As a Writer, I create tons of Own Characters, yes. I have honestly so many OCs that it's hard to keep track of them between Original Works and Fanfiction. I have to admit that I never wrote as much fanfiction as I'm doing during those last years, mostly for bad experience with criticism in my first fics. Welp, my fears came true. Natlan characters have ligther skins (more or less). I knew it was coming but i still wished they could’ve been at least respectful. Oddly enough, i feel neutral about it right now? I mean i still heavily agree with people saying that the characters should have darker skins (THEY LIVE IN COUNTRIES THAT MOSTLY HAVE DARKER SKIN, IT AINT HARD MIHOYO) but i dont think i should jump into that rabbit hole because.. it can get messy and idk if im ready for that.

I really do love their designs and all of them look absolutely gorgeous but i just wished that Mihoyo could’ve just.. not do this.

I hope you dont mind me talking about the Natlan skin conterversy here. You can just delete or not reply to this ask if you feel uncomfortable with bringing the topic in your blog. I just simply wanted to vent my thoughts about this whole thing bc idk.. this feels like it might be the start of something much worse for Genshin.. (and i really hope that does not happened bc genshin is genuinely a good and beautiful game even though they could’ve done better for Sumeru and Natlan characters)

I'm honestly not really interested in joining the debate about this, mainly because I feel like it's obvious that this is terribly wrong, so I will add that I find this honestly and genuinely disgusting of Hoyoverse. ESPECIALLY as they have proven over and over again that they CAN make poc characters but won't.

Like, cultural and religious aspects aside, you're telling me that you can make a Bear, Cyborg guy and a whole ass BLUEEE person in ZZZ playable, but not make genshin characters have an actual tan? Make them black? Just even a different shade than paper ass white or whatever that grey "brown" color Cyno/Candace are sporting is? It's genuinely insane.

As a Middle Eastern person, I will say that what irked me the most about Sumeru is that the atmosphere and world building felt like HOME, but the characters did NOT. The people from the countries that Sumeru was based on also come in all shades possible, so it really does become really jarring after a while. And Natlan really slaps you in the face with it even more.

The Archon is an Himeko Expy from what I understood, which is fine on it's own, but did they have to make her the god? It really feels lazy and makes you wonder who these characters are really made for atp (besides degenerate Twitch streamers like Tectone ofc-).

So yeah, there is alot more to it, but this is how I view the entire situation (I don't want to make this too long lmao-) and I totally agree with you, Flower Anon!!

I know this is a Ryusui headcanon, but bare with me a little

Befriending Sai was relatively easy, long chats about videogames and other hyperfixation went smoothly, and in no time both dared to call each other online friends.

By your interactions with Sai you learned some things about him and his life

First, he is part of the Nanami conglomerate, that explains the flamboyant ways of his brother, and all the things both make(that's the other thing too!)

Sai has a younger brother and sometimes he's being dragged by the latest, here and there

Sai isn't forced tho, and by now you guess is just his brothers ways to make some kind of brotherhood or sibling bonding

And then all the planets lined up and in one of those tremendous projects your presence was there for Ryusui to catch on

Now, he really is ambitious and cool

Cho and dark in AvA Have a Very platonic Relationship to each other, but in AvA (the present where cho & dark started fighting) Dark made the Virabot so that no one will hurt them anymore. Chosen disagreed, Dark never felt Declined (bro got his idea Rejected)

Welp, I tried to get everything done before my trip but I didn’t quite make it. Can’t blame me for getting tired though, I’ve been at these requests nonstop since December and I’ve started losing my mind about three months ago lol.      “How are you feeling now, little one?” Wally Darling calmly speaks as he softly caresses you in his hands. “I’m sure far better than you were back in that storm.”

     Almost as if on cue, the bellowing crack of a lightning strike and the subsequent shaking of thunder ravaging against the outside of the home positively cut through the moment, causing Wally to instinctively bring you closer towards his chest for immediate comfort. Soon, however, there is no more outside noise aside from the constant baraging of rainfall, at which point Wally decides to speak up once more.

     “Well, that wasn’t very pleasant, now was it?” he rhetorically asks with a chuckle whilst continuing to hold your tiny form extremely close to his being.

     You, however, for the moment, are just simply in no position to give an answer of any sort to that question, even if one wasn’t really needed in the first place. Wally gives a bit of a nervous gaze of concern down at your being as you suddenly begin to softly sniffle. His grip around your body slowly loosens as you vainly attempt to conceal yourself in his jacket, positively burying yourself into his chest.

     Wally doesn’t exactly wish to bother you too much, considering the traumatizing horrors you must have gone through in the storm. He is rather aware that whatever mental processes are going on inside your mind right now, it would probably be better to just allow them to do their thing to heal you instead of interrupting them to speak.

