Another plot bunny to let into the wild:
In some legends, grief can be powerful enough to reanimate the dead, making them something of a revenant. Bruce's grief over Jason's death is what ended up somehow bringing him back.
Years later, during the events of Under the Red Hood, Bruce has realized what he's done to his son and decides he needs to lay his son back to rest.

Welcome to the BG3 Plot Bunny Rehoming Centre!
Tumblr media
Got a plot idea that you don't have time to write? Looking for new ideas for fics and one shots? You've come to the right place!
How It Works
I Have a Plot Bunny
Use the ask box to submit your plot bunny ideas - anonymously if you prefer! - and they will be added to the blog!
I Want to Adopt a Plot Bunny
Choose any plot bunnies that appeal to you from the blog and comment on them to let people know you're working on them, then once your fic is written reblog the original post with your fic or the link to it!
Is that it?
It really is that simple! If you have ideas you don't have the time to write you can send them here to find a home, or if you're looking for a new and fun idea to work on this can be a fun place to find which one calls to you!
More Details Below! Rules, Submission Guidelines, and Submission Format
Submission Guidelines and Rules
What is Not Allowed Here?
I draw the line at NSFW content containing minors or characters who only appear in the source material as minors. Pairings must also pass the Harkness Test - creatures must be able to communicate in a way all participants can understand clear consent, they must have enough intelligence and sentience to understand clear consent, and they must be at or over the minimum age of consent for their species. No sexual pairings are to contain characters who are blood related, with the exception of Sorn/Nym Orlith who may be in a situation with multiple other partners but as they state in game they will not interact with each other, nor will they be with only one other partner.
All Participants must be 18+ - Minors DNI with this blog! The game is rated 18+ and so is a lot of the fan content, please respect this and wait until you are old enough to safely interact with 18+ fandom creativity (for your own safety and that of the creators)
Controversial Content, Tagging, and CWs
Controversial characters, Dead Dove topics, and triggering content is permitted here on the understanding that you will appropriately tag all submissions and fics with the CWs and Tags that apply to it, so readers and writers have the choice of what they engage with.
You can find a comprehensive guide to tagging and CWs here along with a list of topics that require a tag!
As long as you have clearly marked your content, it's fine to post. Stories have all kinds of themes to them and have done since we first sat around the fires talking to each other about dreams and ideas - so let's keep it positive here too! If you don't like an idea or story, just let it pass by and move on to something you do like instead. We are all so much better when we support one another~
How Should I Submit My Plot Bunny?
You should try to give as much detail as you're able to, but we can try and help out a bit too! Try to have as many of these points as you can:
Character Names
Basic idea (a couple of sentences)
SFW or NSFW?
Are there any tropes/kinks you do want to see included?
Are there any tropes/kinks you do NOT want to see included?
Is this a one shot idea or a long fic?
Should the idea be treated seriously or like a comedy?
Do you have an idea of an outline for the story (eg, beginning, middle, and end)
Would you like the Rehoming Centre to expand on your idea? (eg, you have a rare pairing idea but can't work out how to put them together)
Do you have any other inspirations for the plot bunny to go with it in the rehoming package? (eg, a song, a piece of art, a game screenshot)
How Should I Adopt A Plot Bunny?
If you'd like to adopt a plot bunny and write something with it, scroll, search, or pick whichever bunny appeals to you! If possible, drop a comment on the post so we know you're working on it, then those looking to claim a bunny that has no home yet can look further for more. You can claim a bunny that already has a claim if you'd like to, of course! Bunnies need lots of love.
Once you've written your fic, reblog the plot bunny post so the blog, readers, and the person who submitted the post can find your work! We want to see our lovely plot bunnies hopping happily in their new homes after all~
Is that it?
I think so! If you have any questions, pop them in the comments to this post or in the ask box. I look forward to seeing all your plot bunnies and finding them some good homes soon!

What is... Plot Bunny?
There are two different things that are called plot bunnies.
Plot bunnies can be story ideas that don't leave an writer's brain (gnawing at it like rabbits do) until they get written down.
It also refers to writers having multiple ideas at once that basically multiply like rabbits.

