in the pocket of her long black dress that Pandora had sewn in for her. She was thinking about wearing the suit Rita had bought for her, but she loved this dress Rita had also bought for her even more.
She clears her throat and taps her glass that’s sitting on a table beside her with a spoon. It draws everyone’s attention, along with Rita’s bright smile and Ophelia’s encouraging gaze along with her cousins and sisters' curious glances. She hasn’t told anyone what she’s planning beside her best friend, and it might have been the worst decision because all there is, are curious glances and one encouraging one.
But that one glance gives her enough power to walk over to the blonde goddess and pull her to the middle of the room. She sets Rita’s glass on a table and smiles at her. “I love you so much, Rita. You have no idea. You make my heart burst with joy that I haven’t felt since I was five. You are my heart, Ri, and I love that you are my whole world. And I want you to be my whole world until we die.” Bellatrix adjusts her dress and gets down on one knee. The crowd gasps and so does Rita. “I want to be with you even in the afterlife, Ri.” She takes the blonde’s limp hands that are hanging at her sides and takes them in hers. “Rita, will you marry me?”
Rita’s breath stalls and her eyes search Bellatrix’s face for any, well, Bellatrix doesn’t know what. Maybe some sort of joke? Promise? She doesn’t know, but the face on Rita’s stalls her heart. It scares her. She has a remorseful look on her face, and it scares Bella. “Bels,” Rita starts, softly. Bellatrix closes her eyes, tears picking her eyes for a whole different reason than she thought they would be. They’re pricking because Rita’s about to say no. She’s going to say no and Bella can’t do anything about it. “You know I love you just as much, if not more, but,” She pauses as Bellatrix opens her eyes and stands up. “I can’t marry you, Trix. I have a life. We’re only a year out of school. I have a life I want to pursue before I get tied down.”
Tears drop down Bellatrix’s cheeks as she lets go of Rita’s hands. “Will you ever be ready?” She asks her, voice hoarse.
Rita shakes her head hesitantly. “No, Bels. I don’t want to get married.” Tears spill from Bella’s eyes now. “I’m sorry, Trixie.” The blonde rushes out of the building as the crowd stares dumbfounded.
She said no. She didn’t say yes. Bellatrix screams at the top of her lungs and cries. She grabs her wand from her pocket and fires. She fires with meaning. She fires because it’s the only thing she was taught to do with anger, torture, kill. “Avada Kedavra!” She yells, just barely missing Ophelia and hitting a person behind her. She continues the killing curse until there’s no one left in the ballroom except for her. Even her sisters and cousins had left.
She falls to the floor in agony of her raw lungs from screaming the killing curse left and right. Dead bodies surround her. All her friends. All Rita’s friends. Her heart hurts for a completely different reason now, but it still hurts because of the same person, Rita Skeeter. Before it hurt because she loved her so much, now it hurts because she loved her too much and, in the end, it made her turn into what she feared the most. Her family.

Sirius wakes to screams and jumping on his bed. “Dad!” They yell. “Daddy, wake up!” Sirius opens his eyes to see his son down by his feet jumping next to his sisters who are by Remus. Sirius looks over to his husband sitting up, arms crossed over his chest glaring at their children like they just interrupted his reading time, and they probably did.
“You’re supposed to be with your uncle.” Remus says to them, voice soft, but still an angry look on his face.
Sirius decides to sit up and Hermione comes to sit down in his lap followed by Violet between Remus and him and Teddy in Remus’s lap. Remus puts his arms around his son as Sirius did with their daughter. “They dropped us off.” Violet answers. “Said we were too crazy.”
“Never said that!” James’s voice comes from the other side of the door before it opens to reveal three more kids running in and jumping on their bed followed by James himself sitting at the end of it.
“Uncle Siri!” Rose yells, jumping on the bed and landing right next to Violet.
Remus glares at James and he just smiles back. “What? They wanted to see their uncle.”
“Doesn’t mean they should.” Remus answers as Mia sits down in James’ lap and Leo beside them.
“But it’s fun to watch you be tortured, Rem.” Regulus says, walking into the room and sitting by James as Leo goes to sit next to him.
Remus glares at him. “Alright, children. Let’s go get breakfast.” Everyone cheers and jumps up, racing down the stairs. Once James and Regulus are out of the room, Remus turns to him. “Bad start to the day?”
Sirius smiles at him and shakes his head. “No. It’s nice.” Remus leans over and kisses him before standing up to get dressed.
Once everyone is in the car, Sirius calls James and he answers on the first ring. “Where are we going?” James asks over the phone.
“Just follow us.” Remus says, starting the car.
“You sure you know where you’re going?”
“Yes, James. Just tell Regulus to follow us.”
“Who says I’m not driving?”
“You’re a bad driver. Of course it’s Regulus.” Sirius giggles at his husband’s response and hangs up the phone before a fight could break out.
“So, where are we going?” Sirius asks once they start moving.
“It’s a surprise.”
Sirius gasps once they park outside a restaurant. “Perkins!?” Sirius yells and reaches over the middle console to kiss Remus. Disgusted sounds come from the back and the two partners in the front laugh before stepping out of the car.
The six kids race to the doors and pull them open, Rose waiting for her fathers and uncles before closing it behind them and racing inside the other doors which Leo’s holding for them.
The breakfast was amazing to say the least, Sirius gets the same thing everytime, pancakes and bacon, he never mixes it up. He tried once, and it sucked, he was starving until lunch time because he couldn’t even eat a second bite of anything.
Sirius hums all the way back to the car, happy he got to see his brother for breakfast before they went on their way. “Happy birthday, Padfoot.” James says once they pull apart from their hug.
Regulus walks up to them once the kids are in their seats and buckled. “Happy birthday, Sirius.”
“Thanks for coming.” Sirius replies.
“James had to see you.”
James dramatically gasps. “I thought we agreed the kids wanted to see him? Rude.” Regulus rolls his eyes at his husband before walking to their car, followed by James seconds later.
