It was supposed to be a routine pick-up. Ghost was going to walk in, wait for you to pack up from the meeting you'd just been in with your producer about an upcoming single, and take you back to your apartment. That was supposed to be it.

But as soon as he walked in, seeing you on the leather couch of your producer's office with some burly guy's arm around your shoulders, he knew it was going to be anything but routine.

"Hey Ghost." You chirped as soon as you noticed him walking through the door, crossing your leg over your knee and sinking a bit deeper into the leather couch. "I didn't think you'd here until—"

Ghost's eyes narrowed, lingering on the way the guy looked so comfortable with you against his body. Too comfortable. He couldn't help the way his teeth ground down as his jaw tensed. "You said 2:30, dove. It's 2:30 now, yeah?"

Your eyes flitted down to the watch strapped to your wrist, letting out a grumbled curse and you nodded. "Guess it is, huh?" You giggled as you glanced over at the guy, pushing your hand against his chest as you sat up straight. "Sorry, this is Ghost by the way. He's my—"

The guy met Ghost's steeled gaze, his lips turning upward in an almost challenge smirk as he spoke. "Your infamous bodyguard, huh? Gotta say, the mask looks much more intimidating in person." The guy reached his hand out for a formal handshake. "Keegan, by the way."

Ghost didn't move to shake Keegan's hand, instead offering him the barest nod he could muster before moving his eyes back to you. "We've gotta go. You're on a tight schedule."

"Oh c'mon, Ghost. Not like I haven't been late before." You groaned as you leaned back against the leather couch, sulking a bit under his hard gaze. "You don't even wanna hear the first demo track?"

Oh, this was the artist you were collaborating with. Ghost remembered you rambling on about Keegan, talking about how big of a deal it was that a star of his caliber was wanting to collaborate with a lesser-known artist like you. It was a dream come true for you—but for Ghost, it was his worst fucking nightmare.

Instead of indulging in your offer, Ghost moved wordlessly to scoop your purse up from the floor, holding the straps in a vice grip in his palm as he strode back toward the door. "Now, dove."

Keegan snorted a bit as he watched you get up, an apologetic smile on your face as you went to pick up your phone from the coffee table. "He always this cold? Don't know how you put up with it. If my bodyguard talked to me like that, I'd have 'em on the street before they could finish talking."

"Trust me—this is Ghost being nice." You leaned down to give Keegan a quick hug, arms looping around his neck and one of his falling around your waist. "Thanks for handling the mixing and stuff—let me know when you get the demo done?" The hair on the back of your neck prickled, knowing that Ghost was probably staring daggers at you.

"Course, babe. Shouldn't take me and my team that long, so keep your phone on you, yeah?" Keegan pulled away and gave your waist a gentle pat, gesturing to the door. "Better go before he drags you outta here."

You smiled apologetically once more, giving Keegan one last nod before you turned towards the door. The scowl on your face was heavy, eyes flitting angrily to meet Ghost's as you brushed past him and out of the door he was holding open for you.

You were storming halfway down the hallway when Ghost caught up with you easily. "What's got you steamin', dove? The fuck did I do?"

Spinning around on the heel of your sneaker, you turned to face Ghost, hands pushing against his chest rather weakly as you let out an annoyed scoff. "Are you kidding me, Ghost? You just completely embarrassed me in there—in front of Keegan for fuck's sake! You gotta be an asshole to every fucking guy I interact with?"

Ghost took the weak shove and barely moved, lips twitching under the fabric of his mask before he swallowed down the smirk that itched to be on his lips. He liked when you were angry.

"Don't know what you're talkin' about. You seemed pretty cozy with 'em when I got there—surely he won't hold it against you." Ghost's words sounded bitter, like they left a bad taste in his mouth and he was desperate to spit them off of his tongue. "It's not my fault you have an interview in an hour—blame your fuckin' manager for scheduling things when you'd rather be foolin' around with some rockstar."

You stood there, mouth agape and eyes narrowed as your fists balled angrily at your sides. "Is that what this is about? You're fucking jealous of Keegan or something? This is a new low—even for you, Ghost." You rolled your eyes as you continued storming down the hall, giving Ghost no choice but to follow behind you.

There was a tense silence as you made your way to the car waiting outside. You didn't even let Ghost open the back passenger door for you as you normally would, instead opting to throw it open yourself and crawl inside to the seat farthest away. Ghost didn't speak until the car began moving, the privacy partition raised up and leaving you two practically alone.

"It's not jealousy. My job is to protect you, and if that means from some guy ogling you with his arm around you, then so fuckin' be it." Ghost stated matter-of-factly, his voice cold and bitter as he stared out of the window next to him.

You snorted out an angry laugh, shaking your head as you glowered over at him from across the backseat. "Right—'cuz Keegan is so dangerous that I need you to come rescue me. Seriously, Ghost. Just fuck off 'till you figure your shit out, alright?"

The topic didn't come up between you two again for a week or two—but it was still palpable. You two hardly spoke to one another, hardly wanted to breathe the same air as the other. But he was your bodyguard, and you were his charge. You had to be around one another.

It only came up when Ghost and you were once again in the backseat of your car, heading to a photoshoot to shoot the cover of your upcoming single with Keegan. You were still sitting on opposite ends of the backseat, your elbow perched on the door's armrest and your chin digging into the palm of your hand.

