Headcanon:

The person telling the story of Willow (2022) is Madmartigan.

Kit, Airk, Jade, Elora, Boorman and Willow manage to save him along with Graydon from the Wyrm and he makes sure to tell the story of these kids.

okay i've seen no one else talk about this so i will. i know it's the actors’ actual tattoos but the fact that scorpia's hand tattoo looks so much like boorman's tattoos makes me 🥹🥹 bc canonically does that mean they got them together? is it some kind of bond? 

we know they were together before he got caught and tossed in jail, and it seems like it was pretty serious given their interactions in ep5 and it just makes me think symbolically if they were paired and then he left/got taken, and that's one of the many mistakes he feels the need to atone for??? i just feel like there's so much to unpack here and feel like it was kinda fateful that amar and adwoa were cast in their roles and share similar tattoos.

Viva and Willow

I didn’t disappear I was on vacation!! And yeah I said the angst wasn’t over and it isn’t, I’m totally using the googles comics as a cronology to tell you the rootsAU prologue, because we are still on the introduction of the story.

So we know what happened to Willow now, you will have to wait for Rowans POV because I’m going to be posting the present timeline for a while mainly around Viva and Branch, I will try to answer some questions without confusing you with the story. sorry if the new comics take me more time than usually, I’m a busy girly

Nico is still a black cat, yes. Even if you look at actual black cats who tend to be chaotic balls of chaos. And having Nico be the Void Cat ™️ makes sense

But Will is not a golden retriever

Partially because he's not the sunshine character everyone makes him out to be

Katniss is canonically an doting mother.

She has no problem carrying them as many times as they ask. Never ignore them when they are crying and never get angry when they're acting like children. She doesn't care about wet beds or glasses of juice spilled on the table.

Peeta finds it a little strange at the beginning. He was raise with punishment for the smallest accidents. His parents were never very affectionate with any of their children.

One day Katniss is tying Willow's shoes and he says something like "It's time to do it yourself, young lady"

"Take your time, Willow" Katniss say.

Which makes Peeta reflect. It reminds him of all the times he walked to school with his shoes untied because no adult wanted to tie them for him. It reminds him of how he used to be punished for his dirt-stained shoelaces when he came home from school.

When Rye wets the bed at almost five years old, Peeta's first instinct is to warn him, but Katniss says it first:

"Maybe we should drink less water before going to sleep"

Which reminds Peeta of how angry his mother would get when he wet the bed. The first time he remember being physically punished was after an incident like this . Remember how after that he tried to hide the wet bed with blankets and pillows and never spoke to anyone again.

And how Rye, in contrast, would wake him up in the middle of the night saying, "Daddy, I did it again." And Peeta let him sleep between him and Katniss instead of him lying in the wet bed like Peeta did when he was a child.

He shares some of these feelings with Katniss and she makes and he realizes how dysfunctional his family was. And how difficult it is not to repeat the same mistakes.

Peeta felt triggered when one of his children cried... He remembered how much worse it was for him if he cried. But Willow was only six years old and it was normal to cry like that, Peeta learned to wipe away her tears and teach her to regulate her emotions.

One day he caught her stealing some coins from the bakery's cash register. He stopped in complete shock looking at her. He felt fear spread through his body. He remember that it was for this reason that his mother beat his older brother. She took a wooden spoon from the kitchen and hit his hands fourteen times. The number of letters that are in the phrase "I shouldn't steal".

She made Peeta and his middle brother watch. Remember Bran's face turning red as he held back tears and spelled "s-t-e-a-l". When his father came home and saw Bran's hands red at dinner time he didn't ask what happened. Remember hearing Bran cry at bedtime that night.

He felt afraid for Willow.

"What are you doing?"

"I just want to buy some gum on the way to school" she said innocently, not seeming to realize the problem.

"You shouldn't take the coins from there. These money are from the bakery. If you want money to buy something you should ask me or your mother"

She returned the coins to the cash register and nodded.

One day Peeta realized that his children saw no other purpose for a wooden spoon other than stirring the food in the pan.

So I have this headcanon that Hunter casually drops the most concerning information about his health and the things he says get worse and worse every time... Just imagine :

Hunter : Hey isn't it weird how teeth hurt all the time even when you don't have a cavity? It doesn't really make sense from an evolutionary standpoint. Don't you think that's strange?

Willow : Um, I think you need to see a dentist. Pretty sure teeth aren't supossed to hurt at all.

Hunter : Oh... yeah, that would explain a lot...

Willow : ... I'm gonna call Camila.

(Later)

Hunter : Ow, i slept on the wrong side of my face last night...

Gus : The wrong side of your face?

Hunter : When i sleep on the side of my face that has the scar the whole right side of it hurts all day... Usually it just feels numb or tingly. Normal stuff, you know?

Gus : No, dude. That's not normal stuff.

Hunter : Come on! It's just a bit of nerve damge. I mean, who doesn't have any?

Gus : ...

Hunter : ... Are you gonna call Camila too?

(Later again)

Luz : Are you okay?

Hunter : Yeah, I just "blip out" sometimes.

Luz : Blip out?

Hunter : Don't worry, it's fine. I just go unconsious for a few seconds, but from the outside it looks like i'm just staring or blinking really fast for some reason. Usually it's random but it happens with flashing lights sometimes.

Luz : That's... That's a seizure. You're having seizures. How did you not know that was a seizure? How long have you been epileptic??

Hunter : Oh, no! It's not epilepsy! It's just from a concussion i had a few years ago.

Luz : YOU HAVE BRAIN DAMAGE???

Willow has taken residence in a cabin a few miles up the side of a mountain that overlooks the highway out of town. Facing a gas station. She has a mechanical background, learning from others and teaching herself how to fix and maintain machines, cars, anything with metal or wires. Her cabin is hooked up to water coming out of Jackson, with electricity from a generator she traded for food and supplies she grows in a little garden behind her and powered by gas she siphoned early on when finding the now overrun gas station. No one knows where she lives; preferring to remain hidden, a ghost in the wind now that she has a home.