Sirius gets in their car followed by Remus a few minutes later. “So, where to next?” Remus asks him.
“Home.”
“Board games!?” The kids scream once Sirius comes out of the hall closet with stacked games in his arms.
“We’re playing board games?” Remus asks, unamused.
“Well, if we have kids, might as well do something fun.” Remus rolls his eyes but sits down on the ground nonetheless. “What do you want to play first?” Sirius asks the kids once he’s sitting down beside Remus, games in the middle of the circle they formed.
“Candy land!” Teddy yells, grabbing it from the pile and a game piece from the coffee table. They had to buy an extra game piece for every game that only had four players. Family game night is when they usually play games, but Sirius likes the games so much, he tries to have game night more than once, but Remus likes reading more than games.
They play the games until their stomachs start growling and Remus goes to make dinner while the others play and even after dinner, they continue to play until the sun is down and the moon is up and it’s the kids' bedtime.
They groan as they walk up the stairs to their rooms, but they fall asleep quickly with how tired they were. After all the kids are asleep, Sirius drags Remus down the stairs and back to the floor to beat him at all the games. Of course Sirius didn’t win most of them, but Remus let him win some like he always does.
Sirius does his victory dance the whole night, even if he lost the games, he still won, because he has the most beautiful husband ever and the best kids he could ask for, even if they’re not always angels.

Teddy! What are you doing!” Andromeda laughs as she stumbles and almost falls, but her husband catches her. “I can’t see!”
“That’s the point.”
“I almost fell twice already.”
“And I caught you.”
Andromeda hears giggling in the distance. “Are those the girls? I thought they were at home.”
“They were in the car with us and they ran past us a little bit ago.”
“Are you crazy!?” Andromeda yells, stopping and trying to take off the blindfold, but gives up when her husband's hands won’t move to take it off. “They could get hurt, Ted!”
“They know where to go and as long as I can see them, they’re fine.”
“But how long will you be able to see them?”
“Stop worrying, everything is fine.” Andromeda groans in frustration and continues walking. When they finally stop, Andromeda collapses on the ground of exhaustion and immediately gets two body weights on either side of her.
“Hello, girls.”
“Hi mom!” Nymphadora says, almost screaming into her ear.
Andromeda flinches and scrunches up her nose before bringing her hand to her ear that her daughter screamed in. “I can hear you just fine, Dora. You don’t have to scream.”
“Sorry, mom.” She responds, laying down beside her on her arm that she put back on the ground.
“Come on, Nina.” Andromeda says, tapping her youngest daughter’s side or shoulder or whatever it is. Lay down.” Andromeda puts her arm back down and Nina lays on top of it.
“Comfy?’ Ted asks.
Andromeda nods. “We’ll stay here.”
“You can’t.”
“Sure we can.”
“I mean you can, but we have other things to do. Dora, take your mothers blindfold off.” Andromeda feels both her daughters get up and then hands on her face. Her eyes are blurry for a second but then she sees a lake and a picnic blanket with a basket on it.
She looks over to her husband who is now holding the scarf that was used as the blindfold and their two daughters beside him. “It looks like the black lake.”
“Yes, but without all the creatures.” He pauses. “Besides fish.”
“I don’t even have my bathing suit.”
Nina runs over to a bag beside the basket and dumps out all its contents. She holds up a red bikini top and bottoms. Andromeda smiles at her. “I thought of everything.” Ted says, smugly, walking to her while Dora runs to her sister to change.
“A changing room?”
“Brought a divider. It’s set up right behind that tree.” He points to a tree where she can see a little of the divider. Andromeda smiles as the girls run to it to get changed.
“Well, I guess we better go get our bathing suits on before they decide to jump in.” The couple walks to the picnic blanket and grabs their bathing suits and walks to the divider where Nina’s waiting for her sister to get done. Nymphadora runs out to the blanket and flops down on it after putting her clothes in the bag. Ted walks in the changing room with Nina to help get her ready while Andromeda waits outside.
Once all four are in their bathing suits, they all sit down on the blanket and start eating. Andromeda grabs the strawberries and eats a couple before her daughters drag them both to the water. Andromeda laughs as Dora splashes ted with water and he splutters, shocked.
They play in the water for a while before getting out and eating some more before going back home. Andromeda smiles as they walk down the trail at her two daughters playing together farther ahead of them. Ted pulls her into him and kisses her forehead. “Did you like today?” He asks.
“I did. Thank you.”
“Thank you, my love, for spending time with us.”
“Why wouldn’t I?’ She asks, looking up to him.
“You haven’t spent time with your friends in months. I figured you’d spend today with them.”
Andromeda hums, looking back to the trail. “No, that’s for tomorrow. Today is just about us.”
“You mean you.”
Andromeda chuckles. “Sure.”
He kisses her forehead again. “Happy birthday, love.”

You can’t hold me here, Mother!”
“I am your mother, Regina!” Walburga yells back. “You will listen to me!”
“I can leave any time I want!” Regina yells. “Sirius and Andromeda did! So why can’t I!?”
“You have no one to go to, Regina.” Walburga walks up to her. “Absolutely no one. No one cares about you. Not even I.”
“Fuck you, Mother . I hate you.” She sneers. “I will always hate you. I’m leaving and you can’t stop me.”
Walburga smacks her daughter’s cheek. “I can and will.” Regina holds her cheek and runs up the stairs. She slams her door and locks it so her mother can’t get in. She flops down on her bed and stares at the letter sitting on the desk. She hasn’t read it yet, but she knows if she wants closer, she’ll have to. She stands up and sits down in the chair, gently grabbing the letter and slowly opening it. The first word she reads is, Regulus. Regina takes a shaky inhale and starts reading the whole letter.