"He's gonna be there." You said coldly, flicking your gaze over to Ghost sitting silently beside you. "So don't embarrass me again."

He didn't breathe a word, just giving you a bitter scoff before nodding curtly.

Ghost didn't even look at you until you made it to the photoshoot location, watching from the shadows behind the camera as you came out from the dressing room with Keegan. You two were laughing about something together, and Ghost immediately clocked the hand you rested on Keegan's forearm as you walked.

You were dressed in a flowing white gown, hair done up and pinned in ringlet curls around your face. Your usual dark sultry makeup was replaced by something softer, the apples of your cheeks a rosy pink and your usual red lipstick replaced by a peachy gloss. You looked ethereal, and Ghost couldn't help the way his eyes ravished your look.

Keegan was the opposite, dressed in an all-black three piece suit with cold silver jewelry and chains adorning his skin. His dark brown hair was slick with pomade and pushed up away from his icy eyes, the usual stud punched through his lip replaced by a sleek silver ring.

"You know how much I hate these photoshoots?" Keegan told you as he let the photographer put him in the position they needed, knees spread and back straight as he sat on an all-black throne.

You laughed softly as you nodded in agreement, following the photographer's instructions and settling yourself on one of Keegan's strong thighs. "You and me both. At least you look cool—I look like a fuckin' church girl right now."

Your eyes flicked up to meet Ghost's in the very back of the room, cheeks tinging even more pink as you noticed the way he was looking at you. It wasn't angry like it had been for a week now—it was hungry, like you were the prey and him the predator. It made knots tie themselves in your gut.

The feeling of Keegan's hand splaying across your stomach brought you back into the moment, letting out a shuddering breath as you shifted yourself into place. "You alright, kid? Spacing off even before the camera starts clicking."

"Sorry—just...got in my own head a bit." It wasn't a complete lie, but Keegan didn't have to know what had pushed you inside of yourself, didn't have to know that the way Ghost was staring at you like a man starved was the reason you were spacing out.

The photoshoot went on smoothly, the photographer snapping a few photos and maneuvering the pose ever so slightly. With each click of the camera, the photographer placed Keegan's hand higher and higher with each shot, the final pose eventually becoming Keegan's tattooed fingers splayed out on my throat.

Keegan was ever the gentleman he was, making sure you were comfortable and okay with the way things were going. All the while, Ghost remained a haunting figure both in the back of the room and the back of your head. No matter where you looked, your eyes always seemed to magnetize back to him.

You didn’t see Ghost again until you were back in the dressing room of the photography studio, makeup wipe in hand and scrubbing off the pretty makeup. You heard the door open and close behind you, but you didn’t turn around. “If you’re in here to say something snarky about today, save it, Ghost.” You mumbled softly, focusing on wiping the remaining gloss from your lips.

Ghost remained silent, his boots clacking against the linoleum floors as he stalked towards you. His arm stretched out, taking the makeup wipe from your hand and discarding it as he turned you to face him. This time, however, your eyes locked on the way his balaclava was pushed up under his nose to reveal only his lips, pink and puffed out as his tongue ran over them. You could see a glint of metal punched into the muscle of his tongue.

“Y’wanna know somethin’, dove?” Ghost’s voice was a gravelly whisper, rumbling deep inside of his chest as he held your body between his and the vanity you were standing in front of. “You were right. Maybe I was a little jealous—hell, still am, if m'being honest.”

You were breathless, eyes wide and lashes fluttering as your brain scrambled to catch up to the words coming from his mouth. You were too busy staring directly at his mouth, the closet you’ve gotten to ever seeing Ghost’s real appearance, your heart thundering in your chest as the sound of blood rushing filled your ears. “Why?” Your question was almost inaudible, the heavy breathing coming from both of your nostrils almost drowning it out entirely.

Ghost hummed softly, leaning down ever so slowly and making the bunched up fabric under his nose brush against yours. “Maybe I don’t like seein’ you with another guy. Y’know how much I wanted to fucking drag you off of that asshole’s lap today? To pull his hand off of your stomach, your chest, your throat? To rip him to fuckin’ pieces?”

Your chest heaved with ragged breaths, body fighting to keep itself from melting into a puddle on the floor below. You couldn’t help but grip onto the collar of Ghost’s shirt, eyes fluttering closed as his words washed over you like a tidal wave. “Ghost…”

“Tell me to stop.” Ghost hissed in your ear, his gloved hands moving from your shoulders and down your arms before finally landing with an almost bruising grip on your waist. The white fabric of your flowing gown bunched between his fingers. “You know how wrong this is? How much trouble I would be in for this? You’re my client. I shouldn’t want you this fuckin’ badly, dove.”

Your body squirmed in Ghost’s grasp, skin eager to feel him pressed up against you and snarling words into your ear. It was maddening in the best way possible. You couldn’t stop yourself. “Don’t stop, Ghost.” It was breathy and needy as it fell from your lips, but the groan it pulled from Ghost’s chest made it that much more powerful.

“Fuckin’ hell—you’re going to be the death of me, dove.”

Q. From a PR standpoint what would be the purpose of the official 911 account responding directly to so many comments hinting at Buddie? And gay/queer Eddie?Isn't that highly unprofessional? It's not like they don't have audience members who don't want to see them together.

Q. I'm sorry but Ryan and Oliver are just cringe. I get it they like one another and everyone is clearly having fun with mustache stuff but it's officially over done now.