     Thus, Wally simply observes your minute body silently, eventually deciding to re-tighten his hold ever so slightly after realizing just how comforting being against his giant body seems to be for you. It then seems as if his assumptions become validated the moment that your breathing is steadied with a heave, and a bittersweet smile slowly forms across your face.

     Wally’s assumption is only partially correct, however. Yes, the feeling of having someone so confoundedly larger than you gently nestling your miniscule form against its immensity and caring for all of it so deeply was something you had basically never experienced at this point…however…there just…almost seemed to be something somehow even more wonderful lurking somewhere even more deep. Perhaps…tucked away between several layers of flesh and skin. It almost made you want to melt into it, and be a part of its workings and warmth now and forever.

     Releasing a shudder of comfort, you are gently able to nuzzle your face upon the living puppet’s chest, listening intently to each thump emulating from his heart, and slowly breathing deeply to its beat. 

     “Oh…you poor little thing. All you really needed was affection, is that right?” Wally comments whilst bending his head down to reach to your form. “Well I promise you right here right now…” he tenderly murmurs down to your being. “....that I am always here for you if you need…”

     Wally gently plants a kiss on your head before repeating the final portion for emphasis. “...I am always here if you need…-”

     And then, just like that, everything stopped. 

     It obviously wasn’t as if Wally had intended for it to happen, but because his lips had been around the top of your head whilst he had been taking in air in order to speak, it just happened to be that the pressure that resulted from the upwards motion was also just enough to bring you in, too, causing Wally to instantly jolt into an upright sitting position, whilst his currently extremely stunned, faltering, overburdened mind jittered around inside of its skull tirelessly in order to attempt to figure out what was happening. 

     It would also just happen to be, then, that within that short window of time, you were still somewhat under control of yourself and your actions. Resulting from this, had you just decided to act simply a singular second before, then it most likely would have been that the singular thought that currently screeched within your meager mind practically begging you to call out to be released would have won out in the end. However, in reality, that just simply did not happen.

    Currently, you were just barely able to lift your head within the tightened, lowered confines that was the warm, slimy maw of Wally Darling, without scraping your head up against the roof’s rough ridges. Within a second that seemed instantaneous, however, not only did the maw unexpectedly rise in order to give you significant space to move about, but there also appeared to be a brilliant, yellowish light shining towards the back of the maw, near the gullet, illuminating the pinkish space all around, and beckoning dearly for you.

     Wally was still unable to think, and to you, in that moment, there seemed to be simply no reason to. Shuffling slowly on your knees across the slippery, compressible surface, you cautiously inched your way closer and closer towards the light, nearing into the gullet’s deep drop with each shift.

     Just above your head by this stage lay the uvula, swaying subtly and gently across its domain over the fall. Just like you, it possessed an inscrutable lack of any fear. Unlike you, however, the uvula was destined to remain watchful and stationary, locked upon the top of the soft palate, where it would observe your form lodging itself into the gullet. The gullet of a sentient puppet, who, due to the strange and uncomfortable sensation, was given no choice by his body but to comply, swallowing gently yet fully as a result.

     You are able to slip past the byway, the place where either one entered the tube of the trachea, or, as you had done now, entered the tube of the esophagus; connected in turn with the gurgling organ of the stomach. Yes, indeed, in any regular circumstance, that would indeed be the next destination. However, as you squelched deeper and deeper with each subsequent push of the muscle walls, it somehow became an understanding inside you that the stomach was not where you were headed. You were not entirely sure where exactly the alternate exit was to be for you, however. That was, however, until one final push left a valve in plain sight. The moment the valve opened up was the moment you understood all.

     Speechlessly floating up onto the powerful, thumping organ which for so long had been assumed to be the seat of all human emotions, you quiveringly nestled yourself up onto the heart of a person who, despite being a puppet in technicality, was no less a person than you. You would have loved to just stay there. To stay there and take it all in. To stay there against the deep pounding. To stay there and melt deep inside. That was all you wanted, and also all you had. The unapologetic and by all measures, cruel, faceless concept of fate, however, possessed a significantly different idea.

     It was only a more powerful thump. That was all that it was. Yet that single thump was indeed all which was needed, to send you from your grasp upon the seat of love. You weren’t entirely sure into which valve, ventricle, or otherwise bodily causeway you were being forced into, now. Yet, the next thing you knew, you were squelching into the growling stomach.

     “OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!” Wally repeated to himself incessantly as he started shuddering, locked in mortal terror. “OH, NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO OH LORD THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING THIS JUST CANNOT BE HAPPENING!”

      Alongside the cries and anguish, there also was just a little air released out, which came, naturally, within the form of a deep belch. Wally could indeed perceive only the worst from this sign, still utterly unable to know the truth of his body.