Regulus, you can get away. You can run from that house. I did and I made it. You can, too. Andy and Uncle Alphard made it. It’s time for you to get out of there, too, Reggie. And I know mother still calls you by your deadname. That’s not right, Reg. You have been going by Regulus since you were twelve and it’s time you get away from people who still call you Regina. I know James would love to see or even hear about you living your best life, even if it’s not with him.
Either way, just tell me what you’re feeling. If you don’t want to run, that’s fine. You still have me to talk to. But if you do run, Effie and Monty have a room for you and your friends are waiting here for you, too. They wait by the door or even sleep in your room sometimes waiting for you, and even if they don’t admit it, they miss you and want you out of that house just like they got out of theirs. I know they’d be happy if you just ran and didn’t stop running until you decided to call someplace home, even if that wasn’t with them. So, just, please, get out of there and live your best life whether that’s with us or without us, it doesn’t matter, just get out of there.
Love, your brother, Sirius
Regina smiles at the letter and stands up and grabs a suitcase from her closet and starts shoving clothes in it. Which is weird because she’s a neat freak and hates when things are all messy, especially when people just throw stuff, but her brother is right, it’s time she gets out of that house and away from her parents. So, instead of weeping in her room all day, she decided to get out of there, forever.
She runs down the stairs with her suitcase in hand and just runs, runs right out the door and doesn’t stop until she finds someplace hidden. She then pulls out her wand and apparates where she’s been many times, The Potter residence.
She smiles at the door before ringing the doorbell and putting her wand away. An older lady answers the door. “Hello. I don’t think we were expecting anyone today.” She backs up. “Come. Come in.” She then walks to the steps and yells, “Kids! Were you expecting anyone today!?”
“No, Mum!” A boy yells back and Regina closes her eyes, recognizing it immediately, James’s voice.
The older woman hums and turns back to her. “Well, then, what is your name?”
“Regi- Regulus. Regulus Black.”
The woman gasps. “Oh my. Should I call Sirius down? Or Barty? Or any of your other friends?”
Regulus shakes his head. “No. I think I'll surprise them.” Regulus sets his suitcase down by the door. “Just a quick question.”
Effie stops and turns around. “What is it dear?”
“How many of my friends are here? Living here?”
Effie hums and starts counting on her fingers. “Well, there’s Lily, Dorcas, Barty, Pandora, Evan, Sirius, Remus, Emma, Aurora, and my son, James.”
“Why do you let everyone live here?”
“Because it’s the nice thing to do and that’s just how my parents taught me.” Effie chuckles a little. “Well, not this nice, but that’s just how I am and how I raised James to be. Some people don’t have good homes like James does, so they need someplace to live or even stay for a few days and that’s what I give them. A place to stay or one to live. Most choose to live but some, like Peter and Alice and Frank, they choose to stay for the summer or a few days because they have nice homes and would miss their family too much. It’s just what this family does, sweetheart, and I hope you get to be a part of that.”
Regulus smiles. “I hope so too.”
“So, I need to make another bedroom?”
Regulus nods. “Yeah, I’m living.”
***
“My sweet,” Regulus says, lovingly. “We are not having another child.”
“But-”
“Three is enough.”
James sighs and flops down in the chair behind him. “I think we should.” He mumbles.
“No.” Regulus replies, sternly.
“Why can’t we-”
“It’s not your body, now is it?”
James’s face falls and he leans his head on his hand. “You know-”
“No, James.”
“Fine!” James groans. “I won’t put another baby inside you.”
“Good.”
“Guess that means we can never do the fun stuff again.”
Regulus’s head whips up from his book. “What?” James looks to the other side of him. “James,”
“What?” He asks, turning his head back to him. “What is it, love?” Regulus opens his mouth but closes it again. He doesn’t even know what to say to that. James sighs and stands up to stretch. “Well, better get to bed.”
“James, It’s ten.”
“So?”
“AM.”
“So?”
“It’s still morning.”
“So?”
“You just woke up.”
“So?”
“You are not going to bed, James.”
“Are you bossing me around?”
Regulus nods and goes back to his book. “Yep.”
“You said I can't do that.”
“That’s you.”
“So, it’s different when you do it?”
“Yes.”
“How?”
“It just is.”
James hums and walks towards his husband. “Really?” Regulus hears the change in his voice and gulps. Regulus nods back, not being able to get anything out. James takes Regulus’s book and sets it on the stand beside him. When Regulus doesn’t look up, James guides his head up to his. “How is it different?” He whispers.
Regulus gulps again. “It just is.”
James hums and nods. “Yeah?”
Regulus nods. “Yeah.”
“Papa! Daddy!” Euphemia screams, running towards them. James straightens up quickly and looks over to their daughter.
“What, dulce chica?”
“Can we go to the park?” The black-haired girl asks, jumping up and down in excitement.
James looks over to Regulus, he shrugs in return. James looks back to the girl. “Of course. Go tell your brother and sister to get ready.” Mia smiles and runs off, yelling for her siblings. James chuckles and turns back to Regulus. “We can’t ever have any peace, can we?”
Regulus shakes his head at his husband. James leans down and kisses his lips before walking down the hallway to make sure they’re ready in time.
***
Regulus laughs as both him and James lift up their daughter that’s in between them and she squeals. Leo’s walking beside Regulus and holding his other hand while their oldest daughter is walking beside James. Regulus looks in front of them to a woman approaching them. Regulus inhales a breath when he realizes who it is. Walburga.
She glares at the two before looking at the three kids next to them. She bends down in front of the girl in between them and smiles. “Hi.” She says as James tries to hold their daughter back but she just pulls his hand to make him stop. She’s still holding onto her fathers hand when Walburga speaks again. “What’s your name?”
“Euphemia. But Papa and Daddy call me Mia.”
She smiles at the young girl. “Hello, Mia.” She turns to the young boy by Regulus’s side after glaring at the man holding onto his hand still. “What’s your name?”
“Leo.” He mumbles softly.