Q. As far as the audience is concerned Tommy is Buck's canon relationship and he is the one they should be pairing with Oliver for promotion. ABC isn't doing anything to discourage the Buddie nonsense and it will backfire on them when the Buck/Tommy relationship is solidified in season 8.

A. Rip to my ask box 😭. I will say I'm genuinely surprised by the number of comments they directly replied to. The Eddie Mercury one was definitely brow raising. I'm stunned they replied to that comment. That being said though Oliver/Ryan and Buddie was 95% of their entire PR campaign last season and they were the number one show on the network. Number one show in their timeslot. It worked. They're absolutely going to do it again, especially if Buddie is actually going canon this season. And you're correct, anon they're doing nothing to discourage that conversation. Some of their replies are actually only going to fan the flame. But they knew that when they chose to reply. And they replied to them in a way that would make people talk. They know what they're doing. But they do have to be careful. All implications are it's happening. But if they don't do it then t's absolutely queer baiting and it will cost them dearly. But I think they're well aware of that and it's why I don't think that's what's happening here.

Yes there are audience members that don't want them to be canon, but there are far more that do what them to be canon. Oliver and Ryan clearly want it. And they're not cringe, anon. Nearly 22,000 likes in a little under two hours is impressive . That is a quick clip. Their audience likes Buddie. Their audience likes Oliver and Ryan. You all are in the minority. And frankly it's not content for you. Your opinions of it are irrelevant. He's not there, anons. Deal with it. You'll get something small at some point, maybe, unless he isn't coming back at all. But your time is nearly up. You're going to have to settle for your imaginary content for now.

Yeah, the social media team never really interacts all that much. They did now. That must mean they were told to interact and hype up the viewers. Another way of promoting the show.

But I do agree that they need to pull through with Buddie after all of this and all of the Buddie promo they did last season. There is no way back after all of this. I have no doubt that they will pull through though. It's glaringly obvious at this point that is where the story is going.

Buddie has been around for 6 seasons now. It has drawn in a big audience. Even the more casual fans of the show would like to see Buddie happen. The BT fandom is very small and most people of the general audience have already forgotten about Tommy, but they haven't forgotten about Eddie. They have eyes and see the same things we see. They can draw the same conclusions. They just aren't as openly passionate about it as we are.

Season 8 is our season.

Full context for the Inprnt issue can be found here on this post , tl;dr my shop is closed until I receive my payments from inprnt in a timely manner and essentially won't reopen unless they clean up their act. Regarding the money they owe me outlined in that post, I still have not received it and on Friday I sent a support ticket in to inprnt demanding they send it soon. Haven't heard back since. I think where Inprnt is concerned, it's worth mentioning that they no longer send promotional emails (which used to be a regular occurrence) and there seems to be a complete lack of communication and the only thing about the site that regularly updates is the sale banner (ending soon!!! 🙄)

So honestly I'm of the opinion that the print on demand bubble has burst and that this method of selling art was a very short-lived feature of an internet that doesn't exist anymore. Think about it - I make money on a sale after having spent nothing on promotion, on materials, on postage fees, etc. It's so easy to game the system using bots or stolen art to essentially print free money that I'm shocked it even lasted as long as it did. Maybe I'm wrong but I won't tie myself to another print on demand service that's just going to pull the same old shit redbubble and inprnt have done this year, or one that requires me to constantly promo it like some kind of influencer on instagram or tiktok or whatever.

Will prints come back? I hope so. I am looking into local printing shops and considering the feasibility of handling the process myself but you must understand that if I do that, the price will rise. I won't have the ability to run constant discounts or eat a loss if I order 20 prints and only 7 sell. It is what it is.

I'm going to be SO real with you right now - I did not consider that at all. However I do know that tinting flames with various chemical compounds was a huge part of alchemy, part of the whole flashy show of it to impress the layperson. So sure, I bet they do throw in copper sulfate or various other chemicals to produce the coloured flames - these make a huge impression on witnesses who might not even have imagined such a thing possible, and also help identify a holy beast at a distance on a battlefield choked with smoke and dive-bombing serpents.

Fun fact, the flames come from the furnace wells, right. Each well is connected to specific systems, where it can most efficiently deliver fuel to the heart and onwards. So it is possible to 'read' the pattern of flame bursts from the furnace slits - they are not constant, but there'll be one every few seconds based on when the furnace tenders excite each well. You can tell at a distance, for example, that Leun is readying an acid spray, or rerouting power to the rear legs for a leap, or even what direction he's turning. It all runs at a slight delay, which is why the crew inside has to be SO closely coordinated.

@absolutely-flabbergasted Knights are allowed to reproduce but not marry, because it's sort of accepted theory that blood relatives of a knight will be 'accepted' by the knight's beast when the time comes. This is not true but it means that sometimes the knight's apprentices are their own children. The other parent is mostly another member of the church and usually not identified or considered important (unless they're a smith...). There are usually a decent number of known knight bastards running about.

Smiths are not allowed to have families or marry, because their first devotion should be to their art or their beast if they are assigned to one. If one tries, the kids are taken away, anonymised with new names, and put into the pool of potential novices in some other stable. Now, in reality some stables or churches are just not that strict and have a slightly different culture, so there's often an Open Secret about some master smith's illegitimate family or a priest's secret mistress. This is tolerated by the authorities to a certain degree but if it becomes too rampant there'll usually be a change of management and some sort of crackdown.