     Due to the manner in which the puppet was known to always speak, the pleadings were still far too soft for you to be able to sense them above the stomach's glorping, low ambiance. You, meanwhile, though still very safe and situated within the body of said Wally Darling, surrounded now in full by the goopy, churning, cushiony walls of the his stomach, were considerably saddened for the moment, mainly of course, due to the fact you had been forcefully thrusted away from his heart.

     And yet, once again, seemingly out of utter nowhere, the light stone again, shimmering above the deep liquids present within. It seemed as though a clear reminder to you of the true reason you were here. Not daring to question what came next, you simply ventured along, wading in with a step to the pool. Your legs begin treading lightly as you slowly lose physical contact with the ground. The light was now clearer as ever, and now was your chance to reach up. 

     “...hey…are you okay in there?” a suddenly crisp and clear call of Wally Darling finally resonated within from outside.

     And then, just like that, the light became snuffed out. 

     You, now left with nothing else you are able to do besides wade your way back to safe territory, and answer the question in the affirmative, are unsure within the word’s entirety just exactly what was happening within this moment. This being, aside from the physical, of course. Yet nothing within your living body told you that something was wrong, and yet you simply decided to go along with it, giving a tranquil and soft, subtle smile, before nuzzling yourself against the walls.

     “Well then…umm…as long as you’re comfortable I suppose!” Wally ends up saying whilst still taking everything in. “Oh good God I’m happy you’re okay…you see I thought for a minute back there I actually…I….umm…yeah let’s not talk about it anymore. I know you’re safe. That’s all that matters to me.”

     Subsequently giving Wally’s stomach wall a light pat in order to let him know that you were just fine, you proceeded to soak in the organ’s warmth, whilst finally settling for your stay. The journey you’d taken was long, and yet here, it had still, in the end, been destined to conclude in this organ. Taking a prolonged deep breath, you knew this was it. You now needed only to close both your eyes, before finally, slipping away.

My best AUs are for Philinda lol. My favourite is Committed to the Cause, a POTUS/USSS one with Coulson as the president and May as his head of security.

If you write chaptered fics, what’s your ideal chapter length to write? Is it different from your ideal chapter length to read?

My ideal chapter length to write is 4–7k, which is also about my ideal chapter length to read. Maybe my reading ideal is on the shorter end, so more like 3–5k, but gfhjsgdhs that’s not too big a difference.

Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”

There are a few that come to mind. The main ones are literally anything by @indilwenofmirkwood (but especially What Makes Her Tick, which can be read here on AO3 and here on FFN) and Kismet by @midnightlovestories (can be read here on AO3) for how they developed plot/romance, analysed my comfort character, and got some whumpy goodness snuck in there. The former is for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. while the latter is for The Addams Family.

Feel for You by @parksanddownton603 (can be read here on AO3) made me fall in love with a specific tone of AU and gave me the motivation to try my hand at writing an AU like they did (also for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). On the flipside, Defensive Wounds by @rebecca-in-blue (can be read here on FFN) is an in-universe fic but I greatly admire the characterisation in it and would love to know and honour my blorbos as well as they do. It’s for NCIS.

Another one for the Addamses, Human by @unhappychildhavingfun (can be read here on AO3) packs the kind of emotional, meaningful punch that I want my writing to throw. Though I also aspire to churn out numerous one-shots that just put my guys in situations the way @suallenparker does (if I must name particulars, the ones that affect me the most in this way have been Bulletproof, Lifeline, Safe and Sound, Liar, Mayism, Second Chances, and Being Someone Else, all for Philinda hfjsgdhhd).

And can’t play dead by @widespindriftgaze (can be read here on AO3) is…simply some of the best creative writing I’ve ever read. I love how they dabble in various, sometimes small/short-lived fandoms; I long to do that.

What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!

I am currently working (well, focusing) on A Galling Yoke, my Sherlock Holmes x Reader exes-/friends-to-lovers casefic. (It was actually supposed to be enemies-to-lovers lolol.) I’m like a third or so into Part 12, and I’ve got like seventeen chapters planned total plus an epilogue. Exciting stuff!!

“No.”

“Mr Holmes, I cannot impose—”

“It shall not happen!”

You straightened in your seat, shoulders tensing. Sherlock groaned and dragged a hand down his face.

“I meant not to be…domineering,” he said. “But […] am I not to assume that you came here…for a reason?”

He and you looked at each other for a long, open moment.

I grabbed that out of the middle of a conversation for Maximum Suspense. I cut out […] because what I have written there currently is a bit of a placeholder. There was another part I wanted to share because it’s got a long quote from Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton”, but I figured that excerpt was a tad too spoilery. I’m sure you guys will prefer this romantic tension anyway. ;P

Alear, Yunaka, and Veyle for the character ask!

I just sent you the same characters lmao same braincell

First impression

Alear: The actual first impression was seeing the leaks and thinking "lol this has to be fake, there's no way this is real".