“Hi, Leo.” Finally, she glares at James then turns to the red-haired girl beside him. “What’s your name?”
Rose holds up her hand in front of her father and he takes it, putting their entwined hands beside them. “Papa said not to talk to strangers.” Rose mumbles.
“But I’m not a stranger.” The older woman says. “Your parents aren’t doing anything to tear you away, are they?” Rose shakes her head. “So, what’s your name?”
“Rose.”
“Nice to meet you, Rose. I’m Walburga, but you can call me Wally.”
“Wally?” Euphemia asks, giggling.
Walburga smiles at the girl.
“Isn’t Wally who grandma always talks about?” Rose asks, looking up to her father. James looks down at her.
“I wouldn’t know. Your grandma doesn’t talk to me about stuff like that.” She looks over to her dad this time. Regulus doesn’t answer, still in shock. Rose turns back to the lady as Mia and Leo laugh. She made them laugh. Regulus thinks. She made my kids laugh.
Regulus snaps out of his daze. “Come on, let’s go to the park.”
“But, I wanna stay.” Leo whines.
“Let’s go see Aunt Lily and Aunt Pandora, then.”
“Eclipse and Luna?” Mia asks, looking up to her dad.
Regulus nods. “And Harry, Lillian, and Lewis.”
Euphemia jumps up and down and pulls her fathers down the sidewalk past Regulus’s mother. Regulus looks back to her as they pass. She smiles at him and turns around to walk away. Regulus turns his head back in front of him. She smiled? What kind of sick bitch smiles?
-
Walburga kept a straight face throughout the whole funeral for her husband. She didn’t cry once because ‘Black’s don’t cry’, at least that’s what her mother always said. So, she hasn’t cried since she was seven. She didn’t want to get crucio’d again. She didn’t even cry when she married Orion, her cousin, when she wanted to marry someone else. They were even talking about their future together when her mother brought up her engagement. Her engagement that was set from the time she was born. The one where she couldn’t get out of it even if she tried. And oh did she try, but her mother always brought her back, time and time again every time.
Euphemia was the love of her life and she couldn’t ever marry her. Ever. So, instead of telling her about the engagement that was set before she was born, she decided to just break it off. And it wasn’t the best way to go about it, either. They had a horrible fight over something she can’t even remember now. Probably something stupid, maybe something important. Walburga couldn’t remember even if she tried.
A few months after their break up in Hogwarts, she was dating a Gryffindor. A Gryffindor that's nice and generous, unlike her, he’s perfect for her. She’s kind and generous and so much more. He doesn’t deserve her and neither did she. After Hogwarts walburga got an invitation to a wedding, one called ‘The Potter Wedding’. Walburga rolls her eyes at the ridiculous name. (Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous) Potter always was like that, one for stupid things. But I guess there’s two Potter’s now. She thinks.
Walburga was surprised by the invitation, not because Effie remembered her, but because she wanted her there. Walburga sighs and slouches in the arm chair, dropping the invitation on the floor as she pulls her hand to her forehead and holds up her head with it.
She can’t go. She never could. She can’t be associated with a blood-traitor, but Salzar does she wish she could. She wishes she cried then, but she didn’t not for years after that. The first time she cried since seven was when Sirius left. It wasn’t because she didn’t want to accept her daughter as the heir, it was because she wishes her daughter went with her son. To get away from this family even though she couldn’t. She was happy one child didn’t turn out like her and she knows her children talked about not turning into her.
She wishes she could’ve stayed with her promise. The one where she promised her brothers to not turn out like their parents, but instead, she did, and so did her youngest brother. The middle brother, though, he got out just like her niece and son. That was the first night she cried over her brother, her niece, her son, and her daughter all in one go.
The second time Walburga cried was when Regina left right after their argument. Their argument that was supposed to be a simple conversation in which Walburga subtly nudged her to leave the house, but turned into a full-blown argument. At least she left. Walburga thought.
So, when Walburga was walking in the park one day and sees someone who looks exactly like her daughter, she realizes her daughter isn’t her daughter, they’re her son. Walburga smiles and about walks away to cry, but sees the smile on her son's face as he lifts up a girl with another man. The little girl laughs and gets set back on the ground. Her son is holding a little boy’s hand and the other man is trying to get the other girl to hold his other hand.
She decides to walk up to them, but doesn’t show her smile. She’s gotten good at that over the years, having to hide her excitement and discomfort. She couldn’t when she was with Effie, though. She always brought out the emotions in her. All of them.
She glares at the two men, not wanting to show them she actually cares and squats down in front of the girl and smiles. “Hi.” She says. “What’s your name?”
“Euphemia. But Papa and Daddy call me Mia.”
Named after her grandmother. Walburga thinks. She smiles again at the young girl. “Hello, Mia.” She turns to the young boy by Regulus’s side after glaring at the man holding onto his hand still. “What’s your name?”
“Leo.” He mumbles softly.
“Hi, Leo.” Finally, she glares at the other man, not wanting to reveal she cares, then turns to the red-haired girl beside him. “What’s your name?”
The red-haired girl reaches her hand up to her fathers to hold hands. He does and puts them at their sides. “Papa said not to talk to strangers.” Rose mumbles.
“But I’m not a stranger.” She is, but her son isn’t doing anything.
Walburga looks up also. The man looks down at her.
“I wouldn’t know. Your grandma doesn’t talk to me about stuff like that.”
“Mia, Leo.” Their heads go over to her and away from the other conversation. “Why did the scarecrow win an award?” She asks.
“Why?” Leo asks.
“Because he was outstanding in his field.” The two kids laugh at the joke that their grandmother taught her and it’s stayed in her head ever since sixth year.
“Come on, let’s go to the park.” Walburga's son says. Walburga nods and stands up, understanding that he’s trying to get his kids away from her.
“But, I wanna stay.” Leo whines.
“Let’s go see Aunt Lily and Aunt Pandora, then.”