Families who give up their second born cannot stay in contact, but if the child becomes successful in some way (say, if the child becomes a knight) the families are sent tokens symbolising this which can be placed in the family/village shrine. This can be a huge point of pride, with some people faking the tokens just so that they can show off about their successful kids that are totally knight apprentices.

The reason they don't get to stay in touch with their children is due to the secretive nature of the church and its arts. The church has been at war with the neighbouring nations for a long time and only its mastery of engine work has kept it afloat, and nobody wants these secrets to fall into enemy hands. Particularly if your kid goes on to become a scribe, which is if anything an even more closely guarded profession than that of a knight (those engine diagrams don't draw themselves). The laity are usually quite devout and understanding of this. If they aren't, they might attempt to find their child, often without success.

If you want your church kid back: it depends. If you can prove to the church authorities that you need your child's labour to stay afloat or to carry on the family line, they might take that into consideration. Of course, the only children that return are the likes of sweepers, cleaners, altar boys, pages, etc. Nobody who might have witnessed any Secrets. The church is best understood as being in the middle of a cold war for the past few centuries (and sometimes just regular war) so it's far more closely guarded.

It's not likely. Even if the ventilation system worked perfectly, he is still from an older generation of holy beasts and no longer represents the pinnacle of the technology. Leun might have a less sophisticated ventilation system but everything else about him is head and shoulders more advanced - including the crew number he can take on. Leun only requires a single enginesmith in the heart, for example. This is because there's more automation of his systems, and he can actually manage to walk home from battle without anybody inside at all, just based on the knight's input (because the throne chamber is open to the air the knights are technically not inside the beasts). It's not preferable (it can damage the systems) but it is a huge bonus.

Think about how in the early days of commercial aviation, there could be as many as eight people working on the flight deck. In the 60s, a 3-person crew was standard; captain, first officer, and flight engineer. Today there are only two pilots needed. This is down to increased automation, and it means that it is cheaper to fly the plane - the airline has to hire fewer pilots, 'flight engineer' is a nonexistent role these days, and that means you need to train fewer people, have fewer people on call, feed fewer people etc etc. It is cheaper for the church to run Leun than it is to run Krokodilos and even though the church is wealthy, the money and resources are not infinite. Especially now, in times of plague. Leun, for all everybody sings his praises, is basically a reskinned Pantera with better systems - again, cutting costs, because now we can get all of Pantera's old enginesmiths to work on him instead of having to train up new ones on a brand new and wholly unique platform. It's as much a matter of logistics as it is innovation and technology.

JK's crazy schedule in Q3/Q4 last year was very interesting to me. He was constantly traveling and would just be in SK for a few days then fly back to the US for few days again. It didn't make any sense to me coz he was tiring himself out and even caught colds multiple times.

I thought it would be more cost-efficient and logical plus healthier option for him to just stay in LA for the whole duration and perhaps bring his family with him if he wanted to spend time with them coz I assume they would have more flexible schedule. Also, they can travel and explore US together on his days off. This was under the assumption that he chose to fly home each time to SK to spend time with his family coz he is enlisting soon.

Now I will enter my delulu theory: he was coming home to SK to someone who can't travel to where he is, and was spending any time they could together before MS. As a TKKR, I will be pointing out that the period where JK was constantly flying back and forth, was Tae's promo period. Tae can't be where he was for many obvious reasons, but he was also busy. When Tae flew to Japan, he was able to come home just few days before JK has to fly again.

Tae went live, played longing songs and shared that JK sings To Find You for/to him. The next day, a man was beside him on his bed on his 3AM live. The same day that JK came home from a long trip to US and Japan. In another JK trip to US, Tae was seen sporting a pair of NY exclusive Moncler shoes the day after JK came back to SK from NY.

With my theory that JK was coming home to Tae, I thought how they probably just wanted to spend whatever private time they can with eo. It didn't have to be a trip or something grand but even just the thought of getting to share the same bed after coming home from work was more than enough.

If JK chose to endure jet lags and crazy schedule to be able to spend time with Taehyung, these are sacrifices we aren't privy of coz it isn't shown nor shared to us.

I know I am reaching with this theory, tho I am also piecing moments that happened within that busy period and I don't think I am far off. 😂

Oh wow! You know there's been plenty of talk about how Taekook always seemed to find time to spend with each other between travel schedules, even if they weren't in SK for long. But I've never seen it framed like this before. I think you could be onto something. I do wonder if after enlistment he won't be spending a lot more time in LA if he's going to keep his career going in this direction. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. We know he's building a home in Seoul, but I wonder if he'll sort of live part-time in LA. I don't think your theory is delulu at all, it's perfectly reasonable and would make some sense of JK's sometimes baffling and exhausting schedule last year. Paradise Hotel, Tae having plans for JK to cook for him when he was only back in SK for a couple of days for SimInvest, in Tae's apartment the day he got back from Japan in October. I think it's generally agreed upon by Taekookers that when they met up at the Paradise Hotel Jungkook went straight there from the airport because it's right there. When the video of Jungkook at the airport on September 5th last year got posted there was the usual "who was in the car????" discussion. Another thing I normally dismiss, but I thought it was funny that his managers rushed so quickly to close the car door. It wasn't until I realized that Tae was definitely at the Paradise Hotel the night before that I started to sweat a little. 😅 Like, what if though??? We know Tae had been busy filming during Jungkook's birthday...what if???? they found some time???? before Jungkook left???? Tae was at the Paradise Hotel for the Frieze Seoul Art Night event there. He streamed the beautiful sunset for just over a minute on Weverse which a lot of people were saying was him on his way home and I accepted it just assuming they knew something I didn't. i'm actually so looking forward tudum next week, ST making Some appearance in there is essentially already guaranteed, with it being used in promo images for the event and getting mentioned on some lists of fandoms that will allegedly get featured and all. and like 👀