Steve’s a beautiful dancer but his shortfalls are stamina and upper body strength.
Billy, teasing Steve because he fumbles his partner lifts every time and Nancy is like a twig. Girl weighs like six pounds, Harrington what gives?
Billy coming up with increasingly annoying pranks, like telling Steve that class has moved to the studio on the other side of campus, or turning up the speed on his treadmill to “build his stamina”.
Steve determined to shut Billy up by lifting his fat ass before the next exam. This leads to multiple instances of them falling all over each other, wrestling in the dorm.
Billy’s roommate is very confused as to why Harrington will periodically burst into their room and try to carry his roommate off like a sack of potatoes. But they seem to be bonding.

The brain worms are ON ONE tonight folks I am thinking about Cody/Maul/Obi-Wan post order 66 living on tattooine together
like what if Maul sought out Obi-Wan's Commander shortly after O66 to get obsessive freaky closure about how Obes died (feels robbed of the kill, generally mentally ill about it, etc.) and is like "he is useless to me with all this fucking Imperial programing in the way" and does Force Stuff to break Cody's chip and what if Cody Wakes Up and goes "I can use this fucked up little guy to get to my General, who I believe survived, and then I'll just kill him easy peasy and live happily ever after with my husband" so he tells Maul that Obi-Wan is probably alive, actually, and cue a really violent road trip of them retracing Obi-Wan's steps in the hours after O66 via Imperial intel and hyper competence on both of their parts and
OH NO WHAT IF THEY START TO FALL IN LOVE like the forced proximity of it all...LISTEN TO ME. the intimacy of fighting alongside someone and having a functional partnership that's turned Dependency on both of your part's because you were both Traumatized in surprisingly similar ways (raised as a tool of violence for someone else's purpose, same guy actually!) and also have a similar goal via your mutual obsession with this one guy and actually, he's not that bad for a sith/clone, and by the time they get wise to Luke's existence and gun it for Tatooine, Maul is like "if I kill Kenobi this is going to upset Cody. That is Unideal. Can i live with not killing Kenobi?" and Cody is like "I cannot kill him afterall, I like him too much, how the FUCK am I going to explain this to Obi let alone any of the mind control & sorry i tried to kill you shit"
and what if Obi-Wan kept Luke because Reasons and is just so goddamn thankful for some extra childcare help (Luke's in his terrible 2s and he's force sensitive -- Obi's more sleep deprived than he ever was during the clone wars) that he really doesn't give a shit at all that it's his ex that tried to kill him for some mystery reason and motherfucking Maul on his doorstep. help is help 🙏 and they bang and stuff of course okay I'm only human

I definitely don't need more WIPs right not for Dreamling, but sometimes it is fun to brainstorm a total nonsense fanfic-y premise played totally straight, which is why I'm fondly remembering the Cinderella Dreamling AU I brainstormed on one of the servers.
(Canon Divergence AU, because that's how I roll)
2022 rolls around and Hob and Dream are friends. Just... friends. Hob would love there to be more. He sometimes suspects, more like wishes really hard, that Dream would like more but, as usual, the guy isn't talking if he does. And Hob is too chicken to ruin the friendship they finally achieved to do something so uncouth as proposition his oldest friend.
He comes to the sad and perhaps inevitable conclusion that Dream has had all the chances in the world to say something so the only conclusion is that Hob's just not that interesting to him in that way. Stands to reason. The more Hob learns about the Dreaming and Dream's fantastical realm and all his adventures, the more Hob's almost single-minded dedication to living a normal life despite his immortality seems a bit... dull.
Enter Desire. Or Death. Or both. This is fanfic-y nonsense, after all, the point is there is a device and the device is our fairy god-person who is also sick to death of watching Dream pine from afar but is also a huge fan of chaos.
They (let's go with Desire for now, even if the trope is a bit overplayed, because it seems like their sort of thing) offer Hob a proposal. The chance to go into the Dreaming each night to woo Dream. Best of all, it will be with Desire's protection of his identity and a small amount of magic to create a persona for wooing Dream that won't be immediately obvious.
Oh, also, Dream is throwing a big fuck-off bash for Faerie or some other Dreaming ally so there's gonna be a party for weeks up there. Perfect place to slip in a new stranger. (Hob is a little charmed by the idea that he gets to be the stranger for once.)
Enter: the Knight of Roses.
Basically, Hob creates a persona into which he pours all of charm, wit, and courtier's polish from 600s years of life. If nothing else, he's having the time of his life at what is essentially a fancy magical masquerade ball where he gets to try his damndest to sweep Dream off his feet.
And it seems to be working. Hard to tell with Dream. But each night, Dream seems excited to see the Knight of Roses again.
(It is working. It's working very very well. The Dreaming is awash in flowers. Dream spends every waking moment he's not at the ball pacing his quarters, interrogating his subjects as to how in the world he can't get to the bottom of who this is, and every person who could nominally be considered his friend including his siblings and subjects are tearing their hair out with how sick they are of hearing about the Knight of Roses.
Hob doesn't hear about it though in the waking because Dream is in love with him and doesn't want to ruin any chance they might have together someday by agonizing over a mysterious guest who is probably some trick sent by Desire or Lucifer or someone to mess with Dream. He has no idea how right he is and how wrong he is not to bring it up to Hob.)
Secret Identity shenanigans ensue, of course, until we hit a breaking point with drama, tears, etc etc the usual for the trope because of course (gasp!) Hob is the Knight of Roses and there never was any need to create a separate persona because Dream was also agonizing over whether Hob was interested and Hob was so chill around him he assumed he was misreading all the signs. (Hob was working so, so hard to appear that chill around Dream.) Identities are unmasked and everyone lives happily ever after.
(But Hob is keeping the outfit once they're officially together, because Dream really, really liked the romance of the whole Knight of Roses identity but he likes it even more now that he knows it's Hob and not an evil trap laid by one of his enemies.)

𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢.
mother’s daughter: muse a has had a pretty rough childhood. when her mother was a teen, she got pregnant early with muse a and was tormented relentlessly. it made her snap and attempt to kill the girls who were making fun of her. in the end, she was apprehended and put in a mental health facility to live out the rest of her days. fast forward 20+ years and muse b is the child of the ‘final girl’. everyone thought that the baby had not been born, but muse a is out there, terrorizing muse b and their friends because of what happened to her mother. she could be hiding in plain sight, being friends with the group (and has been for years) or is a stranger.
bury a friend: after a freak accident, muse a and muse b accidentally kill their mutual friend. whether or not it’s an actual accident is up to you. muse a goes completely numb, and muse b is picking up the pieces, trying to figure out how to get away from the guilt. muse a ends up having a taste for killing, and muse b is left trying to clean up their messes so they don’t get caught.
twisted teeth: muse a is part of a coven of prominent vampires, who don’t often associate with other beings… especially humans. however, muse a is a bit of a rebel and likes to blend in with humans as a bit of a game. but when they meet muse b, everything changes. there is a primal desire to bond in a way that muse a has never felt before. now muse a is trying to figure out how to come clean to muse b, all the while trying not to feed from them.
maneater: two cannibals who fall in love, but neither of them know that they eat people and their taste seems to be for each other. think of mr. and mrs. smith, but instead of having a hit on each other… they’re just cannibals.
writer in the dark: muse a is a wanderer, going from place to place and just living life with nothing holding them back. muse b is a beautiful recluse, potentially some sort of demon/witch, who lives in a cabin in the middle of the woods. muse a ends up stumbling upon this cabin, and ends up getting locked in there with muse b. there is no way out, so muse a begins to learn how to live with muse b and being their muse.
rhiannon: muse a is a historian studying the hauntings of an old ghost in a small town, and has moved into a cheap mansion on the hill. newcomers will be bewitched by the ghost’s song. muse b is the ghost in question, burned by a scorned lover so she wouldn’t say his secrets. the ghost was murdered in the mansion that muse a is living in, and only comes to life when a resident is there. muse a finds themselves bewitched by the song and voice of muse b, who has been materializing in front of them. except it seems that the two are falling in love in an unconventional way.
bring me to life: muse a and muse b were newly weds when muse a died suddenly. muse b did everything they could to save them, and was greeted by a demon after a last ditch effort to bring their love back to life. they do a ritual, and end up beginning muse a back to life… except something is wrong. muse a has some sort of bloodlust, and muse b has to figure out how to satiate it as they navigate living new life.