Then the first trailer released and you can literally see me go "what the fuck is this" in my blog posts. Mainly of course about their design.

Veyle: Really didn't have an impression on her at first beyond "oh she's a cute younger character". Then I saw some footage of Evil Veyle and went "welp, guess she's the twist villain"

Yunaka: Had around the same impression I had with Hortensia: "she looks more like an idol than an FE character". Her personal skill caught my eye though.

Alear: I am COMPLETELY mentally ill about them. Best FE protagonist, there is no joke. Just like Engage itself they seem silly and innocent on the surface but there's a LOT of dark shit you can dig up, but at the same time the heart is clear as day!

Even the hair grew on me quite a lot. I can't believe either they turned out to be plot relevant.

Veyle: BABYGIRL. She has also completely rotted my brain because she has also so much you could talk about her! She's the second protagonist pretty much (she's even in the center of some artwork instead of Alear), she is both adorable, tragic and is really strong even if she doesn't realize it and she needs all of the hugs in the world.

Well, all of the three do, but especially her.

Yunaka: Another one that won't let go. She is SO good. I love how unlike most of the cast she's here on her own terms, she is so silly and funny on the surface but you also really feel for her once you learn more about her. But even if her silliness is mainly a facade, it's also a fundamental part of who she is. She says so herself!

And honestly, I just think she does a wonderful job in expressing self-loathing, struggling with making meaningful connections but also desperately craving them and wanting to be a better person and move on from her gruesome past but having no idea how. Which is a trend with a good chunk of the Engage cast, really.

Favorite moment

Alear: Absolutely when they choose to be revived as a Corrupted. It's the culmination of their whole character arc and I've made a whole post about it.

Veyle: When she plays Zephia for a fool by pretending to be her evil self and throwing Sigurd's ring to Alear, damn the consequences for her.

Keep in mind that she only just now found out what was up with her, is likely in complete shock and guilt but she still manages to improvise to help Alear, fully expecting to be her last action as her own person.

This is why I compared her to Sakura, both are adorably sweet little sister who are secretly REALLY strong-willed and are stronger than they realize. Say what you will about how Fire Emblem writes female characters and we all know there is a lot to say, but they're great at writing sweet little sisters with plenty of guts to spare.

Yunaka: ohh, either her support with Citrinne or the one with Alfred, for completely different reasons.

Idea for a story

Alear: Personally I'd love to see Alear becoming a new professor at the Officers Academy with/instead of Byleth. Even if Fòdlan is the last place they should ever be in for... Several reasons.

For a less crack idea, Past Alear recognizing Nel and Rafal due to a headcanon I'll mention later.

Or even just the whole Fell Family assembling and expanding in Askr, really.

Veyle: I mentioned it already to you and some other people in private, but I want to write a story about Veyle trying to rebuild Gradlon! I just think it has a ton of potential as a post-game story :D

Yunaka: Probably either her life with Alear or her journey after the endgame. While happily ignoring her end card.

Unpopular opinion

Alear: honestly just claiming they're the best FE protagonist is already super unpopular.

Veyle: She's more than just the cute little sister and she has a lot more going for her than people give her credit for.

Yunaka: honestly I never read much about her so I wouldn't be able to tell you🤷

Favorite relationship

Alear: Platonically Veyle, and it's the most important one by FAR. Romantically Yunaka!

Veyle: Platonically Alear again, but I don't have any romantic ships for her at the moment.

Yunaka: Alear and Citrinne romantically, Fogado and Alfred platonically!

Favorite headcanon

Alear: the older siblings Past Alear mentions in their death list are Nel and Rafal from the main Elyos. Because the idea of them recognizing the twins makes me wanna SCREAM

Veyle: Alternate take on her evil self, but rather than being born by random draconic impulses (despite degeneration not being a thing for any of the dragons in Engage), it's a personality born out of her intrusive thoughts.

Because it makes so much sense a small part of her resents humanity and Divine Dragons for the abuse she endured just for being a Fell Dragon. And deep down maybe she wants to believe if she was Sombron's perfect little Fell Princess then maybe he'd finally love her.

It's made abundantly clear that Veyle herself would never and that Zephia's magic did almost all of the work, but I find it way more interesting than simple brainwashing or... Random dragon impulses. Helps give some sense as to why Evil Veyle repeatedly insists she's the real one, even if that's not the case.

Yunaka: Nothing bad happens to her ever in the ending and she returns to Elyos and lives a long, happy life. I have experience with ignoring endings from Echoes already, IntSys can eat my butt.

i haven't existed in a while cuz i forgot i had tumblr but i bring you this au i guess. basically, sans and papyrus are made entirely of crystal. there's more to it but i might make mini comics or something. maybe an ask blog type thing.