but we also just got a bts production trailer a month ago, i really wonder what they'd drop now. it could either be kind of lame (opening theme and s5 logo drop, which they did for every other season up until now, but usually at the beginning of filming and not 9 months in, so it would really be a let down now), mediocre (episode titles maybe? (also usually get dropped in a separate teaser for every season), OR maybe a few frames of actual s5 footage (wishful thinking)

bc even the over a minute long teaser last month was purely production footage, no shots that actually looked completely done/from the actual cameras povs, so technically we Still haven't gotten a look at what s5 will actually look like

but also ST day is right around the corner too and with it being the final event before the show is over i'd expect them to go pretty big. so an actual s5 teaser teaser would make more sense to drop then (the way they started dropping minute-ish teasers for season 4 after the 9 months of filming mark) (even though we're already at the 9 month mark so Technically they could also start dropping something now, but idk if they'd release proper teasers back to back like that with barely a month in between)

I get where you're coming from but I feel like, even if we agree, there's more to say around your thoughts for them not to be taken in the wrong way.

I don't now how old this/these fan(s) are but even if they're not that young, they're young enough to have grew up with different codes and more importantly they're not old enough to understand every way how they grew up has an impact on their behavior. They don't understand that getting "deliberately touched" is something Tim (and every famous person in his position) must have experienced a thousand times already. That he sees right through them even if they try to act chill about it. They don't understand that they're sharing pieces of lives that don't belong to them, lives of people who have have huge needs to keep these very few pieces of their life for them because they're public people.

But how could they? They're sharing every detail of their lives online almost since the day they were born and they grew up seeing everybody around them doing the same thing, from their mom sharing pics of their food on Facebook to their high school friend who did a "what I eat in a week" video every month on youtube and became a micro-influencer doing so to their favorite singer vlogging through their promo. They grew up in a time where everybody is a famous person in the making and every famous person is a friend you can talk to with the phone in your pocket. Of course they see nothing wrong by telling everybody what Timmy's order is or when and how he was there.

That's why I'm more about opening up a conversation than saying they're disrespectful or should know better, even if I'm not sure any of them is on tumblr but maybe somehow the topic will end up on instagram or tiktok or whatever.

About Timmy. I haven't done this in a while but let's talk. And first let's remember two things about him: a) 99% of people who met him have perceived him as a nice person, b) he has anxiety about what people will think of him every time he knows the interaction he's having at the moment has a chance to be a worldwide news in the following 24hrs. So him chatting with random people he's ordering food from could very much be a) him being nice because he's nice or b) him being nice because he doesn't want the world to think he's an ass (which could also be being nice in some people's book but you know, i love nuances) or a mix of the two at the same time. And not necessarily be about him wanting to be seen.

On that same thought and the whole he can go unnoticed when he wants to/he could have someone do it for him. To start with the latest, of course he could but why would he? If he's hungry and he's driving past a drive-in (lol) why wouldn't he do it himself? To not interact with 3 people who might recognize him and be happy to see him? What a way to become completely disconnected from the real world and end up like these not so enviable rich people who are unable to survive a day without the help of two PAs.

I do also think "he can go unnoticed if he wants to" doesn't mean the same thing in 2023 that it did in 2018. I do believe that he didn't only buy a 12 millions dollars house because he could make Apple pay for it but because it's an easy way for him to be safe when he's home. Which might not have been possible in a regular house or building. I do believe that going unnoticed for him now mostly mean either staying home or only go to private places (like someone else's house) or some of these exclusive places where you only fine rich people and have every chance to make you become an ass. And even if you can live with that, I bet sometimes he just wants to take a bite on a good old fast food and live the same life as us peasants. Does it qualify as "he wants to be seen"? Not sure. For me it's more like a "he wants that thing and he doesn't care if he's seen in the process."

I think I've mentioned this quite a bit in the past but I hated the rituals when they were being done back in 2018, and I have found with this recent re-emergence of them that my opinion on that has NOT changed lol.

I have a feeling snc know by now that this is going on, considering that a) these people are waiting outside their hotel for them day and night and b) someone decided it would be a good idea to go into the xplrclub chat and spend an hour badgering the mods for info on snc's whereabouts until the mods threatened to ban the person. My guess is that, if nothing else, THAT one got back to them.

It's really shameful behavior, truly. Like, I understand that they haven't been to Australia in many years. I get that it's exciting, and I get the feeling of desperation because of the fact that you don't know when they will be back. But this is going way too far, and peille encouraging it instead of telling these people to stop is just making it so much worse.

