muse a is a soldier who muse b’s family has been forced to provide quarters for. muse a sees no reason to interact with this family, knowing that they’ll only be staying a short while until the conflict moves elsewhere. muse b, on the other hand, can’t help their curiousity about this stranger. they’d never met a soldier before, nevertheless had one sleep in the room right across from theirs. cue muse b constantly pestering muse a with questions and random comments that eventually turn into deep conversations and more...

plot where our muses were high school sweethearts and tried long distance for a while, swore they’d be together forever, gave each other promise rings, the whole ordeal. but they grew apart and broke up. years later, one is moving back home and they’re suddenly running in the same circles again and it’s bringing up a lot of … feelings. bonus if one of them is engaged to someone else.

muse a is a known player. they don’t “do” relationships, the fallout of having parents that divorced when they were young and receiving some sketch love advice from their lifelong bachelor uncle as a child. however muse b was always someone different to them. their first kiss, their first love, someone they could never forget. when they ran into each other in the city in college, muse b was wary of muse a but decided to give them a chance ⏤ unfortunately, as was expected, muse a fucked up and left muse b without a word, breaking their heart. fast forward to now, muse a has returned to their small town at the same time as muse b for their best friends’ wedding. with both of them serving in the wedding party and their problems still left unsolved, muse a comes to realize they need to fight to get muse b back while muse b decides to leave muse a in the past once & for all. will they fix their issues or will the wedding be the end of them, forever?

Kinda want an arranged marriage plot.

They're in college, my girl was raised with housewife values, though she's a bit rebellious because of her overbearing mother. He is the star of their university football team, and she cheers him on from the stands— like a good and supportive wife.

The couple actually like each other/are attracted to each other and were probably friends before their parents thought it would be— socially beneficial for their children to get married (maybe they even belong to the same church or something. Who knows, I'm just throwing this out there. Lol). So, the arrangement IS out of the blue and isn't in the name of love, but at least they know each other, right?

Bonus: they're a sweet American pie couple in public, but they share a BDSM dynamic in private. KINKY. Threesomes occasionally. Also, jealousy, when hubby is hit on by flocks of groupies, or Mrs. is hit on by guys from the opposite team to piss him off.

in college, muse a and muse b lost their virginities to each other. it was a mutual agreement between two near strangers to get this whole sex thing over with. since then, their love lives haven’t exactly been on the up & up. muse a is still obsessed with their first love, who keeps leading them on to be fair, while muse b can’t seem to hold down a meaningful relationship outside of sex. when the two of them run into each other, they realize that they have more in common than they previously thought and decide to try to help one another, without the burden of sex (they even create a safeword for when the other does something particularly sexy). they start to enjoy each other’s company, spend a significant amount of their time together, and the issues they’d previously had surrounding relationships start to fall away. muse a starts to date someone without stressing over their ex. muse b gets into a relationship with someone that they keep dating even after the first time they have sex. things are starting to look up  ⏤ except now, they can’t stop thinking about one another. nearly everyone around them thinks they’re in love with each other and despite their great new relationships, they’re starting to see this too. the only thing holding them back? their relationship with each other is too important for them to even potentially ruin with sex. it terrifies them to risk losing one another. will they take the leap?