“Eclipse and Luna?” Mia asks, looking up to her dad.
He nods. “And Harry, Lillian, and Lewis.”
Euphemia jumps up and down and pulls her fathers down the sidewalk past her. Walburga sees them walking away and then her son's head turns to her. She smiles at him, hoping he gets the message that she still cares no matter what. She then walks away, not wanting to disturb them anymore than she already has.
She closes her eyes as she leans against her front door, slides down, and sobs on the floor.

Mary wakes up in a hot sweat from her dream, her horrible disturbing dream. She looks over to the man beside her. “Fuck.” She whispers into the quiet room. She gets up going to the bathroom. She stops at the bedroom that’s opened just a smidge. Two beds are there, one on either side of the room, both sides decorated to resemble the kids who live there. She looks at the door, one side says, Lilo and the other Lena.
She opens the door a little more to see the two beautiful children sleeping in their beds, peaceful. She sighs and continues walking to the bathroom. She looks at the wall where there’s a bunch of photos decorating the walls. She looks at the one with her and two other girls, one red-head and the other blonde. She knows them, she just saw them a week ago, but they aren’t the faces she expected them to be.
She rushes to the closet in the hallway, pulling out a box filled with photographs. She put them in a box, knowing they were important but no idea why, until now. She picks the first one up and smiles. The faces she was looking for. Marlene and Lily. She picks up another one. Four boys. Peter, James, Sirius, and Remus. The last two kissing while the first takes the photo and the second smiling at his friends.
She puts that one beside her next to the other one and pulls out a lot more, most of them with her and those four boys and two girls, but some of them included others. The faces she’s missed the most. The last one she comes across, though, is her Emmeline, and a baby. Their baby, Penelope.
She intakes a breath and shoves the photographs back in the box, standing up quickly with them and rushing back to her room and to her closet. She grabs at random, not even caring if they match and throwing them on. She grabs her phone from her nightstand, leaving a note for Darren, her husband, and waking up the two girls in the nearby bedroom.
She ignores their questions of, ‘What’s going on?’, ‘Mom?’, and so on. Instead she dresses the twins and puts them in the car, along with the box and a bag of both hers and her kids’s clothes. She gets in also and starts driving to god knows where. The sun starts peeking up at the horizon, Mary going towards it to reach a hill, one she hasn’t been to in years, but still managed to stay close.
She looked back at the kids at one point, both asleep and smiled. They looked like a carbon copy of her. Emmeline would find that funny. She thinks. Penelope had always looked like Emmeline most, but her attitude was all Mary.
She climbs the hill, hoping the car doesn’t roll back, luckily, it doesn’t and she makes it. She parks the car, making sure it’s away from the whomping willow, and gets out, unbuckling her kids and helping them out. She grabs their hands after locking the car, and starts walking to the entrance. She immediately walks to Gryffindor tower, and says the password, of course it’s not the right one. “Fat Lady, tell me the password.”
“I most certainly will not.”
“It’s me. Mary.”
“Mary who?”
“Macdonald.” The Fat Lady gasps immediately opening up for her. She walks in, going straight for the girls dormitory. She has no idea why, she knows her friends aren’t there, but she still does. She gasps at the red-headed curls in Lily’s bed. “Lily?” She asks quietly. The girl stirs and almost screams when she sees her before Mary clamps a hand against her mouth. “Shh. Don’t wake the others." The girl's eyes go wide. “I’m not trying to hurt you, I promise. Just come with me.” The girl eyes her suspiciously before nodding.
Mary takes her hand of her mouth and walks down to the common room, along with her kids, sitting down on the couch. “Who are you?” The girl asks, sitting down next to her. “And how did you get in here?”
“The Fat Lady of course. She loves me.”
The girl scoffs. “She hates everyone.”
“No, she only started acting like that when everyone started dying. Especially her favorite, Regulus.”
“Regulus? Who’s-”
“Regulus Black. The brightest wizard of his age, and surprisingly nice for a Slytherin, but I guess that had to do because of James.”
“Who are you, exactly?”
“You know, you look exactly like her. Lily.” Mary stares at her kids playing on the rug. “Now, she was the brightest witch of her age.” Mary sighs. “She was my best friend. Along with Marlene. We were called the Valkyries.” Mary looks back at the girl. “We were the second best group in all of Hogwarts. Third, if you count Reggie’s group, the Skittles.”
“Who named that?”
“Pandora. Pandora Rosier.” She looks back at her kids. “She knew they were all destined to die from the beginning but didn’t acknowledge it until her brother died.”
“What was his name?”
“Evan. Evan Rosier.” Mary laughs. “God, and that boyfriend of his, Bartemius Crouch Jr. He preferred Barty, but we loved to make fun of him.” Mary sighs. “Whatever happened to him? After James and Lily’s death?”
“I- wait, James and Lily Potter? Harry’s parents?”
Mary hums. “Yes, I forgot they had a son. Merlin, they were all in my head. Every minute of every day.” She looks back at the girl. “Say, how are the twins and Molly?”
“The twins? Fred and George?’
“No, the original twins. Fabian and Gideon. The ones they were named after. Molly’s younger brothers.”
“I didn’t know mom had any siblings.”
“Mom?” Mary gasps. “Oh, my, you’re Molly’s daughter.”
She nods. “Ginny Weasley.”
“Did Pandora ever have any kids?”
“Pandora who?”
“Rosier. I told her to name the child Luna Evan if it was a girl. Evan if it was a boy.” Mary laughs. “She was going to marry Lily. Luna Evan Evans. Imagine how that would’ve sounded.”
“I know a Luna Lovegood.”
“Lovegood? You mean Xeno?” Ginny nods. “Hm, I wasn’t in contact with her when she married him. Only found she was having a baby from Lils.” Ginny looks at the kids who’ve waltzed over to them, rummaging through Ginny’s pockets and pulling out a wand. Ginny tries to grab for it but they walk away. “Girls! Give it here.” They walk over to their mother and hand the wand over. “Presto Playo.” Suddenly toys appear on the carpet and the kids run for them as Mary hands the wand back to the girl.