But yea, there's a reason they are staying so quiet right now. This is probably a huge part of it.

explaining why i chose to make an animation for lloyd and harumi based on choice by jack stauber because it's my blog and i do whatever the fuck i want

first of all go read the lyrics if you haven't already, the song is 40 seconds it won't take you that long to read the lyrics

also go watch the storyboard/sketch i did for the animation im doing. this is half self promo and half for context lol

basically, i thought the song worked for these two. i was like "if i do this right, i can make the lyrics show the contrast between how lloyd and harumi are as characters and i think that's a really cool thing" so thats what i did. of course, i wouldn't be making this post if i didn't want to go more in depth so i'm gonna explain some frames from the sketch/storyboard.

(also, just as a note, the specifics of what parts of the show the frames are based on will be more clear when the animation is done, but i will be specifying them here)

first 4 frames:

these four are meant to drive home the contrast between lloyd and harumi; that being when it comes to harumi, lloyd, even up to crystalized, has feelings for her (the art for love is based on when he first saw harumi in season 8, the art for heart is based on when harumi betrayed him in the same season) and when it comes to lloyd, especially in season 8 after she's revealed to be the quiet one, harumi is very vengeance driven (the art for brain is loosely based on the whole thing in the oni temple in season 8, and the art for control is just something i came up with lol. the art for control is meant to give a sense of harumi not being entirely in her right mind and being driven more by vengeance than anything else, and not someone you'd be smart to trust either).

for the caffeinate and melatonin frames, i also tried to show contrast between lloyd and harumi. throughout the series, wu is shown to use tea to sort of relax in a similar way some might use coffee to. additionally, certain varieties of tea in ninjago have relaxing properties, so i sort of view it as "tea has a significant role in the life not just of lloyd, but also in the lives of everyone who visits the monastery" for a multitude of reasons. on the other hand, harumi resorts to murder to resolve her problems (murdering her parents and hutchins, attempting to murder lloyd, etc). hence, melatonin with blood splatters. melatonin is a sleep hormone and also has an effect on mood, so i thought "melatonin with blood splatters for harumi" lol

for this one i wanted to show a combination of harumi's manipulative tendancies and her genuine affection for lloyd as of crystalized (as it's implied that she has some genuine feelings for him; when ordered to kill lloyd, she tries to sway him to the overlord's side instead, something the overlord responds with "i see now that you still have feelings for him" to. she protects him and garmadon instead of fighting with the guy she sold her soul to. basically crystalized implies her feelings for lloyd were genuine but she was using them for manipulative purposes which is what this frame's art is meant to show). i thought "you get me going" worked for harumi's attitude towards lloyd prior to dragon form; that is, her goal from the minute her biological parents die to the minute the overlord reveals everything was by his design was to get revenge on lloyd and the other ninja.

tl;dr, this frame is meant to show the complexities of harumi as a character. did i succeed? we will not know until i finish the animation probably.

these two frames are based on the scene in crystalized where lloyd is trying to talk harumi out of hurting innocent people and essentially telling her she doesn't have to be how she is and they get into a back and forth about it. i feel like this part of the song ("i am injury" "no you aren't, you make the choice to be") is what had me in a chokehold when it came to wanting to make an animation featuring these two lmao.

and the final frame. this one is meant to be harumi coming to terms with everything she's done and basically realizing that she's been taking her anger and trauma out on the wrong people her entire life. it's one of the most powerful scenes in the show to me, and due to the nature of this animation i wanted to make it the last frame.

Has opening night for Merrily been announced? I would guess it to be Sunday 8th as there is no performance that night and likely opening night is invite only?

Also the marketing team for Merrily is on fire. So far a really well planned and executed promo strategy, including the timing of the VF feature (which I assumed was shot in Jan given the people in it)…

They still haven't announced the opening night, which is very unusual and frustrating (I'm waiting to book international flights until the opening night is confirmed but have tickets for various days).

The Merrily marketing has been great so far, and they've really done no work except for one photo and video shoot with the three leads before they even opened off-Broadway. And now the Vanity Fair shoot which is pretty niche, but great for all involved. And no marketing so far with the rest of the cast.

Update: the Vanity Fair photoshoot was completed over two days including 7 February.

Hope things are going well so far and you're not too drenched in ice or snow or cold (my brother is in NM and he's freezing his ass off apparently). For reasons that definitely include the upcoming season's proximity, I'm going to try to get more into 911 LS this year. I've decided that while we've got excellent taste in ships, we've done poorly in focusing on shows where those ships can thrive, meaning they have a showrunner who can

tell a compelling story, writers who can bring that story to life, and a promo team that can get the audience excited. Let's take just promo for example. LS just came out with its 2nd or 3rd trailer and it's still 3 week's away!! Even if they are also doing smaller emergencies, the frog storm looked a hell of a lot of more exciting than the blimp "emergency". And from what I've seen of the stills, it will feature a lot of Tarlos, and I haven't seen much in the way of guest stars. Contrast that with RNM. We all remember the seasonal promo posters that looked like an elementary school project and the 5 sec episode previews they abandoned during S4 (this isn't even considering the episode synopsis where if a particular character was mentioned my excitement level flatlined). Then there's the Malex if it all, remember we got so excited when a still of them was promoted on Twitter for 4x02 since it had literally never been done before?? Sad days. And as for OG lately we've gotten confusing/inaccurate episode synopsis, previews of scenes that were made to look intense and turned out to be "meh", stills released right before the episode and then 50 scenes released the day it premieres. Its a mess. And I guess I can't complain that those things didn't feature Buddie since there wasn't anything in the season for them to feature.  I don't think we have to rehash the baffling and horrible writing choices of both RNM and OG's showrunners those are well documented. So that leaves the individual writing of each show, where RNM abandoned logic and 911 abandoned emotion in order to force scenes that did no one any favors. Anyway this got longer than intended and ultimately saltier, I was trying to say Happy New Year and it turned into this. So again happy New year!! Maybe with time and GA input KR will come up with a plotline that doesn't make me hear nails on a chalkboard when it's mentioned.