my toxic trait is that i don't think ichigo becomes a captain even after he dies and goes to soul society either. i think he dies at a very old age when his hair is all gray and he has laugh line wrinkles around his eyes and his memory has faded to a point where no one can believe he was the scowling, orange-haired substitute shinigami anymore. of course, there are rumors throughout rukongai that the savior of three worlds is out there somewhere, among them, but none of them know who it could be and where he is and captain kuchiki and vice-captain abarai politely refuse to tell them. he's earned his amnesiac retirement.
still, that doesn't stop some of the bright-eyed shinigami from looking for him. he saved them after all, and he saved their brothers and their sisters and they just want to see what that hero looks like now, past his prime. to the lucky ones that do manage to track down the little hut he lives in, all they see is a kind, slightly grumpy old man who doesn't understand why they came all this way, but he offers them water for their journey back nonetheless. he doesn't remember. they tell him he used to be a savior once and sometimes he dreams about slashing swords and charging head-first but he mostly just cares about tending to his garden and saying hi to little ichika, not so little anymore, whenever she drops by to check on him. he doesn't understand that she's doing this as a favor to his son back in the living world. he doesn't remember he has a son at all, but sometimes he remembers the warmth of a round pair of eyes, the soothing glow of a wife's hands around him after a battle hard-fought and he thinks maybe he's lived a good life. it's really all he can hope for.

Kind of have a Chan/Big one-shot in my head that I am thinking about writing but have no time for. I'm going to bullet point it here to have on hand for later.
Tumblr media
Big still takes the bullets for Porsche. When Kinn arrives, he initially thinks he is dead. Tawan still presses the button and kills himself. However, the bombs Tawan placed end up being duds and the effort was for nothing.
Once they realize the place isn't about to blow up, they go back inside to get Big's body. He turns out to be unconscious but alive. They rush him to the infirmary and he miraculously pulls through, but is going to be there for a while.
Despite the Drama™️ going on, Kinn, Porsche, and his fellow guards visit him. Kinn is very thankful and sorry, Porsche is thankful as well but feels like Big should value himself more highly and tells him as much, and the rest are trying to be present.
Even Tankhun visits him. He usually talks about how he should put demands on Korn to change up the decor of his room. But occasionally, he tearfully thanks Big for saving Porsche. There is also one time that he tells Big he deserves a better ending than the one he tried to give himself. That he may not have leading man energy, but he could totally be half of a secondary couple in a K-Drama if he just found the right person.
"And sometimes the secondary couple is more interesting anyway!"
But out of everyone, Chan visits the most frequently and has been putting the most work in when it comes to Big's care.
The thing is, Big notices two guards aren't around: Pete and Ken. The guards tell him Pete is visiting his grandmother, and they sound believable enough when they say that, even though it seems like strange timing. But they won't meet his eyes when he asks about Ken, and their stories never line up.
Chan eventually tells him. While the truth paints Ken as a traitor and there is no getting around that, Chan tries his best to empathize with Ken by telling Big that Ken was likely approached by Gun with an incentive to be a double agent. If he would have refused, it would have cost him his life a lot earlier on. He says it to let Big know it's okay to mourn Ken. Ken was still his roommate and his friend, regardless of what he did.
They become closer after that night, and Chan talks to Big in a way that is less gruff and more gentle. Big finds comfort in him, and has prior to this. Chan was the one who made sure Big took an extended break after his father died. He drove an hour each way to check on him at his mother's house back when that happened. So Big has felt comfortable coming to Chan in his moments of worry or doubt, and he has always viewed Chan with respect and affection while the other guards tended to be more intimidated by him. But something feels different now.
He doesn't know who to talk about it with though. Ken is dead, and he probably would have teased him and said he had a crush on their boss.
Does he?
Chan is at least ten years older than him. He probably shouldn't have a crush on him. He's also actively taking care of Big, and Big has a long recovery in front of him. He's setting himself up for unrequited love. Again.
Speaking of, Kinn is continuing to visit. He does so frequently, and Big can see that he's wracked with gullt. Big still feels his heart beat a little faster whenever he walks into a room, but that is starting to feel different too. Kinn almost feels like a friend now. That's probably inappropriate as well, but on a lesser level.
So he holds it in. He plans on doing so forever until he wakes up gasping from a nightmare. Chan had fallen asleep in the chair, but woke up when Big did. Instead of telling him it was just a dream, he scooted closer to comfort him, stroked his hair, and held his hand until he fell back asleep.
Big ends up telling Pol, of all people. It just slips out. Pol doesn't seem like the right person to tell, but not the wrong person either. He manages to strongly empathize with and defend Tankhun, while most of the guards tend to steer clear of him, so maybe he will understand this insanity.
Pol is actually nice to talk to. While he doesn't completely understand a potential crush on Chan because Chan is intimidating, he gets having a crush on someone a good bit older. He thinks he might be into a bartender friend of Porsche's, and she has several years on him.
The conversation doesn't give Big any answers, but it does make him feel a little better. He's able to be around Chan and not feel like freaking out.
That is, until Korn "dies" and the attack approaches. Chan has Big moved to a more secure location a day prior. Big wants to stay, Chan won't let him. Big only feels okay about leaving when Chan says he will command from the armory while Arm sends out remote attacks, that he won't be a frontline guard.
Chan lied.
Does he die? Does he miraculously live like Big manages to in this canon divergent fic or like Vegas does in canon? Depends on how much I want to torture Big, I suppose...
Jk, I want them as infirmary roomies falling in love, all while Pol wheels in to visit while he heals from his less serious injury. I also want Chan to be finished with Korn altogether after everything he pulled.