“You know magic?”
She nods. “Muggle, just like Lily.” Mary just now realized she was so out of it, she was just rambling. “Mary Macdonald, by the way.” She stands up. “I better go find Minnie.”
“Who’s Minnie?”
“Minerva McGonagall. House head.” She pulls up her children, both willingly following their mother. Mary smiles as she heads to the sleeping chambers she knows so well from pranking her so much. She knocks on the door just as she hears hushed footsteps.
“You don’t want to go in there.” Ginny says, walking up to her.
“Nonsense, she’ll want to see me.”
The door opens and then there's a wand pointed at her. “Mrs. Weasley, I will take care of this. Go back to bed.”
“But, Mrs. McGonagall, I don’t think she’s an intruder.”
“Go back to bed.”
The girl hangs her head and walks back to her dorm. “Minnie, are you going to wish me a happy birthday?” Mary asks the woman, not at all concerned about the wand pointed at her.
“Birthday? But the only birthday today is- Mary?” She asks, putting the wand down.
“Hey, Minnie. It’s good to see you.”
“Mary, oh my god. You’re - you’re.”
“I’m okay, Minnie. I promise.”
Minnie pulls her in for a hug. “Hold on, just let me get dressed.” She closes the door but opens it back up. “I’ll meet you in the common room.” She was about to close it. “Gryffindor. Not Slytherin.” Mary laughs and nods as she closes the door.
Mary walks back to the common room, remembering the fun times she had sneaking into both Slytherin and Ravenclaw common rooms. She might not have been dating anyone in those houses, but her friends sure were, and she loved catching them in the act. Mary laughs as she walks back in the common room, kids crowded around the Weasley girl. Her kids run for the toys that were left in the common room to go play with.
The children look over at her when she walks in, along with Lilo and Lena. “Who is she?’ The kids whisper.
“It’s not nice to gossip.” Mary says. “But I guess I can’t say anything since I was the one spreading the gossip.”
“You and Marlene.” Minnie says from behind her. Mary turns to her. “Lily was always trying to stop you.” Mary smiles.
“So was Emmeline. God do I miss her.”
“Children, go to breakfast.” The kids argue but eventually go, not wanting to upset their head. “Now, Mary, why are you here?”
“I wanted to know about my daughter.” She says, walking out of the portrait hole with Minnie and her twins. “Penelope.”
Minnie hums. “She is a good student. Studies hard. A Ravenclaw.”
Mary chuckles. “Just like her mother.”
Minnie nods. “Yes. Just like both of them.”
“Where is she?’ Mary asks, wanting to see her.
“I have no idea. She didn’t come to school this year.”
“Oh, any idea why?”
Minnie shakes her head as they turn a corner. “No, I’m sorry. I’m trying to get custody of her, but it’s pretty hard, considering I don’t have a job I can go around and tell people about.”
Mary nods. “Right. I have a job, though.” Minnie looks at her, signaling for her to elaborate. “Interior designer.” Mary chuckles. “Emmeline always told me I could be that if I wanted, but I never believed her.” She looks up at the older lady. “She was right, of course. Like always.” She looks back at the hallway as they reach the doors to the great hall.
Mary opens the doors and spots the one teacher she despised from the beginning. “Albus.” She sneers. And beside him, “Is that Severus?”
Minnie nods. “Not a good teacher. I don’t know why Albus trusts him, let alone hire him.”
She looks to the Slytherin table. “White hair, Lucius and Narcissa?”
Minnie nods once again. “Draco.”
Mary nods to the Gryffindor table. “If I didn’t know better, i’d say Ginny was Lily’s daughter.”
MInnie laughs. “I thought she was Lily when she started here.” They walk towards the teachers table. “It startled me. And Penelope, I thought it was Emmeline all over again but she was more like you than anyone.” Minnie looks at her as they stop by the tables. “She looks like Emmeline, but is another version of you.”
Mary chuckles and a head whips to her. Severus. He stands up walking straight to her, getting all up in her face. “Severus, get out of my face or I swear I will curse you.” He doesn’t move and she turns her head. “Don’t doubt me, Snivellius. If James can do it, I can.” Severus’s eyes go dark and he backs up. Albus also stands up and walks to her, standing by Severus.
“Who are you?”
“Oh, but don’t you know me? The one who survived the first wizarding war.” Albus and Severus’s faces flash with recognition. “No, happy birthday?” Mary smirks and eyes the principal up and down. “Don’t think I don't know what you did, Albus.”
“Miss Mac-”
“I would like to know where my daughter is, Albus.”
Albus’s eyes flash with something Mary can’t decipher. “I don’t know who you’re talking about.”
Mary’s face goes rigid. “Penelope Vance.” She sneers. “You know that, Albus. I want to see my daughter. Where is she?”
“If she’s not here then I don’t know where she is.”
Mary steps closer to the older man but the younger one stops her. “Severus, I will curse you.”
“You don’t have a wand, now do you?”
Mary’s eyes narrow at the man. “Snivellius, i swear-”
“Mary! What have I told you guys about calling him that!?”
Mary backs up and stares at her favorite teacher. “You can’t tell me you don't agree. You know I hate him. He called me a..”
“Mudblood? Because you are.”
Mary’s eyes darken and she snatches his wand out of his hand. She holds it in front of his face. “Call me that one more time, I dare you. Remember I was second in my class. Right after Lily.” Severus gulps and backs up. Mary smirks and puts the wand down. “That’s what I thought.”
“You’re a muggle?’ A voice asks from behind her. She turns around.
“I am. And who are you?”
“Hermione Granger.”
Mary’s gaze goes over to the two people standing beside her. “And you?” She asks the red-haired boy.
“Ron Weasley.”