Hi my friend and Happy New Year to you as well, even though this is now a few days late. (I wanted to finish the book I started yesterday, a sequel to a romcom I very much enjoyed and one of the only actual books I’ve managed to read recently, but it ended up being kind of awful and torpedoed my whole day and sucked the serotonin right out of me instead of giving me MORE like it was supposed to 😒😒😒 hate this for me. So I put this off a little longer so I didn’t end up being TOO salty or going off on a fully unrelated tangent). Luckily I’m back home where it’s chilly (for me) but nothing too wet or miserable and I got to enjoy some sweatpants for a few days before I have to go back to my cold office and uncomfortable work clothes.

You’re so right, we DO have excellent taste in ships but whooo boy WHAT is the deal with being shafted by shows? (And now books too apparently because my life is a joke, hell bent on not allowing me to thrive with the things I find joy in.) I have been soooo jealous of not just the promo coming out so early, but also official stills coming from set during filming! OG couldn’t even get stills for for some episodes until a few hours before airing! To say nothing of the incorrect synopsis/previews, and 700 clips released on episode day messes. Plus LS got new cast photos this year while OG has still been using stuff from s1-2!  I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t been paying much if any attention to news about LS so all I know is the Tarlos stuff sounds really exciting and the only guest stars I remember is for some FBI/DEA something or other operation that (of course) Owen is for some reason involved in helping with. Color me unsurprised. But knowing that’s how LS has been pretty much from the jump, it’s easier to just grit my teeth through the Owen centricity and sometimes it’s at least entertaining 🤷🏻‍♀️ The frog thing sounds interesting but definitely feels like a “hook” that’s going to end up being almost nothing and quickly resolved but if we’re lucky we’ll at least get some jokes out of it about TK taking one home and Carlos getting a panicked look about it. Also, the LS emergencies have never had quite the resonance or the tie in with the main plots that OG had so them cutting back after the ice storm (which really was excessive at 4 episodes and by cutting down on the weird Owen centricity could have been done in 2 *maybe* 2.5 or 3 episodes tops, revolving around the group as a whole more) isn’t probably going to change the format of regular episodes much from previous seasons. But with the wedding coming up, the possibility of Carlos getting injured, and Ronan being a tease and really excited for multiple episodes, I feel like the Tarlos stuff is going to be really good!

I’m cackling because taking shots at the RNM promo department will never NOT be funny. I mean, honestly WTF was their deal with promo posters?! *insert “is this a promo poster for ANTS” gif here* At least they were somewhat more honest by always seaming to make Alex the smallest and furthest away and never near Michael which is....mostly what we got after s1 so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. Not that OG 911 is much better since there’s a fan that does massively impressive posters for episodes that completely outshine anything the official team does.

ANYWAY, I’m with you down in the salt mine and surrounded by wasted potential so lets hope this year we can finally get some more fulfilling stories/storylines, and that our beloved OG wee-woos can get back on track. The only good thing about them having a longer hiatus is they have the chance to take the reaction to the finale, especially Buck’s mess of a storyline, and 6a as a whole into consideration and maybe make some changes. Honestly if they completely dropped Buck’s storyline and it never came up ever again I wouldn’t even care and would actually prefer that at this point. Remember when he got meaty storylines that involved the other main characters and was the focus for a few episodes and then arcs finished and new ones started and we got several things going on for multiple characters at once? *cracked voice* yeah.... I have to admit that I still do kinda think he’ll be back if just briefly to wrap that storyline with Buck (or I guess maybe part of me hopes so just so the narrative doesn’t suffer maybe?) but.. this is a good point. Like there is zero reason to not mention him at this point. And they did mention Marisol and hell even Natalia last season.

So idk. I guess I’m conflicted lol. But my expectations of seeing him are very rapidly decreasing these days. And I know people will say well the insta account is still following him but I don’t think that holds as much weight as some people think it does. We all know they are very aware of the state of things these days, Tim included, so I really don’t expect them to unfollow him (if they do) until after season 8 finishes just to avoid the drama it would cause if they did so now.

Ali and I did talk about this synopsis earlier. We kinda came to the consensus that fandom has probably made Lou into a much bigger thing than he really was in the first place. He wasn't a part of recurring cast. He was a guest star and a pretty unimportant one at that, because we hardly saw him in 7b. So, he was never important enough to mention in that synopsis in the first place.

Those cameos certainly did a number on the fans. It made Tommy seem so much more important than he really was. While Lou was talking about how BT was 'thriving', the cold reality was that Buck and Tommy hardly shared the screen together and when they did, there was no substance to their interactions.

We're still waiting on a more extensive trailer and whether or not he'll be in it. If he isn't anywhere to be seen? We both agree that there might be a good chance that he is gone.

And let's not forget: no promo, no interaction, no mention of his character or the relationship anywhere...