Dis Prompt #1 DPxDC
Has everyone watched Batman and Harley Quinn? You know the 2017 movie with Kevin Conroy?
Okay cool, stick with me.
Imagine, Harley and Nightwing hook up. Later, Harley discovers that she's pregnant and well, Harley can't take care of a baby! She can barely take care of herself. So, she does the only reasonable thing an ex costumed super villain can think of. She puts her baby up for adoption and never mentions it to Nightwig.
Danny is adopted by the Fentons who raise him as their own until he hits about fifteen or sixteen years old. Finally, he manages to tell them that he's Phantom only the reaction isn't one that he was wanting or expecting even. Instead of either accepting him or forcing him onto a dissection table to tear him apart molecule by molecule, they simply tell Danny to leave.
He isn't their son anyway let him do whatever but they don't want some ghost boy in their house. Maybe this is also when Danny finds out he's adopted too
Now, Danny goes on a search for his birth parents to find out about why they gave him up, who they are and all that jazz. but Danny Doesn't really know where to even start looking.
Somehow he winds up on the JL's radar maybe they see him flying around and take him in for questioning. Regardless, whenever Danny changes to his human form, everyone is immediately concerned because why does this kid look like Nightwing when he was a child? So they secretly do a DNA test on the kid and find that he's the son of Dick Grayson himself.
Now Dick finds himself with a son he never knew he had, and Danny finds himself with a birth father who didn't even know his existence and the two go on a search to find out who his mom is together.
Go wherever you want with this, just someone take this idea from me, I have too many wips as it is

taylor swift song inspo pt 1
getaway car
bonnie & clyde. muse a and muse b meet on an off chance one night, maybe one is in the middle of a getaway and drags the other along only to learn that they both love the thrill of it all. then starts a series of crimes or just life on the run. the highs are high and the lows are low. they know their flame is burning bright and fast but they couldn’t care less.
dancing with our hands tide
muse a has been hopelessly in love with muse b for far too long. and one night the two find themselves on the dance floor together (wedding, night out etc), and just as muse a is losing help that their love could ever be reciprocated, muse b kisses them. they don’t know what the future looks like, but they know what it is in that moment.
champagne problems
muse a and b have been together for years, but muse a has been secretly unhappy. so on the night that muse b proposed, which muse a probably should have seen coming, they tell them they can’t do it and leaves them. flash forward, and the two run into each other. maybe they’ve both moved on, maybe one wants the other back, or maybe they are too caught up in the what-if’s.
the 1

lavender haze
it’s simple, we’re in love. we can’t help how romantic and cheesy we are. in fact we’re living in our own bubble - our own haze if you will. but what happens when reality comes crashing in? when we can’t keep the outside world from prying? [ celebrities? celebrity x normal person? ]

sometimes summer is all you’ve got. muse a moves to a beach town for the summer to finally write their book (or to do research for their job ie actor, journalist etc) and decided to take on a whole new persona. that’s where they meet muse b and try to woo them with their new self. and maybe there’s drama, or maybe muse a and b like who they’re becoming.