Mary nods and turns her gaze to the other boy. “Ah, Harry. You look just like your father.”
“You knew my father?”
Mary nods. “All of Hogwarts knew the Marauders. Remus, though, he was the mastermind.” She suddenly realizes her teacher is beside her and turns to her.
Minnie’s piercing stare burns right through her. “What was that?”
“I hate to tell you, but your angel was the problem. He just decided to always blame his boyfriend.” Minnie shakes her head as Mary laughs. She turns back to the boy. “You’re mother was one of my best friends along with your aunt.”
“Aunt? My aunt Petunia?”
Mary laughs. “No, your mother hated her. I meant your father’s best friend was like his sister. Marlene McKinnon.”
The doors burst open and a girl comes running in. “Sorry I’m late. The orphanage wouldn’t let me leave.”
“Orphan- Minnie, is that-”
“Yes, that’s Penelope.”
“Penelope Vance,” Albus’s voice booms through the whole great hall.
Mary spins around to the man. “You leave my daughter alone. She had no one, Albus. And it’s all your fault. You killed my wife. You killed my friends.” Her hand goes back to the boy behind her. “You killed Harry’s parents.” Her hand goes back to the other boy. “You killed his uncles.” her hand goes back to her daughter. “You let my daughter go to an orphanage.” Her hand falls back to her side. “This is all your fault, Albus. All of it.”
“I-”
“When you look at Penelope’s face do you get reminded of Emmeline, of me? Do you see James when you look at Harry, or Lily? How about those two over there?” She points to the two red-headed boys next to each other sitting at the Gryffindor table. “Do you see Gideon and Fabian?” She points to Ginny. “Do you see Lily when you look at her?” She points over to the white-haired girl at the Ravenclaw table. “Do you see Pandora when you look at her, or Evan?” She points to the white-haired boy at the Slytherin table. “I bet his attitude is all Regulus. Do you see him? Do you look at Draco and think of Narcissa and her sisters? They’re like that because you,” she points at the older man, “made their parents that way. You might be other people’s heroes, Albus, but you haven’t and will never be mine.” Mary turns around and walks to her daughter. “Walk with me.” She says to her oldest, her other two following behind.
Mary grabs her youngest two daughters' hands, pulling them along with her, Penelope following behind. She goes to the hall where the trophies are in a case. She stops in front of it, staring at the Ravenclaw Quidditch team photo. She smiles at the black-haired girl standing in the middle of her teammates. “Who are you?’
“Your mother was the best chaser on her team. They almost beat the Gryffindor team many times. Marlene, James, and Sirius got so mad, they forbade me from seeing her for a week.” Mary laughs and looks over to the Slytherin quidditch team. “They did beat the Slytherin team, though. Pandora wasn’t seen in the common room for weeks.” Mary smiles and looks over to the Gryffindor team photo. She smiles even wider and James and Sirius leaning into each other like brothers, Marlene on the other side of James, leaning in, as well. James still stares lovingly off to someone on the other side. “Regulus always got mad at James for winning against them.”
“Who are you?”
“Your mother was the love of my life and I'm so proud of her for raising you alone.” She looks over to her daughter. “I’m Mary, Penelope. Your mother.” Penelope inhales a breath as Mary looks down at the two girls holding her hands. “This is Lilo and Lena, your sisters.” Penelope hugs her, almost knocking her down. Mary lets go of Lilo and Lena’s hands, hugging her oldest.
“I missed you.” She whispers.
“I missed you, too, Penny.”
***
Mary came back home and told her husband the whole story and why she can’t live with him anymore, he understood and decided it was best that she take the kids so he can figure out his life. Darren has the kids on the weekend, of course but Mary keeps them on weekdays. Mary laughs as the two nine year old twins, Lilo and Lena run around the yard, playing with their new dog, Meatlog. Penelope walks up to her, watching them, too. Mary pulls her daughter to her, wrapping her arm around Penelope’s shoulder.
“Thank you, mom.”
“For what, sweetheart?”
“Adopting me. Taking care of me these past two years.”
“You’re my daughter. Why wouldn’t I?”
“I want you to find someone to love, mom.” Penelope looks over at her. “Mama would want you to be happy.”
Mary shakes her head. “She was my one true love, Pen. No one will ever compare to her.”
“That’s not what I’m saying, Mom.” Mary looks over to her. “No one will replace Mama, but find someone to love again. Real love. Even if it’s not half of the love you felt for Mama. She would want you to find someone, Mom. Find that someone.”
Mary shakes her head and looks back at the twins. “I don’t think I’ll ever find that, Penny. She was my true love and I know she would want that, but I don’t. I never will. I’m happy with your three, right now.”
Penelope smiles and looks back at her sisters. “That’s fine with me, Mom. And I think the twins will be fine with that, too.”
Mary smiles. “I can’t wait until they’re old enough to go to Hogwarts. They’ll love it there.”
“They’re already showing signs of magic?” She asks.
Mary nods. “This was about the time I did.”
Penelope nods. “Hopefully the war is over by the time that happens.”
Mary smiles. “If it’s not, then I’ll switch jobs so I’m there to protect them and you.”
Penelope looks back at her mother. “Happy birthday, Mom. I love you.”
Mary turns to her smiling. “I love you, too.”

Here is the actual birthday that's today
Frank laughs as he sees his wife run around with their son on her shoulders. Alice runs around the yard with Neville on her shoulders, laughing. It’s early in the morning and Frank can smell breakfast from downstairs, already done and waiting for it’s receiver, but he’s watching his family from his bedroom window, not worried about that or the day to come.
Pandora told him what happens in a month. Or October 31st to be exact. He doesn’t like it and wishes he could stop it, but he knows Pandora’s visions always come true, no matter what. It happened with the two lovers months before. Dorcas and Marlene. Pandora told them, but they couldn’t stop it. So, in the end, they died, just like the others. Like Euphemia, Fleamont, Regulus, Evan. They all died, but they can’t do anything to stop it. So, for now, Frank just wants to spend whatever time he has left with his wife and son.