Ok ok i know i KNOW everyone and their mother has already put in their 2 cents on this, but dammit I procrastinated so long with posting my playthru thoughts/screenshots that the (probably?) final DLC for the game is about to come out, and I will do my rants NOW

Everybody's pointed out by now that that screen says you'll work with the TitanS to defeat the end. But you're only controlling one Titan, with the rest nowhere to be seen, even as Sonic gives his speech about not letting the past repeat itself and protecting the world this time

So while I didnt mind the sudden bullet hell gameplay (if anything I found it neat that all those 'hacking' minigames were actually like training for this thing), I did wish that the gameplay had like. Idk, 'phases' for the player where the gameplay switches up depending on which titan you're with, and also that the final bout was gonna be one last round fighting a boss as Super Sonic

I liked the setting of being in space and seeing the planet and moon fly by (totally didn't take that last screenshot so I can shatter the moon later shh)

And yeah final boss in space has already been done in Sonic before, but this was actually my first time playing something like that myself (I could never collect the emeralds in Sonic 3, and I haven't played SA2 yet)

Also I just really like space

The music was awesome, and while it was hard to focus on what The End was saying with Everything happening on screen, I died to it so many times that once the earlier sections became more on 'autopilot' for me, I could focus more on the monologue (I died at that halfway point SO MANY TIMES)

In the end? (Hah) I didn't mind this true final boss, but I found myself wishing it was something more, yknow? But maybe we'll get something like that in the DLC next week? Or at least a better Supreme fight (he was the weakest one of the Titans for me)-- either or, I'm just guessing based on how that's the Titan we've seen in trailers and promos for the DLC

But yeah, those are my final thoughts on the game (until the DLC)

hi anon! thanks for the ask. this is the last one before i'm done clearing out my inbox which is cool i suppose. if anyone has more questions (trailer related or not) feel free to send them in!

so what the trailer has changed for me... well a LOT has changed in the last few months for me in terms of what's happening in the season. but for the trailer specifically...

no phones aka no facetiming- (or texting) this is one of the bigger ones, honestly. i was expecting them to use facetime a lot this season, given the fact that seb, big red, and nini, (and lily, but she's less of a priority there), are all not going to be at camp, and i assumed that this would be how they connected them the most. but at this point it's just letters- they can't even text each other. i hope to see some letter writing or receiving going on. a good letter can be a great time. but i mean seb's at prom, so maybe big red is too. we shall see. and at least i'd anticipate the two of them to come see frozen at the end of the season. we'll see. the phone thing surprised me a LOT, bc they'd facetimed a lot in season 2, so it made sense to me it would carry into this season particularly with the main cast in a different location.

ej is the DIRECTOR. listen- i was expecting him to be a counselor since we got the first look. the promo photo(s) have since affirmed that, now it's confirmed. but- the DIRECTOR? not exactly something i anticipated whatsoever. he's just graduated high school- why is he going to be the first person to direct frozen at a summer camp ever? this is probably the biggest piece of news we received from that trailer. i have complicated feelings about this- but it's pretty cool for him! so go ej truly.

maddox is a counselor- i assumed she'd be a camper from her description (i think everyone did), but well- her badge says "c.i.t." aka counselor-in-training. so she's a counselor. idk if ej and val are counselors or cit's themselves, but truly it doesn't matter much from where i'm standing. i'm kinda shocked. this doesn't influence much for me? but it was for sure a surprise when she came out to collect everyone's electronics and snacks (truly this reminds me so much of when i went to science camp, no electronic devices and no outside food once we got off the bus.)

nini isn't working with jamie (at least not during this season, and if she is, it's not happening on screen at all, or they would've shown a clip of her there imo). i feel like maybe- the jamie thing fell through, hence what she says to miss jenn about feeling like something big is coming, and her family friend marvin promising her that the best is yet to come... this could lead to some family stuff for gina too- the fact that her brother potentially flaked again... even though she loves him, and knows he loves her, that could be hard. i think nini will choose to chase her dream regardless- with or without jamie. she gets reassurance from miss jenn and marvin that she should do so.

what the trailer has reaffirmed that i already anticipated:

ricky's late to camp. he does arrive in episode 1, based off the instagram trailer "group hug" shot of him, given ej and gina's outfits there, but probably not until the end. like- maybe it's the last shot (or second to last shot, last shot being the reaction) of the episode even. it could be a "ricky i'm moving to denver" type of moment from 2.01. if this happens- i called it on july 1st, 2022 lol. only 26 days until i find out if i'm right lol. (i don't think this is necessarily the case- but after "ricky i'm moving to denver- i think it totally could be).

lily doesn't have as much of a presence as my initial thoughts- but those haven't been affirmed by anything so i changed my mind about this a while before we got this trailer, so it's affirmed that she's really not going to have much of any influence on the season. my guess is maybe we see her with ricky in 2.01, and maybe in the finale seeing the musical or something. we'll see. i thought maybe she'd facetime ricky- but that's impossible now bc no phones.

ej and gina are exploring their new relationship, we knew that was coming. we'll see what happens by the end of the season, given almost all their good moments in the trailer are from episode 1. i'm shocked they didn't mention ej's future even once, but him directing the musical can lead into that stuff, and his being stressed talking to gina in the window sorta affirms that well- he's going through some stuff. whether this has to do with directing or his future- maybe the latter and maybe both, but we shall see.