Alice looks up at him and smiles, waving at him then pointing to the kitchen. Frank nods, acknowledging what Alice is trying to say and walks out the door and down the stairs to the kitchen. He sits at the table eating his food and then goes outside, sitting on the steps to watch his family.
Alice walks over to him, setting Neville in his lap. “Happy birthday, my love.” She says to him before kissing his forehead. Frank leans into her kiss. She sits down next to him, her head on his shoulder.
“Do you ever think about what will happen to Neville?”
Alice sighs. “I try not to, but yeah. I think about how he will never actually know us. About him growing up without knowing Harry or anyone else. Or about his aunts and uncles.”
Frank sighs. “I know Pandora said we can’t do anything, but what if we tried?”
“That’s not our destiny.” She says quietly. Alice laughs lightly. “God, I sound like Pandora.”
Frank laughs, too. “You kinda do.” Alice smacks his arm, lightly. “I still think we should try.”
“It won’t work.” She whispers slightly. “It never did for Dorcas or Marlene.”
“I know, but maybe it will for us.”
Frank feels Alice shake her head. “If it doesn’t for the bravest people I know, it won’t for us.”
“True.” Frank looks down at his son playing with his pants. “I just wish we could be in his life. See him grow up more.”
“I do, too.”
“It’s only been a year since he was born, Al.”
“I know.”
“Do you think we would’ve been good parents?”
Alice nods her head. “I do. But we’ll never know.”
Frank sighs and kisses Neville’s head. “I love you.” He whispers to him then leans over to his wife. “I love you.” he says, before kissing her.
“I love you, too.”

Did I forget to post this yesterday? Yes. Did I realize it's not actually his birthday yesterday. Yes, but I was busy and I finished it yesterday.
Peter wakes up to a shout from downstairs, more than likely one of the boys as none of them are in their beds and the door is wide open, almost like they were in a rush to get out. Peter sees the rest of his roommates still sleeping, besides his friends who are supposed to be asleep as well, assuming it’s still before seven.
Peter gets up out of bed and walks out the door, already seeing the light on downstairs. He creeps down the stairs and hides behind the wall as his friends do something by the couches. “Siri, I swear.” Lily whispers, yelling at Sirius.
“I’m sorry.” He whispers back to the red-headed girl. “It slipped.”
“Pads!” James whisper yells when he walks back in through the portrait hole. Sybill walks in behind him. “What did you do!?”
“I dropped it.”
“How could you drop it!?” Sybill whispers back in a hurry. “That was for Peter!”
“It was your globe!”
“It was still a gift for him!”
“Guys, calm down.” Mary says, trying to break up the fight. “We’ll get a new one before anyone wakes up.”
Sybill groans and goes to pick up some pieces that shattered. “Okay, is everything ready?’ Alice asks, standing next to Frank looking at the few people who are still setting things up.
“I think so.” Marlene replies, not acknowledging James and Sirius who are running around putting things down and picking things up to put someplace else.
“James! Sirius!” Remus whisper yells. The two boys stop and put the things down they had and goes to stand next to the others.
“I think that’s it.” Lily says. Lily looks at her wrist. “It’s only seven and Peter won’t wake up for at least ten minutes.”
“So, we just wait?” James asks.
“Yeah, basically.” Mary replies. Peter hears his roommates come out of the room and down the stairs, ignoring him completely.
“Peter should be awake with how loud they are.” Remus says, walking towards the stairs. Peter rushes up the stairs and to his trunk, grabbing his school robes and into the bathroom.
Peter smiles when the doors shut. They remembered. They remembered my birthday. He thinks.
Peter only told them about his birthday at the end of their first year. That was when he finally trusted them enough to tell them everything and they complained about not throwing him a party for his birthday. They threw him a party every year since then, but they’ve been so busy this year that he thought no one would remember. Well, apparently, they did. And they invited his girlfriend.
Peter makes his face go to a neutral expression as to not let them know he knows before opening the door. He gets bombarded by streamers in his face. He spits the few confetti that got in his mouth out and stares at the three boys staring at him dumbfounded. “Happy birthday, Pete!” They yell, another streamer coming in contact with his face.
Once the confetti is out of his eyes, he finally smiles. “Thank you.”
The boys smile at him and pull him downstairs. To the four girls standing there with more streamers and they set them off and another from behind him belonging to Frank. His girlfriend sets another off from beside him and smiles. “Happy birthday, Petey.” Sybill says while smiling. Peter turns to her, picking her up and twirling her around. She yelps in surprise but smiles as he sets her down.
“I love you.” he whispers to her after kissing her on the lips.
She kisses him again. “I love you, too.”

What if Adora never went back for Catra when she saved Glimmer? I feel like I would hate Adora for that, but I kept saying to not go back for her cause that's what she wanted. Idk😭

I just started watching She-ra and I swear if I guessed Adora is a long lost princess, then these shows are so predictable. Princess Adora being a tag though, tells me she is.
Also, 100% ship the mermaid and crab lady

I need someone to write season four of Secrets of Sulfur Springs.
I need someone to write season two of Dead Boy Detectives.
I need someone to write season four of The Owl House.
I need someone to write a new season four of The Umbrella Academy.
All of these we need to survive! We need them, people! Especially you, Disney! Quit canceling gay shows, and Netlfix, you too.
(P.S. Not that great a writer, or I definitely would write these. Also, why is it always season four!?)

Regulus: James, what did you do?
James: Nothing...
Regulus: You're standing there, looking like you did something.
James: Okay, so maybe I did.
James walks forward and gets on his knee in front of Regulus.
Regulus: James.....
James smiles at him.
James: Will you marry me?
Regulus nods immediately and kisses him.
Regulus: Of course I will, you idiot.
